In a heartwarming and courageous display of bravery, two Vermont State Troopers successfully rescued an eight-year-old girl who had fallen through the ice into a frigid pond in northwestern Vermont. The incident, which occurred on December 17, was captured on a recently released police video.

Trooper Michelle Archer, engaged in routine patrol, swiftly responded to a distress call regarding two young girls who had fallen through the ice into a private pond in the town of Cambridge. While a bystander managed to pull one of the girls, aged six, to safety, the other, an eight-year-old, remained in the icy water.

The video captures Trooper Archer’s heroic actions. She retrieved a flotation device from her police cruiser, threw it along with a rope into the water, and courageously jumped in. Swimming towards the distressed girl, she successfully reached her, applied life-saving measures, and brought her to safety.

During the rescue, Trooper Archer urgently called for additional assistance from her colleague, identified as Trooper Keith Cote. The video documents the intense moments as the troopers worked together to ensure the girl’s safety.

The rescued girl, who had slipped into the pond while playing with her siblings, was transported to the University of Vermont Medical Center. Fortunately, she was later discharged, having fully recovered.

The Vermont State Police (VSP) officials commended Troopers Archer and Cote, along with the homeowner who played a pivotal role in rescuing one of the girls, for their selfless and heroic conduct. All three individuals have reportedly been nominated for the VSP Lifesaving Award, recognizing their extraordinary efforts in saving a life under challenging circumstances.

Senator Predicts Timeline for Hunter Biden Pardon

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) predicted this week that President Joe Biden is going to pardon his son Hunter Biden this December regardless of the outcome of the presidential election in November.

Cruz made the prediction during the most recent broadcast of his “Verdict” podcast with co-host Ben Ferguson as Hunter Biden pleaded not guilty this week in a California federal court to nine criminal counts related to alleged tax crimes. Hunter Biden also faces federal gun charges, which he already pleaded not guilty to late last year.

“My prediction is in December of 2024, Joe Biden will pardon Hunter Biden,” Cruz said. “Win or lose. If Biden were to win, I think he’ll delay the pardon until right before Hunter goes to jail. But if Biden is losing, I’d put the odds at 95% that in December of this year, if Biden has just lost the general election, that he pardons his son, and he gives him a scot free get-out-of-jail pass.”

“And so, understand Hunter’s legal strategy is delay 11 months, don’t go to jail for 11 months, and then daddy gives you a get-out-of-jail free card — and it’s why the House needs to keep their eye on the ball and bring Hunter for the public hearing,” he continued.

‘You’re Trying to Kill Me’: Tucker Discusses ‘Pro-Death’ Measures Taken During COVID

Daily Caller co-founder Tucker Carlson spoke Thursday about the “pro-death” measures he believed were pushed during the COVID-19 pandemic by public health officials with former New York Times reporter Alex Berenson on The Tucker Carlson Encounter, his Twitter show.

Berenson, who spoke out against the mainstream narrative on COVID-19, appeared on Carlson’s show to discuss his previous reporting and questions that are still remaining. Berenson explained to the host that while officials had been wrong during COVID, he didn’t think that “in their view” they had malice.

However, Carlson pushed back against the former NYT reporter, claiming he believed the government had “actively prevented people” from advancing their health naturally, and instead promoted an unhealthy lifestyle.

“One of things that I think wasn’t widely understood was the people promoting that weren’t saying we’re not all going to get COVID, because at the time they didn’t realize how quickly they could rush a vaccine to market. Of course, we all got COVID anyways because the vaccine didn’t work, but the idea was that we’re gonna to get COVID over time so that, you know, when people — the hospitals won’t be overrun,” Berenson said.

“And so that was sort of the number one concern back in March 2020, was hospital overrun. So to do that you had to convince everyone to stay home, in their view – you had to lock down everyone. So that meant you had to lie about who was at risk. That was the original sin, right? The original sin of COVID was — the original sin of the vaccines was pretending that they had been properly tested,” Berenson added. “The View” host Whoopi Goldberg claimed on Wednesday that former President Donald Trump planned to round people up and put them into “camps” if he ever won a second term in the White House.

During a discussion with her cohosts about the upcoming 2024 presidential election, Goldberg argued that inflation and the inability to keep up with household bills would pale in comparison to what Trump might do with another four years.

“What’s interesting for me is that people’s faith in the country is waning,” Goldberg began. “That’s the thing that’s pissing me off, because, in fact, there’s a reason Joe Biden ran the way he did. There’s a reason he’s running for democracy now, because that’s really what’s at stake.”

“You’re worried that you can’t pay your bills?” she continued. “Wait ’til he — the other guy — becomes president, and you won’t have to worry about it because you’ll be in some camp somewhere.”

Woman Says ‘Raging’ Stranger Tried to Break Down Her Front Door: ‘Then I Shot. I Fired.’

An Arizona woman says that she fired through her front door in order to protect herself and her 16-year-old son when a strange man tried to break it down.

The harrowing incident began over the weekend as Jenele Williams and her son tried to leave their apartment in order to go to the grocery store. Instead, they ran back inside. She said that she saw a man yelling and screaming at the apartment complex.

She says the man turned his attention to her apartment and started trying to break down her door after he saw her.

“I opened my door like a deer caught in headlights. We make eye contact and I was like, oh you’re right here,” she told KSAZ-TV. “To almost knock a door down like that, you have to be really raging.” . . .

“It was going to come down. I saw it bend in, like bend, not break or crack, just bend. That’s when I was announcing already, ‘Hey, I got a gun, I got a gun. Get away from my house.’ Then, I shot. I fired,” she said.

World Bank Issues Grim Warning: Global Economy Faces Worst Half-Decade of Growth in 30 Years (VIDEO)

The World Bank has sounded the alarm, predicting that the global economy is hurtling towards its bleakest half-decade of growth in thirty years. In its Global Economic Prospects report released on Tuesday, the World Bank forecasted a slowdown in global growth for 2024, dropping to 2.4 percent from the 2.6 percent recorded in 2023. While this is concerning news, the report also indicated a potential upturn, anticipating growth to rebound to 2.7 percent in 2025.

The warning comes amidst geopolitical tensions, with conflicts such as the Russian invasion of Ukraine and unrest in the Middle East, raising concerns about their impact on energy prices and subsequently affecting inflation and economic growth.

Ayhan Kose, the World Bank’s deputy chief economist and director of the Prospects Group, highlighted the potential repercussions of ongoing conflicts, stating, “Escalation of these conflicts could have significant implications for energy prices that could have impacts on inflation as well as on economic growth.”

The report emphasized the need for a “major course correction” to avoid labeling the 2020s as “a decade of wasted opportunity.” It urged nations to address economic challenges promptly to prevent prolonged negative consequences.

This grim outlook aligns with earlier warnings from the World Bank in January 2023, where it anticipated the global economy dangerously inching towards a recession. The report, highlighting weaker growth in major economies like the United States, Europe, and China, revealed a significant cut in the forecast for global growth in 2023 from three percent to just 1.7 percent.

If this forecast holds true, it would mark the third-weakest annual expansion in three decades, trailing behind the deep recessions triggered by the 2008 global financial crisis and the 2020 coronavirus pandemic.

As the global economy faces challenging headwinds, policymakers and leaders around the world will need to collaborate to steer a course that averts prolonged economic setbacks and ensures a more optimistic trajectory for the years ahead.

Bombshell: 200 Undercover FBI Assets at Capitol on Jan. 6, Congressman Says (VIDEO)

A member of Congress investigating the Jan. 6, 2021, protest at the U.S. Capitol estimates the FBI had 200 undercover assets both inside and outside the building.

“We believe that there were easily 200 FBI undercover assets operating in the crowd, outside the Capitol, embedded into groups that entered the Capitol or provoked entry of the Capitol,” Rep. Clay Higgins, R-La., said.

“Given the scope of the operation and the number of doors where entry was allowed or even encouraged—and the number of people that were actually outside the Capitol and that entered—we believe 200 [is a] conservative number,” Higgins said of his estimate. . .

“It’s shocking what you’re saying and confirms everyone’s worst suspicions about this,” Carlson told Higgins. “It’s clearly true.”

Based on the evidence he’s reviewed, Higgins said FBI assets worked with the local Washington, D.C., Metropolitan Police Department and U.S. Capitol Police.
