There Was One Major Detail Missing From the Hunter Biden Indictment

Hunter Biden was indicted yet again, and this time it’s really a doozy. He’s facing nine counts on tax-related charges, which could land him in prison for 17 years. As significant of a step as this is, especially when the weaponized and politicized Department of Justice (DOJ) had tried to go with a sweetheart deal, there’s still significant details missing. During the Friday episode of “The Verdict,” Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) and co-host Ben Ferguson examined how something, or rather, someone, is missing.

As the co-hosts discussed how much Hunter Biden spent on what each year over four years rather than paying his taxes, Ferguson highlighted it’s important to “follow the money” when it comes to services supposedly rendered by Hunter, which speaks to money laundering since no services were offered, and how there’s a connection to President Joe Biden himself.

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) and House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH) have also highlighted emails Biden sent as vice president using an alias, without CC’ing his son. Ferguson thus insisted “the idea that he wasn’t involved in his son’s business world is a flat-out lie.”

While Cruz acknowledged that 17 years is “not a slap on the wrist, it’s not mild,” it still “enrages” him that the president’s name isn’t even mentioned. How they managed to keep the president’s name out of there, as Ferguson asked, is thanks to the DOJ and how they’ve been not only “profoundly politicized,” as Cruz mentioned earlier in the podcast, but also has been “obsessively focused on ‘protect the big guy.'”

At one point, the Democrats and the mainstream media have focused on how the president is just out to protect his son, an individual overcome with grief and who thus turned to the kind of lifestyle he did, which included the use of drugs. Vivek Ramaswamy Has Embarrassing Bathroom Hot Mic Moment

Presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy had an embarrassing hot mic moment during an X Spaces broadcast in front of over 100,000 users when it sounded as if he had been relieving himself in the bathroom after forgetting to hit the mute button on his phone.

Deemed “pissgate” by the internet, the moment occurred as X owner Elon Musk explained his decision to allow famed conspiracy theorist Alex Jones back onto the platform after a lengthy ban. It was then that Vivek Ramaswamy uttered these prophetic words, “Gentlemen, I have to go.” And by “go,” he meant go…

As the conversation persisted, what sounded like someone urinating could be heard, though it is possible the sound could have been from hand-washing, considering no flush could be heard.

“Somebody’s got their phone in the bathroom,” Alex Jones said. . .

After some brief laughs, Ramaswamy apologized before returning to the Spaces conversation.

Hunter Biden Indicted on Nine Charges, Including Felonies

Hunter Biden, son of President Joe Biden, is indicted on nine charges, including three felonies, related to tax evasion, failure to file taxes, and submitting fraudulent tax returns. The 56-page indictment, filed in a federal court in Los Angeles, alleges that Hunter Biden engaged in a four-year scheme to evade taxes totaling at least $1.4 million for the tax years 2016 through 2019.

The charges, brought by Special Counsel David Weiss and assigned to Judge Mark Scarsi, claim that Hunter Biden spent millions on an extravagant lifestyle instead of fulfilling his tax obligations. The indictment accuses him of willfully failing to pay taxes for the specified years, despite having access to funds to cover these liabilities.

Attorney General Merrick Garland appointed Weiss as special counsel in August to oversee the investigation into Hunter Biden. The Justice Department stated that if convicted, Hunter Biden could face a maximum of 17 years in prison.

The case originated from Hunter Biden’s overseas business dealings, particularly his involvement with Ukrainian energy company Burisma and a Chinese private equity fund. Despite a plea deal falling apart in July, the new tax case brings to light allegations of false business deductions and manipulation of the payroll and tax withholding process within Hunter Biden’s company.

Report: Here’s Who Melania Wants Trump to Pick for VP

Melania Trump is pushing for her husband to pick Tucker Carlson as his 2024 running mate if he secures the Republican nomination for president, according to a report.

The former first lady believes the ex-Fox News host would be a “powerful onstage extension” of her husband, former President Donald Trump, according to Axios.

But there is stiff competition, as Trump, 77, is also considering more politically experienced candidates for the No. 2 post — such as Sen. J.D. Vance (R-Ohio), Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders, South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem and Reps. Byron Donalds (R-Fla.) and Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.), according to the outlet.

Kari Lake, who lost her 2022 bid to be Arizona’s Republican governor and is now running for US Senate in the state, is also among the “loyalist”-types that Trump is reportedly considering for vice president.

Despite being Melania’s preferred choice, the former president’s staff and people close to him reportedly fear that Carlson would “outshine” Donald Trump and that the talk show host “can’t be controlled,” according to Axios. Ramaswamy Absolutely Obliterates DeSantis, Nikki Haley, and Chris Christie in GOP Debate (VIDEO)

In the fourth GOP presidential debate, Vivek Ramaswamy delivered a performance that not only captivated the audience but also visibly stunned fellow candidate Nikki Haley. Known for his assertive and articulate style, Ramaswamy dominated the stage with a blend of incisive arguments and bold statements on the subjects of climate change, the Ukraine war, and more.

The debate kicked off with a discussion on U.S. involvement in Ukraine. During this segment, Ramaswamy questioned Nikki Haley’s basic geographical knowledge, which nullified her into a blank stare. “Look at that … She has no idea what the hell the names of those [Ukraine] provinces are, but she wants to send our sons and daughters and our troops and our military equipment to go fight it.”

Ramaswamy then shifted his focus to the dynamics of American politics. He exposed what he called the “dirty little secret” of the system, stating, “The people who we elect to run the government are not the ones who are even actually running the government.”

Ramaswamy made an array of statements that go against the GOP establishment rhetoric. “Why am I the only person on this stage at least who can say that January 6 now does look like it was an inside job?” he asked. Ramaswamy added that the Russia collusion narrative surrounding Trump’s presidency was a hoax and that the 2020 election was stolen from him by Big Tech.

Ramaswamy’s debate performance escalated when he directly accused Nikki Haley of corruption. While holding a sign that read, “Nikki = Corrupt,” he charged, “Nikki, I don’t have a woman problem. You have a corruption problem. And I think that that’s what people need to know. Nikki is corrupt. This is a woman who will send your kids to die so she can buy a bigger house.”

Florida Surgeon General Notes ‘DNA Fragments Detected in mRNA COVID Shots’

Florida Surgeon General Joseph Ladapo, who notes that DNA fragments have been detected in mRNA COVID-19 vaccines, has issued a letter asking questions related to the issue.

“On today’s episode of: What the FDA… I asked @DrCaliff_FDA to address the DNA fragments detected in mRNA COVID shots & how they are hitchhiking into human cells. DNA integration into the human genome & oncogenesis are known risks, even acknowledged by @US_FDA in ’07,” Ladapo tweeted when sharing his letter to FDA Commisoner Robert Califf. CDC Director Mandy Cohen is also included on the letter.

In a letter earlier this year, Ladapo accused Califf and then-CDC Director Rochelle Walensky of ignoring many of the risks related to mRNA COVID-19 vaccines. Why Nikki Haley Would Be a Disastrous Choice for the GOP

It seems that former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley is bounding ahead in a hypothetical matchup with Joe Biden. Although Haley has not been able to make significant headway against Republican front-runner Donald Trump, who is now polling over 60% as his party’s preferred presidential candidate in the primaries, Haley would beat Biden by the largest margin among active Republican candidates — possibly by as much as 10 points. . .

Haley has been doing her publicity with massive assistance from the Republican-neoconservative establishment. The Wall Street Journal has all but endorsed her already. The New York Post and the rest of the Murdoch media empire can’t say enough nice things about her. In fact, they can’t mention her without lapsing into spasms of rapture while railing against Trump.

I recently listened to a conversation on Fox News between former U.S. Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.) and Republican consultant Karl Rove. It was hard to tell which mood was more dominant in this animated conversation: profound loathing for Trump or blissful adoration of Haley. The two dispositions usually coexist in Haley’s fans, who view her as the top-drawer candidate for anti-Trump Republicans. . .

The coup is being engineered with noticeable support from socially liberal business tycoons and Democratic donors who support a neocon foreign policy coupled with corporate tax cuts. (What else is new?) Haley’s campaign is starting to look like a takeover by wealthy members of the center left.

It’s also hard not to notice that Haley has spent years giving herself a biographical and ideological makeover. Although she started out politically as a white Southern Evangelical of Indian ancestry, in recent years, she has dwelled on her traumatic youth as “a little brown girl” whose Sikh father wore a turban and tried to preserve his Indian identity. Haley also went from honoring her South Carolina background to more recently criticizing her one-time white neighbors as bigots. Representatives and witnesses highlighted concerns for girls and women during a contentious hearing on Tuesday challenging the Biden administration’s proposed changes to Title IX, which would effectively broaden the definition of sex to include “gender identity.”

The proposed changes would rewrite Title IX in such a way that policies banning biological males who identify as trans from competing with or against females would now be in violation of law. Issuing such sex distinctions to protect girls sports, therefore, could strip a school of its funding. The rule would be applied to public K-12 schools, colleges, universities, and other institutions that receive federal funding.

The hearing opened with a rather fiery interaction between former NCAA swimmer-turned-advocate Riley Gaines and Democratic Rep. Summer Lee (PA), who preemptively suggested Gaines and other witnesses’ testimonies would be “transphobic” and filled with “hateful misinformation.”

“And Ranking Member Lee, if my testimony makes me transphobic, then I believe you’re opening monologue makes you a misogynist,” Gaines said in closing her opening statement.

Lee interrupted the next witness to ask to have Gaines’ words taken down. Gaines chimed in, “Can I just ask, how it’s fair to be called transphobic —” before Lee interjected, “I never called you anything.”

Surprise, Surprise: Poll Finds Children Who Have Liberal Parents More Likely to Have Poor Mental Health

In a groundbreaking study conducted by the Institute for Family Studies (IFS) and Gallup, the influence of parental political ideology on adolescent mental health has taken center stage. Published in a recent research brief, the findings suggest that children of conservative parents tend to exhibit better mental health outcomes compared to their counterparts raised in liberal households.

Over the course of the summer, Jonathan Rothwell, the Principal Economist at Gallup, and his colleagues explored the nuances of parent-adolescent relationships and their potential impact on youth mental health. The study involved a comprehensive survey of 6,643 parents, including 2,956 who cohabitate with an adolescent, and interviews with 1,580 of those adolescents.

One of the standout conclusions from the research is the significant role political ideology plays in shaping a child’s mental health. Rothwell notes that being raised by liberal parents appears to be a more substantial risk factor for mental health problems during adolescence than factors such as low-income households or parental education.

The study identifies conservative parents as more likely to adopt parenting practices associated with positive adolescent mental health. This includes effective discipline, displays of affection, and responsiveness to their children’s needs. Conversely, liberal parents scored lower, particularly in successfully disciplining their children.

The quality of parent-child relationships also showed a stark contrast, with conservative parents reporting fewer arguments, more warmth, and stronger bonds with their children. Very conservative parents stood out as the highest performers in relationship quality, closely followed by very liberal parents, but still with a notable gap in favor of conservatives.

The numerical insights reveal a substantial difference in mental health outcomes. Adolescents with very conservative parents are reported to be 16-17 percentage points more likely to report good or excellent mental health compared to their very liberal counterparts. The study found that only 55% of adolescents with liberal parents reported good or excellent mental health, whereas 77% of those with conservative or very conservative parents did.

The research also touched upon the influence of marriage attitudes on parenting practices. Those with more pro-marriage attitudes were found to be more likely to engage in best-practice parenting.

Senate Showdown: Sen. Blackburn’s Bid to Subpoena Epstein’s Flight Logs Denied by Dem Senator (VIDEO)

In a recent development on Capitol Hill, Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) revealed that her request to subpoena Jeffrey Epstein’s flight logs had been denied by Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL). The contentious decision has fueled accusations of partisan maneuvering, with Blackburn asserting that Democrats may be hiding crucial information related to Epstein’s alleged human trafficking activities.

Taking to Twitter, Blackburn expressed her frustration, stating, “@SenatorDurbin BLOCKED my request to subpoena Jeffrey Epstein’s flight logs. What are Democrats trying to hide? I want to know the names of every single person who may have taken Jeffrey Epstein’s private plane and participated in his human trafficking ring. RT if you do too.”

The denial of Blackburn’s request comes at a time when tensions between Republicans and Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee are escalating. The Committee’s Democrats recently made headlines by voting to subpoena private citizens, including Harlan Crow and Leonard Leo, as part of an unprecedented move aimed at Justices Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito. The move has been framed as a strategy in the Democrats’ broader initiative of “reverse court-packing.”

Blackburn’s push to subpoena Epstein’s flight logs adds another layer to the already contentious atmosphere surrounding the Senate Judiciary Committee. Her demand, made in early November, included an investigation into individuals who flew on Epstein’s private plane, commonly referred to as the “Lolita Express.”

In response to Durbin’s denial, Blackburn issued a statement condemning the decision, stating, “This is a sad day in the history of the prestigious Judiciary Committee and further underscores the Left’s two tiers of justice crusade.” She went on to criticize Senate Democrats for allegedly attempting to undermine the Supreme Court and Justice Clarence Thomas while neglecting other issues, such as Justice Sotomayor’s alleged misuse of taxpayer-funded staff.
