Democratic Law Professor: It Is Wrong to Impeach Trump Just Because You’re All Mad (VIDEO)

Speaking during a House Judiciary Committee hearing Wednesday morning, George Washington University Law Professor Jonathan Turley called out Democrats and fellow members of the panel for moving forward with impeachment because “everyone is mad.”

“I get it. You’re mad. The president’s mad. My Republican friends are mad. My Democratic friends are mad. My wife is mad. My kids are mad. Even my dog seems mad and Luna is a golden-doodle and they don’t get mad. So, we’re all mad. Where has it taken us? Will a slipshod impeachment make us less mad or will it only give an invitation for the madness to follow in every future administration? That is why this is wrong…it’s wrong because this is not how you impeach an American president,” Turley argued, adding that the evidence Democrats are using is severely lacking, the process is rushed and that a number of witnesses haven’t been subpoenaed.

“I am concerned about lowering impeachment standards to fit a paucity of evidence and an abundance of anger. If the House proceeds solely on the Ukrainian allegations, this impeachment would stand out among modern impeachments as the shortest proceeding, with the thinnest evidentiary record, and the narrowest grounds ever used to impeach a president. That does not bode well for future presidents who are working in a country often sharply and, at times, bitterly divided,” he said.

WATCH: Child Asks 2020 Dem If She’ll End Global Warming. Her Answer Is Both Arrogant and a Child’s Worst Nightmare.

On Monday night, speaking at a rally at the University of Iowa, Senator Elizabeth Warren was asked by a child during the Q&A if she would end global warming if she were elected president. Without a shred of humility, Warren answered, “Yes.”

Warren’s arrogance could easily remind someone of another candidate who once promised that his presidency would change the climate of the planet Earth:

Warren continued by feeding the child’s worst nightmare: “You know, Eleanor, that is a big commitment because we’re in real trouble. You know this, right? That climate change threatens every living thing on this planet. And for me, the scariest thing that happens now is that every time scientists go back and recalculate the data, put in more information, it’s worse than we thought. The problem’s bigger; it’s moving faster and we have less time to respond.”

Watch: Christian University Speaker Tells Students to Hide Illegal Aliens in Churches

A guest speaker at Andrews University, a Seventh-day Adventist school in Michigan, urged students to harbor illegal aliens in their churches because U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement does not usually raid churches, Campus Reform reported.

“People are being hurt right now across this country,” James Standish, the event’s speaker, said. “Many of them are our brothers and they’re our sisters. And we stand by with our churches empty when they could be sanctuary sanctuaries.” . . .

Standish was speaking at a semi-required “University Forum” event that is part of the co-curricular requirements for students at the school. While the specific event was not mandatory, it was part of a series of events that count towards fulfilling the requirement. . .

During the speech, Standish claimed that a church entity asked him to research ICE policy after some of their members were deported, and in his research, he discovered that that “except in unusual circumstances, ICE will not raid a church.”

The policy he is referring to was a created in 2011 under the Obama administration — and still remains under the Trump administration — that classifies certain areas, such as schools and churches, as “sensitive locations.” In these locations, barring exigent circumstances, ICE will not conduct “arrests, interviews, searches, or surveillance.” (Read more from “Watch: Christian University Speaker Tells Students to Hide Illegal Aliens in Churches” HERE)

Biden Described Allowing Children to Play With His Wet Leg Hair in Resurfaced Clip

By Daily Caller. Former Vice President Joe Biden said in a 2017 speech he allowed children to play with his wet leg hair as a lifeguard, according to resurfaced video footage.

The former vice president spoke on June 26, 2017 at the Joseph R. Biden Jr. Aquatic Center dedication in Delaware, according to a video WITN Channel 22 posted Sept. 17. The video shows Biden, surrounded by children, detailing the lessons he learned from the black community in the area surrounding the aquatic center.

Biden also described allowing children to rub his blonde leg hair while it was wet when he worked as a lifeguard.

“I got a lot of — I got hairy legs that turn … blonde in the sun,” Biden said. “And the kids used to come up and reach in the pool and rub my leg down so it was straight and then watch the hair come back up again. They’d look at it.”

WATCH: NRA Asked Anti-Gunners the Name of the SCOTUS Case They Were Protesting

Earlier today, the Supreme Court of the United States heard its first Second Amendment case in nearly a decade. The case, known as New York State Rifle & Pistol Association v. New York City, challenges the City’s ban on carrying legal, locked and unloaded firearms outside of city limits.

All eyes have been on this case because it’s unclear whether or not the justices will make a decision in the case or drop it because of mootness. New York City knew their ban was wrong so they revoked it. Gun rights advocates, however, want the Supreme Court to rule in the case. Their concern is that if SCOTUS drops the case that the City can reimplement the ban. Out of that very concern, Chief Justice John Roberts quizzed the City’s attorney on that issue, the Washington Times reported.

Gun control has been a major issue in our country lately so it’s no surprise that Everytown for Gun Safety and Moms Demand Action volunteers – you know, the group funded by billionaire Michael Bloomberg, the same guy that’s running for president – decided to show up outside the Court with signs.

It’s almost as though they were bussed in for the event, given signs and told to stand there and look angry. The National Rifle Association’s social media team asked anti-gunners the name of the case and what the case was about and none of them seemed to know. Shocker, right?

“The name of the case, I don’t know,” one man said. “Actually, frankly speaking, I did not read. I was recruited here to represent my grandchildren.”

Does Elizabeth Warren Really Think She Can Get Rid of the Electoral College Before 2024?

The Electoral College has been one of Democrats’ favorite punching bags ever since Donald Trump was elected in 2016, and one of his 2020 opponents thinks she can be the last president ever elected by it.

In a social media video posted Sunday night, 2020 Democratic hopeful Sen. Elizabeth Warren, Mass., said that it is her goal to get rid of the Electoral College during her first term in office.

“My goal is to get elected, and then to be the last American president elected by the Electoral College,” Warren tells applauding supporters in the video. “I want the second term to be that I got elected by direct vote,” she continued before correcting to “popular vote.”

“I just think this is how a democracy should work,” the candidate explained. “Call me old-fashioned, but I think the person who gets the most votes should win.”

The Electoral College system is designed so that the president is chosen by groups of electors from every state. A state’s electoral votes are equal to its number of House members plus its two senators. This is how it balances the concerns of more populous states that get more House members with less populous states whose interests are more strongly represented in the Senate, where representation is fixed. “The Electoral College makes it even harder to win the presidency,” Save Our States project director Trent England explained in May. “It requires geographic balance and helps protect Americans who might otherwise have their voices ignored.”

This means that a president can win the popular vote without winning enough votes in enough states to get a majority of electors, which is what happened to failed candidate Hillary Clinton in 2016 and is the chief cause of Democrats’ current desire to end the institution. Prior to that, Al Gore’s 2000 loss to George W. Bush spurred calls to switch to a popular vote system. The movement is also supported by some Republicans such as former RNC Chairman Michael Steele and former Michigan Republican Party Chair Saul Anuzis.

Warren is far from unique in her desire to get rid of the Electoral College, but her proposed timeline for doing so is really questionable. Eliminating the practice of using electors to pick the president would require an amendment to the Constitution, and those don’t come easily at all.

Perhaps the most obvious hurdle is that the constitutional amendment process — just like the process of electing a president — also has built-in safeguards to ensure that highly populated states can’t run roughshod over the other ones. In essence, to even be proposed, an amendment either needs the support of two-thirds of the Senate or two-thirds of state legislatures, and then it needs three-fourths of the state legislatures’ approval for ratification, regardless of how it’s proposed. This means that, in order to kill the Electoral College via amendment, a sizable number of representatives from states where voters’ interests are better protected by the Electoral College than by the popular vote would have to be convinced to vote against those interests.

And that would be incredibly difficult— if even possible — to pull off, whether the deadline is set at four years or 400.

But constitutional improbability isn’t the end of the popular vote discussion. There’s also a state-by-state movement to undermine the Electoral College system by assigning electors to whichever candidate wins the national popular vote. Recently, New Mexico became the 14th state to join the effort. In June, Oregon also joined the effort, which brought the total elector count to 196.

Editor’s note: This article has been updated to include the information about the state-by-state movement to assign electoral votes to the winner of the national popular vote and more information about the support for a popular vote system.

WATCH: Ohio State Football Star Spared by Abortion, Announcer Details

Record-breaking Ohio State running back J.K. Dobbins is reportedly known to his mother as her “miracle baby,” said Fox Sports announcer Gus Johnson on Saturday. Dobbins’ mother became pregnant with him when she was 18 years old and contemplated having an abortion, Johnson outlined, but ultimately chose life.

“J.K. Dobbins’ mom, Mya, became pregnant when she was 18 years old,” the announcer detailed. “She went to the doctor because she was thinking about aborting the baby, but changed her mind.” . . .

Dobbins had an impressive showing on Saturday against the Michigan Wolverines; the running back became the number two all-time leader in rushing yards in Ohio State history.

“The Wolverines couldn’t figure out how to consistently contain [Dobbins] — despite even taking off one of his shoes mid-game — and once he broke away from defenders, he was gone,” For The Win reported, according to Live Action. “With his standout performance in the regular-season finale, he reminded the college football world why he’s a Heisman Trophy candidate (albeit an outside one in a very crowd field that includes two of his teammates).”

Dobbins finished the game with “31 carries for a career-high 211 yards and four touchdowns, while adding two catches for 49 yards,” the report added.

WATCH: Pete Buttigieg Agrees When Leftist Pastor Says Illegal Aliens Are ‘Coming Back to Land We Stole’

Democratic presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg nodded in agreement with a leftist pastor who said Mexican illegal immigrants are “coming back to land we stole.”

The Rev. William Barber hosted Buttigieg at Greenleaf Christian Church in Goldsboro, North Carolina, where a Q&A session followed Sunday services, the Associated Press said. . .

“Let me ask you a couple quick rapid-fire [questions],” Barber began. “Do you think we need to also stop allowing forces to demonize ‘people who are trying to get their immigration status,’ and we start lifting up all the ways they benefit this country? The money in Social Security, the taxes they pay—” . . .

“And we need to talk about that,” Barber noted before saying, “We call people ‘illegal aliens’ and all these things that are not human and certainly not Christian. Why can’t we just own in America that some of the people that are trying to come from Mexico here are coming back to land we stole?”

With that, Buttigieg sat up in his seat, made an expression as if he was given a shot of truth, then nodded his head as the audience applauded. (Read more from “Pete Buttigieg Agrees When Leftist Pastor Says Illegal Aliens Are ‘Coming Back to Land We Stole'” HERE)

WATCH: After These Remarks About the Trump Impeachment Circus, Does This Mean House Democrats Are Russian Agents?

Rep. Debbie Dingell (D-MI) is one of the few Democrats who aren’t insane. Yes, that club has lost a lot of members since 2016. She’s still a liberal Democrat, but she’s not nuts. She has noted how identity politics has hijacked her party. She hates it when people generalize all Trump supporters as racist. And she warned her party in 2016 that the Clinton campaign was ignoring the Rust Belt, and her state, at their peril. Now, she’s observing that the overtly partisan public impeachment hearings are pretty much accomplishing what Russia wants with this circus: division. And it’s the Democrats leading that charge because…‘orange man, bad.’

Fox Business host Charles Payne interviewed Dingell where he commented on how a partisan impeachment push is accomplishing things Russia has only dreamed of concerning sowing division in Washington.

“I think some of this has probably been caused by some of the actions that they’ve taken,” replied Dingell.

Is that a subtle shot at Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA)? Schiff is the chair of the House Intelligence Committee who held the first series of public hearings that really didn’t do much. The needle hasn’t moved in impeachment. It’s still unpopular in battleground states. No one watched it. No one cared. And the witnesses were pretty much career bureaucrats who were huffy because they disagreed with Trump on Ukraine policy.

Yeah, the hill Democrats are willing to die on is that the president tried to shake down the Ukrainians in a July phone call, where Trump threatened to withhold military aid unless a corruption probe was opened into Hunter Biden’s position at Burisma. Aid was never withheld. In fact, Trump’s Ukraine policy has teeth unlike Obama, who refused to dole out military aid out of fear of hurting Putin’s feelings.

During these hearings, it was revealed that the president could legally put a hold on aid. This is shoddier and more pathetic than the Russian collusion narrative that turned out to be a total myth. Ronan Farrow: People like Hillary Clinton Turn When You Threaten Their ‘Sources of Funding’ (VIDEO)

Ronan Farrow says twice-failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton iced him out upon learning of his investigation into the accusations of sexual assault against Harvey Weinstein, noting how people will turn “if you threaten the centers of power or the sources of funding around them.”

The Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Ronan Farrow told the Financial Times that Clinton slowly iced him out upon learning of his investigation into Weinstein, a Clinton ally and major Clinton Foundation donor. Weinstein also donated to groups that supported Clinton’s failed presidential bid.

“It’s remarkable how quickly even people with a long relationship with you will turn if you threaten the centers of power or the sources of funding around them,” Farrow, who worked for Clinton for “years,” told the publication.

“Ultimately, there are a lot of people out there who operate in that way. They’re beholden to powerful interests and if you go up against those interests, you become radioactive very quickly,” Farrow added.

Farrow spoke to Fox News last month to discuss his book Catch and Kill and described how Clinton and her aides backed away from him after finding out that he was “working on this story about one of her most significant donors, a big bundler of Hollywood money.”
