Federal Communications Commission Chairman Brendan Carr warned media outlets Saturday that they may lose their broadcast licenses if they insist on running “fake news” content.

Carr wrote in an X post he was giving broadcasters who were “running hoaxes and news distortions ‐ also known as the fake news” the chance to “correct course before their license renewals come up.” His warning came in response to a Truth Social post by President Donald Trump slamming “the Fake News Media” for what he called an “intentionally misleading headline” about U.S. Air Force planes reportedly hit by an Iranian missile strike.

“The law is clear. Broadcasters must operate in the public interest, and they will lose their licenses if they do not,” the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) chairman wrote in his post. “And frankly, changing course is in their own business interests since trust in legacy media has now fallen to an all time low of just 9% and are ratings disasters.”

The FCC chief was likely citing a Gallup survey released in September 2020 which showed that only nine percent of U.S. adults had “a great deal” of trust in mass media to report “the news fully, accurately and fairly.”

“The American people have subsidized broadcasters to the tune of billions of dollars by providing free access to the nation’s airwaves,” Carr continued. “It is very important to bring trust back into media, which has earned itself the label of fake news.”

FCC warns broadcasters over Iran War coverage

By Salon. As the war between the United States and Iran enters its third week, a new front in the conflict is emerging at home: a battle over how the war is covered by the media.

Federal Communications Commission Chairman Brendan Carr warned broadcasters this week that news outlets must accurately report on the war or risk regulatory scrutiny tied to their broadcast licenses. The remarks came after Donald Trump accused major media organizations of misleading the public about the administration’s military campaign against Iran.

Carr said broadcasters operate under a legal obligation to serve the “public interest” and suggested that networks spreading what he characterized as inaccurate reporting about the war could face consequences when their licenses come up for renewal.

The warning followed a series of posts by Trump on his social media platform, Truth Social, where the president told supporters that coverage of the war was “wrong” and urged Americans not to believe reports circulating in the press. Trump has repeatedly accused news outlets of distorting details about the scope and effectiveness of U.S. strikes on Iranian targets.

Man Accused of Crucifying Pastor Begs Judge for Death Penalty

An Arizona man accused of crucifying a pastor and placing a crown of thorns on the victim’s head has requested the death penalty so everyone “can move on with our lives.”

Adam Sheafe, who is representing himself, asked the judge last week to allow him to enter a guilty plea, so the case can wrap up quickly, saying the legal system was “dragging this out,” according to Fox 10.

Sheafe, 51, is accused of murdering William Schonemann, the pastor of New River Bible Chapel, in April 2025 before mutilating the man’s body. Schonemann was found dead with his arms spread out in his bed and his hands pinned to a wall, authorities said.

The suspect previously confessed to the crime and has never claimed to be innocent.

“From day one, I’ve said I did this. These are the reasons why I did this, and I’m not contesting anything,” he told the court on Thursday, according to Fox 10. “And my speedy trial rights went from five months to basically two and a half years. Virgin founder Richard Branson — 1,504th on the Forbes list with $2.8 billion — lives on a private island in the British Virgin Islands a short 20-minute helicopter ride from Epstein’s “pedo island,” and gushed in emails about Russian girls Epstein brought him. Media, 29 Federal Judges Freak Out Over Rude Words In Dissent Attacking Trans Child Abuse

Judge Lawrence VanDyke pre-emptively nuked corporate-media pearl-clutching in his recent dissent from a Ninth Circuit decision forcing a nude, female-only Korean spa frequented by minors to admit men in the name of “trans rights.”

“Squirm as we might, I think it’s only fair for our court to have a small taste of its own medicine,” VanDyke wrote. “Sometimes, ‘dignified’ words are employed to mask a legal abomination.”

This was part of VanDyke’s defense for opening his dissent with: “This is a case about swinging dicks. The Christian owners of Olympus Spa — a traditional Korean, women-only, nude spa — understandably don’t want them in their spa. Their female employees and female clients don’t want them in their spa either. But Washington State insists on them. And now so does the Ninth Circuit.” He continues:

You may think that swinging dicks shouldn’t appear in a judicial opinion. You’re not wrong. But as much as you might understandably be shocked and displeased to merely encounter that phrase in this opinion, I hope we can all agree that it is far more jarring for the unsuspecting and exposed women at Olympus Spa — someo as young as thirteen — to be visually assaulted by the real thing.

Hackers Who Breached FBI Epstein Files Were So Disturbed by the Evidence They Threatened to Report It to the FBI

A strange cybersecurity incident involving files connected to disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein has come to light after newly released U.S. Justice Department records revealed that hackers once infiltrated an FBI server — only to threaten to report the breach to the FBI themselves.

According to documents and reporting reviewed by Reuters, a hacker gained access on Feb. 12, 2023, to a server inside the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s New York Field Office. The system was connected to the bureau’s Child Exploitation Forensic Lab, which stores digital evidence used in investigations involving child exploitation cases, including material related to Epstein.

The intrusion reportedly occurred after a system used for handling digital evidence was left vulnerable while being configured for remote access by FBI Special Agent Aaron Spivack. The breach was discovered the following day when Spivack logged into his workstation and found a message indicating the network had been compromised.

Logs also showed suspicious internet activity and evidence that someone had browsed files tied to the Epstein investigation.

In a bizarre twist, the intruder apparently did not realize the system belonged to the FBI at first. After encountering files containing evidence from child exploitation investigations, the hacker left a note saying they were disturbed by what they had found and threatened to report the server’s owner to federal authorities.

FBI personnel later contacted the hacker through a video call and showed official credentials to confirm that the system was, in fact, operated by law enforcement.
Investigators still have not identified the individual responsible for the intrusion, though officials believe it was likely carried out by a foreign cybercriminal rather than a government-backed intelligence service.

Authorities have not disclosed exactly which Epstein-related files were accessed, copied or potentially lost during the breach.

Spivack later documented the incident in internal reports and said he believed he was being made a “scapegoat” for the security lapse. He reportedly blamed confusing internal IT procedures and unclear guidance for leaving the system exposed. The results of the FBI’s internal investigation into the breach have not been made public.

President Trump ordered Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, who was in the middle of an interview, to the White House Situation Room as the administration deals with the financial fallout of the Iran war.

Bessent, 63, was speaking with Sky News’ Wilfred Frost of “The Master Investor Podcast” on Thursday inside the Treasury Department’s Cash Room when an aide suddenly interrupted roughly 13 minutes into the conversation.

“The president wants you right away,” the aide told Bessent from off-camera, according to a clip shared on X by the outlet.

A microphone was removed from Bessent’s jacket as he left the building at 10:22 a.m., according to the outlet’s timestamp. The top economic official returned nearly two hours later.

Aging could slow down with one common daily habit: ‘Live longer and better’

Aging can’t be stopped, but a daily pill could slow it down, according to new research led by Mass General Brigham in Boston.

Among people who took a multivitamin every day for two years, biological aging slowed down by about four months, found the study, which was published in Nature Medicine.

Biological aging refers to the pace of aging on a cellular level, which is often different from chronological age.

The findings came from a large randomized clinical trial of nearly 1,000 healthy older adults averaging 70 years of age. The participants were divided into four groups — one took a daily multivitamin-multimineral supplement along with a cocoa extract, one took a daily cocoa extract and placebo, one took a placebo and multivitamin, and one took just a placebo, according to the study press release.

The researchers analyzed blood samples taken from the participants at three points during the study, looking at five biomarkers known as “epigenetic clocks” that measure age-related changes to DNA.

“Aging at the cellular level can be marked by DNA methylation, where in some cells it decreases and in some it increases,” Dr. Marc Siegel, Fox News senior medical analyst, told Fox News Digital. “This is also described as epigenetic changes – or DNA expression.” (Read more from “Aging could slow down with one common daily habit: ‘Live longer and better’” HERE)

US forecasts blizzard, polar vortex, heat dome and atmospheric river all at once

Nearly every part of the United States is getting walloped by wild weather or just about to be.

Days of downpours have begun in Hawaii. The Southwest will soon bake with day after day of record 100-degree-plus (38 Celsius-plus) heat. Two storms will dump snow by the foot over northern Great Lakes states. And the dreaded polar vortex will again invade the Midwest and East with soul-crushing Arctic chill.

This forecast of extremes comes as weather whiplash has already hit much of the East. On Wednesday, Washington, D.C., residents walked around in shorts in record-breaking 86 degrees Fahrenheit (about 30 C). On Thursday, it snowed.

“All of the country, even if you’re not necessarily seeing extremes, are going to see generally changing from cold to warm, or warm to cold to warm,” said meteorologist Marc Chenard of the National Weather Service’s Weather Prediction Center in Maryland. A former Miss California has accused Donald Trump of betraying his most loyal supporters after being fired from a White House religious post over her comments on Israel.

Carrie Prejean Boller was sacked from the Justice Department’s Religious Liberty Commission after ‘hijacking’ a February 9 hearing examining the rise of anti-Semitism.

Prejean Boller engaged in tense exchanges with Jewish witnesses, including rabbis and students, who were giving evidence about abuse they had suffered after the October 7, 2023, attack by Hamas which left 1,200 dead.

The 38-year-old, who is married to former NFL quarterback Kyle Boller, published an open letter to Trump on Thursday, claiming that he was surrounded by ‘heretics’ who supported Israel over America.

She reminded the President that it was he who had defended her when, at 21 years old, she ignited a national firestorm at the Miss USA pageant by declaring that marriage should be between a man and a woman. Trump owned the pageant at the time and defended her right to free speech, letting her keep her crown.

‘Round River’ FBI Op Was A Deep State Conspiracy To Thwart Investigation Into Biden Family Corruption

The U.S. attorney tasked in 2020 by Attorney General William Barr with vetting evidence related to the Biden family and Ukrainian corruption knew nothing about the recently revealed “Round River” FBI operation launched to neutralize all negative information and allegations of Biden family corruption.

That secret operation not only left the Pittsburgh-based U.S. attorney unaware of potentially relevant information, it also buried scores of derogatory allegations about the Biden family in the FBI’s prohibited access files, preventing them from being accessed by any other FBI officials.

Early this week, news broke that FBI agents had recently discovered “the opening memo and files” for an investigation branded Round River, which targeted individuals who shared or distributed allegations against the Biden family, and was also run out of the Pittsburgh office.

According to Just the News, “The files also show the bureau may have targeted the Pittsburgh office as the launching point to impede an effort by then-Attorney General Bill Barr to ask his federal prosecution team in the same city to investigate why an FBI informant report alleging Biden family corruption was not fully investigated when it first came in.”

However, then-Attorney General Bill Barr’s request to federal prosecutors in the Western District of Pennsylvania was broader. In January 2020, Barr tapped then-U.S. Attorney Scott Brady to vet evidence related to Ukrainian corruption and the Biden family. As Brady would later testify in a closed-door hearing of the House Judiciary Committee, that included information provided by Giuliani, as well as other members of the public.
