Heartwarming Rescue Amid Los Angeles Wildfires: Man Saves Injured Dog in Devastated Neighborhood

In the wake of the recent wildfires that ravaged the Los Angeles area, a touching act of compassion has captured the hearts of many. Rick Miller, a local man, was checking on a friend’s home in Altadena when he encountered a heart-wrenching sight: an injured stray dog in desperate need of help.

The devastating fires, particularly the Eaton Fire, have wreaked havoc on the Altadena community, claiming lives and destroying homes. Amid the destruction, Miller’s quick thinking and heartfelt actions gave one animal a chance at survival. After spotting the injured dog, Miller immediately sprang into action, covering the canine with a blanket and rallying those around him to transport the animal to the Pasadena Humane Society for further care.

“It’s about caring for each other, and like everyone needs help right now,” Miller shared in an emotional video posted by CNN. “Sorry for crying, but it’s really emotional seeing my friends lose their houses and people losing their animals. We try to help each other out.” His voice cracked with emotion as he explained how the fire had devastated the community, and his determination to do what he could for both his human and animal neighbors.

The dog, visibly relieved to receive help, was gently cared for as Miller and his group worked tirelessly to ensure its safety. Miller’s words resonated with viewers: “Fortunately, our house was saved, but our friends right across the street, their house is gone. That’s why you just wanna help your friends out, help your families out, help the animals out.”

As the Pasadena Humane Society works around the clock to care for animals impacted by the fire, they have taken in over 300 animals, including dogs, cats, and wildlife. Volunteers and staff are dedicating themselves to helping these creatures recover from the traumatic event, with many animals being evacuated to safety.

Officials: Pacific Palisades Reservoir Was Closed and Empty When Los Angeles Wildfires Erupted

A Pacific Palisades reservoir was closed when wildfires swept through the area and devastated the community, officials told the Los Angeles Times.

The Santa Ynez Reservoir is connected to the Los Angeles water supply system, and authorities said it was shut down for repairs at the time the fires erupted, “leaving a 117 million gallon water storage complex empty in the heart of the Palisades,” the newspaper reported on Friday.

The news comes as people are questioning why firefighters ran out of water as they tried to save structures and communities from the blaze that has wreaked havoc across the Los Angeles area.

“Department of Water and Power [DWP] officials have said that demand for water during an unprecedented fire made it impossible to maintain any pressure to hydrants at high elevations,” the report noted.

Former DWP general manager Martin Adams said if the reservoir had been ready for operation, the water pressure would have reached the Palisades for a time but would not have fixed the issue entirely.

Here Are All The Ways DEI-Crazed Officials Made The LA Fire More Deadly

As relentless fires burn in Los Angeles, thousands of residents who fled their homes are just learning how poorly public officials prepared for such an event. Emergency response leaders following bad public policy have been too focused on sending firefighting equipment to Ukraine, keeping the homeless safe, protecting fish, and adopting green policies to focus on things like making sure there is enough water to feed fire hydrants and guaranteeing that the strongest, best-trained, most-skilled firefighters are leading operations.

Officials seem to believe that when fire forces you to flee your home, there is just one thing on your mind: the skin color and cultural experience of the firefighters who will bring you to safety. Will they be diverse enough to rescue you? Never mind if they are the best for the job, are they anything but straight white men?

That has been a major priority of the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD), which, in 2022, launched its Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Bureau (DEI), purportedly “focused on ensuring a safe, diverse and inclusive workplace for all.”

In January 2022, then-Mayor Eric Garcetti checked multiple DEI boxes by appointing Kristin Crowley as fire chief, the first female, LGBT chief in Los Angeles. That year, according to LAFD data, “of the more than 6,500 applicants to LAFD, 70% were people of color and nearly 8% … were female,” which was “double the … percentage of female firefighters within the Department” at the time.

The LAFD Girls Camp is one avenue for recruitment for female firefighters, hosting girls between 14 and 18 to explore career opportunities in the department.

Joe Biden at Press Briefing on LA Fires: ‘The Good News Is, I’m a Great-Grandfather!’

President Joe Biden took the time to announce some personal “good news” to reporters during an awkward press briefing with California Gov. Gavin Newsom on the Los Angeles wildfires, saying, “I’m a great-grandfather!”

While standing next to Newsom to update the nation on the status of the multiple devastating fires that began on Tuesday evening, Biden made a sudden pivot to an announcement about his family:

“The good news is, I’m a great-grandfather as of today,” the 82-year-old president said during the briefing, held at a firehouse in Santa Monica, Los Angeles County.

“I’ll remember this day for a lot of reasons,” he added, before leaving without answering any questions from reporters.

Biden Was Asked About Raging Inferno at Briefing — Shares Personal Detail Instead

President Biden on Wednesday made some brief and off-topic remarks after meeting with firefighting officials about the fierce wildfires raging in the Los Angeles area.

“We’re prepared to do anything and everything as long as it takes to contain these fires and help reconstruct, make sure that we can get back to normal,” Biden, who was there to sign a disaster declaration alongside California Gov. Gavin Newsom, said.

“It’s gonna be a hell of a long way. It’s gonna take time. But the government is here to stay, as long as you need us. Give everything you need. Anything you asked and haven’t gotten yet?” he continued. . .

Biden then took the meeting in an unexpected direction, announcing that he had become a great-grandfather and celebrating the birth of his eldest granddaughter’s first child.

“The good news is I’m a great-grandfather as of today,” Biden said before declining questions from reporters. (Read more from “Biden Was Asked About Raging Inferno at Briefing — Shares Personal Detail Instead” HERE)

WATCH: American Airlines Passenger Confronts Flight Attendant Over ‘Hate Pin’

A Jewish passenger boarding an American Airlines flight in Miami encountered an unexpected situation when he noticed one of the flight attendants wearing a watermelon pin, a symbol that has become widely recognized as representing pro-Palestinian solidarity. The passenger subsequently documented the incident and shared it on his Instagram account, providing a detailed account of what transpired.

“The flight attendants became visibly upset and informed me that my act of filming them constituted a legal violation. They prevented me from disembarking and insisted that I remove the video footage, which I refused to do,” according to Israel Hayom.

The situation was eventually resolved when law-enforcement officers arrived at the scene and directed the flight attendants to permit the passenger to leave the aircraft. (Read more from “WATCH: American Airlines Passenger Confronts Flight Attendant Over ‘Hate Pin’” HERE)

Video Shows Kamala Harris Forced To Relive Election Loss As Fellow Democrats Read Off Every Swing State Loss

As she certified the 2024 election, Vice President Kamala Harris was forced to listen to the results of her loss Monday in front of her fellow Democrats in Congress.

Congress convened Monday to certify the election results by its deadline, Jan. 6, 2025. The members of Congress voted to certify the election with no objections raised and Harris presided over the day as it is a role of the vice president’s office.

Monday’s electoral college vote was 312-226. Before certifying the election, Harris listened to the election results of every state, including those she lost to Trump. The now president-elect defeated Harris in a landslide, taking all of the swing states. North Carolina and Georgia were the first two swing states called, erasing the Sun Belt path to victory for Harris by 11 p.m.

Revealed: The Deep State’s Sabotage Plan That Trump Needs to Defeat (VIDEO)

If you look up the “deep state,” you’ll find that it’s still labeled as a political conspiracy theory.

“What deep state? How dare you say there’s a deep state!” mocks Glenn Beck, mimicking the mainstream media and certain government officials, who have repeatedly denied the existence of such a nefarious network.

But now a Democrat from North Carolina is advocating for the creation of a deep state to fight Trump in his second term.

Glenn plays a clip of Congressman Wiley Nickel (D-N.C.), who he calls “the moron from North Carolina,” arguing that Democrats need to form the U.S. version of Britain’s shadow government to oppose Trump.

“As Democrats, we simply failed to convince the American people we have better ideas to solve their problems, but we do. Now, we need to dust ourselves off and get ready to fight,” Nickel began. “We can’t let Donald Trump’s extreme MAGA agenda go unanswered or unopposed. Zone defense isn’t going to work. We’re going to have to go man-on-man, so here’s an idea for how to organize our opposition: We need to borrow from our British friends and appoint a shadow cabinet to fight back against the worst abuses of a second Trump administration.” (Read more from “Revealed: The Deep State’s Sabotage Plan That Trump Needs to Defeat (VIDEO)” HERE)

Biden Curses At Reporters Amid Bizarre Rant About Immigrants

President Joe Biden lashed out on reporters Sunday evening while rambling about his administration, the border crisis and President-elect Donald Trump.

“Is white supremacy still the biggest threat to the United States?” one reporter asked Biden after signing the Social Security Fairness Act into law.

“One of the many threats — look, any kind of [inaudible] of supremacy is a threat to United States. Look, we are the most extensive, multicultural nation in the world. It’s the reason why we’re so strong. It’s the reason why we’re who we are. It’s not a problem. It’s not — it’s not in spite of — I mean, you know, we go all the way back, every major flow of immigrants, from my Irish ancestors in the 1840s to people the Italians came in the turn of the century. I mean, this has been — it’s who we are, and we are so connected to the rest of the world. Everywhere I go, [the] rest of the world gets it,” the president began in response to the question.

Biden then pivoted to talking about the border and his control of the migrant crisis.

“When I became president, the numbers came way down, number one. Number two, we had a circumstance where I pushed very hard for bipartisan agreement to put more people on the border, more, more secret service agent[s], and guess what? He’s on the phone saying, ‘Don’t do it. Don’t do it, [it will] make me look bad. That bill, that bill is ridiculous. It’s ridiculous,’” he continued.

‘Couldn’t Take It Anymore’: Former FBI Agent Slams Agency’s Qualification Standards Under ‘Political Left’s’ Influence

Former FBI agent Jonathan Gilliam said Thursday on Newsmax that he was disappointed with the agency’s operational standards, and he also said political influences have warped recruitment and qualifications.

During an appearance on Newsmax’s “Carl Higbie: Frontline,” Gilliam said he was frustrated over the agency’s failure to adapt to modern challenges. He also said that a lack of innovative thinking is a critical flaw in the FBI’s approach.

“That’s the way they’ve been doing that for a long time, ever since I was in the bureau, back in 2005, all the way back to there. When I got out in 2013, I couldn’t take it anymore,” Gilliam told Carl Higbie when asked why the agency was looking at all the wrong places. “I mean, the reality is they, just like down in New Orleans, a perfect example of what you saw down there, is that the bureau doesn’t think outside the box.”

Gilliam said that the FBI has been under the influence of political ideologies, particularly from the left, which he said have permeated the agency.
