Watch: Ronald Reagan’s Son Proclaims Lifelong Atheism in TV Ad, “Not Afraid of Burning in Hell”

ron-reaganFormer president Ronald Reagan’s outspoken son, Ron Reagan, Jr, is not afraid to tell the world about his atheism, and is also not afraid of burning in hell, according to a TV commercial airing on CNN and Comedy Central.

“Hi, I’m Ron Reagan, an unabashed atheist,” the commercial begins. “And I’m alarmed at the intrusions of religion into our secular government.”

The commercial for the Freedom From Religion Foundation first aired last May, but Comedy Central’s The Daily Show has again picked up the spot to air on afternoon reruns of the program starting in April. The ad has already been airing on morning reruns of The Daily Show as well as on CNN for months.

Originally, the FFRF had trouble getting the commercial to be broadcast on network television as ABC, NBC, CBS, and Fox all declined to run the ad. The FFRF’s co-president, Annie Laurie Gaylor, told Newsmax that it’s hard to get non-Christian commercials to air. “We believe in free speech, but in this climate even paid speech by unbelievers is often censored,” she said.

“That’s why I’m asking you to support the Freedom From Religion Foundation, the nation’s largest and most effective association of atheists and agnostics, working to keep state and church separate, just like our Founding Fathers intended,” Reagan claims in the commercial. Family: Son Shoots Himself After Eating Marijuana Candies [+video]

The family of a Tulsa man who shot himself Saturday night in Keystone is blaming his suicide on his ingestion of edible marijuana candies.

“It was completely a reaction to the drugs,” Kim Goodman said about her son Luke’s Saturday night suicide.

Luke Goodman’s death is now the third death in Colorado linked to marijuana edibles.

The 23-year-old college graduate was in the midst of a two-week ski and snowboard vacation with family members. Saturday afternoon he and his cousin, Caleb Fowler, took a bus from Keystone to Silverthorne where Fowler says they bought $78 worth of edibles and marijuana . . .

When the young men got back to Keystone, Fowler said they began ingesting the edible pot. He said his cousin favored some peach tart candies, each piece of candy containing 10 mg of the active ingredient in marijuana, the recommended dose for an adult consuming an edible. How Crashing Drones Are Exposing Secrets About U.S. War Operations [+video]

military-droneCrashing drones are spilling secrets about U.S. military operations.

A surveillance mission was exposed last week when a Predator drone crashed in northwest Syria while spying on the home turf of President Bashar al-Assad. U.S. officials believe the drone was shot down, but they haven’t ruled out mechanical failure. Regardless, the wreckage offered the first hard evidence of a U.S. confrontation with Assad’s forces.

The mishap in Syria follows a string of crashes in Yemen, another country where the U.S. military keeps virtually all details of its drone operations classified.

Yemeni tribesmen have reported three cases in the past 15 months in which U.S. drones have fallen from the sky, pulling back the curtain on likely surveillance targets. Air Force spokesmen said they could not confirm any crashes in Yemen, but Air Force records obtained by The Washington Post show the dates match up with official acknowledgments of accidents that occurred in classified locations.

Since January 2014, the Air Force has reported 14 crashes of Predator and Reaper drones that either destroyed the aircraft or inflicted more than $2 million in damage. Three of the accidents took place in Afghanistan, but six happened elsewhere in classified or undisclosed sites, a sharp increase from prior years. Hispanic Activists Organizing in Support of Tougher Immigration Laws [+video]

HAPedro Rivera is 53 years old, Hispanic, and a retired military man. He’s also part of a growing number of Hispanic Texans pushing for stronger immigration enforcement, including the passage of SB 185, which would stop cities from implementing policies banning local cops from asking immigration-related questions.

“I’m an American citizen and I believe in the rule of law,” Rivera said. “And being Hispanic, I should not be granted special privilege in avoiding the law. We need officers to have all the tools available to them to keep us safe. That includes asking the question, when you’re being detained for a crime or being arrested for an offense, ‘ are you here illegally? Are you a US citizen?’”

Rivera is working with Maria Espinoza, director of the Remembrance Project. Espinoza’s Houston-based organization works with families of Americans killed by people in the United States illegally.

FOX 26 News | MyFoxHouston

“This is a new initiative,” Espinoza said, of an effort to recruit Hispanic conservatives to speak out in support of SB 185.

Espinoza’s new group, which isn’t exclusive to people of Hispanic origin, traveled to Austin last week and asked lawmakers to stop Texas cities, like Houston , from adopting their own immigration related policies. It’s not a new fight. The Texas Senate actually passed a similar measure in 2011. It prompted protests, then stalled before becoming state law. Espinoza says a lot has changed in four years. Watch: Cornell Dean Says ISIS Welcome on Campus in Undercover Video

BlueThis guy is either the dumbest Ivy League bigwig ever or politically correct to a fault — for welcoming offers to bring ISIS and Hamas to Cornell University.

A video sting operation shows Cornell’s assistant dean for students, Joseph Scaffido, agreeing to everything suggested by an undercover muckraker posing as a Moroccan student.

Scaffido casually endorses inviting an ISIS “freedom fighter’’ to conduct a “training camp” for students at the upstate Ithaca campus — bizarrely likening the activity to a sports camp.

Is it OK to bring a humanitarian pro-“Islamic State Iraq and Syria” group on campus, the undercover for conservative activist James O’Keefe’s Project Veritas asks . . .

Scaffido doesn’t even blink an eye when the undercover asks about providing material support for terrorists — “care packages, whether it be food, water, electronics.” (Read more from “Cornell Dean Says ISIS Welcome on Campus in Undercover Video” HERE)

Report: Radio Shack to Sell Customers’ Personal Information in Bankruptcy Sale [+video]

Radio ShackWhen you go shopping, you probably think stores will keep your personal information safe and secure.
But now, a report says Radio Shack is ready to auction off customer information as part of its bankruptcy sale.

As CBS2’s Dick Brennan reported, the report says Radio Shack is ready to sell information they have on some 117 million customers, including names, addresses, phone numbers and other details on purchases.

This despite the Radio Shack privacy policy, which says “We will not sell or rent your personally identifiable information to anyone at any time.”

And some consumer experts say what Radio Shack is doing is nothing new.

“People are looking at Radio Shack now and they are gonna vilify Radio Shack,” said consumer expert Paul Viollis. “But at the end of the day, Radio Shack isn’t doing anything all other major corporations haven’t been doing for many years.” (Read more from “Report: Radio Shack to Sell Customers’ Personal Information in Bankruptcy Sale [+video]” HERE)

Indiana Governor to Declare Disaster for County Hit by HIV Outbreak [+video]

nIndiana Governor Mike Pence said on Wednesday he will declare a public health disaster in a small southern Indiana county that has seen a drastic increase in HIV cases tied to intravenous prescription drug abuse since December.

“This is a public health emergency,” Pence said of the declaration for rural Scott County, located about 35 miles north of Louisville, Kentucky. “Now I’m evaluating all of the issues and all of the tools that may be available to local health officials in light of a public health emergency.”

Pence spoke to reporters after meeting with county officials and representatives from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control.

Since December, Scott County has had 72 confirmed HIV cases and seven preliminary ones. Officials fear potentially up to 100 cases could be identified.

In past years, Scott County reported less than five new HIV cases each year and had just 21 residents with HIV in 2014, according to state statistics. (Read more from “Indiana Governor to Declare Disaster for County Hit by HIV Outbreak [+video]” HERE)

‘You Live in Fantasy Land’: Bill O’Reilly, Glenn Beck Spar Over Future of Republican Party [+video]

Mr BeckBy Oliver Darcy. Glenn Beck joined Fox News host Bill O’Reilly on his program Tuesday evening to discuss comments he recently made about leaving the Republican Party.

“I don’t believe you’re leaving the Republican Party because you like Ted Cruz … I think he’s running as a Republican, Beck. Did anybody break that to you?” O’Reilly asked TheBlaze founder.

Beck offered a rebuttal, saying he would financially support Cruz, but was done with the Republican Party.

“The party right now is attacking people like Ted Cruz,” Beck said. “There are more slings and arrows coming from the Republican Party against Ted Cruz than there is outside the Republican Party.”

The conversation quickly became centered around the future of the GOP. (Read more from “Watch: ‘You Live in Fantasy Land’: Bill O’Reilly, Glenn Beck Spar Over Future of Republican Party” HERE)

By Rick Moran. Talk show host and pundit Glenn Beck announced yesterday that he was leaving the Republican party. Beck cited GOP inaction on repealing Obamacare and failing to halt the president’s immigration executive orders.

The Hill:

“I’ve made my decision — I’m out,” Beck said Wednesday on “The Glenn Beck Program,” his broadcast on TheBlaze.com. “I’m out of the Republican Party. I am not a Republican. I will not give a dime to the Republican Party. I’m out.”

The host said Republicans lost him with their inaction on both ObamaCare and illegal immigration.

Bombshell Police Video Shows Secret Service SUV Hit White House Security Barricade as Bomb Threat Played out Just a Few Feet Away

whPolice surveillance video shown publicly for the first time Tuesday shows Secret Service agents in their government vehicle driving through the secured area and nudging a temporary barrier at low speed as it drove toward a checkpoint.

The incident occurred as on-duty officers and agents investigated a suspicious package thrown near the White House on March 4 – and an accompanying threat that it contained a bomb.

The House Oversight Committee showed the video from the Washington Metropolitan Police Department during a hearing on Capitol Hill.

Secret Service Director Joseph Clancy was testifying for the third time about the incident, in which two senior agents are accused of drinking before driving into the White House complex and pushing the barrier with the SUV’s bumper . . .

Utah Republican Rep. Jason Chaffetz, the committee’s chairman, angrily recounted a series of events including an 11-minutes stretch of time the Secret Service let the suspicious package lay near the White House before evacuating the area. Woman Arrested for Throwing Molotov Cocktail at Pro-Lifers In Front of Planned Parenthood

cocktailA woman who police say threw a Molotov cocktail at a group of women praying in front of a Planned Parenthood clinic on Monday evening, has been charged with aggravated assault. Austin police and members of the bomb squad responded to E. Ben White Boulevard after receiving a call shortly after 6 p.m.

According to the executive director of Central Texas Coalition for Life, the group was able to record part of the suspect’s license plate number before she drove away, which led police to 52-year-old Melanie Toney. Toney was pulled over less than three miles away from the clinic.

“This is definitely the first time that something of this nature has been thrown at us that’s actually threatened and put people in danger, so it’s obviously very alarming,” said Heather Gardner, executive director of Central Texas Coalition for Life. She said people have thrown objects at them before, but nothing like this.

Ruth Allwein is a volunteer of the pro-life campaign called 40 Days For Life, which hosts peaceful protests by praying in front of an abortion clinic, and was outside the Planned Parenthood when the incident took place.

“It had a lit wick, so my first instinct was to back away, then I wasn’t sure what to do,” said Allwein. “I ended up coming over and stamping on it, so it was a little bit nerve-racking. I thought about leaving it alone but then my thought was, ‘What if it explodes, what’s going to happen?’ So I decided it was worth coming back coming back over here and doing something about it.” (Read more from “Woman Arrested for Throwing Molotov Cocktail at Pro-Lifers In Front of Planned Parenthood” HERE)

[Editor’s note: the below video is incredibly biased, suggesting it is unknown whether the alleged attacker was throwing her Molotov cocktail at the abortion clinic or the protesters. That is despite the multiple eyewitnesses to the contrary. The video also highlights past acts of alleged violence against abortion clinics. And the Planned Parenthood’s director’s statements regarding his organization’s non-violence is laughable]
