GOP Congressman Accuses Schiff of Abusing His Power During Impeachment Hearings

By Washington Examiner. Rep. Mike Conaway accused House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff of abusing his power during one of the impeachment hearings held Thursday on Capitol Hill.

Conaway, a Texas Republican, became frustrated with Schiff after the California Democrat attempted to cut him off during questioning.

“Mr. Conaway, your time is expired,” Schiff told Conaway before telling the witness, David Holmes, “You were cut off when you were talking about Mr. Sondland’s indiscretion. Did you want to finish that answer?”

“Mr. Chairman, that’s patently unfair. As is this entire investigation,” Conaway shot back. Schiff said Conaway had repeatedly cut off witnesses before, a comment that elicited a furious response from the Texas Republican.

WATCH: Biden Is Visibly Upset After Being Asked About Son’s Affair

Democrat presidential candidate Joe Biden became visibly annoyed with a reporter on Thursday who asked him about the news story that broke yesterday that his son, Hunter Biden, fathered a child with a woman in Arkansas while Hunter Biden was dating his brother’s widow.

Fox News’ Peter Doocy asked Biden, “Do you have a comment on this report and court filing out of Arkansas that your son Hunter just made you a grandfather?”

“No, that’s a private matter, I have no comment,” Biden responded.

Biden then showed that the question annoyed him, adding, “But only you would ask that. You’re a good man. You’re a good man. Classy.”

Mother Has Chilling Reason for Killing Three INFANT Sons (VIDEO)

A judge sentenced Ohio mother Brittany Renee Pilkington to 37 years in prison after killing her three infant sons.

Pilkington, 27, reportedly killed the children because she feared they would grow up to abuse women.

According to the Daily Mail, Pilkington was impregnated by her mother’s 47-year-old boyfriend when she was just 17 years old. The two later married. He pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor sex charge in 2016, which stemmed from his relationship with Pilkington that took place when she was underage.

Pilkington pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter and murder charges on Tuesday after she suffocated her three sons — ages 3 months to 4 years — in July 2014, April 2015 and August 2015, respectively, over a 13-month period.

She told authorities that she feared the boys would grow up and abuse women. Her lawyers insisted that she is brain damaged and had been abused, both physically and sexually, throughout her life. Kort Gatterdam, one of Pilkington’s attorneys, said that his client suffered from lead poisoning as a child. A doctor’s exam confirmed Pilkington’s brain damage.

‘Never Happened’: Mike Pence Contradicts Sondland Testimony (VIDEO)

Representatives for Vice President Mike Pence and Secretary of Energy Rick Perry disputed testimony given to House investigators by Ambassador Gordon Sondland on Wednesday as part of the House’s ongoing impeachment efforts.

In his opening statement, Sondland said that he told Pence about his concerns that a delay in U.S. military aid had become tied to “the issue of investigations.” This would have been before Pence was scheduled to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Warsaw, Poland.

“There was a September 1 meeting with President Zelensky in Warsaw,” the statement reads. “Unfortunately President Trump’s attendance at the Warsaw meeting was cancelled due to Hurrican[e]Dorian. Vice President Pence attended instead. I mentioned to Vice President Pence before the meetings with the Ukrainians that I had concerns that the delay in aid had become tied to the issue of investigations.”

He was also asked about the interaction later in the hearing.

However, Vice President Pence’s chief of staff, Marc Short, said that discussion simply didn’t happen.

“The Vice President never had a conversation with Gordon Sondland about investigating the Bidens, Burisma, or the conditional release of financial aid to Ukraine based upon potential investigations,” Short said in a statement. “Ambassador Gordon Sondland was never alone with Vice President Pence on the September 1 trip to Poland. This alleged discussion recalled by Ambassador Sondland never happened.”

At another point during the his opening statement, Sondland claimed that he, Ambassador Kurt Volker, and Energy Secretary Rick Perry were all in communication with President Trump’s personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani over the course of “several months” and “worked with Mr. Rudy Giuliani on Ukraine matters at the express direction of the President of the United States.”

A Department of Energy spokesperson, however, said that “Ambassador Sondland’s testimony today misrepresented both Secretary Perry’s interaction with Rudy Giuliani and direction the Secretary received from President Trump.”

The disparity between accounts comes as Sondland’s spotty recollection of events related to the Ukraine matter came into question in other ways during Wednesday’s hearing. At one point, he blamed part of his difficulty in reconstructing events on the fact that he is “not a note-taker or a memo-writer.” Republican counsel Steve Castor later critiqued the witness’ lack of notes, records, and recollection as a “the trifecta of unreliability.” Sondland responded that his recollections had been “refreshed by subsequent testimony, by some texts and emails that I’ve now had access to.”

‘Christmas Ornaments, Drywall, and Jeffrey Epstein…Three Things That Don’t Hang Themselves’: Senator Demands Answers (VIDEO)

Sen. John Kennedy (R-La.) said Tuesday that the American people deserve answers about the circumstances surrounding the death of billionaire sex offender Jeffrey Epstein while detained in a federal prison, and used a joke about “things that don’t hang themselves” to make his point.

Speaking to Federal Bureau of Prisons Director Kathleen Sawyer during a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing, Kennedy said, “How can I put this…Christmas ornaments, drywall, and Jeffrey Epstein — name three things that don’t hang themselves. That’s what the American people think.” . . .

Kennedy acknowledged that Sawyer was not in charge of the investigation into Epstein’s death, but asked her to pass along “a very respectful message” to “tell the American people what happened.”

The Washington Examiner reported that “belief that Epstein was murdered has become a cultural phenomenon which is partly a meme and partly based in real skepticism.” Jokes and memes claiming “Epstein didn’t kill himself” have spread like wildfire since the convicted pedophile’s jailcell death in August, as questions remain unanswered about how the well-connected financier could have taken his own life as such a high-profile prisoner.

Last week, Epstein’s brother, Mark Epstein, told the Miami Herald that after reading the reports by two renowned forensic pathologists he hired to observe his brother’s autopsy, he believes his brother was murdered. 7 Key Moments from Alexander Vindman’s Public Impeachment Testimony

As part of the ongoing impeachment effort against President Donald Trump, the House Intelligence Committee heard public testimony from Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman, a National Security Council staffer and one of the Democrats’ star witnesses.

Here are some of the key moments from Vindman’s Tuesday public testimony:

At one point, Democratic counsel Daniel Goldman — whose background as an anti-Trump NBC pundit is detailed here — appeared to imply that it’s the president’s job to follow the foreign policy lead given to him by the unelected people working under him. He asked about talking points Vindman prepared for the July 25 phone call between President Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Vindman clarified, “The president can choose to use the talking points or not. He’s the president.”

Despite the fact that his job is to handle Ukraine policy, Vindman appeared really uninformed when it came to the relationship between one of the country’s energy companies and the son of former Vice President Joe Biden, Hunter. He also said that the younger Biden “didn’t seem to be” qualified to sit on the company’s board, but “I don’t know his qualifications.”

Vindman — who testified that the publicly released call transcript was “accurate” — said that he heard the word “Burisma” mentioned on the call. He explained that, even though it wasn’t on the transcript, that the word’s absence was “not a significant omission” since it was mentioned as “the company” anyway. This admission serves to bolster the anti-impeachment position that the American people have had access to an accurate, public transcript of the July 25 phone call that they can read for themselves, regardless of what opinions some in the foreign policy world might hold.

The White House is sticking to its guns on the position that the claims here are more about policy disagreements than anything legitimately impeachable. “The President is in charge of setting the foreign policy of the United States, not unelected bureaucrats,” the White House said in a Tuesday statement. “The president has every right to conduct American foreign policy in whatever way he sees fit and is not in any way obligated to follow bureaucratic talking points written by staff.”

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff, D-Calif., really doesn’t want Republicans to find out whom Vindman told about the July 25 phone call outside the White House. During questions from both Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, and committee ranking member Devin Nunes, R-Calif., about whom Vindman told about the phone call, Adam Schiff felt the need to remind lawmakers not to try to out the identity of the federal employee whose whistleblower complaint started the current impeachment effort, giving the strong impression that Vindman was indeed a source of information contained in the complaint, despite his claim that he doesn’t know who the individual is.

There’s been a great deal of discussion about why Vindman didn’t raise his concerns about the July 25 phone call with his supervisor, Tim Morrison. When asked why he didn’t go to Morrison on the matter, he said that he was instructed by National Security Council legal adviser John Eisenberg not to discuss the matter with anyone else after he had already talked to other people about it and tried, unsuccessfully, to talk to Morrison.

At one point, Vindman corrected Ranking Member Nunes for calling him “Mr. Vindman,” insisting that “it’s Lieutenant Colonel Vindman, please.” He later explained to another member of the committee, “I’m in uniform wearing my military rank; I just thought it was appropriate to stick with that” and cited “attacks” in the press and social media that “marginalized me as a military officer.”

Did This Witness out Himself as the Leaker Who Reached out to the Trump-Ukraine Whistleblower?

Well, the first round of today’s Trump impeachment hearings has concluded. Jennifer Williams, an adviser on Russia to Vice President Mike Pence and Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman, Director for European Affairs for the United States National Security Council. It was nothing all that groundbreaking. It was once again another set of government bureaucrats who disagreed with President Trump on Ukraine policy, leaked it, and are now part of the Democratic Party’s quasi-coup to remove the president based on shoddy quid pro quo allegations. . .

[via The Federalist]

Lt. Colonel Alexander Vindman admitted to the House Intelligence Committee Tuesday to leaking information to the anti-Trump whistleblower at the center of the Democrats’ partisan impeachment proceedings.

“Lietenant Colonel Vindman, did you discuss the July 25 phone call with anyone outside the White House on July 25 or the 26 and if so, with whom?” Republican Rep. Devin Nunes of California inquired.
Yes. I did,” Vindman answered in the affirmative.

When pressed on who Vindman spoke with about the call, Vindman said he spoke with two individuals not in the White House, including Deputy Assistant Secretary George Kent and another individual in the intelligence community that Vindman refused to name before being cut off by Democratic Chairman Adam Schiff.

Teens Storm Elementary School Bus to Attack Children (VIDEO)

Police said that a grade school child was hospitalized in Georgia after a group of teens mobbed a school bus to attack children. . .

More than one grade school student was attacked, but only one was hurt enough to be taken to the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta hospital.

Police later arrested four students for the assault. One was an 18-year-old non-student, another was a high school student, and two were middle school students. . .

WATCH: Things Get Bloody Outside Democratic Event as Trump Supporter Fights Anti-Trump Counterprotesters

A fight broke out between a supporter of President Donald Trump — who was with a group rallying outside a Democratic event in Long Beach, California, Saturday — and a pair of anti-Trump counterprotesters, KABC-TV reported.

About a dozen Trump supporters stood with signs and bullhorns outside the Long Beach Convention Center — where the California Democratic Convention was being held — and chanted “Four more years!” the Long Beach Post reported. . .

Raul Rodriguez Jr. told the paper the two men started “harassing” him and the other Trump supporters. Rodriguez added to the Post that he turned on his bullhorn siren and put it in the other man’s face, and the man grabbed the bullhorn.

But video shows nothing further apparently transpired between the two — and the real battle was about to begin next to them, as a Trump supporter wearing a red, white, and blue top hat and ringing a white cowbell came over and began arguing with another anti-Trump counterprotester. . .

The Post said it’s unclear who initiated the physical fight. Video seems to show the pro-Trump supporter taking a light swipe at the anti-Trump counterprotester with his cowbell before the punching began, but it’s unclear if physical contact occurred before that moment. He Who Denied It: Eric Swalwell Denies Emitting Massive Fart on Live Interview (VIDEO)

Democrats’ efforts to impeach President Donald Trump are going over with the public like a juicy, wet fart.

Seriously. Such wind was broken live on MSNBC on Monday night on the eve of the Democrats’ next round of impeachment hearings on Tuesday, where a Democrat Congressman helping lead the charge for impeachment was being interviewed by a network host. Then, mid-interview, a loud fart broke out on air.

Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) denied Monday evening that it was he who ripped the massive fart live on MSNBC during an interview with Chris Matthews on Hardball.

Meanwhile, Matthews and MSNBC remain silent on whether they are owning up to the blast of flatulence that interrupted the top Democrat’s argument backing House Democrats’ push for the impeachment of President Donald Trump.

During the video, as the fart was being ripped, Swalwell pauses and appears to smirk as he says, “The evidence is un-contradicted that the president used taxpayer dollars…”:
