Hollywood actor Ashton Kutcher posted a powerful video on Facebook related to abortion, and it has garnered millions of views.
The video was testimony from actor and Special Olympian Frank Stephens before Congress in 2017 where he defeated the notion that babies with Down Syndrome should be aborted by forcing those listening to acknowledge his right to life.
“Whatever you learn today, please remember this,” said Stephens in his testimony, “I am a man with Down Syndrome and my life is worth living.”
“Sadly, across the world, a notion is being sold that maybe we don’t need research concerning Down Syndrome,” he explained. “Some people say prenatal screens will identify Down Syndrome in the womb and those pregnancies will just be terminated.” . . .
“First, we are a medical gift to society,” Stephens explained, “a blueprint for medical research into cancer, Alzheimers, and immune system disorders. Second, we are an unusually powerful source of happiness: a Harvard-based study has discovered that people with Down Syndrome, as well as their parents and siblings, are happier than society at large. Surely happiness is worth something? Finally, we are the canary in the eugenics coal mine. We are giving the world a chance to think about the ethics of choosing which humans get a chance at life.”

Rep. Chip Roy, R-Texas, took to the House floor Wednesday and unloaded on his fellow lawmakers for planning to leave town without securing the border.
His speech is not even two minutes long, and yet he makes a comprehensive case that Congress is derelict in its duty to protect America.
"Explain to the people why we're going to leave this afternoon at 1:00, not securing the border. It makes absolutely no sense to the American people … They wonder how this House leaves them with an unsecured border and nothing more than show votes for political theater." pic.twitter.com/grzYYuOKk8

Yesterday, Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., grilled a panelist at a House Judiciary Committee hearing on a Democratic bill that would restore voting rights to felons, showing how conservatives can expose the Left.
Gaetz brought up multiple specific cases of convicted felons, including two men who were convicted of felony voter intimidation. He asked one of the panelists, Vanita Gupta, president and CEO of the Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights, if the Democratic bill, H.R. 1, would let these people vote again.
Gupta began talking about how “disenfranchisement laws” were “a product of Jim Crow,” but Gaetz interrupted her talking points and brought the argument back to reality. Who, in 2019, gets to vote?
“I’m talking about the people who go out of their way to intimidate voters, and what you’re saying is that we ought to let those people back into the system,” Gaetz said.
He then asked if the bill makes a distinction between violent and non-violent felons. Gupta admitted that all classes of felon would receive their voting rights back, regardless of the type of crime they committed.
Gaetz had specific examples of ballot propositions that felons would be allowed to vote on. He brought up the case of a man who committed sex acts with a 12-year-old at knifepoint and asked if he should be allowed to move to Missouri and vote on a recent ballot initiative that dealt with whether an individual’s past criminal conduct in violent sexual acts would be considered in sentencing. Gupta had no answer to that other than to state that H.R. 1 “upholds voting as a national symbol of equality and full citizenship.”
“I think that, like, there are some things you can do that are so bad — the degradation of people’s right to vote, intimidating people from voting, raping children — that probably surrenders your right to participate in those decisions in the future,” Gaetz said.
Influential conservatives have come out in opposition to H.R. 1, calling the bill an “attempt by House Democrats to fundamentally undermine the American electoral system.” More than 150 conservative leaders signed a memo from the Conservative Action Project explaining the problems with the bill. The memo explains how this bill:
• Forces states to implement mandatory voter registration, removing civic participation as a voluntary choice and increasing chances for error.
• Mandates that states allow all felons to vote.
• Forces states to extend periods of early voting, which has been shown to have no effect on turnout.
• Mandates same-day voter registration, which encourages voter fraud.
• Limits the ability of states to cooperate to see who is registered in multiple states at the same time.
• Prohibits election observers from cooperating with election officials to file formal challenges to suspicious voter registrations.
• Criminalizes protected political speech by making it a crime to “discourage” someone from voting
• Bars states from making their own laws about voting by mail.
• Prohibits chief election officials in each state from participating in federal election campaigns.
• Mandates free mailing of absentee ballots.
• Mandates that states adopt new redistricting commissions.
Gaetz’s thorough preparation, specific examples, and relentless questioning exposed how the Left is perfectly fine passing sweeping legislation that would let child rapists and election fraudsters vote on decisions that would impact them. Does anyone honestly think most Americans support that? (For more from the author of “Nailed It: GOP Rep. Shows How to Expose the Left’s Radicalism” please click HERE)

By Townhall. Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) is already gunning to be the candidate for the far left in the 2020 primaries. Her agenda calls for nearly $3 trillion in tax hikes, along with the single-payer health care. She made quite the announcement last night during a town hall event with CNN’s Jake Tapper. She wants to get rid of private health insurance. So, we’re nowhere near the Iowa Caucuses, and the far left is already working hard to give Middle America sticker shock for their trash economic agenda. . .To top it all off, Harris’ health care plan would nix over a million jobs (via NTK Network):
According to AHIP, which is a political advocacy and trade association for health insurance companies, Harris’s proposal would cost more than 1.4 million Americans their jobs. That’s according to AHIP’s 2017 report, which tracks those who were employed directly and indirectly by America’s private health insurance industry. . .
That’s over 1,420,000 Americans who could possibly lose their jobs because of Harris Medicare for all proposal. It’s not yet clear how many jobs Harris’s plan would create in a government-run system like Medicare For All.
Sounds like Harris explicitly calling for single payer health insurance — Bernie style — and not just an expanded Medicare option.
As @jaketapper notes, that would eliminate private insurance — and is bound to be awfully unpopular in the broader electorate.
Survey shows support for 'Medicare for all’ plunges when people are asked if they’d pay higher taxes or put up with treatment delays to get it. https://t.co/DgIKAQYOsG

Kamala Harris has an extreme idea to get gun control legislation passed
By AOL. While fielding a question about gun violence during a CNN Town Hall appearance, presidential hopeful Senator Kamala Harris called out Congress for the lack of gun control legislation.
And she even suggested “harsh” means to encourage Congress to introduce a new bill.Harris started her discussion about gun reform by saying: “You can be in favor of the second amendment and also understand that there is no reason in a civil society that we have assault weapons around communities that can kill babies and police officers.” . . .
Senator Harris became even more impassioned while discussing the inaction by congress following the 2012 Sandy Hook elementary school shooting that took the lives of 20 children between the ages 6 and 7.
She said: “I think somebody should have required all those members of Congress to go in a room, in a locked room, no press, nobody else, and look at the autopsy photographs of those babies. And then you vote your conscience.” . . .
While there was not a direct response to Senator Harris’s statements, in 2018 the National Rifle Association’s CEO Wayne LaPierre suggested armed guards instead of gun control to curb the problem, saying: “Evil walks among us, and God help us if we don’t harden our schools and protect our kids.” (Read more from “Kamala Harris has an extreme idea to get gun control legislation passed” HERE)

The furor over Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s inhumane pro-abortion bill in New York, which allows abortion up to 24 weeks, has yet to subside. But on the heels of his signature, a lawmaker in the state of Virginia has introduced an even more radical piece of legislation. Virginia House of Delegates member Kathy Tran (D-Fairfax) has offered up a bill would allow a mother to get an abortion at the very end of her third trimester. Subcommittee Chair Del. Todd Gilbert (R-Shenandoah) had to hear it to believe it.
Heartbreaking… This isn't in New York, this isn't in California, this happened just this week right here in Virginia. @VAHouseDems proposed legislation to provide abortions up to just seconds before that precious child takes their first breath. Watch for yourself. pic.twitter.com/AxgPVyI6kU
In the video, Gilbert asks Tran up until what point physicians be allowed to perform an abortion. She was very candid.
“Through the third trimester,” she said. “The third trimester goes all the way up to 40 weeks.” . . .
Pro-lifers are shocked that the extreme is suddenly becoming the new normal.
New York just passed a bill essentially legalizing abortion up to birth. Virginia is now considering a bill that would explicitly allow abortion up to birth. This is not about viability or “safe, legal, and rare.” This is unlimited abortion on demand of fully formed babies.

By The Blaze. A CBS News reporter appeared to be stunned when a Border Patrol agent told her that the crisis at the border was the worst that he has seen in decades.
Custom & Border Patrol agent Fernando Grijalva told Mireya Villarreal what he had seen at the border between the United States and Mexico in the state of Arizona. . .
“Let me put it this way, I’ve seen six different presidents in the time that I’ve been with the Border Patrol, and this is the worst crisis that I’ve seen,” he explained.
“You actually will use that word, ‘crisis’?” she asked.
“Yes,” he responded. (Read more from “Is There a ‘Crisis’ at the Border? This Border Patrol Agent’s Answer Stuns Reporter” HERE)
Donald Trump Says He Would Be OK With Second Government Shutdown If Border Wall Doesn’t Get Funding
By Inquisitr. On Sunday morning, acting White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney told reporters that Donald Trump is willing to undergo a second government shutdown should Congress refuse to fund his border wall. According to the Associated Press, should an agreement not be reached, the shutdown will resume on February 15.
Mulvaney spoke to both Face the Nation on CBS and Fox News Sunday regarding the very real possibility that a second government shutdown might be on the horizon. If that occurs, all the government agencies that have just been reopened will once again be shut down — leaving a lot of federal workers scrambling to survive without a paycheck.
“What he wants to do is fix this the way that things are supposed to get fixed with our government which is through legislation,” Mulvaney said during an interview. . .
After an unprecedented 35-day federal shutdown that left 800,000 federal employees without work, Trump gave in and agreed to reopen the government — without any funding agreed in for his $5.7 billion border wall. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has repeatedly said Congress will not finance a border wall or barrier wall, calling the move “immoral.” (Read more from “Donald Trump Says He Would Be OK With Second Government Shutdown If Border Wall Doesn’t Get Funding” HERE)

During a press conference on Monday Acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker said that Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election is coming to an end.
“The investigation is, I think, close to being completed, and I hope that we can get the report from Director Mueller as soon as possible,” Whitaker said. “I’ve been fully briefed, and I look forward to Mueller delivering the final report. Right now, the investigation is close to being completed…Fundamentally, the Mueller investigation has a very defined scope.” . . .

According to House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff (D-CA), Whitaker’s remarks were inappropriate, clearly referencing Whitaker’s past comments on limiting Mueller’s authority:
An Acting Attorney General who refuses to follow the advice of ethics lawyers and recuse himself from an investigation in which he has shown a clear bias is the last person who should speak for the Special Counsel.
Earlier this month, President Donald Trump’s attorney, Rudy Giuliani, told Fox News the Trump administration wants as much information as possible to be released to the public. (Read more from “Brace Yourselves: The Mueller Probe May FINALLY Be Completed” HERE)

“Harry Potter” actor Daniel Radcliffe says he won’t be rooting for Tom Brady and the Patriots in the Super Bowl next weekend because Brady was once pictured with a “Make America Great Again” hat in his locker.
The sight of the hat, which appeared in Brady’s locker during a postgame interview in September 2015, still haunts Radcliffe, Fox News reports. Radcliffe admitted his aversion in an interview at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this weekend. He was there to promote his new TBS comedy, “Miracle Workers,” which follows Heaven’s office workers and aides to God, played by Steve Buscemi.
“The whole world is rooting against the Patriots … sorry,” Radcliffe said. “Take that MAGA hat out of your locker! I feel like that was the moment when as a country we were all like, ‘Come on, dude! You’re awesome…Don’t put that in here.” . . .
Brady has been coy about any further support for Trump, however, telling reporters during the same interview that actually voting for Trump was different from golfing with him or sharing a meal with him.
I don’t know. Am I going to vote for him? That’s a good question. He’s a good friend and we’ve had a lot of time on the golf course together over the years probably not as much recently but in my younger days when I would have more time that I could spend doing those type of things before there were kids, we spent a lot of times golfing together and so forth. It’s pretty amazing what he’s been able to accomplish as an entrepreneur, and then really as a television star, and now running for political office. People who can do those types of things and can transition into different arenas and still have that type of appeal and carryover, he’s obviously appealing to a lot of people and he’s a hell of a lot of fun to play golf with.

The rumor mill is churning again. This time, there’s chatter that former Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz is considering running against President Donald Trump…but as an independent. Democrats are freaking out over the possibility because they believe Schultz could hand the election to Trump.
.@HowardSchultz running for POTUS as an independent would put the froth on @realDonaldTrump ‘s Cinnamon Dolce Latte, splitting the opposition and making Trump’s low ceiling potentially high enough.https://t.co/O6HsJAL8sP
The best thing that Howard Schultz can do for the country is invest in education, voting rights, civil rights, and climate advocacy. There is zero appetite for this, and there is an urgent need for the Democratic candidate to win in 2020.
Dear Howard Schultz, Love that you want to help the country. Running for president won’t do that. It will hurt it. Donate your money. Campaign for the Democratic candidate. Don’t be Jill Stein. Don’t help re-elect Trump. Thank you, America

This week, New York Senate Democrats passed the euphemistically-named Reproductive Health Act, legislation which allows abortion up to the moment of birth, loosens restrictions on who performs them, and removes the fatal procedure from the state’s criminal code.
The truth is, the reality of abortion is so gruesome that abortion activists rely heavily on euphemism and secrecy. For example, it’s been shown time and again that self-described “pro-choice” folks change their mind about abortion after they’re shown what the fatal procedure actually entails — and, no, it’s not remotely comparable to a “dentist appointment,” as we are commonly told by left-wing activists.
So how exactly is a late-term abortion carried out? What will it look like when abortionists in New York state kill the unborn from 25 weeks to birth? In short: infanticide.
Dr. Anthony Levatino, a practicing obstetrician-gynecologist who performed over 1,200 abortions before he became pro-life, explains the horrifying procedure in a video for pro-life organization Live Action.
“At this point, the baby is almost fully developed and viable, meaning he or she could survive outside the womb if the mother were to go into labor prematurely. Because the baby is so large and developed, the procedure takes three or four days to complete,” says Levatino (video below).
