Hunter Biden Indicted on the Few Charges That Don’t Implicate Joe Biden

Hunter Biden, the wayward son of President Joe Biden, has been indicted on three federal gun charges — and of all the allegations he faces, these are the only ones that would not implicate his father in wrongdoing.

Special Counsel David Weiss filed three felony gun charges against Hunter Biden on Thursday, which could lead to up to 25 years in prison. These are the first charges after a “sweetheart” plea bargain fell apart in July when it was questioned by a judge.

But that deal also included misdemeanor charges of willful failure to file federal taxes. The taxes had to do with the income Hunter Biden appears to have earned thanks to business connections he made with the help of his father, when Joe Biden was vice president. Critics of the deal said that Hunter Biden also should have been charged with violating the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) — which might also have implicated Joe Biden in his actions.

Joe Biden’s role in Hunter Biden’s business dealings was significant enough that Hunter Biden’s lawyer at the time, Chris Clark, reportedly threatened to call the president to the witness stand for the defense if his son was charged. Very Fake News: White House, Democrats, Media Claims of ‘No Evidence’ to Support Biden Impeachment Inquiry Contradicted by Mountains of Evidence

By Breitbart. The White House, Democrats, and their allied media outlets have been pushing outright disinformation by claiming there is “no evidence” to support an impeachment inquiry into Democrat President Joe Biden, contradicting mounds of evidence uncovered by House Republicans and already in the public sphere.

The left’s message since the launch of the impeachment inquiry into Biden seems clear and coordinated: several media outlets, Democrats, and the White House itself have all used phrases such as “without evidence,” “no evidence,” or “no direct evidence” to describe the House GOP effort that Speaker Kevin McCarthy announced earlier this week. But their claims are, quite simply, disinformation and easily disproven as the House Republicans have actually amassed quite a bit of evidence this year before proceeding to the next stage of the ongoing investigation — a massive escalation — with an impeachment inquiry.

It is important to note an impeachment inquiry is not the consideration of articles of impeachment. That could — or might not — come later. But an impeachment inquiry is simply that: an inquiry. It is an expansion, acceleration, and coordination of several committees’ ongoing investigative work and may end up leading to an impeachment — or it might not. That remains unclear. While McCarthy launched it with a public comment and directive to the members of his conference and the committees that will lead it, McCarthy’s comments also do not preclude an eventual possible vote formally authorizing such an inquiry down the road. That’s exactly what House Democrats did under then-Speaker Nancy Pelosi in their first impeachment of then-President Donald Trump in 2019 — she made an announcement and then five weeks later the House formally voted on the authorization. That could very well happen here.

Nonetheless, given the expansion and acceleration of the ongoing investigations into the president and his conduct, and with the announcement of the now-commenced impeachment inquiry, House Republicans have already amassed lots of evidence against Biden. ‘Consistent With the 1023 Form’: Jim Jordan Lays Out Evidence Backing Biden Impeachment Inquiry

By Daily Caller. Republican Rep. Jim Jordan of Ohio said that President Joe Biden’s actions were consistent with those described in a form outlining bribery allegations against Biden.

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy said Tuesday that an impeachment inquiry would move forward, with Jordan joining Republican Reps. James Comey of Ohio and Jason Smith of Missouri in leading the probe into business dealings involving Hunter Biden. Republican Sen. Charles Grassley released the FD-1023 form containing allegations that the Bidens received millions of dollars in bribes obtained from a whistleblower July 20.

“There are four key facts that just capture this all,” Jordan told Fox News host Laura Ingraham. “The first is Hunter is put on the board of Burisma. Second, he wasn’t qualified to be on the board of Burisma. Third, the people on Burisma say, ‘hey we need help with D.C. to get rid of the pressure this prosecutor is putting on us.’ Fourth, Joe Biden goes to Ukraine and gets the prosecutor fired and he uses our tax dollars, he leverages our tax money, the people of the fourth district of Ohio that I represent, leverages their money to get that done.”

“And when he did it, it was an abrupt turn from the policy of the Obama administration. And, frankly, what he did is consistent with the 1023 form and what the confidential human source said took place,” Jordan continued. “So, if that doesn’t warrant opening an impeachment inquiry, I don’t know what does. And then you add to that the layer of how the Justice Department has handled this case for four and a half years, I think we have to investigate.” (Read more from “‘Consistent With the 1023 Form’: Jim Jordan Lays Out Evidence Backing Biden Impeachment Inquiry” HERE)

Lauren Boebert Called Pregnant Woman Who Asked Her to Stop Vaping a ‘Miserable Person’ Before Being Tossed From ‘Beetlejuice’: Report

Colorado Rep. Lauren Boebert called a pregnant woman “a sad and miserable person” after she asked the Republican lawmaker to stop vaping during the “Beetlejuice” performance she and her date were later kicked out of on Sunday, according to a report.

The firebrand’s foul remark came after she had told the mom-to-be “no” when the fellow Denver theatergoer asked her to put her vaping pen down, the Denver Post reported Thursday.

“These people in front of us were outrageous,” the woman, who requested anonymity, told the newspaper.

“I’ve never seen anyone act like that before.”

The behavior of Boebert, 36, and her date — Democratic Aspen bar owner Quinn Gallagher, 46 — eventually led to their dismissal from the Buell Theatre after fellow audience members complained the two were being loud. University Dean Says Flat-Out She’s Hiring People Purely Because of Their Race

A dean at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) said in a recent interview that she hired members specifically because they were black, according to Diverse Issues in Higher Education.

Dr. Robin L. Hughes, dean of the SIUE School of Education, Health, and Human Behavior, hired several black candidates in what is described as a cluster hire, which specifically aims to hire multiple staff members of color, according to Diverse Issues in Higher Education. The Supreme Court ruled in June to block race-based admissions in colleges and universities, which some worried may make cluster hires harder.

“I absolutely am,” Hughes said, in regard to whether she was hiring based on race or not, according to Diverse Issues in Higher Education.

Objections to hiring solely based on race are common, Dr. Bridget Kelly, an associate professor and student affairs & diversity officer at the University of Maryland’s College of Education, told Diverse Issues in Higher Education. Half of Americans Have Little or No Confidence in DOJ’s Handling of Hunter Biden Probe: Poll

Half of Americans are not confident that President Biden’s Justice Department is handling the Hunter Biden case in a fair and nonpartisan manner, according to a new poll.

A total of 28% of voters were “not very confident” and 22% were “not at all confident” that the DOJ probe into the first son’s alleged tax and gun crimes was being handled in a fair and unbiased manner, according to an Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research poll released on Thursday.

Only 19% said they were “extremely” or “very confident” with the government’s handling of the investigation.

The probe has been clouded with political intrigue for months. In May, IRS whistleblower Gary Shapley, an investigator who was involved in the Hunter Biden probe, provided testimony to the House Ways and Means Committee alleging a cover-up in the case.

Shapley claims the FBI tipped off people close to Hunter Biden and his father about investigatory steps being taken in the case and that the DOJ restricted which witnesses he could interview and what questions he could ask of them during the probe. Hunter Biden Said He Was ‘Office Mates’ With Joe Biden and a Chinese Business Associate, Emails Show

Hunter Biden told a property manager to give him keys for new “office mates” Joe Biden, Jill Biden, James Biden and a Chinese business associate, emails on his laptop archive indicate.

Hunter Biden emailed a Washington, D.C., property manager in September 2017 requesting the office keys and a new sign showing that the Biden Foundation and business venture Hudson West III’s were present at the office, according to a partially redacted email disclosed by the House Oversight Committee.

Hunter Biden asked the manager to keep the property lease under investment firm Rosemont Seneca’s name and sent Joe Biden’s personal cell phone number to the manager for confirmation. Joe Biden’s contact information and the office’s location are redacted for privacy purposes.

Rosemont Seneca had moved into the office space in February 2017, according to emails on Hunter Biden’s laptop archive sent by former business associate Joan Mayer, whose email signature noted the move for months afterwards.

Hunter Biden appears to have gotten into a dispute with the property manager in late September 2017 for an issue with unknown visitors coming into the office after hours. He threatened a lawsuit against the office space for alleged discrimination and forwarded the threat to his attorney, emails on Biden’s laptop archive show. Rep. James Comer Reveals Next Steps in Biden Impeachment Inquiry

Republican Rep. James Comer of Kentucky said that investigators from the House Oversight Committee would be seeking bank records involving Hunter Biden and Jim Biden as part of an impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden as well as any correspondence the president sent under an alias.

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy said Tuesday that an impeachment inquiry would move forward, with Comer joining Republican Reps. Jim Jordan of Ohio and Jason Smith of Missouri leading the probe into business dealings involving Hunter Biden. The House Oversight Committee released bank records Aug. 9 showing that Hunter Biden received millions of dollars from Russian oligarch Yelena Baturina, who was married to Moscow Mayor Yuri Luhzkov until his death in 2019.

“This is a very important tool in the toolbox. This will help us, when we go to court, to get some of these bank records,” Comer told Fox Business host Larry Kudlow. “This will help the judge, force the judge to have to rule quicker. It also trumps executive privilege if the Bidens try to say anything we were trying to get, they couldn’t have because of executive privilege and it also allows to us get things like grand jury testimony. There is a precedence when Jerry Nadler was leading the impeachment inquiry against Donald Trump. They were requesting information and they said they couldn’t hand it over because it was grand jury testimony and the judge ruled because of the impeachment inquiry, then Nadler could then have it.”

“This is a tool we needed to move forward. We’re going next after two things,” Comer continued. “First of all, the bank accounts of Hunter Biden and Jim Biden, because we believe as you have seen the arrows where we show from countries like China, Romania, Russia, Ukraine, there’s arrows through these shell companies, then they end up in nine different Biden personal bank accounts. We want to look at the personal bank accounts to see if there are any arrows beyond that to pay for things of value for Joe Biden. The other thing we want to use impeachment inquiry is to force these agencies to turn over correspondence. We’ve requested all the emails that were in the pseudonyms. We know there were 5,400 of those, one pertained to Ukrainian policy and Hunter Biden was copied on it, so, these are things we need and I believe with this new impeachment inquiry designation, we’ll able to get it much quicker.” (Read more from “Rep. Hunter Biden Indicted on Gun Charges

Federal prosecutors have indicted Hunter Biden on gun charges, according to court documents.

Special counsel David Weiss filed charges against President Joe Biden’s son after the two sides failed to reach an agreement on a plea deal that fell apart last month. The agreement fell apart after U.S. District Judge Maryellen Noreika questioned the limits of Hunter’s immunity under the deal.

The indictment charges the president’s son with three crimes related to false statements made on a federal application to purchase a firearm. The charges relate to a time when, in October 2018, Hunter claimed he was clean of drugs to purchase a handgun. He later wrote in his memoir that he was addicted to crack cocaine at the time.

Two of the counts carry max sentences of 10 years in prison, while the third carries a max sentence of 5 years, according to NBC News. The stiff sentences are a sharp contrast to the agreement worked out under the failed plea deal. The plea agreement would have freed Hunter from jail time and instead put him in a diversion program that, if completed successfully, would have wiped the gun charges from his record. Poll: Majority Agrees Harsh Jan. 6 Sentences a Cruel ‘Message’ From Biden to Critics

Democrats and other leftists have applauded the astonishingly harsh sentences being handed out by Washington judges to those protesters who invaded the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021.

Some have been given decades in prison. Some are spending time in jail even though they weren’t in Washington that day. Others have been put behind bars for walking into the Capitol – even though in some cases security officers held the doors open for them.

Now a poll shows that those leftists, and activists, are out of line with the American public.

A report at the Washington Examiner explains that large groups of voters view the extraordinary sentences as “too harsh.”

“And despite the Washington-based news coverage portraying the 2021 protest of President Joe Biden’s election as an insurrection, more of America’s voters than not believe it was a ‘mostly peaceful protest that got out of control,'” the report explained. Illegal Alien Arrested in Connection With Stabbing Released From Custody After Paperwork Went Unfiled — Then He Allegedly Committed a Murder

An illegal immigrant who was arrested in connection with a stabbing earlier this year was released from custody after paperwork went unfiled — then he allegedly committed a murder.

]In March, U.S. Border Patrol arrested Carlos Corrales-Ramirez, 20, of Honduras in Clinton County, New York, for not having documentation, WTEN-TV reported.

Authorities then discovered Corrales-Ramirez also was wanted in connection to a stabbing in Maryland, the station said. The stabbing occurred at a 7-Eleven in February, WRGB-TV reported.

Police in Laurel, Maryland, told WTEN that Corrales-Ramirez later was released from the custody of the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office because the state of Maryland failed to obtain a governor’s warrant to extradite him.

Fast-forward a few months later, and police in Troy, New York, are accusing Corrales-Ramirez of fatally stabbing 28-year-old Jairo Jesus Hernandez Sanchez on Sept. 2, WRGB reported, adding that Corrales-Ramirez was indicted for murder Tuesday.
