Pentagon Official Arrested in Human Trafficking Sting

The chief of staff for Department of Defense Education Activity schools in the U.S. was arrested last week during a two-day human trafficking operation in Coweta County, Georgia, according to local authorities.

Stephen Hovanic, 64, of Sharpsburg, Georgia, was arrested Nov. 15 in a sting that netted 25 additional suspects on charges related to prostitution as well as drugs, weapons and warrants, according to the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office and its Police to Citizen Portal website.

Hovanic was charged with pandering — a crime that involves inducing or compelling an individual to take part in prostitution. In Georgia, it is a misdemeanor charge that includes soliciting the services of a prostitute, either for oneself or an arrangement for a third party.

Hovanic has served as chief of staff for DoDEA Americas since October 2010, according to his Defense Department biography, which has since been removed from the DoDEA website. An educator for more than 40 years, he worked as a high school vocational teacher, coach and school administrator in the Virginia public school system before joining DoDEA as assistant principal of Quantico High School in 1996. Another State Is Banning the Sale of New Gas-Powered Cars

New Jersey officials announced Tuesday that the state would be joining a growing list of Democrat-led states slated to ban the sale of new gas-powered vehicles by 2035.

New Jersey becomes at least the 17th state to follow some or all of California’s Advanced Clean Cars II rule that was passed by a regulatory board in the summer of 2022. Democratic Governor Phil Murphy said the move will help “lower emissions and improve air quality,” claiming that the new rule will also “preserve consumer choice.”

“The steps we take today to lower emissions will improve air quality and mitigate climate impacts for generations to come, all while increasing access to cleaner car choices,” Murphy said in a press release. “Indeed, together with my Administration’s continuing investments in voluntary electric vehicle incentives, charging infrastructure, and the green economy, these new standards will preserve consumer choice and promote affordability for hardworking New Jerseyans across the state.”

The Garden State joins California, Vermont, Washington, Oregon, Massachusetts, Virginia, Rhode Island, Maryland, and Connecticut in committing to implement the complete ban on new gas-powered vehicles, The Hill reported. Flowers, along with colleagues in the U.S. and U.K., has observed a notable increase in cancer rates, with younger individuals presenting advanced tumors and cases of what some oncologists are now terming “turbo cancers” – aggressive and rapidly progressing forms of the disease.

In a significant revelation, the undercover officer can be heard on the video telling his colleague, while assisting, that they “go undercover as Antifa in a crowd.” The footage, recently turned over to Congress for investigation, raises questions about the officer’s role and whether he was referencing the events of January 6 or any prior experiences with Antifa protests, such as those during the Summer 2020 BLM riots.

Former Democrat Mayor Sentenced to 30 Years in Prison for Child Pornography Charges

The former Democratic mayor of College Park, Maryland, Patrick Wojahn, has been sentenced to 30 years in prison following a guilty plea on over 100 counts related to the possession and distribution of child sexual abuse material. The 47-year-old, once a regular White House guest and mentee of Pete Buttigieg, faced 56 child pornography possession and distribution charges when initially arrested in March, as reported by Breitbart News.

The case began when the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children alerted the Prince George’s County Police Department about a social media account distributing suspected child pornography within the county. The investigation traced the account, with the screen name “skippy_md,” back to Wojahn. The former mayor allegedly used a virtual private network (VPN) to conceal his location while accessing the account.

Wojahn, who resigned from his mayoral position on March 2 amid the allegations, pleaded guilty in August to more than 100 counts related to child sexual abuse material possession and distribution. The plea deal, concluded by the Prince George’s County State’s Attorney Aisha Braveboy’s office, includes a 30-year prison sentence for Wojahn.

The disgraced ex-mayor, serving his second term after winning the 2015 election, had previously spent eight years as a city councilman. A Wisconsin native and Georgetown University Law Center graduate, Wojahn’s legal advocacy and government relations background have added a shocking chapter to his once-prominent political career.

A biological woman, “Miss Nicaragua” Sheynnis Palacios, won the crown at the Miss Universe pageant Saturday in El Salvador.

Palacios, 23, is the first Nicaraguan to win the crown, the Associated Press (AP) reported Sunday.

Video footage shows the tense moments as the crowd waited for the crowning. “Okay, the new Miss Universe is…” the announcer said as the two contestants waited and held hands on the stage.

“Nicaragua!” the announcer shouted as Palacios reacted in shock. Moments later, the glittering crown was placed on her head:

It is important to note the company that owns the Miss Universe pageant recently filed for bankruptcy, Breitbart News reported November 10.

“The company is led by transgender rights advocate Anne Jakrajutatip, who took over the pageant’s brand in 2022,” the article said, also highlighting the fact that the pageant in El Salvador was slated to feature, for the first time, two transgender women contestants.
