Biden to Announce Re-Elect Bid by Video; 70% Don’t Want Him to Run: Poll

President Joe Biden is expected to announce his re-election bid on Tuesday — by video.

Numerous reports late last week have said Biden will make the announcement on April 25, which will be the four-year anniversary of his 2020 campaign launch.

The news comes as a new NBC News poll found 70% of Americans, including 51% of Democrats, think Biden, 80, shouldn’t run for re-election, with just 26% supporting the president.

Nearly half of those surveyed (48%) cited Biden’s age as their “major” concern with Biden running again. Another 21% said Biden’s age was a “minor” concern.

The poll also found that 60% of Americans — including a third of Republicans — think former President Donald Trump shouldn’t run in 2024. (Read more from “Biden to Announce Re-Elect Bid by Video; 70% Don’t Want Him to Run: Poll” HERE)

Fox Corporation Loses $1 Billion in Stock Value after Tucker Carlson Exit

Fox Corporation took a major financial hit upon Monday’s sudden announcement that Fox News and primetime host Tucker Carlson had “parted ways.”

The parent company of Fox News, which also owns branded entertainment and sports entities, saw its stock drop more than 5% in value in the minutes after the unexpected announcement.

According to the Washington Examiner, that decline in stock value is worth more than $1 billion.

Mr. Carlson had been the network’s most popular individual host — only “The Five” bested “Tucker Carlson Tonight” in the ratings last year and sometimes Mr. Carlson’s 8 p.m. show would edge out the 5 p.m. panel program.

There had been no public inkling in recent days that Mr. Carlson would soon be leaving Fox News, and neither the network nor Mr. Carlson had specified the reason for their parting by late Monday afternoon. Hunter Biden Lawyers Demand Action against MTG in Letter to House Ethics Committee

Lawyers representing President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, sent a letter to the House Ethics Committee on Monday, requesting action be taken against Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) for her comments and posts about the president’s son.

The letter alleges that Hunter Biden has been the victim of “continuous verbal attacks, defamatory statements, publication of personal photos and data, and promotion of conspiracy theories” from Greene, per Politico.

“As outlined below, her public statements and related efforts on Twitter, Truth Social, Facebook, and during public appearances attacking Mr. Biden sound and read like school-yard insults rather than the work of a Member of Congress, and they fail to uphold the integrity and dignity expected of members of the House of Representatives,” the letter said.

The letter references tweets from Greene in which she alleged that Hunter Biden is participating in human trafficking and the solicitation of prostitutes.

“Not only are these statements false, defamatory, and malicious, but they are undignified from a Member of Congress and far beyond anything close to genuine legislative activities or political advocacy,” the letter said. Alleged Pentagon Leaks Say ISIS Regrouping in Afghanistan, Angering Taliban

Documents allegedly procured from a trove of Department of Defense leaks suggest the Islamic State’s Afghanistan operation, ISIS-Khorasan, has strengthened markedly under Taliban rule and is consistently plotting attacks around the world, the Washington Post claimed this weekend.

ISIS-Khorasan, or ISIS-K, has taken responsibility for multiple terrorist attacks in Afghanistan since leftist President Joe Biden abandoned the country to the Taliban, another jihadist terror outfit, in August 2021. Several of those attacks have targeted Chinese interests in the country, which have expanded as the Taliban seeks investment from the Communist Party, disregarding China’s ongoing genocide against Muslim people on the countries’ mutual border. Taliban officials enthusiastically reject all indications that the Islamic State is a threat to the stability of Afghanistan, however, and have repeatedly claimed that ISIS simply does not have a presence in the country.

Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid condemned the Washington Post’s reporting as based on a “fake document” in an extensive statement posted to Twitter on Sunday, declaring that ISIS “has been severely defeated and is in the process of being eliminated.”

The Post claimed that the ominous warnings of the Islamic State rebuilding from the destruction of its “caliphate” in Iraq and Syria using Afghan territory came from documents initially surfacing on the video game chat platform Discord. That set of allegedly classified intelligence and defense documents includes information regarding a wide variety of national security topics, from the status of the war in Ukraine to sensitive conversations attributed to South Korean officials.

FBI agents arrested 21-year-old Jack Teixeira, an Airman First Class in the Massachusetts Air National Guard, in mid-April in relation to the alleged leaks. Multiple corporate media outlets have accused Teixeira of stealing the documents and sharing them on Discord with online friends in an attempt to impress them. Pentagon officials said this month that they are not sure exactly how many documents are now in the public domain as a result of this one incident. Biden Appears to Confuse Congresswoman for Man in ‘Teacher of the Year’ Speech

President Biden committed another gaffe on Monday, this time appearing to confuse a congresswoman’s name with a man’s name.

At the beginning of his National and State Teacher of the Year Celebration remarks on Monday, Biden appeared to confuse Democrat Connecticut Rep. Jahana Hayes’ name, referring to her as “Jonah.”

Biden appeared aware of Hayes’ gender, referring to the congresswoman as such while getting her to stand up.

“Thank you for the members of Congress here today, including two outstanding educating congresswomen: Jonah,” Biden said. “And by the way, Jonah Hayes is — Jonah, where are you? There you are, Jonah, right in front of me!”

“Stand up, Jonah!” the president continued, gesturing for Hayes to stand up. “Jonah happened to be the 2016 national teacher of the year.”

Hidin’ Biden: POTUS Holds Fewest Press Conferences of Any President in 40 Years

Despite a pledge to “bring transparency and truth back to the government,” President Joe Biden has held the fewest press conferences since Ronald Reagan and just half as many as his predecessor.

Biden averaged just 10 news conferences per year during his first two years in office, including 11 solo sessions and nine with foreign leaders, According to The New York Times, which cited the American Presidency Project at the University of California, Santa Barbara.

In contrast, former President Donald Trump averaged 19.5 during his first two years in office, while Barack Obama averaged 23 and Bill Clinton averaged 41.5.

Biden has also taken to avoiding foreign press. Last week in Ireland, Biden skipped the longtime habit of presidents holding press conferences with foreign leaders while abroad. Then this last Thursday, when Biden met with Columbia President Gustavo Petro, there was no press conference. Court Petitioned to Jail Hunter Biden until He Conveys Financial Records in Paternity Case

Lawyers for Lunden Roberts, the mother of Hunter Biden’s child out of wedlock, petitioned an Arkansas court Friday to jail Hunter until he hands over financial records in an ongoing paternity case, documents filed with the Independence County court show.

Hunter, who is trying to reduce his child support payments, has not readily provided Roberts with the financial records her lawyers have requested. The court previously ruled that Hunter’s financial records, once conveyed, will remain under seal and out of public view.

“This court should incarcerate the defendant in the Cleburne County Detention Center until he complies with this court’s orders and answers discovery,” Roberts’ lawyer wrote to compel discovery.

Hunter’s financial records are relevant to Roberts because Hunter has requested the court reduce his monthly child support payments. Hunter has argued his income has decreased in recent months, so therefore he should pay less money to the mother of his child.

But conveying the financial documents could reveal to Roberts’ legal team sensitive information about Hunter’s financial position, including any income from art sales and information about a 10 percent stake in BHR Partners, a Chinese state-backed investment fund Hunter cofounded with Chinese private equity executive Jonathan Li. Report: Biden’s False Hunter Laptop Letter Interfered in Election beyond ‘Anything China or Russia’ Could Do; Over Two Thirds of Republicans Say Trump Investigations Are Politically Motivated: Poll

By New York Post. President Biden’s dirty campaign trick that falsely claimed The Post’s blockbuster Hunter Biden laptop story involved Russian disinformation amounts to far worse election interference than any foreign effort, a top GOP pol said Sunday.

“Actually, they knew the Hunter Biden laptop was real. The FBI knew that. They had possession of it in December 2019,” said Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wisconsin), former head of the Senate Homeland Security Committee, to the “Cats Roundtable” show.

But the Biden campaign still persuaded 51 former intelligence officials to sign onto a letter just weeks before the November 2020 presidential election to discredit — with no evidence — the Post story as Russian propaganda, Johnson said.

Then-acting CIA Director Mike Morell has since admitted in sworn testimony to the House Judiciary Committee that he organized the infamous letter after discussions with members of the Biden campaign, including current Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, then a top adviser.

“They wrote a letter to interfere in our election to a far greater extent than anything China or Russia ever could hope to do — claiming that the laptop had all the earmarks of … a Russian information campaign,” Johnson fumed to John Catsimatidis on the WABC 77 AM radio show. Over Two Thirds of Republicans Say Trump Investigations Are Politically Motivated: Poll

By Daily Caller. A new NBC News poll released Sunday shows over two thirds of Republicans believe the investigations into former President Donald Trump are politically motivated and designed to stop him from becoming president again.

NBC polled Republican primary voters about their thoughts on Donald Trump’s legal battles and who they are supporting for the party’s 2024 presidential nomination.

“Which statement comes closer to your view on the investigations into Donald Trump and the Republican nomination for president?,” NBC asked. They provided one statement about nominating a candidate who will not be distracted and focused solely on defeating President Biden and another statement about whether the Trump investigations are politically motivated.

68% of the Republican primary voters surveyed said Trump’s legal battles are politically motivated and they must support him, compared to 26% who voiced concern about nominating a candidate who could be distracted from running against Biden. Hunter Biden’s Lawyers to Meet DOJ as Special Counsel Remains Unnamed by Garland

Hunter Biden’s lawyers will reportedly meet in coming days with U.S. prosecutor David Weiss and one Justice Department official after an IRS agent alleged the improper politicization of a tax probe into the president’s son — all while Attorney General Merrick Garland refuses to name a special counsel in the case.

As far back as May 2019, Hunter has been under investigation by the DOJ for tax fraud, money laundering, and violation of lobbying laws. Federal prosecutors, led by Weiss, have reportedly considered charging Hunter over a year ago for three tax crimes and one gun crime.

Though Hunter has so far avoided indictment, prosecutors could bring charges against him, sources familiar with the investigation told CNN. In the coming days, the case will be discussed between the DOJ, Weiss, and Hunter’s attorney, multiple sources familiar with the matter told CNN. Apparently Hunter’s lawyers called for the meeting.

On Wednesday, an IRS whistleblower alleged two Biden administration political appointees within the DOJ are working to block charges against Hunter for tax violations against recommendations. Republicans Advance Bill Requiring Texas Public Schools to Display Ten Commandments (VIDEO)

Republicans in the Texas State Senate have passed a pair of bills that would require public schools to display the Ten Commandments, give students and staff a daily prayer period, and allow teachers to read the Bible.

Late last week, the Texas State Senate passed the bills, both with a 17-12 vote, and they now head to the state’s House of Representatives. The first bill, sponsored by State Sen. Phil King (R) would require all public schools in Texas to display the Ten Commandments.

“This is an American tradition,” King said. “If schools in Texas do not have it in their funding to [display the Ten Commandments], they can accept private dollars for this.”

The second bill, sponsored by State Sen. Mayes Middleton (R), would require public schools to give students and staff a daily period of prayer time. Likewise, the bill would allow teachers to read the Bible and other religious texts as part of the curriculum.
