By Fox News. A homeowner in Washington fatally shot a man who tried to break into his home Friday, authorities said.

Deputies with the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department received a call from someone saying a man was trying to break into his home and that he had shot him. When they arrived, they found a 36-year-old man dead on a back porch, authorities said.

The homeowner was taken into police custody.

Additionally, the woman had an active no-contact order against her partner.

Authorities stated the pair argued and the woman went to a neighbor’s house.

According to investigators, the man who was shot and murdered attempted to break into a neighbor’s home before being shot.

Two House Republicans Join Most Democrats in Passing ‘Assault Weapons Ban of 2022′

The House of Representatives on Friday passed the “Assault Weapons Ban of 2022,” a bill that would ban various semi-automatic guns, though the measure would grandfather in firearms that people already own.

“It shall be unlawful for a person to import, sell, manufacture, transfer, or possess, in or affecting interstate or foreign commerce, a semiautomatic assault weapon,” the text of the bill states. “Paragraph (1) shall not apply to the possession, sale, or transfer of any semiautomatic assault weapon otherwise lawfully possessed under Federal law on the date of enactment of the Assault Weapons Ban of 2022.”

Republican Reps. Chris Jacobs of New York and Brian Fitzpatrick of Pennsylvania joined most Democrats in voting for the bill, but Democratic Reps. Kurt Schrader of Oregon, Henry Cuellar of Texas, Jared Golden of Maine, Ron Kind of Wisconsin, and Vicente Gonzalez of Texas voted against the bill.

The chant became a commonly used MAGA phrase after a sports reporter misheard a crowd, thinking they were celebrating NASCAR driver Brandon Brown’s victory. Trump supporters have used the slogan as a way to criticize Biden vocally.

In a video posted to Twitter, chants broke out as the crowd spotted Trump, Carlson, Greene, Eric Trump, and Kimberly Guilfoyle as the group smiled and waved.

Trump Shares Joke With Tucker at Golf Club Weeks After Fox Star Shot Down Presidential Run Rumors

By Daily Mail. Donald Trump shared a joke with Fox News star Tucker Carlson during the Saudi-backed LIV golf tournament at his Bedminster golf club Sunday.

The former president, 76, and the TV star who recently insisted he’d never run for president were all-smiles as they were joined by Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene to watch the action unfold at the Trump National Golf Club.

LIV arrived at Trump’s club on July 29, sparking controversy from some 9/11 victims who say the Saudi-backed tournament should not be welcomed on US shores.

The former president sparked outrage by saying there was no proof Saudi was linked to the September 2001 atrocity in New York City – which sits just 40 miles from Bedminster – Washington DC and Pennsylvania.

Sunday is the final day of the tournament in Bedminster. It will now move onto The International golf club near Boston, before concluding at Rich Harvest Farms in Illinois on September 18. Country Prepares for Looming Energy Crisis by Shutting off Warm Water, Limiting Heat, and Switching Off Lighting

Some of Germany’s biggest cities are preparing for an energy crunch this winter by shutting off warm water, limiting heat, and switching off lighting.

The German city of Hanover is attempting to reduce its energy consumption by 15%.

Between Oct. 1 and March 31, Hanover’s municipal buildings will not be allowed to be heated to a temperature over 68F. The city has banned the use of mobile air conditioning units and fan heaters.

The citizens of Hanover will be forced to take cold showers at city-run facilities. The German city will cut off hot water in public buildings, swimming pools, and gyms.

“The situation is unpredictable. Every kilowatt hour counts, and protecting critical infrastructure has to be a priority,” said Hanover Mayor Belit Onay – who is part of the Green party. “We are facing hard times due to the Russian aggression on Ukraine. Investigators Searching for the Supreme Court Leaker Have “Narrowed It Down”

Investigators searching for the Supreme Court leaker have “narrowed it down,” but no names of suspects have emerged publicly almost two months after the reveal of a draft opinion indicating Roe v. Wade would soon be overturned.

Fox News anchor Shannon Bream appeared on air with colleague Jesse Watters to talk about her report Friday revealing that the list of suspects has been shortened, citing knowledgeable unnamed sources, as there is still no word from the Supreme Court on the investigation’s progress.

“Thanks to our amazing producer Bill Mears, [we] have been digging around and found that they have started this group of essentially about 70 or so that would have had access to that document,” Bream said. “They have narrowed it down. They did ask the clerks who were then working at the court. And listen, their one-year contract is basically up mid-July. So most of them have moved on. They did ask them to turn over cellphones and sign affidavits. They asked some of those similar things also of permanent court employees.”

The leak to Politico prompted Chief Justice John Roberts to order an investigation by the marshal of the court. Hostage-Like Video From Joe Biden Is Really Freaking Everybody Out; It’s Worse Than We Initially Knew

By Townhall. . .I covered the disturbingly viral video from President Joe Biden in which he didn’t blink for nearly 20 seconds as he made some digs at former President Donald Trump and blabbered on about how “you can’t be pro-insurrection and pro-cop, you can’t be pro-insurrection and pro-democracy, you can’t be pro-insurrection and pro-American.” Well, as it turns out, there was more footage, as our friends at Twitchy covered, and it contains sloppy cuts.

Kyle Martinsen, who does rapid response for RNC Research, tweeted out such footage later that night, noting he did not edit it, but the White House certainly did.

A major complaint from the video published Tuesday afternoon was that the president didn’t blink, once. His voice also sounded croaky and hoarse though.

While Biden does blink in the raw footage video, his voice remains problematic. It even sounds like he’s slurring his words. “This law does so much more, it saves lives, including yours,” he says at one point. “It’ll help you do your job, but it’s just a start,” he says at another.

The additional footage also gives deeper context to Biden referencing being “pro-cop,” despite how members of his party have supported defunding the police.

At one point in the video, for example, Biden appeared to speak for at least 40 seconds without blinking his eyes. Shocker: ‘Conservative’ John Roberts Tried to Flip Justices to Preserve Roe v. Wade

Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts reportedly tried to persuade his conservative colleagues to preserve Roe v. Wade — but the shocking leak of Justice Samuel Alito’s draft majority opinion abruptly ended his campaign, according to one report. . .

CNN legal analyst Joan Biskupic revealed in a new story — which is filled with biased language that promotes the pro-abortion agenda — that Roberts lobbied the court’s conservative-leaning justices for months before the leak.

His reported goal? Preserve the scaffolding of abortion rights.

After hearing oral arguments for the case in December, the justices took an initial vote, which succeeded in overturning Roe. That is when Roberts’ campaign began, CNN reported.

Over the course of the next several months, Roberts discussed his concerns about overturning Roe, targeting Brett Kavanaugh and Amy Coney Barrett. Roberts reportedly wanted to uphold Mississippi’s 15-week ban on abortion, but at the same time preserve the framework of Roe. Monkeypox’s Inconvenient Truth

As the Biden administration considers declaring monkeypox a public health emergency, an epidemiologist says the easiest way to combat its spread is to discourage the practices of “aggressively hypersexualized gay men.”

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported that the U.S. has 2,890 diagnosed cases of the virus, which causes sores and open lesions on the skin, on Monday. Public health authorities acknowledge monkeypox is largely confined to men who have sex with men.

“Transmission was suspected to have occurred through sexual activity in 95% of the persons with infection,” according to a monkeypox study published late last week in The New England Journal of Medicine. “Overall, 98% of the persons with infection were gay or bisexual men.”

One in three people who tested positive for monkeypox had visited “sex-on-site venues” within the past month, the study found, and one in five “attended large gatherings (>30 persons), such as Pride events.”

“This particular outbreak has been fueled, suffice it to say, by gay bacchanalia,” Dr. Andrew G. Bostom, an epidemiologist and research physician at Brown University, said on Monday’s “Washington Watch with Tony Perkins.” He highlighted the study’s finding that those who contracted the virus had a median number of five sex partners in the past three months, and 20% engaged in “chemsex” (sex under the influence of drugs). Study Reveals Disturbing New Symptoms of Long COVID

. . .Well-known symptoms of long COVID include fatigue, fogginess and for some, the long-term loss of smell and taste.

However, a new study has found that there is a broader range of symptoms, including hair loss, loss of libido, incontinence and erectile dysfunction in men — and some people are more susceptible than others.

Researchers from the University of Birmingham analyzed the health records of around 2.4 million people in the UK, finding that those who had been infected with COVID-19 reported 63 symptoms more frequently 12 weeks after they were infected compared to those who hadn’t been infected.

Researchers of the study — published in Nature Medicine — broke the most common symptoms into three categories: respiratory symptoms, mental health and cognitive problems. Other common symptoms include loss of smell, shortness of breath, chest pain and fever, nausea and vomiting, fever, bowel incontinence, erectile dysfunction, anhedonia (lack of enjoyment) and limb swelling.

‘Night of Terror’: Female Inmates Raped When Male Detainees Bribed Guard

Female inmates at an Indiana jail were subjected to a “night of terror” when male detainees gained access to their cells, the women allege in a lawsuit.

The lawsuit was filed Friday, July 22, by eight women against Clark County Sheriff Jamey Noel and current and former Clark County Jail officers. It’s the second lawsuit filed this summer following the alleged incident, with 20 women filing suit in June, court records show.

The women claim that on Oct. 23, 2021, jail officer David Lowe gave two male detainees keys to the interior of the jail in exchange for $1,000.

That night, the two male detainees and other male inmates went into restricted areas of the jail that housed women, according to the lawsuit.

“Numerous male detainees used the keys obtained from Lowe to enter Pods 4(E) and 4(F), where they raped, assaulted, harassed, threatened and intimidated the plaintiffs in this lawsuit, and other women, for several hours, resulting in significant physical and emotional injuries,” the lawsuit filed in the United States District Court of the Southern District of Indiana says.
