Former President Obama is mocking the “birther” conspiracy theory about him touted for years by President Trump, joking that he was “able to get away with” not being born in the United States.
The 44th president, who was born in Hawaii, is set to appear Monday night on “The Daily Show” to promote his new book, “A Promised Land.”
In a preview clip from the interview with Trevor Noah, the Comedy Central host cracked that Obama’s comical roasts of public figures have led them to make White House bids.
“I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but you have an ability to inspire people to run for the highest office in the land with some of the jokes you tell about them,” Noah told a grinning Obama.
Some pundits have theorized that Obama’s biting remarks at the 2011 White House Correspondents’ Association dinner about Trump, who was a guest there, might have helped motivate the then-real estate developer to run for office.

By Forbes. Rallies were staged across the country Saturday in support of President Trump’s campaign to overturn the election following a crushing Supreme Court loss, with at least two devolving into violent clashes with counter-protesters that left eight hospitalized and dozens arrested.
Thousands of the president’s supporters, including members of militia groups, gathered in cities big and small, rallying outside the capitals of Washington state, Georgia and in the nation’s capital, as well as in smaller towns like the Mobile, Alabama suburb Spanish Fort, where roughly 100 pro-Trump protesters showed up in support of the national “Stop the Steal” movement.

A viral video shows a family being booted from a United Airlines flight because their 2-year-old daughter refused to keep her face mask on.
Eliz Orban said in an Instagram video posted Friday that she, her husband and their toddler were set to fly from Denver into New Jersey’s Newark International Airport when they were ousted from the plane over the coronavirus precaution.
“We just got kicked off the flight because our 2-year-old would not put on a mask, and we tried,” said a teary Orban in the video.
Orban also posted footage from the flight of her husband trying to loop the mask’s straps over the ears of the squirming tot, who was having none of it.
“Come here, you have to put this on,” Orban’s husband coaxed in vain, as the little girl covered her mouth with her hands. “You have to.”

Radical leftists erected warzone-syle barricades to block Portland, Oregon, police from enforcing an eviction order on the occupants of what is known as “the Red House on Mississippi.” The barricade is at least three blocks wide and in some places consists of a six-layer fence and barricade.
Earlier this week, protesters repelled Portland police officers to came out to assist the local sheriff’s office in serving a legal eviction order on a foreclosed house. As officers arrived, protesters fought back violently and repelled the officers, Breitbart News reported.
Portland’s Democrat Mayor Ted Wheeler, recently re-elected in a runoff election, promised to restore order and pledged, “There will be no autonomous zone in Portland.”
Two days later the leftists continued to illegally occupy the newly established autonomous zone and expanded it to its now three-block diameter. Portland Police Bureau Chief Chuck Lovell said his department was aware of a “stockpile of weapons” and the “presence of firearms.” . . .
Despite the threats from the mayor and police chief, leftists continued reinforcing the autonomous zone and erected multi-layer border walls to slow down any police action.
The Food and Drug Administration has approved Pfizer and BioNTech’s coronavirus vaccine for emergency use, a monumental turning point in the once-in-a-century pandemic that has taken nearly 300,000 American lives in less than a year and wreaked havoc on the U.S. economy.
FDA Chief Scientist Denise Hinton told Pfizer in a letter Friday that she was authorizing the emergency use of the company’s vaccine.
President Donald Trump called it a “medical miracle” in a video tweet. “We’ve delivered a safe and effective vaccine in just 9 months,” Trump said. “This is one of the greatest scientific accomplishments in history.”
Dr. Peter Marks, director of the FDA’s Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research, said the decision “holds the promise to alter the course of this pandemic in the United States.”“With science guiding our decision-making, the available safety and effectiveness data support the authorization of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine because the vaccine’s known and potential benefits clearly outweigh its known and potential risks,” he said. Florida state police raided the home of a former data analyst for the Florida Department of Health on Friday, who claims Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) “sent the gestapo” to get her to “shut up.”
Rebekah Jones was fired from her position in the DeSantis administration in May for allegedly modifying the state’s COVID-19 dashboard unilaterally without authorization. She claims the state was misleading citizens on the coronavirus numbers, and now she runs her own COVID-19 tracking sites from her house. . .
Jones tweeted Friday that state police served a warrant at her home that morning and seized property, claiming that officers “pointed a gun in [her] face” and “pointed guns at [her] kids.”
1/ There will be no update today.
At 8:30 am this morning, state police came into my house and took all my hardware and tech.
They were serving a warrant on my computer after DOH filed a complaint.
She posted accompanying video showing the purported scene from inside her home as police entered. Armed officers can be seen walking through the hallway, and pointing their firearms upward as they called for Jones’ husband to come down the stairs. Neither Jones’ husband nor the couples’ children are seen in the footage.
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement confirmed in a statement that they served a warrant on Rebekah Jones’ residence, saying that they had been investigating a complaint from the Florida Department of Health that someone had “illegally hacked into their emergency alert system.” (Read more from “Cops Raid Home of Fired Data Analyst Who Revealed State Was Misleading Citizens on COVID” HERE)

Georgia Democratic Senate candidate Raphael Warnock repeatedly disrupted a 2002 police investigation into child abuse at a church-affiliated summer camp, interfering with interviews and discouraging counselors from speaking with investigators, according to two Maryland State Police reports obtained by the Washington Free Beacon.
The records indicate that Warnock, who was at the time senior pastor of the church that operated the camp, insisted that the camp’s attorneys be present. While police said the counselors themselves were free to request an attorney, Warnock could not do so on their behalf.
Warnock went on to disrupt the interviews on July 31, 2002: “This investigator informed [camp administrators] that if the counselors requested that an attorney be present that was their right, however, no one else could [invoke] their rights to an attorney on their behalf,” the report reads.
While the names in the documents are blacked out, the reports track closely with contemporaneous newspaper articles about the incident, which led to Warnock’s arrest. The charges were ultimately dropped by the state attorney. The Baltimore Sun reported on Aug. 3, 2002, that Warnock and a colleague were “accused in court documents of trying to prevent a state trooper of interviewing counselors at Camp Farthest Out” and that the ministers “interrupted a police interview of a counselor.” Warnock told the paper that he was “only asserting that lawyers should be present when the camp counselors were interviewed.”

USA Today Mocked After ‘Fact Check’ Claims Calling Out Dems for COVID Hypocrisy Is ‘Missing Context’
By Fox News. USA Today was once again mocked Wednesday over another so-called “fact check,” this time for their scrutiny of a claim calling out Democratic leaders for their apparent coronavirus hypocrisy.
On Tuesday, USA Today outlined the claim that “[s]everal Democratic politicians urge social distancing and issuing stay-at-home advisories but host or attend gatherings,” which stemmed from a viral Facebook post from the group Occupy Democrats Logic.
The post, which has since been taken down, included a screenshot of a Nov. 13 tweet from conservative commentator Liz Wheeler, who called out California Gov. Gavin Newsom, Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot, and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., for flouting CDC guidelines over the past several weeks. . .
CA Gov Newsom bans gatherings of 10+ people… but attends party with dozens of people.
Mayor Lightfoot locks down Chicago again… but celebrates Biden with crowds in streets.
Pelosi hosts giant reception… while you’re not allowed.
The fact check acknowledges that there was “some truth” to the claims, confirming that Newsom did in fact attend a dinner party at the French Laundry in Napa County and Lightfoot similarly addressed a pro-Biden celebration on the streets of Chicago.
However, the paper pointed out that both Pelosi and the House GOP had planned a dinner for new members of Congress before scrapping those plans. The fact check, however, does not mention Pelosi’s infamous trip to a shuttered San Francisco hair salon without wearing a mask, which was first reported by Fox News.

McEnany Hits Democratic Leaders for Not Following Their Own COVID-19 Restrictions
By The Hill. White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany on Wednesday admonished Democratic leaders who have sparked controversy after being seen in public despite health restrictions several of them implemented or supported in response to the coronavirus pandemic.
“Behind me you will see images of Democrat hypocrisy playing on loop,” McEnany told reporters during a press briefing.
The press secretary played images of California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) eating at an indoor restaurant last week, Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot (D) celebrating President-elect Joe Biden’s victory last month in what McEnany called “maskless streets” and Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) visiting a California hair salon earlier this summer while they were closed by local health officials.
“Quite clearly, these Democrats do not follow their own edicts,” she said. “They act in a way their own citizens are barred from acting.”

A group of armed demonstrators protested the results of the 2020 election in front of the home of Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson Saturday.
The group shouted with bullhorns and held signs during the evening protest, where individuals contested the results of the race between President-elect Joe Biden and President Donald Trump, according to video. Genevieve Peters, who took the footage while donning a “Trump 2020” snow hat, called the election “bull****,” before police eventually arrived at the scene, the video showed.
“We are over here in the fricking dead of night, man,” Peters said, according to the Washington Examiner. “We are letting her know that we’re not taking this bull**** election, we are not standing down, we are not giving up. You are not going to take this election from a man that has earned it completely 100% by a freaking landslide. Let me tell you: This ain’t over.”

Actors Matthew McConaughey and Russell Brand are fed up with elites who look down on the similar minded people in each of their countries who voted for President Trump and for Brexit, the UK’s split from the European Union.
“I have sensed a lot of condemnation and criticism of what I might describe as ordinary working people, a kind of offhandedness, like, ‘oh they’re dumb, they’re voting for Brexit, they’re voting for Trump,'” Brand recently remarked on his podcast. “I don’t like it. I don’t like to hear it. Because of my own experiences and my own upbringing.”
“I’ve spent enough time with people that are being described in this manner to feel ill at ease about it,” he added.
There must be a way for liberal professionals and ordinary working people to find common ground, Brand asked his guest.
“That’s my hope,” McConaughey agreed, before also sounding off on leftists who think they’re better than Trump voters.
