Police Shoot Pregnant Woman in Stomach With AR-15 [+video]

downloadThe footage in this story shows the fatal shooting of Jeanetta Riley. Riley, 35, was killed by Sandpoint, Idaho police after they were called to a hospital where she had been treated for mental health problems.

The department has cleared its officers “of any criminal wrongdoing,” claiming that they followed all proper procedures when they chose to use an AR-15 rifle on the mentally ill, pregnant woman who was holding a knife.

The officers could have used less-than-lethal weapons, like a taser, but instead they chose not only a firearm, but an AR-15 when they approached her outside of Bonner General Hospital.

The police can be heard on the video telling Riley to show her hands . . .

She does not charge or approach the officers. They clearly are in no immediate danger. They clearly had no need to shoot at that point, and were far enough away that they had time to react to any true aggressive moves by the woman . . . [T]hey just killed her with an automatic weapon designed for wartime use. All that, and the cop had the weapon set for an auto three round burst, not even just single shots. The Right Finds a Fresh Voice on Same-Sex Marriage [+video]

Another day, another town. Ryan T. Anderson, the conservative movement’s fresh-faced, millennial, Ivy League-educated spokesman against same-sex marriage, has another busy schedule.

There is an interview with conservative talk radio, a debate with a liberal professor at the University of Colorado’s law school and, after that, a lecture to Catholic students eager to hear Anderson’s view that the Constitution does not require that marriage be “redefined” to include same-sex couples.

The Supreme Court will soon be deciding just that question. And Anderson, a 33-year-old scholar at the Heritage Foundation, has emerged as a leading voice for those who resent being labeled hopelessly old-fashioned — or, worse, bigoted — for believing that marriage should be only between a man and a woman. . .

Justice Samuel A. Alito Jr. cited his work twice in his dissent from the court’s opinion in United States v. Windsor, which struck down part of the federal Defense of Marriage Act. Anderson is becoming a prominent face of the opposition in news media appearances. . .

Anderson contends that he does not need to prove that his view of marriage is the correct one, only that the Constitution permits states to endorse it. “We’re having a national conversation about this, and that shouldn’t be short-circuited by the Supreme Court,” he says. . . 12-Year-Old Owns Al Sharpton: ‘You’re a Waste of Human Flesh’ [+video]

12-year-old-owns-al-sharpton-youCJ Pearson, a young black conservative making a name for himself online, has a message for Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson and the nation’s other professional race baiters: “If you really care about black people, you would empower black people.”

“You’re only in this business to make money, to achieve fame,” the young man says. “But we don’t want you, Al. We don’t want you, Jesse Jackson. We don’t want any of you because you’re not for us, and you’re not right.”

Pearson goes on to chide Sharpton, Jackson, et al. for characterizing tragedies such as the murder of Walter Scott as racially motivated when the events should be universally recognized as miscarriages of justice.

Meet the Man Who Will Be the First to Undergo Head-To-Body Transplant [+video]

manDoctors seem to be a step closer to performing a breakthrough surgery: transplanting a human head onto another body. A Russian man with a rare genetic muscle-wasting disorder has volunteered to be the first to try the procedure.

“I’m very interested in technology, and anything progressive that might change people’s lives for the better,” Valery Spiridonov from the Russian city of Vladimir, told RT.

Spiridonov, a 30-year-old qualified computer scientist, works for an IT firm.

He said that his disease is getting worse every year, and usually people with Werdnig-Hoffman disorder – a disease that wastes muscles – don’t live longer than 20 years, so it would be a chance to prolong his life and help scientific research in the process.

“Doing this isn’t only an excellent opportunity for me, but will also create a scientific basis for future generations, no matter what the actual outcome of the surgery is,” he said. (Read more from “Meet the Man Who Will Be the First to Undergo Head-To-Body Transplant [+video]” HERE)

Watch: Rubio on American Exceptionalism

Marco Rubio_APSenator Rubio’s message of American exceptionalism is refreshing. Especially in the age of Obama, who actively undermines this foundational tenant of our country. These elements should be present in all who seek the highest office in the land, both Republican and Democrat.

Tension Between BLM and Mining Operation, Oath Keepers Set up Camp [+video]

mountainA land dispute is creating tension between miners in Josephine County and the Bureau of Land Management. The owners of the mines say they are afraid their rights to due process will not be respected and have now called in reinforcements.

The Oath Keepers of Josephine County are gathering at a piece of property near Merlin. They’re in the process of setting up a staging area, in order to step in if they are needed by the Sugar Pine miners.

“Because we are constitutional group,” said Mary Emerick with Oath Keepers. “We defend the Constitution… And we are here just to make sure that they receive their Fifth Amendment rights which is due process.”

The owners called them in to help protect the property that they have mined for more than 100 years. The miners say documents they have grandfathered-in their surface rights to the property.

But the BLM says the documents are outdated, and at some point, the property has changed hands which cancels out the grandfather process. Now, the BLM says the miners have to tone down their mining operation to stay in line with the regulations. (Read more from “Tension Between BLM and Mining Operation, Oath Keepers Set up Camp” HERE)

Black Judge Gives Armed Robbers Light Sentence Saying Three-Year-Old White Victim Is ‘Racist’ [+video]

Olu_StevensA black judge in Kentucky has given two home invaders and armed robbers a light sentence because he feels that their three-year-old white victim was a “racist” because in her victim statement the little girl said she is now afraid of black people after they broke into her home and threatened her with a gun.

In an outrageous statement from the bench, Louisville Judge Olu Stevens attacked the tiny white toddler and her parents for their “racism” calling the little girl’s statement “disturbing” while at the same time excusing the actions of the criminals who traumatized her. That’s right, this judge was more upset at a little girl for being scared by armed robbers than he was at the armed robbers.

By Marisa Schultz and Leonard Greene. Hillary Clinton finally ended speculation Sunday about the nation’s worst-kept secret: she’s running for the White House.

“I’m running for president. Everyday Americans need a champion, and I want to be that champion. –H” she tweeted around 3:30 p.m.

Top Clinton aide and campaign manager John Podesta, in an e-mail to veterans of Clinton’s 2008 campaign, donors and fundraisers, minutes earlier sent an e-mail blast with the words that supporters, detractors and political pundits had been waiting for: “It’s official: Hillary’s running for president.”

[Editor’s note: Here’s a Hillary Campaign YouTube Ad]

The e-mail was distributed moments before her official campaign Web site, HillaryClinton.com, went live with her announcement.

“So I’m hitting the road to earn your vote because it’s your time,” the second-time candidate said.” And I hope you’ll join me on this journey.” (Read more from “Hillary Announces for President With Typos, She ‘Fought Children and Families’ During Political Career” HERE)

When Hillary Clinton’s Announcement Delayed, Political Reporters Get Testy

By Joshua M. Patton. A report from The Guardian said that the “big announcement” from Hillary Clinton today was coming at noon Sunday, but hours later there were no e-mail to supporters or announcement from the candidate. This has more than a few political reporters upset about how she’s messing with their Sundays.

“Hillary Clinton’s 2016 announcement, for which the political press has been waiting since at least November 2012, if not November 2008, was originally maybe possible scheduled for the noon-1 hour, tethering us content jockeys to our laptops or smart toys on an otherwise gorgeous spring day,” according to Mediaite.com. Christian Persecution in Kenya: What Americans Should Know [+video]

Kenya_Explosion.JPEG-02d40_c0-251-7020-4342_s561x327The more than 145 Christians in Garrisa, Kenya, who were killed on April 2, 2015, were not the first or the last Christians who were marked for death by Muslims. The Al Shabaab Somali Muslims continue to attack villages throughout Garrisa, as they and other groups have done for several years.

The Islamic cry “Death to slaves of the Cross” can be heard and witnessed throughout the Middle East and Africa. Much of this persecution is a result of Obama administration directives and funded by American tax dollars and debt. In light of this, it was not surprising that Barack Obama intentionally chose not to mention or pray for recently murdered Christians from his ancestral homeland during his April 7th “Easter Prayer Breakfast” remarks.

In light of such denial, I reached out to several missionaries asking if they would describe what it’s like to be a Christian living in a non-western country. This is the first of several columns attempting to convey their experiences (most of whom have rejected anonymity) and lists specific actions American Christians can, and must, immediately take to support them.

In Kenya, I reached out to American missionary and church planter, Pastor Josh Lawrence who planted Calvary Chapel in Eldoret, Kenya. Eldoret is the fifth largest city in Kenya, located south of the Cherangani Hills near the Ugandan border.

[Editor’s note: this article’s author, Bethany Blankley, was recently on The Joe Miller Show. Listen to her intriguing interview here]

Four years ago, newlywed Josh and his bride, Kelsey, left their Calvary Chapel Bangor, Maine, community — for Kenya — a land where they knew no one. They were determined, excited and committed to planting a church, reaching their soon-to-be new neighbors by “preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ and educating Kenyans in the Word of God.”

They arrived in Kenya in 2011, shortly after the beginning of the Arab Spring, a time when Muslims attacks against Christians worldwide, including Kenya, were intensifying. Over the last four years attacks have ranged from hurling hand grenades from a church pulpit toward congregants to attacking Christians at barbershops, bus stops, football matches, hotels, produce markets, shops, or while driving or walking along a road. Muslims have used every accessible method to kill Christians, from roadside bombs, to remote devices, IEDs, various kinds and amounts of explosives, transistor radios, gas cylinders, suicide bombings, or shooting someone point blank.

Since 2011, the East African Pentecostal Church, the Central Catholic Cathedral, AIC churches, God’s House of Miracles Church, and St. Polycarp Anglican Church are only a few of many targeted for violence. Many more have occurred unreported by international news outlets.

In fact, during the few short years the Lawrences have lived in Kenya, Kenya jumped from being the 43rd to the 19th most dangerous country for a Christian to live.

I asked Pastor Josh to provide insight about living in Kenya (even anonymously) during such dangerous times. He told me, “I don’t want to remain anonymous. I am very outspoken in Eldoret and at my church about current events. I’ve even held debates with Muslims at my church.”

Josh has been a senior pastor at Calvary ChapelEldoret for three years and in Christian ministry for roughly eight years. Calvary ChapelEldoret has 150 members who regularly attend church services on weekdays and on Sundays.

I asked Pastor Josh, what would happen if his congregants were wiped out like the Christians in Garissa? He responded that if that were to happen, “it would have a huge effect in this town. Though we are a young church we have been making inroads into this community as a church that won’t compromise the truth given to us by Jesus Christ in the Word of God.”

Calvary Chapel Eldoret’s ministry extends well beyond its walls. Josh and others in his congregation provide medical outreach to their neighbors and evangelize to them, including, and sometimes specifically, Muslims. In 2012, Calvary ChapelEldoret drilled a borehole for a local village to have access to clean water. They also minister to men and women in prison weekly.

Pastor Josh added, “Over the last two years persecution in Kenya is at its height. Kenyan media is accurately covering the recent attack on Christians in Garissa, but the American news media is not. In Garissa, for example, the Muslims asked each student whether or not they were a Christian. If they said yes, the Muslims killed them. If they answered that they were Muslim, they were free to leave.”

This fact is well known in Kenya, which is why, Pastor Josh explained, “these attacks have created a lot of fear in Christians. I have had church members ask about security at our church and some have expressed to me that they are afraid to come to church.

“As a Christian missionary in Kenya I have learned to be content in all things. I find great joy in serving Christ here. But I am also cautious, taking precautions for my wife and children in certain areas of town.” (See “Christian Persecution in Kenya: What Americans Should Know”, originally posted HERE)
