A large meteor was visible at 4.55 local time this Friday from almost all of Puerto Rico as reported by the Caribbean Astronomy Society (SAC).
“Although most meteors are only visible for a few seconds, this event was significant since images that we managed to capture show that it was visible for 27 seconds, that is almost half a minute,” said Eddie Irizarry, vice president of the SAC.
“It looked bigger and bigger, it didn’t look like a common meteor,” said Idaly Correa, who witnessed the spectacular sighting from the municipality of Guayanilla.
The SAC director clarified that despite the long duration of the meteor, it was not space debris, but a natural meteor, that is, a space rock disintegrating through the atmosphere.

By Fox News. Wikipedia co-founder Larry Sanger continued his criticism this week of the online encyclopedia that he helped create, citing the page on President Biden as an example of its leftist bias.
“You can trust it to give a reliably establishment point of view on pretty much everything. Can you trust it always to give you the truth? Well, it depends on what you think the truth is,” Sanger said Wednesday on LockdownTV with Freddie Sayers.
Sanger feels Wikipedia has changed considerably since he founded it alongside Jimmy Wales in 2001 and has been a critic for more than a decade. He said the site is no longer committed to neutrality and doesn’t feature different points of view.
“Wikipedia is known, now, by everyone to have a lot of influence in the world … so there is a very big, nasty, complex game being played behind the scenes to make the articles say what somebody wants them to say,” Sanger said, adding the site has a liberal bias.

Wikipedia Co-Founder Says Site Is Now ‘Propaganda’ for Left-Leaning ‘Establishment’

Now, he insisted, conservative voices are “sternly warned if not kicked out” if they try to add a different take on establishment views — which Sanger deemed “propaganda.”
“You can’t cite Fox News on socio-political issues. It’s just banned now,” he insisted of the apparent clampdown on respected conservative voices.
“It means that if a controversy does not appear in the mainstream centre-left media, then it’s not going to appear on Wikipedia,” he said. . .
“If only one version of the facts is allowed then that gives a huge incentive to wealthy and powerful people to seize control of things like Wikipedia in order to shore up their power,” he said. UFC fighter Jorge Masvidal took a swing at former NFL player and anthem protester Colin Kaepernick for parading around in a Fidel Castro t-shirt while claiming to protest oppression.
In a July 12 tweet, the Cuban-American UFC fighter slammed Kaepernick for his hypocrisy even as protests rise against the communist regime in Cuba.
“My father escaped Cuba when he was 14 years old,” Masvidal said in the video attached to his tweet. “And I’ve only heard the horror stories since I could process thoughts of how shitty this communist regime, killing machine is. So, I just want to shed some light on Cuba — big SOS signal for them.”

“This oppression has been going on for 61 years,” Masvidal continued. “This is not just because of the pandemic, or it’s not just because they ran out of medicine — they’ve been out of medicine and they’ve been out of resources and food because of the corrupt government and the extreme corruption over there where only a few at the top eat and everyone has to suffer. Those days have to end.”
Later, in an Instagram post, Madvidal recalled how Colin Kaepernick wore a t-shirt praising Cuba’s communist dictator, Fidel Castro, and added that “cowards” like Kaepernick should be sent to live in Cuba so they can experience real oppression.

Dash camera footage captured the moment a car went air born off a highway in California last week and landed on a road below.
The car was smoking as it flew through the air in Yuba City, California, landing directly in front of a family that can be heard screaming at the sight of the smoking vehicle. The driver of the vehicle was able to stop in time to avoid hitting the other driver in the mangled car.
The car tumbled several times before coming to a standstill in an upside-down position. The family in the vehicle can be heard calling the police after witnessing the event, in a video posted by YouTube user “THE LIFE OF MIKE & FAM”.
The driver, who was a woman, survived, according to CBS Sacramento. During an interview, an individual who captured the accident on nearby surveillance cameras told the outlet that the driver missed a hard turn and continued on straight – narrowly missing power lines as she landed on the road below. In the book, Milley describes Donald Trump and the millions of people who supported him as the moral equivalent of Adolf Hitler. As thousands of Trump supporters peacefully gathered in Washington for what they assumed was a constitutionally protected political rally, the kind we’ve had for hundreds of years, shortly after the election, Milley likened them to brown shirts. That is the paramilitary wing of the Nazi Party.
Trump’s complaints about voter fraud, Milley explained to his advisers out loud were actually calls for genocide. “This is a Reichstag moment,” Milley said. “The gospel of the Fuhrer.” Those are quotes. Think about that.
So, your grandfather joined the U.S. military to go overseas to risk his life to fight the Nazis. Now, the head of the U.S. military calls you a Nazi for having your grandfather’s political views. What do you think of that? Keep in mind that Mark Milley is a man the media tells us is a deep intellectual, someone who reads books and stuff, not just Wikipedia.

White House Finally Admits: ‘Communism Is a Failed Ideology’
By Breitbart. White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said in part that “communism is a failed ideology” when Fox News’s Peter Doocy asked if she had changed her stance on why she thinks Cubans have been protesting in the streets since Sunday.
The admission was a notable tone shift from Monday, when Psaki postulated that Cuban protesters yelling “freedom!” during anti-communist protests were actually demanding “freedom from rising COVID cases.” Psaki again declined on Wednesday to directly blame communism for the current unrest in Cuba when Doocy asked her whether communism was the reason people might want to flee Cuba for the U.S.

Doocy: Now that you’ve had a few days to think about it, does this White House still think the protests in Cuba are happening because people are upset about a rise in COVID cases there, or is there some thought maybe you’ve given to the possibility that they are protesting because they are sick of communism?
Psaki: Well, uh, Peter, first I would say communism is a failed ideology, and we certainly believe that. It has failed the people of Cuba. They deserve freedom. They deserve a government that supports them, whether that is, uh, making sure they have health and medical supplies, uh, access to vaccines, or whether they have economic opportunity and prosperity. And instead, this has been a government, an authoritarian, communist regime, that has repressed its people and has failed the people of Cuba, hence we’re seeing them in the streets. But I would note that ideology of the government, which has failed, has led to a lack of access to economic opportunity, to medical supplies, to COVID vaccines, so all of those pieces are true. A Penn State University sociology professor instructed a white student to stand up in class to make an example of how his race apparently gives him privilege over others. . .
In a discussion of racism, Richards picks on a student named Russell. The professor then told the hundreds of students he “has a benefit of having white skin.” . . .
“Look at Russell, right here, it doesn’t matter what he does,” he also said. “If I match him up with a black guy in class, or a brown guy even …who’s just like him, has the same GPA, looks like him, walks like him, talks like him, acts in a similar way, has been involved in the same groups on campus, takes the same leadership positions, does whatever it is, if I match him up with that person and we send them into the same jobs, upon graduation …Russell has a benefit of having white skin.”
This is not the first time the professor has forced his political opinions on students. 2024 Preview? Governor Seems To Throw Shade During CPAC Speech
By Daily Caller. Republican South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem accused some Republican governors Sunday of “rewriting history” in how they reflect on their performance during the COVID-19 pandemic.
It appeared Noem was likely referring to Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis, among others. DeSantis issued a stay-at-home order for Florida on April 1 of last year, lifting it almost a month later on April 29. He removed all restrictions on businesses the following September. Noem, by contrast, was one of seven GOP governors who never issued a shutdown order for their states.
“Let’s talk about rewriting history. We’ve got Republican Governors across this country pretending they didn’t shut down their states, that they didn’t close their beaches, that they didn’t mandate masks, that they didn’t issue shelter-in-places,” Noem said while speaking at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Dallas.

Three children ages 5 to 9 were among the latest victims found in the rubble of last month’s tragic Florida condo building collapse, which has so far left 94 confirmed dead.
Two of the three youngsters identified Sunday are the nieces of Paraguayan first lady Silvana Lopez Moreira: Alexia Maria Pettengill Lopez Moreira, 9, and her 6-year-old sister, Anna Sophia Pettengill Lopez Moreira, police said on Facebook.
Lorenzo De Oliveira Leone, 5, was also among the 10 new victims ID’ed Sunday.
The Paraguayan first lady’s sister, Sophia Lopez Moreira, and her brother-in-law, Luis Pettengill, were found in the ruins earlier, along with their youngest son, 3-year-old Luis Lopez Moreira.
The grim news is the latest blow to grieving relatives who remain housed in a nearby hotel while they wait for victims to be recovered and identified.
