By Breitbart. The White House on Friday struggled to explain to reporters why it suddenly stopped holding coronavirus briefings after the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) issued its latest masking guidance.

“Why are the doctors not here in the briefing to take our questions?” asked NBC reporter Kelly O’Donnell during the White House press briefing on Friday.

White House deputy press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre defended not having a briefing with the federal health officials, noting President Joe Biden himself spoke to the American people about the coronavirus pandemic on Thursday. . .

But the briefings stopped after the CDC announced new masking guidelines on Tuesday, even for fully vaccinated Americans.

CDC: Biden Admin is Considering a Vaccine Mandate

By PJ Media. In an interview with Fox News’ Bret Baier, CDC Director Rochelle Walensky revealed that she and Joe Biden are “looking into” the possibility of establishing a vaccine mandate.

“Are you for mandating a vaccine on a federal level?” Baier asked her.

“Ummm. That’s something that I think the administration is looking into. It’s something that I think we are looking to see approval of from the vaccine,” Walensky replied. “Overall, I think in general, I am all for more vaccination. But, I have nothing further to say on that except that we are looking into those policies.”

Well, are health care workers part of this supposedly unlearned pro-Trump cult? I ask because a significant number of them are not vaccinated. About a quarter of health care workers in the US have not received the COVID vaccine and don’t plan to any time soon.

NBC News sat down with some nurses and a respiratory therapist about why they’re hesitant. They have questions. They’re worried about the long-term effects and shocker—they don’t really trust the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Who could blame them? With the experts’ inability to give science-based advice, you can see why a lot of folks are waiting. The recent memo circulating around the CDC was rejected by peer review, so we’re reminded once again that the CDC is not God. They’re flawed. They’re not oracles. And the consistent f-ups warrant all of us to mute them when they go on television.

Teachers Union President: Schools Might Not Reopen This Fall (VIDEO)

American Federation of Teachers (AFT) President Randi Weingarten was ripped after hedging on whether or not U.S. schools would reopen in the fall during a Wednesday interview on MSNBC.

While having previously recommended that fully vaccinated individuals are not required to wear masks, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reversed guidance following the spread of the new Delta variant of the virus, announcing that vaccinated people should return to wearing masks indoors and suggesting universal masking in schools.

Weingarten called the guidance a “curveball,” before suggesting that school reopenings this fall are not a done deal.

“So the bottom line is, we’re going to keep kids safe, we’re going to keep our members safe, we’re going to try to open up schools, and we’re going to move through this political battlefield,” Weingarten said.

Critics picked up on her comment about the reopening of schools because it sounded like backpedaling from when she argued in May that “we can and we must reopen schools in the fall.”

CNN host Don Lemon voiced his support for those who do not want to be vaccinated against COVID-19 to be ostracized from society and should not be able to go grocery shopping or being able to hold a job.

“I’m sure a lot of people are not going to agree with this but don’t get the vaccine, you can’t go to the supermarket. Don’t have the vaccine, can’t go to the ball game. Don’t have a vaccine, can’t go to work. You don’t have a vaccine, can’t come here. No shirt, no shoes, no service,” Lemon said on Monday night to host Chris Cuomo.

“That’s where we should be because we continue to waste our breath on people that are just not going to change. You know, the circular logic they keep going back and saying well, it’s my freedom it’s whatever. I’m free. Well, your kid is not free to give other kids meningitis in schools. Got to take a vaccine to do that. You got to take a vaccine to be employed. So what is the big deal? All these people are saying I don’t want to put this stuff in my body there out drinking on the weekend and putting other substances in their bodies that’s way worse than a vaccine. Come on, let be real.”

Paul warned Fauci that eventually, he would be held personally accountable for his role in funding the so-called “gain of function” research carried out in the Wuhan Institute of Virology, a facility run by the Chinese military subject to US or international oversight. . .

President Joe Biden took a question from reporters when he returned to the White House on Sunday after spending the weekend at his Delaware home and began the exchange with a barking, bizarre statement, a clip of which was posted to social media and left many users scratching their heads.

A video clip of the exchange was posted by ABC News White House correspondent Molly Nagle, who asked, “Does immigration need to be in reconciliation? A pathway for citizenship?”

Biden responded in an emphatic matter and appeared to some users to say something like, “My butt’s been wiped!” — though it is not at all clear that’s what the president said. In fact, it’s difficult to make his exact words out due to the background noise and rotor wash of Marine One, the name of the helicopter the president uses for short-distance travel.

In an interview Thursday for Tucker Carlson Tonight on Fox News, Wikipedia co-founder Larry Sanger stated he was embarrassed about helping found the site given its increasing left-wing bias. Noting it helps shape the understanding many Americans have of the world, Carlson asked Sanger what could be done to fix the problems on Wikipedia, but Sanger doubted it was possible to fix the site from the inside. He instead argued for creating alternative sources, noting his most recent effort: the Encyclosphere.

Sanger also apologized to those individuals whose reputations have been harmed by Wikipedia because of his role in founding it, though Carlson also noted Google’s role in promoting the site. Carlson himself has been one subject of smear campaigns on the site. . .

At the beginning of Carlson’s segment on Wikipedia, he commented that, in the years since Sanger ceased involvement with Wikipedia, it “has gone on to become the world’s single most important source of history — of information about the world” and it was therefore “a problem that we ought to pay attention to when Larry Sanger himself says that Wikipedia is no longer a reliable source of honest information.” He noted Sanger “says the editors of Wikipedia use highly politicized sources and block dissenting news outlets from contributing” adding “once again, that’s a problem for all of us.” . . .

Ending the segment, Carlson remarked to Sanger: “It must kill you as one of the people who founded Wikipedia, which has become this central part of our culture of our intellectual life, weird as it is to say, to watch what has happened to it.” He asked how Sanger feels about his “role in creating this thing that misleads the country” to which Sanger stated he was embarrassed. Sanger noted he has been a leading Wikipedia critic for over a decade and tried various things to improve on it. Sanger added he was “sorry to all the people whose reputations have been sullied by what I got started 20 years ago.” Carlson noted to Sanger that “Google has helped a lot by promoting Wikipedia” in response. MLB Team Choses New Name Following Woke Backlash (VIDEO)

The Cleveland Indians officially announced their new name on Friday.

The decision to change the name came last year amid racial tension in the U.S. as professional sports teams came under fire for having Native American monikers.

The baseball team will be known as the Guardians. . .

Cleveland launched a section on its official website dedicated to the new name. Team owner Paul Dolan wrote in a letter to fans the “Indians will always be part of our history just as Cleveland has always been the most important part of our identity.”

“In searching for a new brand, we sought a name that strongly reflects the pride, resiliency and loyalty of Clevelanders.
