Newly elected Texas Senator Ted Cruz appeared on Meet The Press on Sunday with David Gregory and New York Senator Chuck Schumer to talk gun control, the debt ceiling, Chuck Hagel, and Colin Powell’s latest charges of Republican intolerance and bigotry.

Up against one of the most formidable Democrat interlocutors in the United States Senate, the freshman Tea Party Senator more than held his own, performing as a seasoned veteran.

If this interview is any indication of Cruz’ future performance in the Senate, it appears Conservatives will have an able spokesman on the national stage for the foreseeable future.

Video: Islamists Protest French Military Intervention in Mali, Call for Shariah, Jihad in Europe and World

The Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI) posted unbelievable video Sunday of Islamists rallying in England a little over one week ago to protest the French intervention in Mali.

The chants of the Islamists, though, appear to target the West in its entirety. Far from objecting to French foreign policy, the speakers repeatedly threaten that an Islamic caliphate will begin in Africa and the Middle East, but will eventually spread to “the whole world.”

“We will not stop as Muslims until the whole world is governed by Islam,” one man says evenly and calmly.

The video begins with a bearded individual leading chants, saying things like “Shariah for Mali! Jihad for Mali!” and “Allah Akbar!”

Video: Ted Nugent Says Barack Obama ‘An Evil, Dangerous Man Who Hates America, and Hates Freedom’

In a recent interview with Guns.com,Ted Nugent called out President Obama on his proposed infringements on the Second Amendment, accusing the administration of “attempting to re-implement the tyranny of King George.”

“If you want another Concord bridge, I got some buddies,” Nugent said.

Promoting the National Rifle Association’s Stand and Fight campaign, the iconic rocker discussed many topics, including the NRA, new gun laws in New York, the US Justice system, Piers Morgan, and President Obama.

Clearly, Nugent believes our freedoms are threatened by the latest machinations coming out of Washington D.C.

“Those that would take away the right to keep and bear arms, or infringe upon it in any way, are enemies of freedom,” he said.

See video:

In his opinion, the definition of the right to keep and bear is quite simple. “’Keep’ means it’s mine, you can’t have it. ‘Bear’ means I have some on me right now, and they’re loaded.”

In response to the Newtown, CT shooter being used as a rationale for new gun control measures, Nugent pointed out that 41 different laws had been broken in the course of the massacre. He then asked, “How insane do you have to be to think that the 42nd law would have had any effect on this madman?”

He also addressed the media’s ubiquitous question as to why anyone “needs” an AR-15.

Nugent said, “I don’t need to answer why I need an AR-15.” Speaking of the Bill of Rights, he continued. “It’s not the declaration of needs. It’s not the bill of needs. I don’t need a Corvette to go to the store for milk and bread, but I want two.”

He ended the interview by saying that he is energized and excited by the fact that there is a growing movement of people who celebrate the spirit of the Second Amendment, and warned of a bellicose undercurrent to the push for new gun control measures.

“When a man can dictate to another man an unarmed helplessness, such a dictator is dangerous.”

But he didn’t stop there, further stating that the President is “an evil, dangerous man, who hates America, and hates freedom.”

Video: Failed Assassination Attempt on Bulgarian Politician Captured Live

A prominent Bulgarian politician survived what appeared to be a dramatic point-blank assassination attempt on Saturday, when an unidentified man pointed a gas pistol at his head and fired in front of hundreds of horrified onlookers.

Ahmed Dogan, leader and founder of the influential liberal Bulgarian political party Movement for Rights and Freedoms, was delivering an address at the party’s annual conference in the capital city of Sofia when the black-clad man — who appeared to have a security pass to attend the event — approached suddenly with the pistol.

Attendees gasped as the attacker placed the gun inches from Dogan’s head and pulled the trigger twice. When no shot rang out, Dogan wrestled briefly with the man as audience members and security staff swooped in from off stage.

Gas pistols are normally used for non-lethal self-defense, but they can cause fatal injuries when fired at close range.

The 25-year-old assailant, who authorities have determined has a criminal history of robbery and drug possession, was then beaten and kicked savagely by the assembled crowd.

Video: Danny Glover Claims 2nd Amendment Was Designed to Protect Slavery, Kill Indians

The Constitution’s Second Amendment was created to bolster slavery and capture land from Native Americans, award winning actor Danny Glover told a group of students at a Texas A&M sponsored event on Thursday.

Actor Danny Glover told students at Texas A&M University the intent of the Second Amendment was to protect slavery. “I don’t know if you know the genesis of the right to bear arms,” he said. “The Second Amendment comes from the right to protect themselves from slave revolts, and from uprisings by Native Americans.”

“A revolt from people who were stolen from their land or revolt from people whose land was stolen from, that’s what the genesis of the second amendment is,” he continued.

Glover, best known for roles in the “Lethal Weapon” franchise and “Angels in the Outfield,” was addressing students at an event being held in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Director of Texas A&M’s Memorial Student Center, Luke Altendorf, told Campus Reform on Friday that the university was unaware of Glover’ talking points prior to his speech.

Video: NRA Calls Obama An Elitist Hypocrite, Says ‘America Speaks for Itself’

By The Telegraph. The US gun lobby lashed out at President Barack Obama on Tuesday as an “elitist hypocrite” for providing Secret Service protection to his daughters but balking at having armed guards in all schools.

In a 35-second video released on its website, the National Rifle Association slammed the duplicity of “protection for their kids, and gun-free zones for ours,” amid a heated, nationwide gun control debate in the wake of a deadly school shooting.

The advert was released just a day before President Obama unveiled new measures aimed at increasing gun control across the US.

The president called for a ban on the sale of “military-style assault weapons” such as the rifle used at Sandy Hook elementary on December 14, noting that former President Ronald Reagan, the hero of today’s Republican Party, urged Washington to prohibit their manufacture in 1994.

Video: James O’Keefe Busts Media Hypocrites On Gun-Free Zones

Gun-control advocates claim that if we got rid of all the guns, if we rounded them all up and melted them down to make decorative planters and such, there’d be no more crime. No more guns = no more gun crime. Yay!

When people who actually have some common sense hear this, they retort that disarming law-abiding citizens only makes them more vulnerable to criminals, who don’t obey laws because they’re, y’know… criminals. The Second Amendment doesn’t stop being a right just because someone abuses it, and it’s immoral to punish good people for the actions of bad people.

It’s easy to write an op-ed about gun control, or to spout off about it on TV. But how many of these gun-grabbing pundits and “journalists” would be willing to practice what they preach? How many of them would want everybody in the neighborhoods where they live to know that there are no guns on their premises?

Mark Levin Calls Out Obama’s UnConstitutional ‘Imperial Presidency,’ Says President’s ‘Arrogant as Hell’

In this must-see video, Mark Levin rails against Obama:

I’m not into imperial presidents who act imperial and speak imperial and Obama forgets there’s a Constitution. Yes, he keeps telling us he won re-election, congratulations. But guess what, the Constitution wasn’t up for election. It’s not up for a plebiscite or referendum. He has to comply with it, too. He was sent back to Washington, but he’s got a strict list of rules that he has to follow as president.

So when he gets up there and starts saying, ‘If Congress doesn’t do this I’m going to do this unilaterally,’ it violates separation of powers a lot of the time.

And this a man who’s been pushing the edge of the envelope as far as I’m concerned, whether it’s the appointment clause, whether it’s his unilateral on immigration, whether it’s his trashing the commerce clause and tax clause under ObamaCare. Now they’re talking about executive orders on the Second Amendment. They’ve issued regulations on the First Amendment attacking religious liberty. This notion that he might be able to lift the debt ceiling, you know, unilaterally under the 14th amendment.
