DNC Sent Millions To Law Firms Behind ‘Unprecedented Lawfare’ Campaign Against Trump

The Democratic National Committee (DNC) has sent millions of dollars to law firms that are intimately involved in an “unprecedented lawfare” campaign against former President Donald Trump, according to Federal Election Commission (FEC) records reviewed by the Daily Caller.

The DNC has paid close to $2 million since August of 2021 to Kaplan Hecker & Fink LLP for “legal services,” according to the DNC’s FEC filings. Kaplan Hecker & Fink LLP founding partner Roberta A. Kaplan represented E. Jean Carroll in her sexual assault and defamation suits against Trump. The New York Times previously reported that Reid Hoffman, the billionaire co-founder of LinkedIn, helped pay for Carroll’s lawsuits.

The DNC did not pay the firm for any services from its founding in 2017 until August of 2021. Carroll initiated her first lawsuit against Trump in 2019.

The firm states that it was founded to “build a law firm for the future rooted in principles of equity, integrity, and justice.” Partner Joshua Matz served as counsel for the House Judiciary Committee during the first Trump impeachment trial. He was invited back to serve on the second impeachment trial, according to the firm’s website. The firm also touts “representing former U.S. District Court Judge John Gleeson as a court-appointed amicus in United States of America v. Michael T. Gavin Newsom Blames Conservatives, Right-Wing Media For Noticing California’s Dysfunction On His Watch

Video footage shows California Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom appearing to blame Republicans and conservative media for the state’s failures during his “State of the State” address on Tuesday.

While addressing the state, Newsom discussed the problems facing residents living in areas governed by Democrats. “You hear wall-to-wall, right-wing media coverage about lawless blue cities and blue states,” he said, according to video footage circulating on social media. “In fact, California’s violent crime rate is about half of what it was in the 1990s.”

The governor continued, claiming that California’s “values and our way of life are the antidote to the poisonous populism on the right and the fear and anxiety that so many people are feeling today.”

Report: Group Demands That ATF Seize Congresswoman’s Guns Citing Illegal Drug Allegations

A left-leaning activist group is calling for the authorities to seize Colorado Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert’s guns after accusing her of illicit drug use.

American Muckrakers sent a letter on June 23 to several federal and state government officials including ATF Director Steven Dettelbach, Colorado Attorney General Phillip J. Weiser and others demanding that they take action against the lawmaker.

The organization, which bills itself as a watchdog group to hold politicians accountable, demanded an investigation into the lawmaker’s alleged illegal drug use. It cites a recorded phone call with Jessica Spaulding, a “school friend and former employee of Boebert’s,” in which the lawmaker allegedly admitted to frequently using methamphetamine.

The organization alleged that Spaulding recounted an altercation in which guns were brandished while Boebert allegedly threatened her at a bar when she said she supported Hillary Clinton in the 2016 election. “I’ll shoot you in your face if you tell me you voted for Hillary Clinton,” the lawmaker allegedly said.

Abortion Giant Planned Parenthood Will Dump $40 Million to Boost Biden, Democrats

Abortion giant Planned Parenthood announced it is spending $40 million to prop up 81-year-old President Joe Biden and Democrats in key congressional races ahead of November, The Hill reported.

The organization, which was founded by an infamous racist with ties to the eugenics movement, made the announcement on Monday to coincide with the second anniversary of the Supreme Court’s Dobbs decision. The Dobbs decision overturned the court’s 1973 Roe v. Wade decision — which had invented a constitutional right to abortion for 50 years — and returned the issue of abortion to individual states.

The funding blitz comes as Biden and Democrats around the country continue to make abortion the centerpiece of their campaigns, rather than addressing other pressing issue like the flailing economy and the porous southern border. I would have never thought Snopes would be the one to drop an atomic bomb on liberal America like this—but here we are. One of the popular liberal myths about Donald Trump is the ‘both sides’ event after Charlottesville, where the media and Democrats for years have alleged Donald Trump was referring to the neo-Nazis that assembled during that Unite the Right rally, which left dozens injured and a woman dead after one white supremacist drove his car through a crowd of counter-protesters.

It’s the event that reportedly spurred Joe Biden to run for president. There is no doubt that Biden’s debate team was prepping him to sneak this attack line in the upcoming debates, and now they can’t. We’ll see who is truly prepared because Snopes shredded this liberal talking point, rating it “false.” We’ve known for years it was, as have you, but it’s now official: the ‘very fine people on both sides’ myth about Trump is dead (via Fox News):

The left-leaning fact-checking website Snopes acknowledged Saturday that former President Trump never called neo-Nazis “very fine people” during his press conference following the Charlottesville “Unite the Right” rally in 2017.

Instagram Urges Users to Reconsider Following Tucker Carlson in ‘Insane Warning’

Tucker Carlson has over 3.7 million followers on Instagram. On X, he has nearly 13 million followers. While his following on X is likely far more significant because it is the ostensibly less censorious platform where Carlson routinely uploads episodes of his new show, there may be another reason to account for the delta.

Ashton DeGroot, Blaze Media’s social media content coordinator, observed Monday that following Carlson is no easy feat on the Meta platform.

A perfunctory search for Carlson failed to turn up his verified account. Instead, impersonators and fan accounts flooded the results. After multiple tries, it appeared clear that Carlson’s verified account would only appear if his exact handle, @TuckerCarlson, was entered into the search bar.

Upon finding Carlson’s account, DeGroot found that Instagram put up one last barrier to engagement, imploring prospective followers to reconsider.

The pop-up reads, “Are you sure you want to follow tuckercarlson?”

Julian Assange Agrees to Biden Admin Plea Deal

WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange struck a deal Monday with the Biden administration, pleading guilty to a felony charge related to his alleged role in releasing classified U.S. material, according to multiple reports.

The 52-year-old reported agreed to the single criminal count of violating the U.S. espionage law by “conspiring to obtain and disclose classified U.S. national defense documents,” according to filed court documents from the U.S. District Court for the Northern Mariana Islands, Reuters reported. Assange was seen leaving the Belmarsh maximum security prison in the United Kingdom where he has spent nearly 5 years being held up while waiting to be extradited to the U.S.

“Julian Assange is free,” Wikileaks posted to Twitter. “He left Belmarsh maximum security prison on the morning of 24 June, after having spent 1901 days there. He was granted bail by the High Court in London and was released at Stansted airport during the afternoon, where he boarded a plane and departed the UK.”

“This is the result of a global campaign that spanned grass-roots organisers, press freedom campaigners, legislators and leaders from across the political spectrum, all the way to the United Nations,” the post continues. “This created the space for a long period of negotiations with the US Department of Justice, leading to a deal that has not yet been formally finalised. We will provide more information as soon as possible.”

Video footage posted online captured the Wikileaks founder boarding a jet in England where he will return to his native country, Australia.

Police: Temporary Election Worker for Maricopa County Arrested for Theft of Keys From Election Center

A temporary election worker for Maricopa County in Arizona was arrested after he allegedly stole items from an election center.

Law enforcement officials revealed that 27-year-old Walter Ringfield was arrested on Friday after he reportedly stole a security fob and keys from the Maricopa County Tabulation and Election Center, according to KTAR News.
