Trump January 6 Judge Worried Trial Delay Will Cancel Her Vacay

DC federal Judge Tanya Chutkan has dropped a subtle hint that former President Donald Trump’s trial in the 2020 election subversion case may be rescheduled to take place after he potentially becomes the Republican Party’s nominee for the 2024 presidential election. Chutkan mentioned her plans to be out of the country later this year on vacation and expressed concern that Trump’s trial could impact that incredibly important trip.

Chutkan reportedly stated, “I hope not to be in the country on August 5,” before noting that her availability could change if she is involved in a trial in another matter that has yet to be scheduled on her calendar.

The Republican National Convention, slated for July 15—18 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, is set to officially secure former President Trump’s position as the GOP nominee for the 2024 presidential election.

Simultaneously, Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis is pursuing an August 5 start date for a separate trial involving Trump and 14 others accused of attempting to allegedly unlawfully alter the 2020 election results in Georgia in the seemingly coordinated attacks against the former president.

The federal case against Trump has been temporarily paused as the DC appeals court reviews arguments from his legal team claiming immunity from charges related to official actions taken during his presidency. Even if the DC court rules against Trump, potential appeals to the Supreme Court could further delay the proceedings. Trump’s legal team also argues that the House of Representatives’ impeachment in connection with the January 6, 2021, riot constitutes double jeopardy for a multitude of reasons.

Last month, Trump’s team unsuccessfully sought contempt charges against special counsel Jack Smith’s team for filing court documents during a stay imposed by Judge Chutkan while the immunity argument is resolved.

Chutkan, an Obama-appointed judge, has indicated that she will set a new trial start date once the higher courts decide on the immunity question. Trump currently faces a total of 91 criminal counts across four separate indictments, vehemently denying any wrongdoing and entering a not guilty plea in each case.

The researchers propose a novel theory linking neuroinflammation in Alzheimer’s disease to the entry of viral, bacterial, and fungal pathogens through the nose and olfactory system. Chronic nose-picking introduces germs into the delicate nasal cavity, triggering inflammation in the brain—a phenomenon associated with the development of Alzheimer’s disease.

Alzheimer’s disease, a neurodegenerative condition affecting over 6 million people, predominantly those aged 65 and older, has long puzzled scientists regarding its exact cause. While the buildup of the protein tau in the brains of patients is a known characteristic, the precise triggers remain elusive.

The report suggests that chronic nose-picking may contribute to Alzheimer’s by causing shifts in the nasal environment, leading to an overgrowth of germs and chronic, mild brain infections. These infections may be asymptomatic on the surface but contribute to inflammation below, leaving harmful protein plaques associated with neurodegenerative diseases.

Former President Donald Trump named two people during an interview over the weekend when asked about who he is considering to be his vice presidential running mate.

Trump mentioned Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) and South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem when asked during a Sunday interview with Maria Bartiromo about who he was considering.

“Well, I have a lot of good people. We have a lot of really good people,” Trump said. “I have a lot of good ideas, but I haven’t — and there’s no reason to do that quickly.”

He said that he would not make the decision for “a while,” adding that the top thing that he wants in his vice president is someone who would be a good president.

“I speak to everybody,” he said. “I called Tim Scott … and I said, ‘you’re a much better candidate for me than you are for yourself.’ When I watched Tim, he was fine, he was good, but he was very low-key, et cetera, et cetera.”

In a tweet, Musk outlined what he characterized as Biden’s straightforward plan: “1. Get as many illegals in the country as possible. 2. Legalize them to create a permanent majority – a one-party state. That is why they are encouraging so much illegal immigration. Simple, yet effective.”

Musk further elaborated on his concerns in another post, criticizing the low number of deportations and asserting that each deportation represents a lost vote. Former Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) may be out of Congress but his work is not done. After his historic ouster as speaker of the House, McCarthy is reportedly planning revenge against the Republicans who joined Democrats in giving him the boot.

McCarthy allies are looking to recruit primary challengers to the “Gaetz Eight,” the nickname for the members of Congress who joined Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) in pushing McCarthy out of his job.

The McCarthy revenge campaign is ready to marshal the former speaker’s considerable donor network on behalf of Republican primary candidates who are deemed strong enough to pose a credible threat to one of the eight. […]

Behind the scenes, McCarthy allies have identified three of the Gaetz Eight as the most vulnerable in primaries and thus, the ripest targets: Reps. Nancy Mace (R-S.C.), Bob Good (R-Va.) and Eli Crane (R-Ariz.). Mace and Good already have strong challengers, but Crane still lacks a compelling prospective candidate to take him on.

That quiet work shows McCarthy’s appetite for payback remains intense, even months after his October ouster as speaker and December departure from Congress. Swing-State Law May Enable Non-Citizens to Vote in 2024 Presidential Election, Experts Warn

One of the most important states in the 2024 presidential election has a loophole in its election procedures that could allow non-citizens to cast federal election ballots, experts told the Daily Caller.

Democratic Arizona Secretary of State Adrian Fontes crafted the state’s Election Procedures Manual (EPM) to permit individuals whose citizenship cannot be verified to register as a “federal-only” voter and cast ballots in upcoming elections.

“An otherwise eligible registrant who does not submit DPOC (proof of citizenship) and whose U.S. citizenship cannot be verified via AZMVD records or other record in the statewide voter registration database is registered as a ‘federal-only’ voter. A ‘federal-only’ voter is eligible to vote solely in races for federal office in Arizona (including the Presidential Preference Election (PPE)),” the EPM says on page three of its first chapter.

Hans von Spakovsky, a senior legal fellow at the conservative Heritage Foundation, told the Daily Caller he believes Arizona’s two-tiered voter registration system could enable illegal migrants to vote in the upcoming elections.

“I think it’s absolutely a possibility because if you aren’t requiring proof of citizenship, you’re simply going on people’s word that oh yeah I’m a U.S. citizen, you’re going to get aliens who register and who vote,” von Spakovsky told the Caller. It Took Approximately 20 Minutes For Kids To Revolt When School Put Tampon Dispenser In Boys’ Bathroom

It only took roughly 20 minutes for a tampon dispenser in the boy’s restroom at Brookfield High School in Connecticut to be torn down, according to a report from CT Insider.

Principal Marc Balanda sent an email out to students and their families on Jan. 24 and explained that the new dispenser had been torn down and basically destroyed in less than 25 minutes, according to CT Insider. Balanda called the incident “disgusting” and an “egregious instance of vandalism and destruction of property” in the email with a subject line that read “I am feeling ‘dis-’ right now.”

“A dispenser with menstrual products was installed in the boy’s bathroom near the (main office),” Balanda wrote. “The installation was completed at 9:30 (a.m.). By 9:52 (a.m.), tampons were on the floor, the newly installed distribution box was ripped off the wall along with the masonry anchors, and the distribution box itself was destroyed.”

The dispenser was put in place in compliance with a new law passed in 2022 and set to go into effect on Sep. 1 that requires all schools from grades three to 12 to put menstrual dispensers in female restrooms, and at least one male restroom, according to the text. Some who supported the bill argued that “menstruating individuals” shouldn’t have to choose between their period and going to school, according to the CT Mirror.

Biden Illegally Conspires to Circumvent Congress’s Refusal to Fund Ukrainian War by Straw Transaction With Greece

Joe Biden appears to have found a way around the Republican Party’s blockade of Ukraine aid using a little-known presidential power.

In a letter to Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, reported by Greek media, Secretary of State Antony Blinken said the US would send Greece a batch of weapons and equipment free of charge under the Excess Defense Articles law.

The rule states that the US president can authorize the transfer of weapons deemed to be surplus to US requirements to other countries for little or no money.

Under the deal, the US will send Greece two C-130H aircraft, 60 Bradley armored fighting vehicles, 10 engines for P-3 patrol planes, three Protector-class ships, and a consignment of transport trucks. That’s in addition to selling Greece a fleet of 40 F-35 fighter jets for $8 billion. . .

But as a condition of the transfer, Blinken said, Greece should explore ways of providing weapons from its own arsenal to Ukraine, with Greek daily Kathimerini reporting that Greek military leaders have privately agreed to do so.
