New York Times Publisher Admits White House Gets ‘Extremely Upset’ With Its Reporting on Biden’s Age, Poor Polling

The publisher of the New York Times admitted Monday that the White House is “extremely upset” with the paper’s coverage of President Biden’s dismal approval ratings and voter concerns about his age.

“He is a historically unpopular incumbent and the oldest man to ever hold this office,” AG Sulzberger said in an interview with the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism.

“We’ve reported on both of those realities extensively, and the White House has been extremely upset about it,” the Gray Lady’s publisher added.

Sulzberger, 43, vowed that his paper will “continue to report fully and fairly” despite the criticism it has received from the 81-year-old president’s staff.

“We are not saying that this is the same as [former President Donald Trump’s] five court cases or that they are even,” the publisher explained. “They are different. But they are both true, and the public needs to know both those things.” (Read more from “New York Times Publisher Admits White House Gets ‘Extremely Upset’ With Its Reporting on Biden’s Age, Poor Polling” HERE)

Navy’s STEM ‘Equity’ Program Prioritized Candidates, Internships Based on Race, Documents Show

The U.S. Navy approved more than $750,000 for a project that, while purporting to “equitably” increase the number of students interested in serving in the Navy’s STEM fields, prioritized recruiting underrepresented minority students, documents obtained by the Daily Caller News Foundation show.

The University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) proposed a way to encourage students to pursue degrees in the fields of science, technology, economics and math amid pressures for the U.S. military to outcompete adversaries in technological development, according to the since-approved application obtained by the Functional Government Initiative through a records request and provided to the DCNF.

Although the project was framed as providing an opportunity for all students to break into the STEM fields based on the students’ qualifications, the Navy granted a budget extension to include 75 scholarships for underrepresented minority students and gave them first selection for the few on-campus paid research internships created through the program.

The proposal estimated between 44% and 75% participation by the minority students.

“Implementation of this innovative program will increase the number of STEM students from diverse backgrounds who gain competitive skills and real-world experience in naval priority areas, who graduate with STEM degrees, and who join the STEM workforce,” the proposal reads.

Biden Failing on World Stage: Cargo Ship Could Sink After Houthi Attack; U.S. Drone Downed; U.S. Cargo Ship Hit

President Joe Biden is once again failing on the world stage to protect American interests and to deter aggression from America’s enemies as the Iranian-backed Houthi terrorist organization seriously damaged a cargo ship near the Arabian Peninsula over the weekend and appeared to shoot down a U.S. drone.

British maritime authorities said that the attack on the Belize-flagged commercial shipping vessel M/V Rubymar happened 35 nautical miles south of Al Mukha, Yemen, in the Bab el-Mandeb Strait connecting the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden.

The front of the vessel and its engine room were hit by anti-ship ballistic missiles, an official at the ship’s company told Bloomberg. The crew was forced to abandon the ship due to the damage.

The Houthis claimed in a statement that the ship had “suffered catastrophic damage” and that it was “now at risk of potential[ly] sinking.”

The ship’s security firm, LSS-SAPU, told the BBC: “We know she was taking in water. There is nobody on board now. The owners and managers are considering options for towage.” (Read more from “Biden Failing on World Stage: Cargo Ship Could Sink After Houthi Attack; U.S. Drone Downed; U.S. Cargo Ship Hit” HERE)

Video: Trans Controversy Erupts When Girls Basketball Game Ends in Forfeit Following Three Injuries

A high school girls basketball game ended in a forfeit at halftime after three girls suffered injuries in a match-up against a team that reportedly includes a male player who is six-feet tall and has facial hair.

The coach of a Massachusetts high school team, Collegiate Charter School of Lowell, ended the game early against KIPP Academy after numerous injuries, a press release from the charter school says, alluding to the school’s commitment to “inclusivity and safety.”

“The bench was already depleted going into the game with the 12-player roster having four players unable to play,” the press release reads. “When the coach saw three more girls go down in the first half leaving him with five players, he made the call to end the game early.”

“Once the third was injured, the remaining five expressed concern to him about continuing to play,” it continues. “The players feared getting injured and not being able to compete in the playoffs.”

The school added that it supports the coach’s decision to call the game, notably emphasizing its commitment to “inclusivity” and “equity.” (Read more from “Video: Trans Controversy Erupts When Girls Basketball Game Ends in Forfeit Following Three Injuries” HERE)

Trump Must Pay Half a Billion Dollars Before He Can Appeal New York Decision

Former President Donald Trump must pay nearly half a billion dollars as a bond to New York State before he can appeal the ruling by Judge Arthur Engoron last week that he must pay $354 million in fines — over $450 million, with interest — for fraud.

Critics have noted that Trump is the only person ever to be sued under an obscure New York fraud statute that does not require any harm be done, and that effectively criminalizes the everyday practice of real estate valuations in negotiations with banks.

Though Attorney General Letitia James — who ran for office promising to target Trump — claimed that no one is above the law, her case against Trump marks the only such case in the history of the state. And the staggering fine is likewise unprecedented.

Jonathan Turley points out another astonishing fact at the New York Post: before he can appeal, Trump must pay the whole fine[.] (Read more from “Trump Must Pay Half a Billion Dollars Before He Can Appeal New York Decision” HERE)

Trump Debuts Own-Brand $399 Shoes at ‘Sneaker Con’

If the shoe fits, wear it. That is the message former president Donald Trump hopes his supporters will heed after he launched an exclusive, signature brand of shoes Saturday at “Sneaker Con,” modestly self-titled as “The Greatest Sneaker Show on Earth.”

AP reports the shoes, shiny gold high tops with an American flag detail on the back, are being sold as “Never Surrender High-Tops” for $399 on a new website that also sells other Trump-branded shoes and “Victory47” cologne and perfume for $99 a bottle.

The 2024 hopeful will be the 47th president if elected again.

The website says it has no connection to Trump’s campaign, though Trump campaign officials promoted the appearance in online posts.

The website outlines it is run by CIC Ventures LLC, a company Trump reported owning in his 2023 financial disclosure. The website states the new venture “is not political and has nothing to do with any political campaign,” according to the AP report. Hillary Clinton’s Comments on Trump and NATO Are Not Going Over Well

Twice failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton is weighing in on President Donald Trump’s demands NATO countries pay their committed two percent of the alliance or face invasion from Russia. Trump has always maintained NATO countries must pay their defense obligations — obligations NATO governments agreed to as part of receiving collective protections of the alliance.

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton warned Saturday that former President Donald Trump will seek to withdraw the U.S. from NATO if he wins a second term in the White House.

In remarks during a lunchtime panel at the Munich Security Conference, Clinton urged delegates to take Trump “literally and seriously” as he seeks re-election.

Clinton, who unsuccessfully ran against Trump in the 2016 presidential election, also warned Saturday that the former president will seek to “pull us out of NATO.”

“He will do everything he can to become an absolute authoritarian leader if given the opportunity to do so. And he will pull us out of NATO even though the Congress passed a resolution saying that he couldn’t without congressional support, because he will just not fund our obligations,” she said.

Trump Says Alexei Navalny’s Death Made Him ‘More Aware of What Is Happening’ in U.S.

Former President Donald Trump addressed Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny’s sudden death in a Truth Social post on Monday, saying that it has opened his eyes to “what is happening” in the U.S.

Navalny, a critic of Russian President Vladimir Putin, died in a remote Russian prison on Friday after losing consciousness following a walk, according to Russian authorities. Navalny had been sentenced to prison in January 2021 after returning to Moscow from Germany, where he was undergoing treatment for poisoning from a nerve agent that he blamed on the Kremlin. . .

Trump’s statement — which made no mention of Putin — comes days after U.S. leaders, including President Joe Biden, blamed the Russian leader for Navalny’s death.

“Russian authorities are going to tell their own story. But make no mistake, make no mistake, Putin is responsible for Navalny’s death. Putin is responsible,” Biden said in a Friday press conference. “What has happened to Navalny is yet more proof of Putin’s brutality. No one should be fooled — not in Russia, not at home, not anywhere in the world — Putin does not only target citizens of other countries … He also inflicts terrible crimes of his own people.” (Read more from “Trump Says Alexei Navalny’s Death Made Him ‘More Aware of What Is Happening’ in U.S.” HERE)

Mother Allegedly Drives Over 7-Year-Old Son After Forcing Him to Walk Home as ‘Punishment’

In a shocking incident in Alabama, a 27-year-old mother, Sarai Rachel James, is accused of driving over her seven-year-old son after forcing him to walk home from school as a punishment. The incident occurred on February 8, following reports of the child causing trouble at his school in Boaz, according to the New York Post.

Allegedly informed by the school’s principal about her son’s misbehavior, James decided to enact a severe punishment by instructing her son to walk or run home. The situation took a dark turn when she reportedly drove behind or alongside the boy for about eight blocks after making him get out of the vehicle.

As the child attempted to grab the door handle of the slow-moving car before reaching home, his mother accelerated, causing him to be dragged beneath the vehicle, according to Boaz Chief of Police Michael Abercrombie. The child sustained abrasions on his back and the side of his head during the incident.

Despite the severity of the situation, Chief Abercrombie suggested that the mother may not have been aware of her son’s attempt to grab the door handle, stating, “She may not have realized he was doing that.”

Following the incident, the child was transported to the University of Alabama hospital, where he received medical attention for his injuries. Chief Abercrombie noted, “God watched over him,” as the child survived the traumatic ordeal.

James was subsequently arrested and charged with aggravated child abuse. As a result, she is now prohibited from having contact with her son. Records show that she was released on a $50,000 bond three days after her arrest.

Additionally, a 53-year-old woman who was reportedly in the vehicle at the time of the incident is now facing a misdemeanor charge of endangering the welfare of a child. She was released from jail on a $500 bond.

Ridiculous: Conservative Actor Slammed for ‘Racist’ Beyoncé Comments

[John Schneider,] the actor known for his role in the 1979 TV show “Dukes of Hazzard” is being labeled a racist after comparing Beyoncé to a dog marking its territory when she put out two country-themed tracks this month.

“They’ve got to make their mark, just like a dog in a dog walk park. You know, every dog has to mark every tree, right? So that’s what’s going on here,” Schneider, 63, said while appearing on conservative media outlet One American News. . .

“The lefties in the entertainment industry just won’t leave any area alone, right? They just have to seize control over every aspect, don’t they,” asked the host.

According to Schneider, it’s usually the other way around with country stars attempting to break into mainstream music.

“I know a little something about country music,” Schneider — who has released several country albums — asserted.
