White House Caught Lying About Scrubbing Public Record

Video Transcript:

The White House has now joined the State Department in being caught doctoring the public record.

KEVIN CORKE: Can you state categorically that no senior official in this administration has ever lied publicly about any aspect of the Iran nuclear deal?

JOSH EARNEST: No, Kevin.

The White House changed the embarrassing admission to say “inaudible” in the transcript.

BYRON TAU: ABC reported over the weekend that the White House scratched a line from a briefing transcript because reportedly, you said it was “inaudible.” I was in that briefing and I recall the question and it seemed pretty audible to me. The video also makes it pretty clear. I heard what was being said. Is the White House going to restore that line?

EARNEST
: Well, Byron, I think what was true at the time is that there was a little cross-talk.

I don’t think so Josh. But let’s see if there’s cross-talk one more time.

CORKE: Can you state categorically that no senior official in this administration has ever lied publicly about any aspect of the Iran nuclear deal?

JOSH EARNEST: No, Kevin.

Here’s How Clinton Answered When Asked If the Right to Bear Arms Is a Constitutional Right

Democratic presidential frontrunner Hillary Clinton declined to say if she thinks the Second Amendment guarantees the constitutional right to bear arms during an interview Sunday with ABC’s George Stephanopoulos.

Stephanopoulos asked Clinton, “Do you believe that an individual’s right to bear arms is a constitutional right, that it’s not linked to service in a militia?”

“I think that for most of our history, there was a nuanced reading of the Second Amendment until the decision by the late Justice Scalia, and there was no argument until then that localities and states and the federal government had a right, as we do with every amendment, to impose reasonable regulations,” she replied. “So I believe we can have common-sense gun safety measures consistent with the Second Amendment” . . .

“I said, do you believe that their conclusion that an individual’s right to bear arms is a constitutional right?” he pressed.

“If it is a constitutional right, then it, like every other constitutional right, is subject to reasonable regulations, and what people have done with that decision is to take it as far as they possibly can and reject what has been our history from the very beginning of the republic, where some of the earliest laws that were passed were about firearms,” Clinton said. Watch: Sanders Blasts Clinton Foundation’s Donations From Foreign Government

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I., Vt.) slammed the Clinton Foundation’s acceptance of donations from foreign governments in an interview on CNN’s State of the Union Sunday.

Sanders was critical of the the foundation’s getting money from foreign governments, specifically Saudi Arabia. The Clinton Foundation has come under criticism in the past for taking donations from foreign governments while Clinton was Secretary of State.

Host Jake Tapper asked Sanders, who has previously held his tongue about the Clinton Foundation, how he felt about it taking money from foreign governments which don’t respect American values while Clinton was at the State Department.

“You have not been critical of the Clinton Foundation but there are those who say that there’s something inherently wrong with an American charity, especially one with ties to a secretary of state, taking money from the Saudis and other foreign governments that don’t represent our values. Is that a fair criticism?” Tapper asked.

“Yes, it is,” Sanders said. “If you ask me about the Clinton Foundation, do I have a problem when a sitting secretary of state and a foundation run by her husband collects many millions of dollars from foreign governments, governments which are dictatorships, you don’t have a lot of civil liberties or democratic rights in Saudi Arabia. Gun Shop Owner Confronts Obama: Why Take Guns From ‘Good Guys?’

A gun shop owner confronted President Obama at a town hall event Wednesday evening in Indiana, asking why the president wants more gun-control laws that ultimately hurt “the good guys.”

Doug Rhude’s question came after the televised portion of the PBS town hall in Elkhart, Ind., had ended.

“Knowing that we apply common sense to other issues in our society, specifically like holding irresponsible people accountable for their actions when they drink and drive and kill somebody, and we do that without restricting control of cars and cells phones to the rest of us, the good guys,” said Rhude. “Why then do you and Hillary want to control and restrict and limit gun manufacturers, gun owners and responsible use of guns and ammunition to the rest of us, the good guys, instead of holding the bad guys accountable for their actions?”

In response to the 2012 shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary, Obama implemented 23 executive actions in an attempt to address gun access. He also supported gun control measures in Congress that would have reinstated the assault weapons ban passed in the 1990s, created universal background checks, and limited the ammunition clip sizes.

The legislation fell short in the Senate, with most Republicans opposing it and most Democrats supporting it.

Obama responded to Rhude’s question. “First of all, the notion that I or Hillary or Democrats or whoever you want to choose are hell-bent on taking away folks’ guns is just not true,” he said.

“And I don’t care how many times the NRA says it. I’m about to leave office. There have been more guns sold since I have been president than just about any time in U.S. history. There are enough guns for every man, woman and child in this country.

“What I have said is precisely what you suggested, which is, why don’t we treat this like every other thing that we use?” the president stated.

He went on to argue that those on the “no-fly list” should not be be allowed to purchase a gun.

Obama concluded, “So, sir, I just have to say, respectfully, that there is a way for us to have common-sense gun laws. There is a way for us to make sure that lawful, responsible gun owners like yourself are able to use them for sporting, hunting, protecting yourself, but the only way we’re going to do that is if we don’t have a situation in which anything that is proposed is viewed as some tyrannical destruction of the Second Amendment.”

Critics have pointed out that none of the changes the president seeks would have prevented any of the mass shootings in recent years, including Sandy Hook, Charleston, Chattanooga, Oregon or San Bernardino.

House Speaker Paul Ryan, Rep. Trey Gowdy, R-S.C., and others have contended that Obama’s call to empower the DOJ to yank individuals’ right to purchase guns if they have been placed on the no-fly list is unconstitutional. The Constitution’s Fifth and Fourteenth Amendments require that Americans’ right to “life, liberty, or property” cannot be denied without due process of law.

In a congressional hearing in December, Gowdy pressed a Department of Homeland Security official about the proposal. “My question is what process is afforded a United States citizen before that person’s constitutional right is infringed?”

The former federal prosecutor continued, “[President Obama] is fine with doing it with the Second Amendment. How about the First?”

Several have been mistakenly placed on the no-fly list, including Weekly Standard senior writer Stephen Hayes.

Fox News listed eight ways Americans can be placed on the no-fly list, which occurs without their knowledge. (For more from the author of “Gun Shop Owner Confronts Obama: Why Take Guns From ‘Good Guys?'” please click HERE)

Watch: Obama ‘Trips Over His Tongue’ When He Goes off Teleprompter to Bash Trump

President Obama, lauded as one of America’s premier orators when he was elevated to the White House back in 2008, had a stuttering moment Wednesday as he was trying to trash Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump.

“If we turn against each other based on divisions of race or religion. If-if-if-if-if-if-if-if-if-if-if we, if we fall for, you know, a bunch of okie-doke, just because, you know it-it-uh. You know, it-it-it-it-it-it sounds funny or the tweets are provocative,” Obama said during an appearance in Elkhart, Indiana.

John S. Roberts, writing on Young Conservatives, noted that he was never impressed with Obama the orator in the first place.

“Barack Obama is usually known for being an eloquent speaker. I guess, right? That’s what people say,” Roberts wrote. “I mean, the man has used the word ‘uh’ more than anyone in recent memory.”

Roberts then called Obama’s inability to get through one sentence attacking Trump “tripping over his tongue.”

Jim Hoft wrote on Gateway Pundit, “Poor Barack. He wanted to sound more powerful. He really did! Unfortunately, it didn’t go as planned. He turned into a stuttering mess.”

Others noticed the rhetorical pothole as well.

“In the past I’ve pointed out when this guy stutters he is lying. Towards the end of his economic speech he was hinting to Trump and trying to slide in a cheap shot or two but that truthful Achilles heel kicked in!” wrote BMartin1776 on Saving the Republic. Watch: Firefighters With American Flags on Their Trucks Compared to Terrorists in Rhode Island

A city official in Rhode Island has angered the Coventry Fire Department by demanding that they remove the American flag from the back of their fire trucks.

Fox news reports that Fred Gralinski of the Central Coventry Fire District “bizarrely compared it to ISIS flying its black flag while riding around in Iraq or Syria.”

“They look like a bunch of yahoos,” Gralinski said at a board meeting. “Like in the paper, like ISIS in Syria going to take over a city. I don’t think they need that big flag on the back of the truck. That’s not America to me. Those are a bunch of terrorists. So, I’m going to ask you to take the flag off that truck.”

Gralinski reportedly apologized for his comments through a spokesman after facing backlash from members of the fire department. (For more from the author of “Firefighters With American Flags on Their Trucks Compared to Terrorists in Rhode Island” please click HERE)

Newest Details Revealed in Clinton Aide Deposition Expose This About Hillary

Video Transcript:

Hillary Clinton’s Chief of Staff, Cheryl Mills, finally had her deposition released and in it were some bombshells.

JUDGE NAPOLITANO: But what [Mills] did say is that Mrs. Clinton used exclusively her Blackberry. She didn’t have a laptop, she didn’t have a desktop, she didn’t have a tablet, she just used the Blackberry. Her Blackberry, not a government issued Blackberry. Because it was not government issue, it was blocked on the 7th floor of the State Department where her office is. What does that mean? That means that when she was in her office, she did not have the means to communicate electronically to her people all around the world for the entire time she was there. How did she do it? Take a security team, go from the 7th floor to the 6th floor where her Blackberry worked. Or she would have one of her aides come in and use a — you’ll like this cause you’re a historian — 19th Century technology, read the document to me. Read it aloud. So when people are saying she was incompetent as a Secretary of State, they’re absolutely correct and right on the mark because of this alone. She has ambassadors all around the world trying to communicate with her and she’s cut herself off.

Mills’ testimony revealed that one of Mrs. Clinton’s defenses was a lie.

NAPOLITANO: Mrs. Clinton in her press conferences, the few that she’s given, said “don’t worry about it because everything was stored and its searchable, all of my emails.” Cheryl Mills revealed in the deposition earlier this week, it was not searchable, that they couldn’t find this stuff because it had gone through Mrs. Clinton’s private server. What does this mean? All of this means that she frustrated the ordinary operations of the State Department, which she was in charge of because she was terrified of the president, the rest of the State Department, the media and the public knowing what she was doing. It is crystal clear that the motivation for all of this was her incredible desire to avoid the Freedom of Information Act, to keep from the president, the rest of the State Department and the public what she was doing as Secretary of State, which is a violation of the law.

Watch: Veteran Rips Into Liberal Media at Trump Presser

At a press conference Tuesday, Donald Trump announced he raised $5.6 Million for veterans and blasted the “liberal media” for dishonest reporting about the timing and veracity of his donations. Speaking on Mr. Trump’s behalf, New Hampshire state representative Al Baldasaro blasted the liberal media’s reporting on Donald Trump.

“I would never ever in a million years put my name on a candidate that did not from his heart, look me in the eye, and tell me he’s concerned about veterans. I met him over a year ago. That’s Donald Trump… There are many scam artists out there. He did the right thing by vetting these groups there. If you look at some of the groups that give 20 cents, 40 cents on the dollar and they’re spending the rest for, you know, their nice lavish trips. He gave 100%. The liberal media is the only ones that have been calling me on the foundation, all right? I’m the former chairman. I have been dealing with this stuff for years. Stop using veterans as political pawns…. I think the liberal media, need to get your head out of your butt and focus on the real issues.”

Baldasaro serves as the chair of Veterans for Trump. He is an advisor to the Trump campaign on veterans affairs. (For more from the author of “Watch: Veteran Rips Into Liberal Media at Trump Presser” please click HERE)

White House Press Secretary Dodges Questions on Clinton Email Scandal

A report by the State Department’s inspector general revealed that Hillary Clinton refused the use of her government-issued email to avoid making her personal records “accessible.”

The report further went on to state that Clinton’s decision to maintain the use of her personal email account, as it pertained to official government use, not only presented a threat to national security, but ignored multiple warnings in the process.

Now, even the White House is refusing to defend the Democratic presidential candidate’s actions, as White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest opted to dodge questions at a press conference Tuesday, directing reporters to the Clinton campaign instead.

“I don’t know if you’ve had a chance to offer some reaction [to the report],” began a reporter. “It was clear that she did not … seek approval, that she never demonstrated that her BlackBerry met minimum requirements, security information requirements. Does the president still stand by the statement that he’s certain that Clinton did not endanger national security?”

“The president certainly stands by what he has said in the past on this,” responded Earnest, before pivoting. “When the president was given the opportunity to talk about this in Asia, he referred questions to Secretary Clinton’s campaign. They can obviously discuss the decisions that she made as secretary of state, as they relate to her use of email.”

Earnest was later asked if the White House believes Clinton should have cooperated with the Inspector General’s Office in its investigation, to which Earnest continued to deflect.

“Does the White House think she should have participated and cooperated in the IG investigation?” the reporter went on to ask.

“Well again, I’d refer you to Secretary Clinton’s team for how she handled those questions,” said Earnest, adding that the State Department has since changed its methods of record keeping to be in compliance with the IG’s recommendations. These 7 Short Videos Clear up Myths About Air Pollution

The Texas Public Policy Foundation came out with a series of short videos addressing myths about air pollution and the effects of the Environmental Protection Agency’s Clean Power Plan.

The plan was first proposed by the EPA in 2014 and the final version was unveiled by President Barack Obama in August 2015. In February, the Supreme Court issued a stay on the plan until the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals makes a decision on a 27-state lawsuit.

“Our series of short videos about the EPA’s Clean Power Plan, air pollution, and climate change educate younger Americans about the tremendous progress we’ve made in cleaning our air of toxic emissions while pointing out that carbon dioxide—a gas we all exhale—is non-toxic plant fertilizer,” Chuck DeVore, vice president of national initiatives for the Texas Public Policy Foundation, said.

DeVore said the EPA’s Clean Power Plan would ultimately result in higher electric bills—up to 30 percent higher—while potentially only reducing the planet’s temperature by 0.03 degrees Fahrenheit by 2100.

Here’s a look at the seven videos.

1. The EPA Clean Power Plan is based on alarmist claims but will raise your electric bill by 30 percent.

2. Some politicians and bureaucrats want to raise your bills to make the planet 0.03 degrees Fahrenheit cooler in 80 years.

3. The government’s own data shows the inconvenient truth for climate activists that sulfur dioxide levels have gone down as the air has become increasingly cleaner.

4. Ozone emissions have declined 33 percent since 1980, another sign that air has become cleaner.

5. Nitrogen dioxide levels have declined 57 percent since 1980, meaning American air has actually become cleaner.

6. Lead levels have gone down 98 percent since 1980 as air has become cleaner.

7. Carbon monoxide levels have decreased 85 percent since 1980 as air has become cleaner.
