Joe Biden Got $40K From China Funds, Brother James Admits in Bombshell Impeachment Interview

First brother James Biden confirmed during his impeachment inquiry testimony that a $40,000 check made out to former Vice President Joe Biden in 2017 used funds James received from a Chinese government-linked company — while James also revealed he received overseas income as recently as last year.

James, 74, insisted that he didn’t believe the company, CEFC China Energy, was controlled by Beijing — claiming that “I just misspoke” when telling the IRS in a 2022 interview that first son Hunter Biden, who was partnering with his uncle, had described CEFC chairman Ye Jianming as a “protégé” of Chinese President Xi Jinping.

“Where did you believe the source of the money that was going into [Hunter Biden’s company] Owasco, prior to being sent to you, was coming from?” an investigator asked James during the Feb. 21 interview, according to an official transcript released Friday.

“CEFC,” James conceded — following an extended back-and-forth in which the first brother’s attorney Paul Fishman tried to argue that “money’s fungible” before being reminded by a House staffer that James “did not have sufficient funds” to make the $40,000 alleged loan repayment on his own, “so it is traceable.”

The interview also established that James Biden received $840,000 over four transfers between November 2022 and July 2023 from Argentinian businessman Jose Luis Manzano, which the first brother said came from selling half of his stake in Manzano’s holding of Argentinian natural gas company Metrogas. MSNBC Hosts Blast ‘White Rural Voters’ as Conspiracy-Driven ‘Threats to Democracy’ (VIDEO)

Apair of MSNBC panelists derided “white rural voters” as ignorant, conspiracy-driven rubes who present a “threat to democracy.”

Journalist Paul Waldman and University of Maryland professor Thomas Schaller went on MSNBC Monday to promote their new book, “White Rural Rage: The Threat to American Democracy” with “Morning Joe” co-host Mika Brzezinski.

“We lay out the four-fold interconnected threat that white rural voters pose to the country,” said Schaller. “They’re the most racist, xenophobic, anti-immigrant, anti-gay geodemographic group in the country.”

“Second, they’re the most conspiracist group,” Schaller continued. “QAnon support and subscribers, election denialism, Covid denialism and scientific skepticism, Obama birtherism.”

“Third, anti-democratic sentiments,” Schaller added. “They don’t believe in an independent press, free speech. They’re most likely to say the president should be able to act unilaterally without any checks from Congress or the courts or the bureaucracy. They’re also the most strongly white nationalist and white Christian nationalist.”

WATCH: FBI Arrests Blaze Reporter Over January 6 Reporting

The FBI arrested a Blaze Media journalist who frequently reports on the January 6 Capitol riot, putting the investigative journalist on full display for a “perp walk” even after he turned himself in to authorities.

The arrest, captured on video and posted by Blaze CEO Glenn Beck, shows a handcuffed and jacket-less Steve Baker being escorted by FBI agents from a building to a car.

Baker was charged with four misdemeanors related to his reporting at the U.S. Capitol back on January 6, 2021.

The four charges are knowingly entering or remaining in any restricted building or grounds without lawful authority; disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricted building or grounds; disorderly conduct in a capitol building; and parading, demonstrating, or picketing in a capitol building.

Earlier this week, the FBI ordered Baker to surrender himself on Friday morning. Baker said the FBI told him to arrive at the field office in “shorts and sandals,” but he arrived in a suit and tie instead.

Joe Biden’s Brother Told the IRS That Hunter Was in Business With ‘Protege’ of Chinese President

President Joe Biden’s brother told the Internal Revenue Service that Hunter Biden told him he was in business with a “protege of President Xi,” referring to the leader of China, according to documents reviewed during testimony by Jim Biden to Congress released Friday.

“It was alleged by Hunter to me, and I, obviously, I said that, and that’s my recollection,” Jim Biden said in regards to Ye Jianming, the chairman of Chinese energy firm CEFC, who was later arrested for fraud in China and disappeared.

He later said his comments to IRS investigators used a “term of art,” saying “It was a gratuitous comment, okay, and it wasn’t well chosen, okay, being a protege of the chairman of the Chinese Communist Party.”

Jim Biden testified to the House Oversight and Judiciary committees on February 21 as part of their impeachment inquiry into Joe Biden. The committees released the transcript Friday, a day after they released the transcript of testimony by Hunter Biden, who engaged in overseas businesses with his father’s brother.

Jim Biden said in the deposition that he helped Zang Jianjun, Chairman Ye’s lieutenant, get a U.S. visa through a former immigration official, find an apartment in New York City, and locate a school for his children. “I was doing it out of personal kindness to — to familiarize him and his family with the city,” he said. Return of the Pronoun Police: Elon Musk’s X/Twitter Reinstates Rules Against Misgendering, ‘Deadnaming’

Elon Musk’s platform X/Twitter has reinstated woke rules against “misgendering” and “deadnaming” transgender people after dropping the rules to great fanfare last year.

Ars Technica reports that X/Twitter recently updated its abuse and harassment policy page to include a new section explaining its rules against intentionally using the wrong pronouns for a person or referring to them by a name they no longer use — called “deadnaming” by woke LGBT radicals. The new “Use of Prior Names and Pronouns” section states that X/Twitter will “reduce the visibility of posts” that incorrectly gender a person or use their old name rather than their new one adopted during transition.

This move comes after X/Twitter dropped its longstanding prohibition on deadnaming and misgendering of transgender users back in April 2023. At the time, GLAAD CEO Sarah Kate Ellis criticized the change as “the latest example of just how unsafe the company is for users and advertisers alike” under the ownership of Elon Musk, who has a history of liking and sharing anti-trans content.

Under the updated policy, X/Twitter will take action when it hears directly from the target of the misgendering or deadnaming, “given the complexity of determining whether such a violation has occurred.” GLAAD senior director Jenni Olson told Ars this unfairly places the burden on targets to report their own abuse. However, she acknowledged that explicit policies against deadnaming and misgendering are preferable to vague ones that leave violators unsure if they’re breaking rules. After Years of Denials, Hunter Biden Finally Acknowledged Joe Was ‘The Big Guy’ in $5M China Deal; Biden Only Remembers One Thing About Meetings He ‘Can’t Recall’

By New York Post. At long last, first son Hunter Biden affirmed during his Wednesday impeachment inquiry deposition that his father, Joe, was “the big guy” referenced in an email about a business deal with a Chinese state-linked energy firm that yielded millions for Biden family members and other associates, more than three years after The Post broke the story — but rejected the notion that the president was ever penciled in for a 10% stake.

The deposition represents the first time the 54-year-old Hunter has admitted that his former business partner James Gilliar was referring to Joe Biden when he raised the prospect on May 13, 2017, of the first son holding a 10% stake in the lucrative joint venture involving CEFC China Energy “for the big guy.”

“I truly don’t know what the hell that James was talking about,” the first son said when asked about the reference, according to a transcript released Thursday.

“All I know is … what actually happened.”

The email, found on Hunter Biden’s abandoned laptop, was first reported by The Post in October 2020 as part of a bombshell series of reports on the first son’s influence-peddling schemes. Hunter Biden Only Remembers One Thing About Meetings He ‘Can’t Recall,’ And It’s That His Dad Wasn’t Involved

By Daily Caller. President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, noted that he could not recall information about his business dealings at least 29 times during a closed-door deposition with House Republicans Wednesday. What he could remember, as he explained to members of Congress, was that his dad was not involved in any of his foreign business ventures.

Hunter Biden appeared for a closed-door deposition with the House Oversight Committee as part of House Republicans’ impeachment inquiry into his father. The first son agreed to testify in front of Congress after previously defying a subpoena in January. Hunter Biden repeatedly appeared to contradict himself throughout the testimony and seemed to have a faulty memory.

Despite having the president’s son behind closed-doors, the transcript failed to produce any significant, new lines of inquiry for Republicans desperate to find a smoking gun in the palm of the president.

“I am here today to provide the committees with the one uncontestable fact that should end the false premise of this inquiry: I did not involve my father in my business, not while I was a practicing lawyer, not in my investments or transactions, domestic or international, not as a board member, and not as an artist, never,” Biden said in his opening statement before going on to note that he “did not recall” information about certain business meetings. . .

Other lapses and contradictions in Hunter Biden’s deposition centered around foreign business affairs, the transcript shows. Hunter Biden claimed that he never “fully read” an email sent to him from James Gilliar, who detailed the equity structure of the Oneida Holdings joint venture with CEFC, a Chinese Energy company, the testimony shows. In the email, according to the committee, Gillar appeared to suggest that Hunter hold 10% equity for “the big guy.” (Read more from “Hunter Biden Only Remembers One Thing About Meetings He ‘Can’t Recall,’ And It’s That His Dad Wasn’t Involved” HERE)

Trump Says He Spoke to Laken Riley’s Parents, Bashes Biden for Not ‘Saying Her Name’

Former President Donald Trump said he spoke with the parents of murdered nursing student Laken Riley Thursday while visiting Eagle Pass, Texas.

Trump visited the illegal immigration hotspot Thursday while President Joe Biden was in Brownsville, Texas, to give remarks on the border situation. During his remarks, Trump ripped Biden for not mentioning Riley, whose alleged killer, Jose Antonio Ibarra, an immigrant from Venezuela who crossed the U.S.-Mexico border illegally, was arrested by University of Georgia police Saturday and charged with murdering the 22-year-old nursing student.

“Just one week ago, a beautiful 22-year-old nursing student from Georgia was barbarically attacked, almost unrecognizable while she was out on her morning run. She was on a morning run,” Trump said. “She was a beautiful young woman, she was a great person, best nursing student there was. I spoke to her parents yesterday, they’re incredible people that are devastated beyond belief. She was beautiful in so many ways and brutally assaulted, horrifically beaten, kidnapped and savagely murdered.”

“The monster charged in her death is an illegal alien migrant who was let into our country and released into our communities by crooked Joe Biden,” Trump continued. “He is crooked, I took the name away from Hillary because she’s no longer relevant. I guess she was terrible, but what he’s doing is just unbelievable… Joe Biden will never say Laken Riley’s name, but we will say it and we will remember we’re not going to forget her.” (Read more from “Trump Says He Spoke to Laken Riley’s Parents, Bashes Biden for Not ‘Saying Her Name'” HERE)

Air Force Academy Highlights Transgender Officer at Leadership Summit

The United States Air Force Academy showcased a transgender-identifying activist and military service member who seeks to embed far-left gender ideology in the armed forces for a speech on leadership and inclusion.

Lieutenant Colonel Bree Fram, an engineer with the United States Space Force and activist for transgenderism in the military, spoke at the National Character and Leadership Symposium, the theme of which was “Embrace Culture, Empower People.” The military official states that he is a co-leader of the Department of the Air Force LGBTQ+ Initiatives Team, which he says is “dedicated to eliminating barriers to LGBTQ+ military service in the Air and Space Force.”

Fram was introduced at the Air Force Academy event as “one of the highest-ranking out transgender officers in the United States military” and a “featured speaker on leadership, diversity, and inclusion.” He is also an activist on behalf of transgenderism, previously serving as the president of SPARTA, “a non-profit that advocates and educates about transgender military service.”

“Inclusion takes action, inclusion requires asking, inclusion requires understanding, and it is more work, it is a lot more work for a leader but I need you to be willing to do it,” Fram said to the crowd while wearing a patch on his uniform bearing a rainbow flag. “In the future, we are going to fight and win war with brain power, and if those brains happen to be in a trans body … you should want them serving alongside you. Because they might be the ones that revolutionize the way we fight in space, in cyber or in any other domain of war.” (Read more from “Air Force Academy Highlights Transgender Officer at Leadership Summit” HERE)

Armed and Dangerous: Alec Baldwin Used Gun as ‘A Pointing Stick’ in ‘Rust’ Set Footage Shown at Hannah Gutierrez-Reed Trial, Veteran Armorer Says

Alec Baldwin used a gun as “a pointing stick” while on the set of “Rust” and rushed the film’s armorer to reload his weapon for a second take, according to behind-the-scenes production footage.

The clips taken during the filming of the country western — before the tragic Oct. 21, 2021, on-set fatal shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins — were played for the first time during the involuntary manslaughter trial against armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed on Thursday.

Baldwin rapidly fires blanks from a pistol after busting through a wooden shed before the director yells “Cut” in one scene shown to jurors. Immediately the actor wanted to do a second take.

“One more, one more, one more!” he shouts. “Right away, right away! Let’s reload. Here we go, c’mon!”

Gutierrez-Reed, 26, can then be seen hurriedly reloading the weapon with blanks from a fanny pack as Baldwin complains that they should have had a second loaded and ready to go. Judge Holds Ex-Fox Reporter in Contempt for Not Divulging Sources

U.S. District Judge Christopher Cooper has held renowned investigative journalist Catherine Herridge in civil contempt Thursday, Associated Press (AP) reported.

The decision comes after Herridge’s refusal to reveal her confidential source behind a Fox News investigative series, according to AP. The stories in question shed light on Yanpin Chen, a Chinese American scientist who was investigated by the FBI but never charged. Cooper sanctioned Herridge to a daily fine of $800 to enforce compliance.

However, this penalty is on hold to allow Herridge time to appeal. Cooper acknowledged the vital role of a free press and the necessity of confidential sources in journalism, the outlet stated. Yet, he emphasized the court’s duty to uphold legal standards and maintain its authority.

“Herridge and many of her colleagues in the journalism community may disagree with that decision and prefer that a different balance be struck, but she is not permitted to flout a federal court’s order with impunity,” wrote Cooper, AP reported.
