Top Hunter Biden Prosecutor to Testify Before Congress in Early November, Source Confirms

Special counsel David Weiss, the U.S. attorney for the District of Delaware and lead prosecutor in the Hunter Biden investigation, will testify before the House Judiciary Committee in early November, a source familiar confirmed to the Daily Caller on Thursday.

Weiss will appear for a transcribed interview with the Judiciary Committee behind closed doors on Nov. 7, Punchbowl News first reported. The Department of Justice (DOJ) told the committee in September Weiss would be given permission to testify about the details of the Hunter Biden case.

Attorney General Merrick Garland appointed Weiss special counsel in August and largely deferred to Weiss when he appeared before the Judiciary Committee in September.

IRS whistleblowers Gary Shapley and Joseph Ziegler have accused the DOJ of giving Hunter Biden special treatment when Weiss oversaw the investigation as Delaware U.S. Attorney. Weiss wrote a letter to Republican South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham in July denying Shapley’s accusations that his charging authority was limited. Former Israeli PM Scolds CNN for Echoing Hamas on Hospital Attack: ‘Do Your Job, Not Everything Has Two Sides’

Israel’s former prime minister Natftali Bennett scolded the media for appearing to take sides in their reports on the Gaza hospital strike, while appearing on CNN on Wednesday.

“There are no two sides to this hospital [attack]. Either it was bombed by Israel, or it was targeted by someone else on the Palestinian side,” Bennett said to host Anderson Cooper.

“If two people come and say — one says it’s raining outside and the other says it’s dry, you don’t bring the quotes of both sides. You just G–d—n open the window and look whether it’s raining or not. That’s what we did and this hospital, in fact, it’s a parking lot, was hit definitely, 100% by Islamic Jihad barrage,” he bluntly remarked.

The Israeli politician said three different videos, from various angles, and ballistics confirmed that Israel was not responsible. He also said they had intercepted radio messages from two Hamas terrorists saying Islamic Jihad was responsible for the attack. . .

“So, Anderson, with all due respect there aren’t two sides to this. Not everything is two sides, and I have a feeling that if it wasn’t the state of Israel then I think the global media would have behaved very differently,” he stated. U.S. Navy Destroyer Shoots Down Cruise Missiles Potentially Headed Toward Israel: Pentagon

The USS Carney, a U.S. Navy guided-missile destroyer in the northern Red Sea, on Thursday shot down multiple missiles and drones launched by Iranian-backed Houthis in Yemen that the Pentagon said were potentially headed toward targets in Israel.

It is the first time in recent memory that a U.S. Navy ship in the Middle East has engaged missiles and drones that were not directly aimed at the vessel.

It’s also the first U.S. military action taken to defend Israel in the current crisis and with the U.S. and other countries trying to contain the conflict between Israel and Hamas, the possibility that an Iranian-backed proxy group fired missiles and drones at Israel is sure to increase growing regional tensions.

The ship was in the northern Red Sea on Thursday evening local time when it intercepted three land attack cruise missiles and several drones, Pentagon spokesman Brig. Gen. Pat Ryder said at a press briefing. U.S. officials told ABC News that the Carney had brought down eight drones launched by the Houthis.

Travis King Charged by the Army With Desertion for Defecting to North Korea — And Child Porn

The US Army has charged defector Travis King with several offenses including desertion for sprinting into North Korea in July — as well as the solicitation of child pornography and other crimes dating back to at least last year.

The wide-ranging case against King, who spent over two months in the custody of North Korean law enforcement, includes eight distinct charges under the Uniform Code of Military Justice, according to court records obtained by Reuters.

The Army claims the private had the intention of abandoning his military duties permanently when he ditched his South Korean post by running across the demilitarized border into the totalitarian country. . .

The Army’s charge sheet accuses King of broad misconduct before his defection into North Korea, including an alleged attempted escape from US military custody in October 2022.

King was also allegedly caught possessing child pornography and asked another individual over Snapchat to “knowingly and willingly produce child pornography” the same month he fled to North Korea, according to the charges. Citi Fires Banker Over ‘Revolting’ Israel Remark

Citibank has fired one of its staffers after she posted “revolting” commentary on Instagram that endorsed the mass murder of Jewish people during the Holocaust.

“No wonder why Hitler wanted to get rid of all of them,” Nozima Husainova wrote with a smiley face emoji in an Instagram story, which has since been deleted along with the 25-year-old’s Instagram and other social media accounts.

The post was a screenshot shared to X, formerly Twitter, by non-profit watchdog StopAntisemitism late Wednesday, which also posted a photo of her Instagram profile that boasted over 4,500 followers.

Husainova had written the explosive comment in response to a post about the Gaza hospital bombing that was initially blamed on Israel, but was later revealed to be caused by the Islamic Jihad terror group after its operatives misfired a rocket.

Iranian-Backed Terrorists Launch Attacks Against U.S. Forces in Iraq, Syria

U.S. forces have come under fire multiple times throughout the Middle East over the last several days from Iranian-backed terror proxy groups.

The attacks come after the USS Carney, a destroyer, was sailing in the northern Red Sea on Thursday when it detected and shot down three cruise missiles and multiple drones that were launched by Houthis, an Iranian-backed terrorist group, in Yemen. Officials said that the guided-missile destroyer was swarmed by approximately two dozen drones and they did not disclose what munitions were used to shoot down the missiles or drones.

An American contractor died on Wednesday after suffering a heart attack while running to a shelter during a drone attack at Al Asad Air Base in western Iraq.

The New York Times noted that while military investigators were still trying to ascertain who launched the drone attacks, Iran has launched these types of attacks on U.S. forces.

Biden Warns Allies Against ‘Islamophobia’ and ‘Antisemitism’

President Joe Biden used his Oval Office speech to warn the nation — and his Muslim and Jewish supporters — against mutual hatred as Israel prepares to smash a Muslim terror group.

“We must without equivocation, denounce antisemitism: We must also without equivocation denounce Islamophobia,” he said in his address to the nation, adding:

And to all you hurting, those of you hurting, I want you to know I see you. You belong. And I want to say this to you — you’re all American, you’re all American.

Biden is preparing to run for reelection and needs to minimize disagreements within his increasingly diverse coalition.

“In moments like these, when fear and suspicion, anger and rage run hard, we have to work harder than ever to hold on to the values that make us who we are,” he said as he called for sectarian unity amid his policy of accelerating diversity via immigration[.]

Biden Hoaxes the World! Uses Dead Jews to Pitch More Ukraine Funding

. . .The dominant news cycle right now – radical Islamic terror directed at Israel – is a terrible one for Joe. As I noted in an article earlier this week, Joe Biden has harmed Israel in numerous ways over his presidency and vice presidency while simultaneously enabling terrorists and their funders. He is also clearly perceived as a weak target by our adversaries around the world; so, the longer the media is focused on Israel, Jews, Hamas rockets, decapitated babies, and American hostages, the worse Joe is going to look. His political instincts told him to try to switch gears.

He did that in his speech tonight. It was not only clumsy, it was offensive.

Actually, it was an attempted hoodwinking. The world thought the speech would be about Israel. And he did talk about Israel. But the speech was really about Ukraine.

He tried to connected Israel and Ukraine in order to suggest to Americans that if you support Israel’s war for its own survival, you must also support limitless taxpayer resources being sent to Ukraine – after those funds make a pit stop in the bank accounts of U.S. defense contractors, of course. . .

Court Employee Arrested After Trying to Approach Trump at NYC Civil Fraud Trial

A New York state court employee was arrested Wednesday after she tried to approach former President Donald Trump — claiming she wanted to help him — during his ongoing civil fraud trial in lower Manhattan, officials said.

The woman, who cops identified as Jenny Hannigan, was charged with contempt of court for disrupting the proceedings in Manhattan Supreme Court just before noon “by standing up and walking towards the front of the courtroom yelling out to Mr. Trump,” Office of Court Administration spokesman Lucian Chalfen said.

A Post reporter inside the courtroom at the time did not hear Hannigan yell, but she was caught talking loudly in the hallway after being escorted out.

Hannigan, 37 — of Baldwin, NY — is a secretary for a judge in Queens, according to a courthouse source. No one answered a phone number at an address listed for her there.

Hannigan, wearing a black dress and matching blazer, was stopped by court officers before she could get near Trump, 77, and his attorneys — who were seated at the defense table, Chalfen said in a statement. Some Parents Fight to Remove Dave Ramsey’s Finance Book From Classrooms Over Bible References, Other Objections

Some Florida parents and teachers are fighting to get a finance book written by radio host and money expert Dave Ramsey removed from classrooms, raising concerns about its references to the Bible and other objections, NPR reported.

Pasco County School District received nearly 60 letters from community members demanding the removal of Ramsey’s “Foundations in Personal Finance.”

This year, the Florida Department of Education approved the book as part of a new financial literacy requirement for incoming high school freshmen.

The movement to remove the title from classrooms is being led by Florida Freedom to Read Project, an organization working to prevent conservatives’ “book banning effort” and “censorship attempts.”
