Harris Campaign Confirms VP Reversed Prior Positions on Immigration

Vice President Kamala Harris is under fire for flip-flopping on her immigration position just two months before the November election as polls reveal immigration is the voter’s top concern.

Harris has been weak on the southern border since day one of President Joe Biden’s term, refusing to visit border towns or stop illegal immigrants from unlawfully entering the U.S. However, just months before the 2024 election, suddenly, she embraced a crackdown on the issue.

Her past positions include decriminalizing illegal crossings, promising to close Immigration Customs and Protection (ICE) detention centers, and saying that ICE should be abolished or “started from scratch” have all come back to haunt Harris, forcing her to change her views. In a statement confirmed to Fox News, the vice president has reversed course and now believes that “unauthorized border crossings are illegal.”

Even more progressive than Biden, Harris has shifted her positions to align with the president’s and signaled her support for a bipartisan bill that would increase funding for border security and ICE.

“[Harris will continue] to ensure sufficient resources to enforce our laws and prioritize detention and removal for individuals who pose threats to public safety and national security, as well as ensure compliance with immigration proceedings and decisions, including removal,” the Harris campaign said. ‘She Ain’t Made for This’: Harris Aides, White House Staffers Vilify Her in Expository Book

A book written by progressives, about progressives, blasted Kamala Harris at a time when political observers speculated whether she would be replaced as Joe Biden’s vice president. In it, White House aides outlined Harris’s inability to define a political agenda and her total reliance on personality.

Now, with Harris in a tight race for the presidency with Donald Trump, the book has been resurfaced eight months after its release.

As recently as the summer of 2023, a cavalcade of Democratic party superstars like California Gov. Gavin Newsom were brandishing their leadership credentials as calls grew for Biden to step aside. Once that time passed, the left-wing whisper machine turned on Harris and her historically abysmal favorability numbers.

Enter “The Truce: Progressives, Centrists, and the Future of the Democratic Party,” which dropped in January. That was just enough time for the left to replace Kamala Harris and, one would think, supplied them with enough ammunition to do it.

“It was rotten from the start,” a top aide from her 2020 campaign noted. “A lot of us, at least folks that I was friends with on the campaign, all realized that: ‘Yeah, this person should not be president of the United States,’ the aide told the authors. Inspector General Audit: FBI Mishandled 13 Percent of Child Sex Crime Cases From 2021-2023

The FBI has mishandled a minimum of dozens of child sex crime cases between October 2021 and February 2023, the Department of Justice’s (DOJ) Office of the Inspector General (OIG) said in an audit report released Thursday.

Following allegations that the FBI failed to conduct an adequate investigation into the crimes of former Team USA women’s gymnastics physician Lawrence Nassar — leading to the DOJ settling with the victims for $138.7 million — the OIG began auditing to see how poorly the bureau was handling child sex abuse complaints.

Out of 3,925 cases opened by the FBI between October 1, 2021, and February 26, 2023, allegedly involving “a hands-on sex offense against a child or similar offense,” the OIG reviewed 327 incidents as part of its audit.

Out of those incidents, 42 — 13 percent — were flagged for further FBI review because the inspectors “believed the incident may require immediate attention.”

“Concerns that led us to flag incidents included a lack of recent investigative activity, lack of logical investigative steps, not reporting suspected child abuse to appropriate agencies, leads that were not appropriately covered, and instances of substantial non-compliance with FBI policies,” the report stated. ‘The Polls Are Rigged’: Trump Gives Mixed Messages on Polling in Race Against Harris

Former President Donald Trump has given conflicting statements on the validity of recent polling in the 2024 race against Vice President Kamala Harris.

At a campaign rally Thursday afternoon in Potterville, Michigan, Trump first claimed that he was doing well in presidential polls before casting doubt on their accuracy.

“Every time they see me going up in the polls, and we’re leading in the polls, and I think we’re leading by a lot. You know, the polls, the polls are rigged too,” Trump told the crowd of supporters. . .

Hours later, during a town hall with former Democratic Hawaii congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard in Wisconsin, Trump bragged about beating Harris in polling.

“The polls have us up here. We’re up in this — we’re up in states, but it’s close. It’s close,” Trump said. “And, you know, they cheat like hell. Vice President Kamala Harris has played a vital role in what is unquestionably the worst border crisis in American history. Over the past four years of the Biden-Harris administration, millions of “undocumented” illegal aliens have poured over the southern border, and this disaster promises to grow much larger if Harris is able to pull out a win over former President Donald Trump in November’s election.

Although numbers vary, it is estimated there could be upward of 10 million illegal aliens who have made their way across the border since January 2021. That crisis, in turn, has precipitated a flood of criminal activities. Human smuggling and trafficking, sex trafficking, drug trafficking and gun running are rampant. . .

NBC News further reported crossings at the southern border had hit a 21–year high, with over 188,000 border crossers reported just in June of 2021. Approximately 105,000 were sent back to Mexico using a Trump-era Centers for Disease Control and Prevention authority called Title 42. Around 8% of undocumented migrants crossing into the U.S. in March 2021 had been children, a number that increased in June. But children were not subject to expulsions under Title 42, and were instead sheltered within the U.S., and paired with a sponsor. . .

Migrant encounters have continued to break records year–over–year, as the Biden administration undoes all of the Trump-era policies. To change the subject, the media, alongside the administration, have wildly propagandized incidents at the border between Border Patrol and illegal aliens.

For example, Harris pushed a totally false narrative about Border Patrol agents in the Del Rio Sector whipping undocumented migrants from Haiti to push them back.

This Sleep Routine Can Cut Your Heart Disease Risk by 20%: New Study

. . .New research finds that people who catch up on zzz’s on the weekends can cut their risk of heart disease by up to 20%.

“Sufficient compensatory sleep is linked to a lower risk of heart disease,” said study co-author Yanjun Song, a researcher with Fuwai Hospital in Beijing. “The association becomes even more pronounced among individuals who regularly experience inadequate sleep on weekdays.”

Song’s team analyzed sleep data from 90,900 UK residents. Nearly 22% — about 19,800 participants — were categorized as sleep-deprived because they slumbered less than seven hours a night on average.

Researchers followed the participants for nearly 14 years, monitoring hospital and death records for cardiac diseases including heart failure, atrial fibrillation and stroke.

Bank Employee Found Dead at Her Desk, and It’s Unclear How Long She Sat Unnoticed

Employees at a Wells Fargo corporate office in Tempe, Arizona, say the company hasn’t done enough after an employee was found dead at her desk on Aug. 20.

Police said they were called to the offices by building security on a report of an unconscious employee.

They found 60-year-old Denise Prudhomme dead at her desk.

Police have only said that they had not found any suspicious evidence related to her death but have not released any other details. . .

Patriots Show Up to Protest After School District Forbids Teen From Flying American Flag on Truck

Members of a community in Oklahoma rallied behind a local teen whose high school has forbidden him from flying an American flag on the back of his pickup truck.

Caleb Horst just began his senior year at Edmond North High School in Edmond, Oklahoma, a city of nearly 100,000 residents about 15 miles north of Oklahoma City. Last Wednesday, he drove to school with a giant American flag attached to his truck, just as he has done “for quite a while,” he said.

However, school administrators informed him that he could not continue to fly the flag on his truck and warned him not to show up with the flag on Monday.

Rather than heed the warning, Horst and dozens of his fellow American patriots, both students and members of the community, drove to the school’s campus Monday morning and peacefully protested the ban on American flags affixed to vehicles.

According to the New York Post, more than 50 cars arrived at 7 a.m. that morning — some adorned in the red, white, and blue — to show their support for Horst and for public displays of patriotism more generally. ‘Willful, Deliberate, Premeditated’: Jury Finds Former Democratic Official Guilty of Murdering Reporter

A jury found a former Democratic Las Vegas elected official guilty of murdering a reporter Wednesday.

Robert Telles, 47, the former Clark County Public Administrator, was found guilty of first-degree murder over the death of Jeff German, who was a reporter for the Las Vegas Review-Journal, according to the outlet.

German was stabbed to death on Sept.2, 2022. Tellas had lost the Democratic primary in June 2022, a failure that was attributed partly to German’s articles about alleged misconduct, CNN reported. German had written on allegations that Tellas had engaged in an “inappropriate relationship” with a “staffer” and fostered a “hostile work environment.”

The jury found the murder was “willful, deliberate, and premeditated,” according to a video shared to Twitter.

Poll Reveals Majority of Americans Doubt Kamala Harris’ Sincerity, Prefer Trump’s Authenticity

In a striking new poll conducted by The Economist/YouGov from August 25-27, a majority of Americans express doubts about Vice President Kamala Harris’ sincerity, suggesting she speaks to placate rather than genuinely believe in her messages. The poll, which surveyed 1,554 Americans, reveals that 53 percent of respondents believe Harris is merely telling the public what they want to hear, rather than conveying her true beliefs. Only 35 percent of those surveyed think Harris genuinely believes in what she says, with 12 percent remaining unsure.

The skepticism towards Harris’ sincerity extends to registered voters, with 54 percent of the 1,368 sampled expressing doubts about her authenticity. This contrasts sharply with the 39 percent who believe in her genuine conviction and the 7 percent who are unsure. The trend is particularly pronounced among independent voters, where only 21 percent view Harris as sincere, while 56 percent believe she is just saying what she thinks will please voters. Another 22 percent of independents are uncertain about her sincerity.

The poll results present a stark contrast to the public perception of former President Donald Trump. According to the same survey, 51 percent of Americans view Trump as speaking from his own beliefs, compared to 39 percent who think he is simply trying to appease voters. Among registered voters, 53 percent see Trump as sincere, while 41 percent believe he is more concerned with pleasing the public. Nearly half of independent voters, 48 percent, regard Trump as expressing his own views, compared to 36 percent who think he is placating voters. Only 16 percent of independents are unsure about Trump’s sincerity.

These findings underscore a significant divide in public perception between Harris and Trump. The poll also highlights a broader sentiment among voters, who perceive Trump as a stronger leader compared to Harris, who is viewed as weak in leadership qualities, as reported by Breitbart News.

With a margin of error of ± 3.2 percentage points, the poll reflects a clear preference among Americans for leaders they believe are authentic and genuine, pointing to a growing dissatisfaction with the perceived insincerity of current political figures.
