Mystery Deepens Over Green Beret Who Detonated Cybertruck Outside Trump Las Vegas Hotel

The mystery surrounding why a U.S. Army Special Forces soldier blew up a Tesla Cybertruck outside the Trump Las Vegas hotel on New Year’s Day continues to baffle investigators, even after police released a 70-page final report on Monday.

Authorities confirmed that the attacker, 37-year-old Matthew Livelsberger, an active-duty Green Beret, left behind a digital manifesto now deemed classified by the Department of War. The report reveals that Livelsberger, described by peers as a “Rambo-type patriot,” filled the rented Cybertruck with fireworks, gasoline, and camping fuel before setting it off outside the hotel’s main lobby. As the vehicle erupted in flames, Livelsberger allegedly shot himself, resulting in six hotel guests being injured in the blast.

While the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) described the event as a “premeditated attack involving a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device,” Livelsberger claimed in a note that it was not a terrorist act. Instead, he called it a “wake-up call” to Americans, criticizing the U.S. for “feckless leadership” and warning the nation was “near collapse.”

“This was not a terrorist attack, it was a wake-up call,” he wrote in a notes app message. “Americans only pay attention to spectacles and violence. What better way to get my point across than a stunt with fireworks and explosives.”

Investigators discovered that Livelsberger had recently suffered a personal breakdown. He was on leave from his post in Germany when his wife left him over alleged infidelity just six days before the explosion. Sources said he departed his Colorado Springs home the next day, rented the Cybertruck through the car-sharing app Turo, and drove to Las Vegas.

The report also confirmed that Livelsberger sent one of his final messages to Shawn Ryan, a former Navy SEAL and CIA contractor, though the contents of that message remain undisclosed.

The FBI and Army Criminal Investigations Division were among the multiple agencies involved in the probe, which initially explored whether the attack was politically motivated due to its proximity to a Trump-branded property. Officials, however, say no conclusive link to political extremism has been found.

The LVMPD emphasized that they have no control over the release of the classified manifesto, citing the Department of Defense’s jurisdiction.

Despite the official closure of the case, many questions remain unanswered — from the contents of Livelsberger’s manifesto to his true motives on the night he turned a luxury electric vehicle into a giant firecracker.

More Than 33% of Young Americans Believe Political Violence Can Be Justified in Certain Cases: Poll

A significant portion of young Americans believe there are cases when political violence is acceptable, according to a troubling survey released Monday.

More than one-third of Americans under the age of 45 agreed with the view that political violence can be justified, in certain cases, the Politico/Public First poll found.

The portion of young people who think political violence sometimes has a place in society was about 10 percentage points higher than the overall population, of which, disturbingly, 24% believe it is justified in some instances.

Politico did not release the crosstabs of the survey, but said “there was little partisan divide” in the question about condoning political violence.

Most voters, 64%, rejected political violence and indicated that it is never justified.

The survey of 2,051 US adults was conducted between Oct. 18 and Oct. 21, just over a month after the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk and roughly four months after the assassination of former Democratic House Speaker Melissa Hortman and her husband. Foreign Election Interference? UK Leftists Campaign For Mamdani In NYC Race

A member of the United Kingdom’s parliament announced Sunday that he was campaigning on behalf of socialist New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani.

Independent Member of Parliament for Islington North Jeremy Corbyn posted on X that he was “hosting a phone bank” with the Democratic Socialists of America “to Get Out The Vote for” Mamdani.

“Let’s get Zohran over the finish line for a New York that’s affordable for all!” Corbyn posted on X.

The Federalist’s CEO and co-founder Sean Davis pointed out that Corbyn was engaging in “literal foreign election interference on behalf of a Ugandan Muslim who wants to ‘globalize the intifada’ in America’s largest city.”

Notably, Corbyn once decried President Donald Trump for allegedly interfering in Britain’s elections. (Read more from “Foreign Election Interference? UK Leftists Campaign For Mamdani In NYC Race” HERE)

Trump Tells New Yorkers To Back Andrew Cuomo Over Socialist Zohran Mamdani

President Donald Trump told New Yorkers on Monday to back Independent New York City mayoral candidate Andrew Cuomo in the city’s mayoral race instead of Republican mayoral candidate Curtis Sliwa.

In a Truth Social post, Trump said he would withhold federal funding from New York if Democratic New York City mayoral nominee Zohran Mamdani wins, calling the socialist state assemblyman a “total failure” who would lead the city into “complete and total economic and social disaster.”

“He [Mamdani] was nothing as an Assemblyman, ranked at the bottom of the class and, as Mayor of potentially, again, the Greatest City in the World, HE HAS NO CHANCE to bring it back to its former Glory! We must also remember this — A vote for Curtis Sliwa (who looks much better without the beret!) is a vote for Mamdani,” Trump said. “Whether you personally like Andrew Cuomo or not, you really have no choice. You must vote for him, and hope he does a fantastic job. He is capable of it, Mamdani is not!

Trump said Mamdani is a “Communist Candidate” who would drive the city toward collapse.

“If Communist Candidate Zohran Mamdani wins the Election for Mayor of New York City, it is highly unlikely that I will be contributing Federal Funds, other than the very minimum as required, to my beloved first home, because of the fact that, as a Communist, this once great City has ZERO chance of success, or even survival!” Trump wrote. GOP Rep Could Be In Big Trouble If Public Learns More About Alleged Affair Partner Setting Herself On Fire

Republican Texas Rep. Tony Gonzales’s support from GOP primary voters craters after they learn of his alleged affair with a district staffer, according to a new Trafalgar Group poll obtained by the Daily Caller.

Regina Santos-Aviles, Gonzales’s regional district director, set herself on fire in her backyard in Uvalde, Texas in September before succumbing to her injuries at the hospital, according to a 24sight News report. Gonzales was allegedly having an affair with Santos-Aviles, who was also married, according to more than half a dozen sources who spoke to 24sight News and the Daily Mail. Gonzales has not publicly denied having an affair.

The Trafalgar Group poll, conducted Oct. 26 to Oct. 29 on behalf of an outside organization not connected with either campaign, asked Texas 23rd District voters whether they were aware of reports that “Gonzales, who is married, was having an affair with one of his congressional employees, Regina Santos-Aviles, and that employee recently committed suicide by setting herself on fire.”

Of the 503 likely Republican primary voters polled, 46% said they were unaware of the reports of the alleged affair between Gonzales and Santos-Aviles.

A follow-up question asked if voters were aware that Gonzales is “subject to an investigation by the House Ethics committee for violating rules for having an affair with an employee?” (Read more from “GOP Rep Could Be In Big Trouble If Public Learns More About Alleged Affair Partner Setting Herself On Fire” HERE)

Vance Says UFOs Could Be ‘Angels or Demons,’ Hints at Spiritual Forces

Vice President J.D. Vance has sparked fresh intrigue after suggesting that UFO sightings might not just be extraterrestrial—but spiritual. In a wide-ranging and surprisingly candid conversation on the “Pod Force One” podcast with the New York Post’s Miranda Devine, Vance speculated that unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP) could be evidence of unseen “spiritual forces working on the physical world.”

“I’m a big believer that there are things out there that we can’t explain,” Vance said. “If another person sees an alien, maybe I see an angel or a demon.” He added, “There are spiritual forces working on the physical world that a lot of us don’t see and don’t understand.”

When pressed on whether he believes in alien life, Vance didn’t commit either way. “Is it aliens or is it our guardian angel? Or is it aliens or is it a not-so-guardian force that doesn’t care about us—or in fact actively wishes us harm? I don’t know the answer,” he admitted. “What I try to do is say my prayers, be as good of a person as I can, and do a good job. Hopefully, that’s all I need to do.”

Vance’s comments came as part of a lighthearted yet earnest exchange with Devine, who jokingly called herself a “mad UFO-lunatic.” The vice president laughed and agreed—“me too”—but noted he hasn’t had time to fully investigate the topic since taking office. “I’ll get to the bottom of this,” he promised, though acknowledging “it’ll take a long time.”

The discussion comes amid renewed attention on UAPs in Washington. In recent months, several lawmakers—including Florida Democrat Rep. Jared Moskowitz—have accused the government of covering up its knowledge of UFOs. “It’s politically convenient for the government if you all weren’t military folks in suits,” Moskowitz said during a House Oversight hearing in September, referencing veterans who testified about encounters with mysterious aerial objects.

Vance also mentioned that Secretary of State Marco Rubio, a longtime advocate for UFO transparency, shares his curiosity. “There’s certainly an interest there,” Vance said. “This is the crazy person inside me. All of us put the tinfoil hat on from time to time.”

The vice president’s fascination with UFOs isn’t new. Back in August, he told the “Ruthless Podcast” that he was “obsessed with the whole UFO thing,” adding, “What’s actually going on? What were those videos all about? What’s actually happening?”

Report: Nancy Pelosi’s Possible Retirement Causes Stir Among Democrats — ‘I Think She’s Out’

Some Democrats are speculating that 85-year-old former Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) may soon step into retirement.

NBC News reported Monday that her fellow Democrats are “bracing” for her retirement.

“She is expected to make an announcement about her future after Tuesday’s elections, when voters will consider a ballot measure, known as ‘Proposition 50,’ that would redraw the state’s congressional lines. Pelosi is a prominent proponent of the plan, which Democrats hope would net them several seats in next year’s midterm elections,” the outlet said.

It cited several Democrat sources who reportedly believe she will not seek reelection in 2026.

One House Democrat from California said they wish she would stay for another decade, but “I think she’s out. She’s going to go out with Prop 50 overwhelmingly passing, and what a crowning achievement for her to do that.”

A House Democrat leadership aide said, “I think she’s preparing to exit the stage.” (Read more from “Report: Nancy Pelosi’s Possible Retirement Causes Stir Among Democrats — ‘I Think She’s Out’” HERE)

Judges Order Trump Admin to Use Emergency Funds to Pay for SNAP Benefits

A pair of federal judges ruled Friday that the Trump administration must use emergency funding to restore at least some SNAP food benefits — one day before the US Department of Agriculture had warned money for the program would run out due to the ongoing government shutdown.

The judges in Boston and Providence, RI, both said that the USDA could decide whether to fund the entitlement commonly known as food stamps in full or in part for the month of November — but a full cutoff was unlawful.

The SNAP program serves approximately 42 million Americans and costs about $8 billion per month nationally.

Leaders of 25 Democratic-run states and the District of Columbia sued the USDA in Boston federal court Tuesday after the executive agency warned that the “well has run dry” for SNAP benefits.

Senate Democrats, led by House Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), have voted to reject the funding bill 13 times in hopes of forcing concessions from Republicans that would extend pandemic-era Affordable Care Act subsidies that are set to expire Dec. 31.

The Trump administration argued that a contingency fund with about $5 billion in it set aside for emergencies could not be used even if it wanted to. The states — along with a coalition of cities and nonprofits who brought the Rhode Island case — argued not only that the money could be used, but that it had to be used under the Food and Nutrition Act, which requires that “assistance under this program shall be furnished to all eligible households.” (Read more from “Judges Order Trump Admin to Use Emergency Funds to Pay for SNAP Benefits” HERE)

Woman Receives Package of Human ‘Arms and Fingers’ Instead of Medicine Delivery

A Kentucky woman who was expecting a medicine delivery opened the package only to discover severed human arms and fingers on ice, according to a report.

After receiving the gruesome surprise on Wednesday, the woman called 911 from her home in Hopkinsville, The New York Times reported.

“We were expecting a delivery of urgent medication that was flown in on like a Nashville airport thing, and they delivered two boxes,” she said in the 911 call obtained by WSMV.

“We opened one box and it turned out to be human body parts for transplant, like it’s very medicinal,” she continued.

“We’re trying to know where it goes. We just didn’t want to be in the possession of body parts that don’t belong to us.”

Emergency responders then called in Christian County coroner Scott Daniel to retrieve the two arms and four digits, The Times reported. (Read more from “Woman Receives Package of Human ‘Arms and Fingers’ Instead of Medicine Delivery” HERE)

Meet The Mysterious Billionaire Paying American Troops During Government Shutdown

Timothy Mellon isn’t like the other billionaires. If you haven’t heard of him, it’s because he’s rarely appeared in the press outside of a wedding announcement in 1963. He lives in Wyoming – not Jackson Hole, with the other elites of the west – in small town Saratoga, with a population of 1,760.

Despite keeping a low profile, Mellon is what Vanity Fair described as the most “consequential mega-donor” of the 2024 presidential election.

Amid the government shutdown, President Donald Trump announced that the administration received a $130 million donation to pay American troops. The donation was mysterious as the president refused to name the donor, who he called a “patriot” and friend. Sources later identified the donor to The New York Times, saying Timothy Mellon, grandson of former Treasury Secretary Andrew W. Mellon, provided the funds anonymously.

When 83-year-old Mellon is talked about in the press, he is typically described as reclusive. Media outlets often use a photo of him from 1981 when writing about him. The billionaire rarely does interviews, though his family has spoken about him and his political donations in the past.

Those who know Mellon describe him as a “socially awkward” guy who “wears old aviator glasses with tape on the bridge,” Vanity Fair previously reported.
