Trans-Identifying Firefighter Suing City Over Facial Feminization Surgery Coverage

He filed his lawsuit anonymously as Jane Doe in federal court on January 31.

The veteran firefighter, who holds the supervisory position of fire battalion chief, claims the facial feminization surgery he wants is “medically necessary and not cosmetic” because of his gender dysphoria “disability.”

The lawsuit argues that denying him coverage of the procedure, which includes a laundry list of procedures including a rhinoplasty, a forehead reduction, and a hair transplant, is causing the firefighter harm and amounts to “illegal sex stereotyping.”

“Ms. Doe was forced to maintain natal sex characteristics with which she no longer identified by virtue of the Defendants’ callous and discriminatory acts committed against her,” the complaint states, adding that, “Ms. Doe has spent years of her life presenting herself in a manner that is not her authentic self.”

The suit also claims the firefighter, who began identifying as transgender at some point during his firefighting career, now “cannot function in society or work” without the facial feminization procedures and is “constantly misgendered.” . . .

Throwdown: Speaker Johnson Brushes off Mitch McConnell Ukraine Funding Push

Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) stuck a dagger in the Senate’s hard-won $95 billion foreign aid package Tuesday afternoon, almost assuredly killing the bill’s chances of becoming law.

In a Capitol Hill hallway, Johnson said the House will focus on the upcoming appropriations deadlines, ignoring the bill the Senate passed before sunrise Tuesday after an all-night session.

“I certainly don’t right now,” Johnson told Punchbowl News when asked if he sees a scenario in which he would put the bill on the floor for a vote. “We’re dealing with the appropriations process. We have immediate deadlines upon us in that. That’s where the attention of the House is in this moment.”

Johnson indicated Monday night before the vote that the Senate was wasting its time working to pass a foreign aid package without first taking meaningful steps to secure the border, stating “America deserves better than the Senate’s status quo.”

McConnell took a victory lap after Tuesday morning’s vote, issuing a statement saying in part, “History settles every account. Report: Female Church Shooter Formerly Identified as ‘Jeffery’; Free Palestine Written on Gun

By Breitbart. The female shooter who attacked Joel Osteen’s Lakewood Church has been identified as 36-year-old Genesse Moreno, who KHOU 11 noted “previously identified as Jeffery Escalante.”

KHOU 11 indicated that they discovered the references to Jeffery Escalante during a Texas Department of Public Safety Records search on Moreno.

The station also found her prior arrest records, including “arrests…[for] failure to stop and give information, assault of a public servant, assault causing bodily injury, forgery, possession of marijuana, theft, evading arrest unlawful carrying weapon.” . . .

Lakewood Church Shooter Identified as Genesse Ivonne Moreno; ‘Palestine’ Written on Gun

By Fox News. Police in Houston, Texas, have identified the shooter who opened fire at Joel Osteen’s Lakewood Church on Sunday as Genesse Ivonne Moreno, Fox News has confirmed.

Moreno, originally from El Salvador, who had a lengthy criminal record, also previously used the name Jeffrey Escalante Moreno, investigators said. The shooter was killed after off-duty police officers at the church responded to the incident. Police said two people were injured – a 57-year-old man and the child who accompanied the shooter. . .

The preliminary reporting also indicated that the message “Free Palestine” was written on the rifle; investigators said later it was just “Palestine.”

Moreno, 36, had a criminal history including convictions for assaulting a police officer in 2009 and forgery in 2010.

Members of the FBI, the Texas Rangers, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and the Conroe and Houston Police Departments were investigating a property Monday in Conroe, north of Houston, that was believed to be Moreno’s residence, KPRC reported. Child Critically Wounded In Church Shooting Is Son Of Shooter, ‘Anti-Semitic Writing’ Recovered: Police

The Houston Police Department confirmed Monday that the woman who opened fire at Lakewood Church in Houston had a documented “mental health history” and her son was the child injured in the shooting. Authorities also obtained “anti-Semitic writing” during their investigation into the shooting.

On Sunday afternoon, 36-year-old Genesse Ivonne Moreno* walked into Lakewood Church in Houston with a long gun and a young child and opened fire before being shot dead by law enforcement at the scene. During a press conference Monday afternoon, Houston PD Commander Chris Hassig said that Moreno “was put under an emergency detention order” in 2016 and “has a mental health history that is documented through us and through interviews with family members.”

The commander added that authorities recovered “anti-Semitic writing” and they believe there was “a familial dispute that has taken place between her ex-husband and her ex-husband’s family.”

Houston PD Chief Troy Finner said Moreno was the biological mother of a 7-year-old child who was shot during an exchange of gunfire between Moreno and two off-duty law enforcement officers. Finner added that the child is “fighting for his life” in critical condition, and a 57-year-old man who was also shot has since been released from the hospital. . .

Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH) raised the alarm on Monday that the $95 billion Senate bill to fund the Ukraine War contains an “impeachment time bomb” aimed at former President Donald Trump if he wins reelection in November, and called on his Republican colleagues to vote against it.

“Buried in the bill’s text is an impeachment time bomb for the next Trump presidency if he tries to stop funding the war in Ukraine. We must vote against this disastrous bill,” Vance posted on X. . .

Earlier Monday, Vance sent a memo to his Republican colleagues highlighting that the bill would fund Ukraine through September 30, 2025, which would be nearly a year into the possible second presidential term for Trump if he is reelected.

Vance wrote in his memo:

The bill includes $1.6 billion for foreign military financing in Ukraine, and $13.7 billion for the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative. These funds expire on September 30, 2025—nearly a year into the possible second term of President Trump.

Trump Explains NATO Stance After Negotiating Story Draws Controversy

On Monday, former President Donald Trump explained his stance on NATO after drawing controversy with a story about how he used hardball tactics to negotiate with other world leaders on supporting the alliance.

A statement posted to Truth Social talked about how Trump, who is seeking a second term in the White House, argued how member nations contribute more to NATO’s collective defense with a strong U.S. leader pushing them to meet the 2% minimum GDP defense investment guideline.

“When I told the 20 Countries that weren’t paying their fair share that they had to PAY UP, and said without doing that you will not have U.S. Military Protection, the money came rolling in,” Trump said after an opening line claiming that his critics acknowledge how “STRONG” he made NATO.

“After so many years of the United States picking up the tab, it was a beautiful sight to see. But now, without me there to say YOU MUST PAY, they are at it again. We are into helping Ukraine for more than 100 Billion Dollars more than NATO,” he continued, alluding to U.S. support for Ukraine in its war against Russia.

“We have nobody that they respect, and they insist on paying far less than we do. Wrong, NATO HAS TO EQUALIZE, AND NOW. THEY WILL DO THAT IF PROPERLY ASKED. IF NOT, AMERICA FIRST! MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN,” Trump said.

Judge Says Fani Willis’ Disqualification ‘Possible’ Given Recent Evidence

Judge Scott McAfee said Monday that it is “possible” Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis could be disqualified based on evidence of alleged corruption presented by Trump co-defendant Michael Roman.

Roman filed a motion last month claiming Willis benefited from appointing her romantic partner Nathan Wade as special prosecutor on the case against former President Donald Trump when he used funds earned from his “lucrative” contract to take her on vacations. McAfee said the evidence presented by Roman to date requires maintaining the hearing scheduled for Thursday to determine whether or not Willis should be disqualified from the case, though Willis urged him to dismiss Roman’s motion without a hearing.

“The state has admitted a relationship existed,” McAfee said. “[W]hat remains to be proven is the existence and extent of any financial benefit, again, if there even was one. So because I think it’s possible that the facts alleged by the defendant could result in disqualification, I think an evidentiary hearing must occur to establish the record on those core allegations.”

“I think the issues that point here are, whether a relationship existed, whether that relationship was romantic or non-romantic in nature, when it formed and whether it continues,” he continued. “That’s only relevant because it’s in combination with the question of the existence and extent of any personal benefit.”

Bank statements contained in a filing in Wade’s divorce case revealed he purchased airline tickets to Miami and San Francisco in Willis’ name. In a Friday filing, Roman’s attorney claimed Wade’s gifts to her totaled thousands of dollars.

Trump Likely Won the 2020 Election After All

In other words, had rampant mail-in voter fraud been prevented in the 2020 election, Donald Trump would have won the Electoral College and been re-elected to a second term.

In late 2023, the Heartland Institute and Rasmussen Reports conducted a simple survey to gauge the degree of voter fraud in the 2020 election. We asked 1,085 voters who participated in the 2020 election about their voting behaviors three years prior. To our surprise, the results showed that at least one in five mail-in voters admitted to committing ballot fraud in the 2020 election. Another lip reader told the Daily Mail that Kelce screamed, “Keep me in. You f–ker! I’m calm now!”

Democrats Spun Biden’s Classified Docs as ‘Six Items,’ but Special Counsel Report Reveals It Was 300-Plus

Thursday’s bombshell report by Special Counsel Robert Hur concluded that “President Biden willfully retained and disclosed classified materials after his vice presidency when he was a private citizen.” And though the material concerned “issues of national security and foreign policy implicating sensitive intelligence sources and methods,” and presented “serious risks to national security,” Hur recommended against charging Biden in his 380-plus-page report, saying it would be “difficult to convince a jury” to convict such “a sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory.”

Hur’s damning assessment of Biden’s degenerative mental state launched a media frenzy concerning his fitness for office, prompting the president to angrily condemn the report for including what he called “extraneous” matters in a hastily arranged press conference Thursday evening.

Coming on the heels of Biden claiming he had recently conversed with two long-dead foreign leaders, Hur’s conclusion that the president suffered from a “significantly limited” memory as early as 2017 should lead the country — and the Cabinet — to consider Biden’s fitness for president. But the focus on the passages related to Biden’s mental infirmities has distracted from another huge takeaway from the report: the vast amount of top-secret and classified material Biden had removed, stored in unsecured locations, and communicated to the ghostwriter of his memoirs.

Following the FBI’s surprise raid on Mar-a-Lago, headlines blared that former President Trump had retained “more than 300 classified documents” after leaving the White House. In contrast, when news broke that Biden’s attorneys had alerted the National Archives to the discovery of classified documents in a closet at a Washington, D.C., think tank, the accomplice media repeated claims by Biden’s attorney that “’a small number of documents with classified markings’ were discovered as Biden’s personal attorneys were clearing out the offices of the Penn Biden Center.”

A Biden lawyer would later report finding a few additional classified documents at the President’s Delaware home, prompting the FBI to conduct a 12-plus-hour search of the residence. After the search, Biden’s attorney issued a statement acknowledging the “DOJ took possession of materials it deemed within the scope of its inquiry, including six items consisting of documents with classification markings and surrounding materials.” The DOJ also seized “for further view personally handwritten notes from the vice-presidential years,” Biden’s personal attorney announced at the time.
