On April 22, a customer at a Kroger in Little Rock, Arkansas, saw an elderly man surrounded by “seven people,” so he drew his gun and intervened to protect the gentleman.
The group surrounding the elderly man then turned their attention toward the armed customer and implored him to look the other way. According to Fox 16, the group kept yelling, “[This] isn’t your fight, you need to walk away and you need to put the gun down.”
The armed citizen refused to comply, and instead kept his gun trained on the group as they fled the scene.
The armed citizen–who simply gave his name as “Gene”–said that he could hear a woman behind him calling 911 and when police arrived they ascertained that the elderly man was allegedly “being assaulted by his nephew” at the time that Gene intervened. By Kyle Smith. If the Rodney King riots in LA in 1992 had a caption, it was, “Can’t we all just get along?”
At the Baltimore riots of 2015, the words that will echo long afterward are, “You want to be out here doing this dumb s - - t?”
The Mom of the Year award must go to the Baltimore woman captured on amateur video yesterday who responded to the mayhem in the streets — as embodied by the young man who one supposes must be her son — like a parenting superhero. (The hashtag #momoftheyear is trending on social media.)
She didn’t ask him to share his feelings, give him space to “blow off steam” or chant “No justice, no peace.” No, she took the no-excuses route, screaming some sense at the startled youngster while slapping him repeatedly in the face. Hard. (Read more from “Watch: Baltimore Riot Mom Is Mother of the Year” HERE)
Baltimore Quiets Down as Most Residents Obey Curfew
By FoxNews.com. The streets of Baltimore were eerily quiet Tuesday night into early Wednesday as residents obeyed an all-night curfew enforced by 3,000 police and National Guardsmen, a day after riots engulfed the city.
The 10 p.m. curfew got off to a not-so promising start as 200 protesters initially defied the warnings of police and pleas from activists to disperse.
Some people in the crowd threw water bottles or lay on the ground as a line of police behind riot shields hurled gas canisters and fired pepper balls to push the crowd back. Demonstrators picked up the canisters and hurled them back at officers, but the crowd would rapidly disperse and was just down to a few dozen people within minutes.
The clash came after a day of high tension but relative peace and calm in Baltimore, which was rocked by looting and widespread arson Monday in the city’s worst outbreak of rioting since 1968.
Police, political leaders and many residents condemned the violence and hundreds of volunteers showed up Tuesday to sweep the streets of glass and other debris. (Read more from this story HERE)

As he began his first re-election run in early 2013, tea party Rep. Thomas Massie had no trouble raising money from business interests . . .
The Kentucky Republican voted against returning John Boehner, R-Ohio, to the speaker’s job and opposed an effort by GOP leaders to avoid a standoff with President Barack Obama over immigration that threatened to shut down the Department of Homeland Security.
In the first three months of 2013, Massie reported $46,000 rolling in from tobacco, trucking, health care and other industries. During the first quarter of 2015, Massie has collected just $1,000 from political action committees, which funnel contributions to candidates from business, labor or ideological interests. That money came from the conservative Eagle Forum.
Massie and some other conservatives say the reason their business contributions have fallen is simple: GOP leaders are retaliating for their defiance . . .
Conservatives point out that leadership has targeted them before, and they cite Boehner’s removal of some rebels from coveted committee assignments. In March, an outside group allied with GOP leaders ran radio and Internet ads accusing some House Republicans who opposed efforts to end the Homeland Security impasse of being “willing to put our security at risk.” (Read more from “As Contributions Fall, House GOP Rebels Blame Party Leaders” HERE)

The below video shows a US Navy ship encountering heavy seas while in transit. During my 10 years of sea duty, while serving in 6 Navy Destroyers and in one Navy Amphib, I encountered heavier seas in the North Atlantic than those recorded in the below listed video. My Navy ships transited the seven seas, circumnavigated the globe twice, crossed the equator 6 times, visited every continent, and made port calls in 38 countries.

Several Christian activists appeared at a press conference today at the National Press Club in Washington D.C. where they publicly stated their opposition to gay marriage, which the U.S. Supreme Court will be hearing a case on next week.
C-SPAN noted: “Speakers said they would not abide by, respect, or follow a decision by the Supreme Court that allows same-sex couples to get married. They argued such as decision infringed upon religious freedom and was an assault on religious people.”
Bishop E.W. Jackson compared Christians in America to Christian students who were killed in Kenya by terrorists, reported [the extreme left wing] RightWingWatch.org (video below).
Bishop Jackson lamented that no “matter how loving we try to be” Christians are called out for discriminating against gay people. He cited a florist who turned down a gay customer who wanted a floral arrangement for his same-sex wedding. After months of speculation that he was transitioning into a woman, Bruce Jenner confirmed the news in an interview with Diane Sawyer that aired on ABC Friday night, clarifying that he is also a Republican and a Christian.
When asked about Barack Obama addressing LGBT rights in his State of the Union, the 65-year-old former Olympic athlete said that didn’t affect him much.
“I’ve always been more on the conservative side,” Jenner said.
Jenner said he is a Christian as well.
“I would sit in church and always wonder, ‘In God’s eyes, how does he see me?’” (Read more from “Sad Bruce Jenner: ‘I’m a Republican and a Christian'” HERE)

Dashcam footage has revealed the startling moment a Texas trooper ran toward a motorcyclist following a high-speed chase, leaped into the air and karate kicked him to the ground.
The unconventional maneuver led to a three-day, unpaid suspension for Trooper Abraham Martinez last year but the footage only emerged this week as the Austin American Statesman investigated outdated tactics used in Department of Public Safety pursuits.
The incident unfolded in December 2012 after Martinez, a 10-year veteran trooper, took chase when 25-year-old Steven Gaydos ran a stop sign near Houston . . .
Troopers followed Gaydos for nearly 40 miles at speeds of 130 mph before Martinez pulled alongside him and fired four times through the window of his moving car, striking the man once in the thigh.
The motorcyclist then raised his hand and pulled over and, as he tried to put down his kickstand, Martinez suddenly leaped out at him, kicked him and knocked him to the ground. (Read more from “Watch: Texas Trooper KARATE KICKS Suspect off His Motorcycle Following High-Speed Chase” HERE)
One of the most glaring myths propagated by Washington — especially the two parties’ media loyalists — is that bipartisanship is basically impossible, that the two parties agree on so little, that they are constantly at each other’s throats over everything. As is so often the case for Washington partisan propaganda, the reality is exactly the opposite: from trade deals to Wall Street bailouts to a massive National Security and Penal State, the two parties are in full agreement on the bulk of the most significant D.C. policies (which is why the leading candidates of the two parties (from America’s two ruling royal families) will have the same funding base). But because policies that command the agreement of the two parties’ establishments are largely ignored by the D.C. press in favor of the issues where they have some disagreements, the illusion is created that they agree on nothing.
To illustrate how true this all is, consider the comments today of leading GOP presidential candidate Jeb Bush. He appeared on Michael Medved’s conservative talk radio program, and was asked by the host what his favorite part of the Obama administration has been. His answer? As McClatchy’s Lesley Clark noted on Twitter, Bush hailed “Obama’s enhancement of NSA.” The audio was first posted by Ian Hanchett and is embedded below; here is the full transcript of the exchange:
Medved: If you were to look back at the last seven years, almost, what has been the best part of the Obama administration?
Jeb Bush: I would say the best part of the Obama administration would be his continuance of the protections of the homeland using the big metadata programs, the NSA being enhanced. Advancing this — even though he never defends it, even though he never openly admits it, there has been a continuation of a very important service, which is the first obligation, I think of our national government is to keep us safe. And the technologies that now can be applied to make that so, while protecting civil liberties are there. And he’s not abandoned them, even though there was some indication that he might.

Legal and illegal immigrants will hit a record high of 51 million in just eight years and eventually account for an astounding 82 percent of all population growth in America, according to new U.S. Census figures.
A report from the Center for Immigration Studies that analyzed the statistics said that by 2023, one in seven U.S. residents will be an immigrant, rising to one in five by 2060 when the immigrant population totals 78 million.
The report was provided to Secrets and released Wednesday evening.
The surge in immigrant population, both legal and illegal, threatens to slam into the presidential campaign as GOP candidates move to figure out what their position is and the president tries to use executive powers to exempt some 5 million illegals from deportation.

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker disrupted the debate this week when he said that legal immigration also needs to be reformed to make sure Americans don’t suffer by losing jobs to new citizens. (Read more from “Record 51 Million Immigrants in 8 Years, Will Account for 82% of U.S. Growth” HERE)

The U.S. Marshals Service has launched an investigation into one of its agents who appears to be captured on video ripping a cell phone from the hands of a bystander who was trying to film him in the street while he responded to gang activity.
The video also seems to show the agent throwing the phone to the ground.
Gawker reported agents with the Marshals Service were investigating some activity of a biker gang near a California home, and a nearby woman started videotaping the scene on her cell phone.
The agent then snatched the phone from the woman’s hands and smashed it to the ground, the video shows.
“We’ve had incidents where people have videotaped us and it requires unbelievable restraint. Typically during times where things can be a little chaotic,” said South gate police Capt. Darren Aerakawa, to the Los Angeles Times. “We really have to convey we’re living in a different environment now where police action is scrutized and a lot of video is surfacing. We simply tell our officers to assume they’re being recorded out in public at all times.” (Read more from “U.S. Marshal Snatches, Smashes Bystander’s Phone” HERE)
