Jan. 6 Rioter Awaiting Sentence Found Dead

A Pennsylvania man awaiting sentencing for his participation in the 2021 Capitol riot died by suicide, a coroner ruled this week.

Mark R. Aungst of South Williamsport pleaded guilty on June 27 in a District of Columbia federal court to a charge of demonstrating or parading in a restricted building.

Following his guilty plea, he remained free on personal recognizance but was not allowed in Washington, except for court-related reasons.

Mr. Aungst was scheduled to be sentenced on Sept. 27, with the possibility of facing up to six months in prison and a $5,000 fine.

An obituary posted to NorthcentralPA.com said Mr. Aungst had “tremendous pride for God and his country,” as well as his family. (Read more from “Jan. 6 Rioter Awaiting Sentence Found Dead” HERE)

Fully Vaccinated Account For 91% Of COVID Deaths in One Country

In the first five months of the year, England’s “fully vaccinated” population accounted for more than 90 percent of the deaths attributed to COVID-19, according to official government data.

The U.K.’s Office for National Statistics, or ONS, recently published its data for the period of Jan. 1 through May 31, which show that deaths rose among the vaccinated month by month while falling among the unvaccinated, The Expose reported.

In January, 85% of COVID-19 deaths in England were among the vaccinated and 15% among the unvaccinated. In May, the vaccinated accounted for 94% and the unvaccinated 6%.

Overall, there were 15,113 COVID-19 deaths by May 31, with 13,666 of them among the vaccinated population.

The Expose noted that defenders of the vaccines argue that 50% of the population of England has refused to receive a third shot, presuming the vaccinated deaths are largely among the double and single vaccinated. Elon Musk Had Affair With Wife of Google Co-Founder, Prompting Divorce and Quashing Tech Billionaires’ Long Friendship

Elon Musk had an affair with the wife of Google co-founder Sergey Brin, according to a new report. The extramarital affair allegedly caused the couple to get divorced and ended a long friendship between the two tech billionaires.

The Wall Street Journal reported on Saturday that Musk “engaged in a brief affair” with Brin’s wife in December, citing people familiar with the situation. The reported affair between Musk and Nicole Shanahan began during the Art Basel art show in Miami last December.

The alleged affair took place around the same time that Musk broke up with singer Claire Elise Boucher – best known as her stage name Grimes. Musk had two children with Grimes, including a daughter who was born via a surrogate in the same month as the alleged affair.

The month prior to the affair, Musk had twins with Shivon Zilis – a senior executive at Musk’s Neuralink company. In all, Musk has fathered 10 children with three women. One of his children who he had with Canadian author Justine Wilson died of sudden infant death syndrome at 10 weeks old in 2002.

At the time of the affair, Brin and Shanahan were separated but still living together. The couple allegedly were having issues revolving around COVID-19 and caring for their toddler daughter. ‘This Is Satanism’: New York Times Gets Skewered for Suggesting There Is a ‘Time and Place’ for Cannibalism

The New York Times – the so-called “newspaper of record” – advocated that “cannibalism has a time and a place,” and that current media suggests that now is the time to eat your fellow human. The eye-raising article was flayed on Twitter for even suggesting that people eat people, and many commentators reckoned that the New York Times writer put her foot in her mouth.

The piece was written by Alex Beggs – a freelance writer and “regular contributor at Bon Appétit, where she reviews the latest Trader Joe’s products, writes the magazine’s questionable etiquette column, and regularly covers cookbooks,” according to journalist database Muck Rack.

The article titled “A Taste for Cannibalism?” argues that cannibalism is having a moment right now because of “some recent stomach-churning books, and on television and film screens.” . . .

Writer Emmanuel Rincón: “The New York Times, the progressive media in general and the left, are promoters of all aberrant causes of humanity. Pedophilia, child indoctrination and now cannibalism. Sick.”

CEO Zack Kanter: “A zero sum worldview, irrational fear of overpopulation, and hatred of success will inevitably lead NYT journos to the literal conclusion of ‘eat the rich.’” (Read more from “‘This Is Satanism’: New York Times Gets Skewered for Suggesting There Is a ‘Time and Place’ for Cannibalism” HERE)

Jury Finds Bannon Guilty in Trial Over Contempt of Jan 6 Committee

By The Post Millennial. Former Trump advisor Steve Bannon was found guilty by a DC court of contempt of Congress after defying a subpoena from the House’s January 6 committee.

Bannon had pleaded not guilty to the charges. He faces a minimum sentence of 30 days in jail. Sentencing will take place on October 21.

The committee had wanted documents from Bannon because he had been in contact with Trump while the events on the Capitol took place on that day.

Bannon had argued that the documents requested by the committee were under protection under former President Trump’s claims of executive privilege, as they were the subject of a pending court battle.

Steve Bannon’s Contempt Conviction Hailed by Jan. 6 Committee

By NBC News. . .David Schoen, one of Bannon’s lawyers said outside the courthouse the verdict would not stand. “This is round one,” Schoen said. “You will see this case reversed on appeal.”

Likewise, Bannon himself said, “We may have lost the battle here today; we’re not going to lose this war.”

He thanked the jurors for their service and said he had only one disappointment — “and that is the gutless members of that show trial committee, the J-6 committee didn’t have the guts to come down here and testify.”

Prosecutors were just as firm on the other side of the verdict: “The subpoena to Stephen Bannon was not an invitation that could be rejected or ignored,” Matthew Graves, the U.S. attorney in Washington, said in a statement. “Mr. Bannon had an obligation to appear before the House Select Committee to give testimony and provide documents. His refusal to do so was deliberate, and now a jury has found that he must pay the consequences.” (Read more from “Steve Bannon’s Contempt Conviction Hailed by Jan. 6 Committee” HERE)

Trump Says Pence Refusing to Overturn Election Led to Russia-Ukraine War

Former President Donald Trump has argued that the Russian invasion of Ukraine “never would have happened” if former Vice President Mike Pence had overturned President Joe Biden’s 2020 election win.

Trump said in a statement on Thursday night just before a prime-time hearing of the House Select Committee to Investigate the January 6 Attack on the U.S. Capitol that Pence’s unwillingness to block Biden’s win on the day of the riot was responsible for everything from the war, to inflation, high gas prices and the botched withdrawal of U.S. troops from Afghanistan. The former president also shared the statement to his Truth Social account as the hearing was airing live.

Trump’s statement said that Pence had told him “and everybody else” that “there was nothing he could do about the Electoral Vote Count–it was etched in stone.” Trump argued that Pence was incorrect since “the Democrats and RINOs,” or Republicans in name only, were currently “working so hard to make sure there is nothing a VP can do” to change an election outcome. . .

“We would have no inflation, inexpensive gasoline, be energy dominant, have no war or largescale death with Russia and Ukraine (this conflict never would have happened), would have left Afghanistan on same timetable, but with dignity and strength,” Trump said. “And would have kept Bagram Air Base, not had dead soldiers, taken out all American hostages, and would not have given the Taliban $85 billion worth of first-class military equipment.” (Read more from “Trump Says Pence Refusing to Overturn Election Led to Russia-Ukraine War” HERE)

Melania Trump Breaks Silence on Jan. 6: ‘False Narrative’

Former first lady Melania Trump released a statement blasting her former press secretary for creating a “false narrative” surrounding Jan. 6, 2021.

Stephanie Grisham last month tweeted an alleged text exchange with Trump on Jan. 6, when the then-press secretary asked the first lady if she wanted to officially condemn the Capitol attack.

“Ms. Grisham was not in the White House on January 6, and her behavior in her role as Chief of Staff ultimately amounts to dereliction of duty,” Trump said in her statement, posted Friday on Truth Social.

“Traditionally, the First Lady’s Chief of Staff provides detailed briefings surrounding our Nation’s important issues. In fact, Ms. Grisham failed to provide insight and information into the events surrounding January 6 as she had abandoned her post in Washington, D.C. . .

“And while Ms. Grisham’s behavior is disappointing, it is not surprising or an isolated incident. This is not the first time a former staffer has tried to maintain relevancy and profit by using my name to create a false narrative.” (Read more from “Melania Trump Breaks Silence on Jan. 6: ‘False Narrative'” HERE)
