Obama Calls on Americans to ‘Reject the Idea that Violence Has Any Place in Our Democracy’

Former President Barack Obama responded to the thwarted assassination attempt on President Donald Trump, as well as his cabinet members, by calling on Americans to “reject the idea that violence has any place in our democracy.”

The former president released his call for peace on Sunday in a statement on X.

“Although we don’t yet have the details about the motives behind last night’s shooting at the White House Correspondents Dinner, it’s incumbent upon all us to reject the idea that violence has any place in our democracy,” Obama said.

“It’s also a sobering reminder of the courage and sacrifice that U.S. Secret Service Agents show every day. I’m grateful to them – and thankful that the agent who was shot is going to be okay,” he added.

A man, now identified as 31-year-old Cole Tomas Allen, allegedly intended to target the president and several of his cabinet members during the White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner on Saturday night. A resident of the Los Angeles suburb of Torrance, Allen allegedly traveled across the country by train and came to the Washington Hilton armed with a shotgun, a handgun, and multiple knives. Report: Alleged White House Correspondents’ Dinner Attacker Hid Guns at Parents’ Home Without Their Knowledge

A report from NBC News says the alleged White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner attacker kept his guns hidden in his parents’ home without their knowledge.

Breitbart News reported that the alleged attacker, Cole Tomas Allen, bought his guns legally. The Los Angeles Times noted that Allen made the purchases in California.

According to NBC News, “Allen’s sister confirmed he purchased two handguns and a shotgun from CAP Tactical Firearms and kept them stored at their parents’ home.”

She also indicated their parents did not know that Allen kept his guns in their home.

He allegedly went to a shooting range “regularly” to hone his shooting skills and law enforcement recovered a shotgun and handgun when apprehending Allen after the White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner attack. MAGA Civil War Continues as Laura Loomer goes on Deranged Rant Against Candace Owens

. . .This week, the already strained MAGA fanbase has grown a deeper divide.

On April 20th, President Trump’s staunchest ally Laura Loomer took to X to verbally attack political commentator Candace Owens, who in recent months, has spoken out against the president more and more.

“God hates you @RealCandaceO,” Loomer wrote at around 9:00pm. “It’s why he gave Charlie to Erika and why you didn’t even get to say goodbye to him,” she said, referring to Owens’ longstanding friendship with the late conservative activist.

“God hates you. Look in the mirror and internalize how much God hates you,” Loomer continued. “We all hate you. Humanity hates you. And you are irredeemable.” . . .

But Owens was soon ready with a comeback of her own.

The next day, Owens posted a photo of a letter from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, denying Loomer’s request to purchase a firearm… again. (Read more from “MAGA Civil War Continues as Laura Loomer goes on Deranged Rant Against Candace Owens” HERE)

Would-be UFO Whistleblower Died of Accidental Drug Overdose after Agreeing to Testify to Congress

An Air Force veteran who agreed to testify before Congress about secret government UFO programs died just months before the hearings of an accidental drug overdose, The Post has learned.

Matthew James Sullivan, 39, died at his home in Falls Church, Va., on May 12, 2024 from a lethal mix of alcohol, alprazolam, cyclobenzaprine and imipramine, according to the Northern District Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

Alprazolam is generic Xanax, an anti-anxiety medication; cyclobenzaprine is a powerful prescription muscle relaxant that works on the central nervous system; imipramine is a drug for children used to treat anxiety and bedwetting.

The mysterious death is of “grave concern” to Rep. Eric Burlison (R-Mo.), who referred the matter for investigation to the FBI due to “implications for national security,” according to a letter obtained by The Post.

“Mr. Sullivan’s death was a local Virginia medical examiner case, and the manner and circumstances of his of death raise substantial questions, as he was preparing to provide testimony to Congress,” the April 16 letter addressed to FBI Director Kash Patel read. Illegal Migrant ‘Cannibal’ Attacks 3-Year-Old — and the Biden Admin Fumbled ‘Completely Preventable’ Assault: DHS

An illegal migrant maniac allegedly high on a powerful drug chomped on a toddler’s face in Texas last week, two years after the Biden administration failed to kick him out of the country despite his arrest in an earlier violent assault, authorities told The Post.

The horrific April 18 attack in a San Antonio park left 3-year-old Amelia Perez with deep scratches and bite wounds across her face, two teeth knocked out, and life-changing trauma, her family said.

“That brute was ravaging my baby!” mom Gabriella Perez, 27, told The Post. “She’s terrified to sleep. She’s lashing out, angry. She doesn’t understand evil like this f–king man. She’ll never be the same again.”

That Saturday, the family — Perez, little Amelia, her father Xavier Estrada, 27, and grandfather Richard Ariaza — headed from their home in LaCoste to Espada Park for a quiet afternoon of fishing for the bass, catfish and sunfish.

At around 2 p.m., Gabriella took Amelia to the restroom, and when they stepped back outside, a man in a frenzied state charged toward them, said Perez. (Read more from “Illegal Migrant ‘Cannibal’ Attacks 3-Year-Old — and the Biden Admin Fumbled ‘Completely Preventable’ Assault: DHS” HERE)

Some Democrats Are Gearing Up To Impeach Trump A Third Time If They Retake The House

A group of House Democrats is already laying the groundwork for a third impeachment of President Donald Trump, with some members urging their party to prepare a case well before a potential majority flip in January 2027.

Democratic Illinois Rep. Delia Ramirez told Axios that Democrats need to start building their strategy immediately. “This is something that I keep saying to our leadership … we need to have a very concrete, coordinated strategy,” Ramirez said. She called on colleagues to conduct “shadow hearings” and finish the investigative work required to act on Day 1. Arizona Rep. Yassamin Ansari told the outlet that if Democrats recapture the chamber, “the push for impeachment is going to be overwhelming.”

The effort has gained significant traction over the past year. When Democratic Texas Rep. Al Green forced a vote last June, 128 Democrats joined Republicans in killing the measure while just 78 backed it, Axios reported. By December, Green’s second attempt drew support from 140 Democrats, and the House voted 237-140 to table the resolution, with Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries and his deputies shifting to vote “present,” the Associated Press reported.

The impeachment drumbeat has been building for months. Democratic California Rep. Ro Khanna vowed on MSNBC that Democrats “will impeach” Trump once they retake the House. Democratic New Jersey Rep. Bonnie Watson Coleman made a similar pledge at a January town hall, as the Daily Caller reported.

Not every Democrat is on board. Democratic Illinois Rep. Brad Schneider, who chairs the center-left New Democrat coalition, told Axios that without a two-thirds Senate majority, “the president will not be removed from office.” A Jeffries ally told CNN in January that another impeachment would be “a waste of time,” while a separate Democrat close to leadership warned the strategy could hurt the party’s 2028 chances. Trump Pulls Plug On US Delegation’s Trip To Iran Talks

President Donald Trump canceled a planned trip by two of his envoys to Pakistan meant to facilitate peace talks with Iran nearly two months after the war began.

Trump administration Special Envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff and Special Envoy for Peace Missions Jared Kushner were scheduled to travel Saturday morning to the Pakistani capital of Islamabad and participate in direct talks with an Iranian delegation. Trump, however, announced in a Saturday afternoon Truth Social post that he canceled the trip, stating it would be “[t]oo much time wasted on traveling, too much work!”

“Besides which, there is tremendous infighting and confusion within their [the Iranians’] ‘leadership,’” the president added. “Nobody knows who is in charge, including them. Also, we have all the cards, they have none! If they want to talk, all they have to do is call!!!”

The White House referred the Daily Caller News Foundation to Trump’s Truth Social post when asked for comment.

About a half hour before Trump sent the post, Axios Global Affairs Correspondent Barak Ravid reported on X that Trump told him over the phone he had canceled Witkoff and Kushner’s trip “due to the Iranian position in the negotiations.” (Read more from “Trump Pulls Plug On US Delegation’s Trip To Iran Talks” HERE)

Steve Witkoff, Jared Kushner Heading to Islamabad for Iran Talks

Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and adviser Jared Kushner will head to Islamabad, Pakistan, on Saturday for another round of negotiations with Iran, and Vice President JD Vance “is on standby” and could potentially join them there.

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt announced the plans on Friday afternoon, first on Fox News Channel’s America Reports and then to reporters moments later.

“As you know, and I spoke about it earlier this week, the president was flexible in granting an extension of this ceasefire. Throughout this time, the President has decided to dispatch Special Envoy Witkoff and Jared Kushner back to Islamabad. The Iranians want to talk,” Leavitt told reporters.

“They want to talk in person. So the President is, as I’ve said many, many times to all of you, always willing to give diplomacy a chance,” she added.

Leavitt, who said on America Reports that Witkoff and Kushner are scheduled to depart Saturday morning, told reporters that President Donald Trump, Vance, and Secretary of State Marco Rubio will await updates in Washington, DC.

Four Women Accuse Lesbian Running For Congress In Utah Of Unwanted Sexual Advances

Four women have now come forward to allege a Utah Democrat running for Congress made unwanted advances of a sexual nature.

Democrat Eva López Chávez is a Salt Lake city Councilwoman running in her party’s primary to represent the 1st congressional district in Utah. The accusations, including that she “restrained” the women while making unwanted sexual advances, allege the incidents occurred before López Chávez joined the city council in 2023. Three of the women who came forward currently hold elective office, including one who serves on the city council with Chavez, the Salt Lake Tribune reported.

“If a man had done that to me, would there be a question if it was assault or not?” Democratic Salt Lake City Councilwoman Victoria Petro said to the Tribune. Petro said that López Chávez, an out lesbian who describes herself as a “queer Latina,” pushed her against a wall during a September 2022 party and told her, “The only reason I still f**k men is because a woman hasn’t shown me what I really want.”

Democratic Utah state Sen. Jen Plumb said she initially dismissed a November 2022 incident when López Chávez pushed her against a wall and asked if she was “sure” she wasn’t attracted to women. . .

Democratic Utah state Rep. Hoang Nguyen, who also runs a medical cannabis company and works in a investment group, recounted a 2022 incident in which she and López Chávez were departing from a campaign event for Plumb. López Chávez asked Nguyen for a ride to her car before asking Nguyen to pull over, the state lawmaker told the Tribune. Healthcare Giant Prepares For Hearing After Allegedly Mishandling and Desecrating Corpses of Deceased Patients

Harrowing reports of bodies allegedly being left to rot while the families were not notified about their loved ones passing away for months have come to light as the hospital’s parent company prepares for a hearing Tuesday.

CommonSpirit Health, a nonprofit Catholic health system, is slated to give testimony before the House Committee on Ways and Means, a source familiar confirmed to the Daily Caller.

Although the list of witnesses has not yet been shared publicly, the April 28 hearing will discuss “the impact of rising health care costs on patients and families by examining the role of health systems within the current state of health care affordability,” according to an advisory from the committee.

CommonSpirit Health is the parent company of Dignity Health, which owns and operates Mercy San Juan Medical Center in Carmichael, California, and Mercy General Hospital in Sacramento, according to a report from local outlet Broke Ass Stuart. The outlet shared documents and detailed the accusations of loved ones waiting — in one alleged instance for over a year — only to learn that their family member had died and their corpse had decomposed.

Mercy San Juan Medical Center was the subject of two state disciplinary actions between 2022 and 2023 and the topic of a federal statement of deficiencies in 2024, in which many of these cases were documented.
