Children’s Hospital Coached Local School District on ‘Affirming’ Trans Students

The University of California, San Francisco Benioff Children’s Hospital trained local public school employees on how to work with transgender students and navigate parent concerns, according to a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request filed by Parents Defending Education.

The hospital provided trainings to San Francisco Unified School District social workers over a four-year span that encouraged the school staff to be affirming of students’ gender identities, according to the documents obtained by the Washington Examiner. The sessions were reportedly designed by the hospital’s Child and Adolescent Gender Center (CAGC).

During a 2018 session, the hospital staff engaged the social workers in a variety of scenarios about working with transgender students. One case study asked social workers how they would respond to an eighth-grade student who claimed she “need[s] testosterone or [she] will die.”

The correct answer was to influence the child’s mother to explore “medical options” by telling her about the daughter’s comments about depression and testosterone.

In 2019, the hospital training claimed that it was an “assumption” to believe there are only two genders and that the goal of treating transgender children should be to limit “distress/dysphoria” through medical options. The goal of the training was to “increase awareness and understanding of gender identity, gender expression and gender wellness” and “increase awareness of Gender Affirmative Care Model with special attention to trauma, adolescent development and systems approaches,” the Examiner reported. Biden’s ‘Non-Binary’ Nuclear Official Who Allegedly Stole Woman’s Suitcase Accused Once Again of Luggage Theft

Biden energy official Samuel Brinton has broke new ground this week by becoming the first openly so-called “gender fluid” government official to have been twice accused of stealing luggage.

Brinton, already scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 19 for having allegedly stolen a woman’s designer suitcase in Minneapolis, has now been accused of stealing luggage at a Nevada airport. . .

Samuel Brinton is a nuclear engineer who serves as deputy assistant secretary for spent fuel and waste disposition in the Office of Nuclear Energy at the Department of Energy.

Just days after a group of House Republicans demanded the Biden official’s resignation, a felony warrant was issued for Brinton.

KLAS reported that Brinton has been charged with grand larceny with a value between $1,200 and $5,000. The Biden official allegedly stole luggage at the Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas. Twitter Files Reveals Blacklists and Shadowbanning – Elon Musk Is Embracing the Same Tactics

In the latest Twitter Files exposé, it was revealed that Twitter shadowbanned accounts to suppress their reach and virality, especially prominent conservatives. There’s just one problem — these tools are almost identical to Elon Musk’s current policy of “freedom of speech, not freedom of reach.” Based on Musk’s comments, it seems unlikely any of the freshly exposed tools are going to be dropped from the platform, leaving Americans seeking free speech at the mercy of nebulous terms like “hate speech.”

Forbes reports that according to former New York Times columnist Bari Weiss, Twitter created “secret blacklists” and conducted a covert operation to reduce the visibility of certain tweets, accounts, and topics. This information comes from the second round of Elon Musk’s “Twitter Files,” which were released on Thursday. These practices, reported on for many years by Breitbart News, are just now being proven true with the release of insider information from the left-wing company.

Many have also noted that Twitter’s previous moderation actions mirror Musk’s own Twitter policy of “freedom of speech, not freedom of reach,” meaning that the platform will continue to shadowban and reduce the reach of certain users and posts. In fact, Musk has bragged about lowering the impressions of tweets containing “hate speech,” likely using the exact tools described in the Twitter Files. “Hate speech” is a word seemingly described differently by every person asked, for example, former Twitter leadership banned women under the hate speech policy for saying that men cannot be women.

Twitter employees allegedly blacklisted a number of accounts, including Stanford health policy professor Jay Bhattacharya, conservative figures Dan Bongino and Charlie Kirk, and the controversial right-wing TikTok account “Libs of TikTok,” according to Weiss. These are just a few examples of what was clearly a common moderation practice for the leftist anti-Trump platform. Twitter Files: Executives Were Looking for Any Excuse to Ban President Donald Trump

Elon Musk’s Twitter released another batch of internal discussions on Friday night, which revealed that executives at the social media company had established the “framework” for banning Donald Trump’s account before the events of January 6, and used the Capitol riots as their excuse to finally blacklist the President. The goal of the left-wing executives is clear in statements such as, “the narrative that Trump and his friends have pursued over the course of this election and frankly the last 4+ years must be taken into account.”

The documents posted to Twitter by journalist Matt Taibbi is the third release of what are known as “Twitter Files” and the first release of documents pertaining to President Trump’s account ban in January 2021.

In a lengthy Twitter thread, Taibbi explained that the internal communications at Twitter between January 6 and January 8 2021 suggest that even the employees of the social media company understood the move to censor a sitting U.S. president would have a historical impact.

“Is this the first sitting head of state to ever be suspended?” one Twitter user asked in internal communications.

After banning Trump, Twitter executives appeared to relish their newfound power, and even flirted with banning future the official @POTUS and @WhiteHouse accounts, but ultimately decided the accounts “will be transitioned over to the new administration in due course and will not be suspended by Twitter unless absolutely necessary.”

Pentagon Says New Military Equipment, Ammo Heading to Ukraine

The Pentagon is shipping more ammunition and military equipment to Ukraine to help the country defend itself against the Russian invasion that started 10 months ago.

The Department of Defense said Friday that it will send 80,000 artillery rounds with more ammunition for the High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS) and equipment used to counter Russian drones. The package also includes air defense weapons, ambulance Humvees, medical equipment and 150 generators.

The latest round of firepower, valued at about $275 million, is again coming straight from U.S. military stocks. It is the 27th such drawdown since August 2021, U.S. officials said.

“This security assistance package will provide Ukraine with new capabilities to boost its air defenses in addition to providing critical equipment that Ukraine is using so effectively to defend itself on the battlefield,” the Pentagon said in a statement. House Republican Support for Same-Sex Marriage Bill Shrinks

Ten House Republicans who voted “yes” on the Respect for Marriage Act when it initially passed the lower chamber over the summer did not support the amended version Thursday.

Seven GOP lawmakers who first supported the bill changed their votes from “yes” to “no,” while two did not vote and one voted present on the Senate-amended version of the legislation that the House first passed in July. The total amount of GOP support decreased from 47 votes in July to 39 votes Thursday, as two Republicans changed from “no” to “yes” votes.

The seven yea-to-nay members were Reps. Brian Mast (R-FL), Dan Meuser (R-PA), Cliff Bentz (R-OR), Mario Diaz-Balart (R-FL), Maria Elvira Salazar (R-FL), Scott Perry (R-PA), and Jefferson Van Drew (R-NJ). Rep. Burgess Owens (R-UT) voted “present” instead of “yes” as he did in July, while Reps. Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) and Lee Zeldin (R-NY) voted “yes” initially but did not vote on Thursday. Two Republican lawmakers, Reps. Mike Gallagher (R-WI) and Jaime Herrera Beutler (R-WA), were the two nay-to-yea votes.

‘Perfect Storm’: Studies on Transgender Medical Procedures for Kids Compromised by ‘Placebo Effect,’ Researcher Argues

Studies that purport to find health benefits for children who undergo transgender medical interventions are compromised by the placebo effect, according to a recent peer-reviewed analysis.

The “gender affirmation” model of care for gender dysphoria favored by the American medical establishment encourages doctors to affirm and encourage a child’s transgender identity and offer irreversible medical procedures to transition them to the opposite sex, pointing to studies suggesting the treatments may be linked to better mental health outcomes. Those studies, however, fail to account for the effect of doctors’ enthusiasm and other environmental factors in gender medicine settings, which may actually be behind any observed mental health improvements, Australian psychiatrist Alison Clayton argued in a Nov. 14 publication in the Archives of Sexual Behavior.

“The current treatment approach for [gender dysphoric] youth presents a perfect storm environment for the placebo effect,” she wrote.

GOP Senator Threatens the Defense Dept. After Its Policy Will Allow Military Members To Receive Abortions

Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Ala) is vowing to hold Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin accountable for planning to fund thousands of abortions, in which taxpayers in part pay for.

The GOP Senator is threatening to place Sente holds on the Defense Department’s civilian and senior military nominations until the DOD terminates its abortion policy which would allow thousands of abortions to be performed for service members and their families.

“It is my conviction that this proposed policy change is illegal, circumvents Congress, and exceeds your authority,” Tuberville wrote, adding “should you implement these proposed changes to the department’s abortion policies, I will place a hold on all future DoD civilian and general/flag officer nominations.”

The woke policy aims at ensuring service members are able to still get abortions even when they are stationed in a state that restricts the procedure, to which Tuberville calls “irresponsible.”

The DOD plans to implement their policy by the end of the year. Tuberville has already placed nine of President Joe Biden’s nominations on hold and vows to it to stay that way until the DOD’s stance on abortion is reversed.

Court Sides With Catholic Doctors on Biden’s Transgender Surgery Policy

A federal appeals court sides with with the Religious Sisters of Mercy and other groups against the Biden Administration’s transgender surgery policy which demanded religious doctors to perform sex change procedures in violation of their beliefs.

The eighth circuit permanently blocked the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) from mandating Catholic doctors to go along with the Democrat’s radical, progressive agenda.

“We agree with these courts and therefore conclude that the district court correctly held that ‘intrusion upon the Catholic Plaintiffs’ exercise of religion is sufficient to show irreparable harm,’” the eight circuit wrote following their decision.

The vice president and senior counsel at Becket Law who represented the plaintiffs, Luke Goodrich, condemned the federal government for even attempting to forced doctors to perform surgeries they are not comfortable with. Woke Military Tells GOP Congress That Eliminating Vaccine Mandate “Hurts Readiness”; House Passes $858 Billion Defense Bill That Reverses Military Vaccine Mandate

By Military Times. Pentagon leaders on Wednesday voiced continued support for their decision to mandate the COVID-19 vaccine for service members in the face of a proposed law that would force the Defense Department to repeal the policy.

During a briefing with reporters, Pentagon spokesperson Sabrina Singh said vaccination is still a military readiness issue, and said a repeal could be harmful to the health of the armed forces.

“What is important to the readiness of the force is getting the vaccine,” she said.

“So, yes, it would impact the readiness of the force. You’re more prone to getting COVID-19 … and we certainly know that the vaccine will save your life.”

One day after congressional leaders approved a repeal of the military’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate in their final draft of the annual defense authorization bill, officials across the executive branch bashed Republicans for jeopardizing the health and welfare of service members by forcing the move. House Passes $858 Billion Defense Bill That Reverses Military Vaccine Mandate

By Military Times. The U.S. House of Representatives passed legislation Thursday authorizing $858 billion in national defense funding, including reversing the U.S. military’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate.

Lawmakers approved a final version to repeal the mandate through the passage of the 2023 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), the annual defense bill.

The 4,000-page legislation advanced with a solid bipartisan majority, 350-80, which requires the Pentagon to rescind the Covid vaccine mandate for active duty service members within 30 days of its enactment.

The bill also includes several policy provisions, including a 4.6% pay raise for military service members, strengthening defense strategies using air force, land warfare, cybersecurity, and increasing U.S. support for Ukraine and NATO, as reported by CNN.

While the bill would remove the vaccine mandate for U.S. troops, it would not reinstate service members who were discharged or had their benefits slashed for refusing to be immunized against COVID.
