President Biden raised eyebrows on Tuesday when he skipped the NATO leadership summit’s opening dinner in Lithuania’s capital, with White House staff citing a — relatively — action-packed schedule for the 80-year-old commander-in-chief.

Asked why the president gave the meal a miss, a US official said that Biden “has four full days of official business and is preparing for a big speech tomorrow in addition to another day at the summit.”

Secretary of State Antony Blinken took Biden’s place at the dinner, which brings together heads of state and government from all 31 NATO member countries.

It was not immediately clear whether the American president was the only leader to miss the event, which was also attended by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

In Newly-Released Docs, Scientists Seemingly Admit COVID Origins Paper Was Meant to Cover for China, Play Politics

Scientists acknowledged the fallout that would occur if “anyone serious” called out the possibility that COVID-19 originated due to a Chinese leak rather than naturally, according to private messages included in a report released on Tuesday.

Scientists discussed the potential consequences of accusing China of leaking COVID-19 and agreed to attribute the virus to a natural source in a private Slack channel in February 2020, according to a report by the House of Representatives Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic. Evolutionary biologist Dr. Andrew Rambaut wrote that it would be a disaster to blame China for an escaped virus and stated that he would be comfortable saying it was a natural occurrence, and immunologist Dr. Kristian Andersen said that he concurred.

“Given the shit show that would happen if anyone serious accused the Chinese of even accidental release, my feeling is we should say that given there is no evidence of a specifically engineered virus, we cannot possibly distinguish between natural evolution and escape so we are content with ascribing it to natural processes,” Rambaut wrote.

The report also claims that former National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases Director Anthony Fauci initiated an effort to suppress the theory that the origins of COVID-19 could be traced to a laboratory in Wuhan, China. Fauci reportedly pushed researchers to write a paper to “disprove” the lab leak theory on multiple occasions.

“Our main work over the past couple of weeks has been focused on trying to disprove any type of lab theory, but we are at a crossroad where the scientific evidence isn’t conclusive enough to say that we have high confidence in any of the three main theories considered,” Andersen wrote in a February 2020 email, according to the report. Wife of U.S. Attorney Prosecuting ‘Missing’ Biden Witness Worked for Obama Foundation

The wife of the U.S. attorney who is prosecuting the whistleblower who accused President Joe Biden of corruption, worked as the director of education for the Obama Foundation until November 2020, according to her LinkedIn profile.

U.S. Attorney Damian Williams’ wife Jennifer Wynn worked for the Obama Foundation for over three years, and her husband is now prosecuting a whistleblower who alleges Biden and his family have corrupt ties to China’s military, according to a video exclusively obtained by the New York Post. Israeli professor Dr. Gal Luft is a crucial witness for Republicans in their Biden family corruption investigation, according to The Wall Street Journal.

Williams is the United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York and is prosecuting Luft for offenses related to “willfully failing to register under the Foreign Agents Registration Act (‘FARA’), arms trafficking, Iranian sanctions violations, and making false statements to federal agents,” according to the press release.

Wynn has also been an assistant professor at the NYU Stern School of Business since 2018. During an event with fellow professor Dolly Chugh, where Chugh discussed her book titled “The Person You Mean to Be: How Good People Fight Bias,” Wynn joked, “If I’m not woke, I’m waking, right? I’m getting there.”

It’s Nuts to Send Cluster Bombs to Ukraine; Biden’s Decision on Ukraine Cluster Munitions Sparks Some Democratic Blowback

By The Daily Beast. The United States has decided to send cluster munitions to Ukraine. President Biden told CNN’s Fareed Zakaria that it was a “very difficult decision” and one that he discussed “with our allies” and “with our friends up on the Hill.”

I wonder if the allies he says he discussed it with included the U.K., France, Germany, or Canada. These close U.S. allies are all on the list of 123 nations—making up a large majority of the nations of the world—that have signed the UN convention forbidding the use of cluster munitions. Most of the planet considers the use of such weapons, which can spread explosive material over an area “up to the size of several football fields,” to be a war crime in itself, regardless of the intended target.

It’s easy to conduct the debate about sending these weapons in glittering generalities—”Ukraine has a right to defend itself,” “we should give them whatever they need,” and so on. The grim reality is that Ukrainian children will be blowing themselves up with U.S.-made explosives for decades to come. . .

Some commentators are treating the fact that Russia used them as a “gotcha” response to anyone who doesn’t want the U.S. to send them to the Ukrainian side. But that makes no sense. Saddam Hussein used chemical weapons against Iraqi Kurds. Does that mean it would have been perfectly fine if the United States had used chemical weapons in its invasion of Iraq?

. . .When you read about “Russia” invading “Ukraine,” it’s easy to imagine that the only victims of cluster munitions supplied to Ukraine will be Russians. While I don’t think we should be cavalier about the deaths of Russian civilians—or for that matter Russian conscripts—it’s also important to remember that a great many of even the intended victims of these munitions will be Russian-allied separatists in eastern Ukraine. Biden’s Decision on Ukraine Cluster Munitions Sparks Some Democratic Blowback

By NBC News. Nearly two dozen congressional Democrats on Friday expressed frustration with the Biden administration over its decision to send cluster munitions to Ukraine in a U.S. military aid package.

The lawmakers echoed warnings from human rights groups that the surface-to-surface warheads, which disperse small munitions or bombs over wide areas, can explode after battle and sometimes injure or kill innocent people.

“Cluster munitions are illegal under international law,” Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., said in a statement announcing that she plans to introduce an amendment with Rep. Sara Jacobs, D-Calif., to the annual defense policy bill that would ban the sale of cluster munitions.

“We can support the people of Ukraine in their freedom struggle, while also opposing violations of international law,” Omar said, noting that the munitions are banned in more than 100 countries.

At the close of business Sunday, after only six days in theaters, Sound of Freedom has grossed $40.2 million. Also, over the weekend, it averaged $6,388 per screen, which topped Dial of Destiny’s per-screen average of $5,760.

Currently, the Disney Grooming Syndicate’s Dial of Destiny is playing in 4,600 theaters, compared to just 2,852 for Sound of Freedom.

Dial of Destiny might have come in second place with a weekend’s gross box office haul of $26.5 million, and Sound of Freedom might have come in third place with $18.2 million, but Sound of Freedom is doing a better job of packing them in.

Also, Unlike Disney’s Dial of Destiny, which is on track to lose tens if not hundreds of millions, Sound of Freedom is already profitable. Budgeted at just $14.5 million, Sound of Freedom started making millions the moment it crossed $25 to $30 million. And it’s just getting started. With an A+ Cinemascore and the corporate media’s desperate and insulting attacks, word of mouth is all set up to be phenomenal. Sound of Freedom should also clean up on home media. Oh, sure, the usual-usual Woke Nazis at CNN, the Washington Post, and the Guardian, etc., are pretending to be angry and indignant over Sound of Freedom’s problematic-ness, but the truth is the exact opposite. For all kinds of reasons, the ongoing success of this movie angers and terrifies them. . .

So what if Sound of Freedom stretches the “based on a true story” brand to the limit? So does every single movie that’s been “based on a true story” in the hundred-year history of Hollywood.

So what if Sound of Freedom validates some ideas that emanate from a fringe group like Q Anon? Pretty much every issue-based movie validates some fringe movement, be it the left-wing terrorist organizations Antifa and Black Lives Matter, the socialist Communists, environmentalists, and Nazis, or the Democrat-founded Ku Klux Klan.

These attacks on Sound of Freedom are breathtakingly stupid, reactionary, and driven by only two things: bigotry and fear.

RETALIATION: ‘Missing’ Biden Corruption Witness Hit With Federal Charges

Dr. Gal Luft, a key figure in House Republicans’ investigation of the Biden family’s international influence-peddling, faces federal charges of arms trafficking, operating as an unregistered lobbyist for China, and conspiring to flout US sanctions on Iran, according to a Manhattan indictment unsealed Monday.

Prosecutors in the Southern District of New York say Luft, 57, a dual US-Israeli citizen who was arrested in Cyprus this past February and went on the run after being released on bail prior to his extradition, agreed in 2015 to let former Hong Kong official Patrick Ho send $350,000 each year to Luft’s think tank, the Institute for the Analysis of Global Security.

In return, the indictment said, Luft agreed to “recruit and ‘educate’ a former high-ranking US official to “make public statements … which were in the interest of China.”

The Bat Signal Goes up to Defend Biden for Disowning His Young Granddaughter

Joe Biden disowning his own young granddaughter remains perhaps the most perplexing scandal of his presidency, both in its brazenness and its pointlessness. What does Biden gain from refusing to acknowledge Navy Roberts? And why is he so determined to erase her that he’s even instructed his own staffers to say he has only six grandchildren?

I can’t get into his mind, but I can’t think of a reasonable explanation for such grotesque behavior. That’s become a problem for the mainstream press as they’ve tried to navigate the issue.

To its credit, The New York Times did recently write a scathing critique, noting that Biden can’t continue to claim the mantle of decency if he disowns a grandchild to please his degenerate son. But as expected, the mood is already shifting, and it looks like the bat signal has gone up to defend Biden on the matter.

BASH: You know, this is, this is a story that is sad and disturbing on so many levels. Yes, it is political for a couple of reasons. Number one, yes, Republicans are using it and are going to take advantage of it in a way that is unfortunate and inappropriate. But the reason they are doing that, and able to do that, is because of the brand and the kind of person that we all know and believe Joe Biden to be because it’s who he says he is, and it’s someone who is a family man. That’s what we see all of the time.

Where do you start with a statement like that? Let’s remind everyone of the reality here. Joe Biden is attempting to erase the existence of his own granddaughter. It is not Republicans who are the bad guys here, and it is not “unfortunate and inappropriate” for them to point out that Biden’s image as a loving family man is a facade. All of us know Bash would never suggest the immoral behavior of any Republican is off-limits. Yet, that’s exactly what she’s saying when she immediately runs to blame Biden’s opponents and not Biden himself for doing something so awful.

The Insanity Continues: Debate Rages Over Whether Transgender “Men” Should Register for the Draft

. . .[A] GOP congressman has a novel proposal aimed at transgender Americans: Make transgender men register for the draft.

The idea comes in the form of an amendment to the annual defense policy bill proposed by far-right Rep. Tim Burchett, R-Tenn. The amendment would change the requirements to register for Selective Service by defining “male citizen of the United States” as including a “transgender person who identifies as male.”

“If they want to be treated like men, then they need to do what other men do and register for the Selective Service and get called up like everybody else,” Burchett said in a statement to Military.com.

“This group of people is more protected than any other group, and it’s not right,” he added about a group of people who have been the subject of more than 200 proposed state laws this year targeting their rights and are four times more likely to be victims of a violent crime than non-transgender people.

Transgender people have been able to serve openly in the military since the start of the Biden administration. But under current law, no one who was assigned female at birth is required to register for the draft regardless of whether they have transitioned to male, according to the National Center for Transgender Equality. Soccer Coach’s Lost Phone Contained Videos of Him Raping Boys, Police Say

A soccer coach in Tennessee has been arrested after police said they found hundreds of videos and images of him appearing to rape unconscious boys on a phone he left behind at a restaurant.

Police in Franklin, Tenn., said in a Sunday statement that Camilo Hurtado Campos, 63, recruited boys onto his soccer team and then sexually abused them. They said Campos drugged and raped at least 10 boys as young as 9 years old and recorded footage of his crimes.

He is being held in custody on charges of raping a child and sexually exploiting a minor, police said. In Tennessee, rape of a child is a Class A felony that carries a minimum sentence of 25 years in prison. Sexual exploitation of a minor is a Class B felony when the suspect possesses more than 100 images or materials that show a minor engaged in sexual activity.

Police Lt. Charles Warner told NBC News that Campos was being held Sunday on a $525,000 bond. The Franklin Police Department could not be reached for comment early Monday.

Police said employees at a local restaurant found a customer’s phone and went through it to try to reach the owner so they could return it. After stumbling upon “unconscionable videos and pictures of children,” they called the police, the department said. Poll: Trump Holds 20 Point Lead Over Desantis in Florida

Former President Donald Trump holds a 20-point lead over Gov. Ron DeSantis in Florida, polling from the Florida Atlantic University Mainstreet PolCom Lab found.

The survey found Florida Republicans maintaining a commitment to the former president, even on DeSantis’s home turf.

Half of GOP primary voters in the Sunshine State, 50 percent, support Trump in the crowded Republican primary field. DeSantis comes in a distant second, garnering 30 percent support in the Florida primary.

No other candidate comes remotely close. Anti-woke businessman Vivek Ramaswamy, for instance, comes in third place, 26 points behind DeSantis with four percent support. Sen. Tim Scott garnered just three percent support, followed by former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, former Arkansas Gov.
