Watch: Sen. Bernie Sanders Trashed ‘Third World’ Baltimore Years Before Trump Did

. . .Before diving into issues like Sanders’ Medicare-for-all plan, [CNN’s Jake] Tapper asked the senator and 2020 Democratic presidential candidate about President Trump’s recent remarks regarding Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-MD) and the city of Baltimore:

TAPPER: I know you want to talk about issues, but I do also want to talk about what President Trump said about your former colleague in the House Elijah Cummings and his district being “a disgusting rat and rodent infested mess that no human being would want to live in.” What’s your response?

SANDERS: Jake, it’s unbelievable that we have a president of the United States who attacks American cities, who attacks Americans, who attacks somebody who’s a friend of mine. Elijah Cummings is one of the most decent and outstanding members of the House of Representatives. He fights every day to improve life in his community.

. . .

Also on Sunday, the official “Trump War Room” Twitter account released a video from 2015 in which Sen. Sanders disparages West Baltimore:

But anyone who took the walk that we took around this neighborhood would not think you’re in a wealthy nation; you would think that you were in a Third World country. … But today, what we’re talking about is a community in which half of the people don’t have jobs. We’re talking about a community in which there are hundreds of buildings that are uninhabitable. We’re talking about a community where kids are unable to go to schools that are decent.

WATCH: Ridiculous Michael Moore Reveals Who Could ‘Beat Trump’, but They’re Not Running

Liberal filmmaker Michael Moore said Thursday night there is not a single person among the more than two dozen Democratic presidential candidates that inspires the base of the party enough to beat President Trump in 2020.

“We have to have a beloved American running, not a professional politician,” he told “Late Night” host Seth Meyers. “You’ve got to have someone who inspires the base. The base, here, of the Democratic Party, are women, people of color, and young adults between 18-35. That’s 70 percent of who’s going to vote next year.” . . .

“You couldn’t wait to get to the polls… Who are you going to say that about of the 25 that are running? Right now, when you wake up a year from November, ‘I can’t wait to get to the polls so I can vote for… John Hickenlooper!'” he said jokingly. “Or ‘Joe Biden!’ I love Joe Biden… but we gotta win!”

The “safest candidate” in this election is not what will bring victory to the Democrats, he said, and would be a “huge mistake.” A Democratic “version” of Donald Trump is what’s needed, he argued.

“He’s a street fighter. We need a street fighter. That’s the only way you’re going to defeat him,” he said. “You’re going up against a bully.”

WATCH: Jerry Nadler Lies About Mueller’s Testimony, Vows to Pursue Impeachment

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler held a press conference Friday afternoon vowing to continue his pseudo impeachment inquiry into the Trump administration through the August recess.

“We are continuing an investigation of the president’s malfeasances,” Nadler said. “He [Mueller] told us that Donald Trump obstructed justice.” . . .

Nadler is lying about what Mueller said regarding obstruction. Mueller did not say Trump obstructed justice. In fact, he said the opposite.

WATCH: Pro-Life Group to Broadcast Live Abortion Footage on Massive Screen Outside Democratic Debates

On Tuesday and Wednesday, anti-abortion organization Created Equal will park their 12×17 foot JumboTron outside the Democratic debates in Detroit, Michigan.

Rather than use still imagery, Created Equal has decided to feature live abortion footage in order to show attendees the reality of the horrific procedures supported by the candidates.

The Daily Wire spoke with Mark Harrington, founder and president of Created Equal, about the event. Prior to reading further, check out one of the videos that the organization has used in the past:

According to Harrington, while Created Equal has used the 12×17 foot screen before on college campuses and at other events, this is the first time video footage will be used outside of a major Democratic debate. . .

In November 2016, while distributing literature and holding posters featuring images of aborted fetuses on public property outside of a high school in Fort Wayne, Indiana, activists were confronted by principal Carlton Mable. When he realized that he was being filmed, Mable became agitated, and when police arrived, he stated, “To me, I would consider all this pornographic. These pictures – this is pornographic to me.” (Read more from “Pro-Life Group to Broadcast Live Abortion Footage on Massive Screen Outside Democratic Debates” HERE)

Former Federal Prosecutor on Mueller: ‘He Clearly Did Not Run This Investigation’ (VIDEO)

In my initial reactions post yesterday, I described what appeared to be knowledge gaps and cognitive shortcomings on the part of former Special Counsel Robert Mueller. Out of respect for his career of service and patriotism, I somewhat soft-pedaled these points. On my Fox News radio program last evening, however, longtime Assistant United States Attorney Andrew McCarthy was more candid. He said the proceedings made him viscerally sad, stating outright that after watching hours of testimony, he believes the venerable lawman was not in control of the investigation that bore his name:

McCarthy: I just think he didn’t know the investigation.

Benson: You really think there were other people calling the shots and pulling the strings?

McCarthy: I do, yes. I don’t think he could tell you what the OLC guidance was.

. . .

Mueller couldn’t, or wouldn’t, say who wrote the highly-scrutinized letter sent by his office to the Attorney General, effectively complaining that the narrative around Mueller’s findings were not to the special counsel’s liking. Barr’s summary of Mueller’s bottom-line findings were accurate, but it seemed as though Mueller wasn’t pleased with the flavor of how things were being framed in the press. The letter felt like a political act, especially because it leaked into the public eye — unlike basically anything else out of Muellerworld. In the clip above, the special counsel dodged on who actually wrote that seemingly politically-motivated missive, and could not cobble together an answer about the suspicious nature of the leak. I’ll just say that the ‘Mueller wasn’t really running the show’ theory became at least a bit more plausible to me in that exchange. WATCH: Trump Chimes in on the Russia Witch Hunt Following Mueller’s Testimony

President Donald Trump took a victory lap following Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s hearings on Capitol Hill.

“So we had a very good day today,” Trump told reporters. “There is no defense to this ridiculous hoax, this witch hunt that’s been going on for a long time, pretty much from the time I came down the escalator with the First Lady.” . . .

“We’ve done a great job. We’ve got the strongest stock market. We’ve got the best unemployment numbers, the most people working in the history of the country right now, almost 160 million. Our military has been rebuilt and getting even stronger,” Trump explained. “We’ve done a great job and we’ve done it under this terrible, phony cloud, a phony cloud. That’s all it was. And they should be ashamed of themselves.”

“Everybody knew it was a hoax, especially the Democrats,” Trump said. “I wish we could be a fly on the wall in those rooms where the Democrats would go in and talk before and after meetings and they’d be laughing and smiling and say, ‘Can you believe we’re getting away with this?’ And, again, they didn’t get away with it.”

WATCH: Former Prosecutor Scolds Mueller for Violating Justice System’s ‘Most Sacred of Traditions’ in Russia Probe

A House Republican and former federal prosecutor took former special counsel Robert Mueller to task on Wednesday for violating “every principle and the most sacred of traditions” of the criminal justice system with the conclusions about President Donald Trump’s innocence made in Mueller’s special counsel report.

To begin his question time at Wednesday’s hearing before the House Judiciary Committee, Rep. John Ratcliffe, R-Texas, brought up a now-infamous portion of the Mueller report that said the special counsel’s team declined to make “a traditional prosecutorial judgment” but added that “we are unable to reach” a judgement about his innocence and that “while this report does not conclude that the President committed a crime, it also does not exonerate him.”

Ratcliffe took issue with the language, pointing out — as many others have — that it was not Mueller’s job as a prosecutor to exonerate Trump or to declare that the president had not been exonerated.

“Which DOJ policy or principle sets forth a legal standard that an investigated person is not exonerated if their innocence from criminal conduct is not conclusively determined?” Ratcliffe, who served as a U.S. attorney in the George W. Bush administration, asked. “Where does that language come from, Director? Where is the DOJ policy that says that?”

After Mueller paused for a moment and attempted to answer the question, Ratcliffe simplified it: “Can you give me an example other than Donald Trump where the Justice Department determined that an investigated person was not exonerated because their innocence was not conclusively determined?”

“I cannot,” Mueller said, protesting that “this is a unique situation.”

Ratcliffe then said that Mueller couldn’t think of an example because “it doesn’t exist”:

“Nowhere does it say that you were to conclusively determine Donald Trump’s innocence or that the special counsel report should determine whether or not to exonerate him.

“It’s not in any of the documents. It’s not in your appointment order. It’s not in the special counsel regulations. It’s not in the OLC opinions, it’s not in the Justice Manual, and it’s not in the Principles of Federal Prosecution.

“Nowhere do those words appear together, because respectfully, respectfully, Director, it was not the special counsel’s job to conclusively determine Donald Trump’s innocence or to exonerate him. Because the bedrock principle of our justice system is a presumption of innocence.

“It exists for everyone. Everyone is entitled to it, including sitting presidents. And because there is a presumption of innocence, prosecutors never, ever need to conclusively determine it.”

Later, Ratcliffe said that Muller “managed to violate every principle and the most sacred of traditions” about criminal investigations and prosecutions.

“I agree with the chairman [Jerry Nadler] this morning when he said Donald Trump is not above the law,” Ratcliffe concluded. “He’s not, but he damn sure shouldn’t be below the law, which is where volume 2 of this report puts him.”

WATCH: Ilhan Omar ‘Disgusted’ by Muslim Woman Asking Her to Condemn FGM

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) lambasted a female Muslim audience member Tuesday for asking her to renounce female genital mutilation (FGM), a practice common in Omar’s native Somalia.

Omar was reportedly taking questions an event for the Muslim Collective for Equitable Democracy event when Muslim audience member Ani Osman-Zonneveld of Muslims for Progressive Values asked Omar to condemn FGM.

Omar said she was “disgusted” by people who ask Muslim politicians specific questions on issues and groups embraced by extreme members of their religion – such as FGM, al-Qaeda, and Hamas – and called it a “waste” of time.

“I am, I think, quite disgusted I think to be honest that as Muslim legislators, we are constantly being asked to waste our time speaking to issues that other people are not asked to speak to because of the assumption exist that we somehow support and are for [the issue],” Omar said, according to BuzzFeed News.

She urged audience members to think twice before asking Muslim lawmakers questions, pressing them to ensure that it is a “proper question that they would probably ask any member of Congress, any legislator, [or] any politician.” (Read more from “Ilhan Omar ‘Disgusted’ by Muslim Woman Asking Her to Condemn FGM” HERE)

Tlaib: BDS Movement Against Israel Like American Boycott of Nazi Germany

Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D., Mich.) likened the anti-Israel Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions movement to the American boycott of Nazi Germany during a floor speech on Tuesday.

Tlaib, a Palestinian-American and a supporter of BDS, spoke on the floor about her opposition to a House resolution affirming opposition to the movement. It is likely to pass on a bipartisan basis.

Tlaib said she could not stand by as the “daughter of Palestinian immigrants” and watch an attack on the right to “boycott the racist policies of the government and state of Israel.”

“The right to boycott is deeply rooted in the fabric of our country,” she said. “What was the Boston Tea Party but a boycott? Where would we be now without the boycott led by the civil rights activists in the 1950s and 60s like the Montgomery bus boycott and the United Farm Workers Grape boycott?” . . .

“Americans boycotted Nazi Germany in response to dehumanization, imprisonment, and genocide of Jewish people,” she said. “In the 1980s, many of us in this very body boycotted South African goods in the fight against apartheid. Our right to free speech is being threatened with this resolution. It sets a dangerous precedent because it attempts to delegitimize a certain people’s political speech and to send a message that our government can and will take action against speech it doesn’t like.” (Read more from “Tlaib: BDS Movement Against Israel Like American Boycott of Nazi Germany” HERE)

CRAZY: Beto O’Rourke Compares Trump Rally to Nazi Event

Democratic presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke called President Donald Trump an outright racist Monday and compared last week’s North Carolina campaign rally to a Nazi event, according to The Hill.

During the same interview, O’Rourke said his hometown of El Paso, Texas, has the potential to become the Ellis Island of today, a place where immigrants are welcomed in to the country to improve their own lives and the nation at large. . .

O’Rourke’s comments came during an ABC News interview on Ellis Island in New York. He accused Trump of racism and inciting violence against minorities.

“President Trump is a racist,” O’Rourke said, referencing the president’s criticisms of Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib, and Ayanna Pressley. “What we saw in North Carolina last week was almost an impromptu Nuremberg rally, inciting hatred and, ultimately, I think, implicit in that is violence against people based on the color of their skin, based on their religion, based on their difference from the majority of Americans.” . . .

“This is Ellis Island, but where I live in El Paso, Texas, could be the Ellis Island of today,” O’Rourke said. “Perhaps millions of people who become Americans coming from Mexico and El Salvador and the Western hemisphere first set foot in the United States in my hometown. So, though we’re about 2,000 miles apart, El Paso and New York, we’re connected in that common story of America.”
