Outgoing U.S. President Joe Biden still has another four weeks until he leaves office, but he has pardoned or commuted sentences for some 1,500 people. There are sweepstakes for what the total number of will be, but there is one person – not even an American citizen for whom the Democrat’s largesse and clemency might fundamentally change a country.

The move came following the first U.S. diplomatic visit to Syria since 2012. Barbara Leaf, assistant secretary of state for Near Eastern affairs, told reporters she had informed Ahmed Hussein al-Sharaa, whose nom de guerre is Abu Mohammad al-Julani, and who is leader of the Islamist Hayat Tahrir al-Sham or HTS group which led Assad’s overthrow, the United States would not pursue a $10 million terrorism bounty on him for his role as the head of a U.S.-designated foreign terrorist group, reported the Jewish News Syndicate.

Seth Frantzman, Adjunct Fellow at the Foundation for the Defense of Democracies, who is a seasoned watcher of things Syrian and covered parts of the civil war on the ground said “once al-Julani took over Damascus and the Assad regime was gone, he was no longer just the head of some militant group. Furthermore, he has made himself very publicly available and he has had meetings with both Turkish and EU diplomats.

To keep the bounty would be impractical and it has outlasted its usefulness. Ultimately, it looks like the U.S. would like to give him and his organization a chance to moderate, and engage with the West. It is an incentive either to him personally or HTS in general to not be what he or they used to be, which is known as an off-shoot of al-Qaida.”

Lt. Col. (res.) Sarit Zehavi, who is the founder and president of the Alma Research and Education Center told WorldNetDaily al-Julani’s rehabilitation as an accepted statesman and de facto Syrian leader was “a bad lesson for terrorists to learn. WATCH: ‘Majestic’ Owl Comes Down Family’s Chimney to Perch on Christmas Tree

A wide-eyed creature recently decided to give a family in Arlington, Virginia, a surprise Christmas visit.

The family was in shock when they realized a Barred Owl had come down their chimney like Santa Claus and made itself at home, WUSA 9 reported on Friday.

The Burgoyne family recorded the owl flying around inside their home before it decided to perch on top of their Christmas tree.

Sgt. Murray with the Animal Welfare League of Arlington arrived at the scene to help capture the bird and eventually released it back into its own habitat.

“Twas the week before Christmas, and perched on the tree was an unexpected visitor as majestic as can be!” the animal welfare group wrote in a social media post on Thursday that featured pictures of the owl inside the house:

‘They Want to Groom Your Children’: University of Minnesota Fronted Cash to Get 5-Year-Olds to Play With Sex-Change Dolls

The University of Minnesota is facing criticism over attempts to pay to have little kids play with sex-change dolls.

The National Center for Gender Spectrum Health is a radical initiative of the taxpayer-funded University of Minnesota’s Institute for Sexual and Gender Health. The stated goal of the center, which is run by World Professional Association for Transgender Health members Katherine Spencer and Dianne Berg, is to “promote the well-being of all people across the gender spectrum (including those who are cisgender, transgender, and gender diverse).”

The NCGSH — which boasts of having secured over $87,000 in grant funding — put out a call in February for “transgender and gender diverse children between the ages of 5 and 10 years old and their parents,” asking them to participate in a “hands-on activity to help talk about gender and bodies!”

The flyer noted further that “children and parents will meet a few times in groups with others to play with and give us ideas about the activities” and promised compensation between $20 and $60 per group.

With President Joe Biden’s time in office winding down, dozens of those close to his operations over the years told the Wall Street Journal how aides insulated the 82-year-old and handled his responsibilities as concerns of his fitness increased.

President-elect Donald Trump’s domination of the news cycle since winning the 2024 election has allowed Biden to fade from the national politics scene. But since the 82-year-old dropped out of the presidential race, questions about his physical state, how long the president had been declining and how it was being handled, have remained unanswered. The WSJ interviewed nearly 50 people who have been close to Biden throughout his administration and they detail how staff handled cabinet officials, presidential responsibilities and campaign events.

Biden, who was often prone to gaffes and having an unsteady gait, was typically trailed by aides, Annie Tomasini and Ashley Williams, while participating in events, according to the WSJ. Those aides tried to stay within ear shot or eye distance of the president over the years, often giving him “basic instructions” like when to leave and exit the stage in an event, the outlet reported.

Aides also adjusted the president’s schedule to start his meetings later in the day as the 82-year-old was typically not his sharpest in the morning, some sources told the WSJ. Sometimes, the meetings were reportedly scrapped all together if Biden was having an “off day.” The White House denied this account to the outlet.

Damning Report on Biden Reveals How He Was Struggling From Beginning

By Yahoo News. . .President Biden, now 82, was 78 years old when he took office, and the Journal reports that administration officials began to notice signs of his age “in just the first few months of his term,” as he would grow “tired if meetings went long and would make mistakes.”

Those who met with the president were reportedly told that “exchanges should be short and focused.” Meetings were strategically scheduled and, sometimes, if Biden “was having an off day,” they were simply canceled. A former aide recalled a national security official saying, regarding one rescheduled meeting, “He has good days and bad days, and today was a bad day so we’re going to address this tomorrow.” . . .

The Journal reported that lawmakers, Cabinet members, and the public all seemed to have less face time with the president than in previous administrations and that senior advisers were “often put into roles that some administration officials and lawmakers thought Biden should occupy.” Namely, administration officials like Jake Sullivan, Steve Ricchetti, and Lael Brainard frequently functioned as intermediaries for the president.

House Armed Services Committee Chair Adam Smith reportedly sought to reach Biden ahead of his withdrawal from Afghanistan “but couldn’t get on the phone with him.” Smith noted that he was more frequently in touch with Barack Obama when he was president, though he wasn’t then the House Armed Services chair. Representative Jim Hines, ranking member on the House Intelligence Committee, similarly told the Journal, “I really had no personal contact with this president. I had more personal contact with Obama, which is sort of strange because I was a lot more junior.”

As for Biden and his Cabinet members, the Journal reports that interactions “were relatively infrequent and often tightly scripted.” One reportedly gave up on trying to request calls with him altogether “because it was clear that such requests wouldn’t be welcome.” The report reveals too that Biden struggled to “recall lines that his team had previously discussed with him” as he prepared for his interview with special counsel Robert Hur—who was investigating whether Biden mishandled classified material and in February determined that a jury would consider him “a sympathetic, well-meaning elderly man with a poor memory.” (Read more from “Damning Report on Biden Reveals How He Was Struggling From Beginning” HERE)

New York Radiation Levels Spike Amid Drone Sightings as Americans Told ‘Prepare for Worst’

A US-China relations expert fears has warned Americans to “plan for the worst” amid the ongoing New Jersey drone mystery – with reports about unexplained radiation spikes in the area.

According to the Geiger Counter World Map, which tracks radiation levels across the world, two areas in the New York metro area have been flagged as red. The areas are both said to be over the 200 counts-per-minute safety threshold. There are similar red flags further north near Connecticut.

It follows claims that the drones are hunting for a nuclear warhead that went “missing” during the Cold War.

And author Gordon Chang has told Forbes the drones could well be to do with the radiation. “There have been reports of spikes and radiation in the New York metropolitan area,” he said. “Two of them, one on each side of the Hudson. That leads to the conclusion that maybe they’re looking for an implanted nuclear weapon.” . . .

Chang says that recent vague reassurances made by the authorities have been of no help, and that it’s time to level with the public. Stage 4 Breast Cancer Patient Given 2 Years to Live Survives With ‘Fourth Pillar’ of Treatments

More and More Is Coming Out About the WI Christian School Shooter

Late on Monday night, authorities identified 15-year-old Natalie “Samantha” Rupnow as the shooter who slaughtered a student and a teacher at Abundant Life Christian School, a private K-12 academy in Madison, Wisconsin. Six others were wounded, including two students who are still in critical condition with life-threatening injuries.

Rupnow, who died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, was a student there after reportedly transferring to Abundant Life this academic year.

She went by “Samantha,” which was the name that allegedly appeared on her school identification card. However, it appears the suspect was not “transgender,” despite initial rumors, but a radical feminist who wanted to annihilate all men.

Soon after news broke of the shooting, Rupnow’s friends flagged the X account, “@Postalbrained,” purportedly belonging to the shooter. Moments before the mass shooting, the X account—created this month—posted a photograph of an individual flashing the “OK” hand symbol in what looks like a school bathroom. The account also tweeted a link to a manifesto on Google Docs; however, the document was not publicly accessible at the time of publication. . .

According to investigative journalist Andy Ngo, she posted a purported “sneak peek” of the manifesto to her Discord account, “@brainedout.” In the earlier version, Rupnow allegedly discussed a desire to “exterminate” all males, including infants and the elderly, in a rant apparently inspired by extremist culture among fringe social media circles. As fast food chains hike prices around the nation, one came out on top for being the priciest of all.

A new study found that Shake Shack received the most complaints for being overpriced, followed by Five Guys, which has been slammed for their “out of control” prices.

Earlier this year, Shake Shack raised menu prices by 3%, the burger chain’s CFO Katie Fogertey said during an investor call.

The Post has reached out to Shake Shack for comment.

Mayor Says Radioactive Material Missing From Port, Connects It To Drone Mystery

By Daily Caller. Belleville, New Jersey, Mayor Michael Melham connected a string of mysterious drone sightings to a report of a radioactive shipment that went missing earlier in December.

Melham said the drones have been hovering over critical infrastructure and residential areas in his state for at least four weeks, suggesting that their grid-like flying patterns indicate they are searching for something specific. . .

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) confirmed in an event report Friday that a Ge-68 pin source shipped by New Jersey‘s Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) went missing from the Port of Newark on Dec. 2. Melham said the materials were lost in transit.

“It was a shipment. It arrived at its destination. The container was damaged, and it was empty,” he told the hosts.

The NRC classifies Ge-68, a radioactive isotope of Germanium, as a “Less than Cat 3” material, which the NRC describes as “very unlikely to cause permanent injury to individuals or contain a very small amount of radioactive material that would not cause any permanent injury,” though it can still be hazardous to humans. New Jersey Governor Urges State to ‘Calm Down’ as FBI Looks Into Drone Mystery

By The Guardian. The governor of New Jersey has asked residents of the state plagued with unexplained drone sighting to “calm down” as federal and state authorities warned of pilots of manned aircraft being hit in the eyes by laser pointers aimed from the ground.

The FBI and New Jersey state police said in a statement on X: “There is also a concern with people possibly firing weapons at what they believe to be UAS [unmanned aircraft systems] but could be manned aircraft.”

The law enforcement agencies added that they have been out every night to legally track down drone operators “acting illegally or with nefarious intent” and warned that there could be “dangerous and possibly deadly consequences” if manned aircraft are targeted.

The warnings came as the FBI, US homeland security department, Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and defense department issued a statement that said an examination of “the technical data and tips from concerned citizens” concluded “the sightings to date include a combination of lawful commercial drones, hobbyist drones, and law enforcement drones, as well as manned fixed-wing aircraft, helicopters and stars mistakenly reported as drones”.

“We have not identified anything anomalous and do not assess the activity to date to present a national security or public safety risk over the civilian airspace in New Jersey or other states in the northeast,” the statement said. House Republicans Expose J6 Committee’s Lies, Cover-Ups, Scandals in New Report

The Democrats’ illegally established and since-disbanded partisan Select Committee on Jan. 6 ran a two-year operation to frame political opponents as criminal insurrectionists and then covered up members’ own misconduct.

According to a nearly 130-page interim report released Tuesday by House Republicans who reviewed the panel’s work, lawmakers under former Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s direction suppressed evidence that contradicted the committee’s narrative, circumvented a key witnesses’ legal representation, and deleted more than a terabyte of digital data related to the investigation.

Georgia Republican Barry Loudermilk, the chairman of the House Administration Subcommittee on Oversight who led the probe into the probe, wrote in the report’s introduction letter that his team’s findings “reveals that there was not just one single cause for what happened at the U.S. Capitol on January 6.”

“It was a series of intelligence, security, and leadership failures at several levels and numerous entities,” said Loudermilk. “Even amid multiple failures, there were two common elements that significantly contributed to the security issues: an excessive amount of political influence on critical decisions, and a greater concern over the optics than for protecting life and property.”
