Former White House physician Ronny Jackson, who served in the role under the Obama and Trump administrations, said on Friday that Democrat President Joe Biden needed to immediately resign to spare putting the country through more suffering because Biden is not mentally fit to be president. . .

Jackson’s remarks come after Russian President Vladimir Putin launched a full-scale invasion into Ukraine late last month that threatens to throw the entire continent of Europe into war.

“The whole country is seeing his mental cognitive issues on display for over a year now, and there’s really no question in most people’s minds that there’s something going on with him, that he’s not cognitively the same as he used to be and, in my mind, not fit to be our president right now,” Jackson said during an interview last month. “Every time he gets up and talks to the American people, it’s not just the American people that are watching him speak, it’s the whole world, and that’s part of what the problem is here. He looks tired, he looks weak, he looks confused, he’s incoherent, and it sends a message of weakness all over the world, and they’re seizing up on that.”

“He’s got 40 years of tape, you can go back and look at this man, so it’s not like we don’t have anything to compare it to,” Jackson said. “You can go back and look, he’s always made gaffes, he’s always made missteps, but never like this. No Progress in Talks on Ending Russia Ukraine War; GOP Rep Slams Zelensky as a ‘Thug’ Overseeing ‘Evil’ Government in Ukraine

By NBC News. Civilians across Ukraine were subjected to intensifying attacks Thursday as Russia’s war entered its third week, bringing growing accusations of war crimes against Moscow over its assault.

Fresh strikes hit the besieged southern city of Mariupol, and Ukrainian officials said a Russian airstrike on a hospital a day earlier had killed at least three people, including a child.

Russian troops also moved closer to the capital Kyiv on Thursday and could be just 10 miles from the city center, a senior U.S. defense official said.

News of the advancements and civilian deaths came on the same day Ukraine’s top diplomats met for the highest-level talks since Russian President Vladimir Putin launched the invasion of his democratic neighbor on Feb. 24. The meeting was brief, however, and appeared to produce little progress toward any end to the fighting.

GOP Rep Slams Zelensky as a ‘Thug’ Overseeing ‘Evil’ Government in Ukraine

By New York Post. Rep. Madison Cawthorn labeled Volodymyr Zelensky a “thug” and his government “incredibly evil” amid Russia’s blood-soaked invasion of Ukraine.

The Republican from North Carolina was caught on tape at a campaign rally over the weekend attacking the Ukrainian president — who, according to his aide, has survived more than a dozen assassination attempts in the first two weeks of the war.

“Remember that Zelensky is a thug,” Cawthorn said, according to a video obtained by North Carolina’s WRAL. “Remember that the Ukrainian government is incredibly corrupt, and it is incredibly evil, and it has been pushing ‘woke’ ideologies.”

Cawthorn’s comments stand in stark contrast to the bipartisan support that’s grown around Zelensky and the Ukrainian military since the start of Russia’s brutal invasion last month.

But they echo the Republican line from 2019, when then-President Donald Trump was impeached for allegedly threatening to withhold military aid from Zelensky’s government unless the Ukrainian government investigated then-candidate Joe Biden. Trump Explains Why He Plays the ‘Gay National Anthem’ at Mar-A-Lago Parties

Former President Donald Trump explained why he plays “Y.M.C.A.,” which he called the “gay national anthem,” at parties at his Florida estate and country club.

Trump joined the Full Send Podcast on Wednesday, where he talked with the NELK Boys about everything from World War III to Joe Rogan. . .

After he was asked what his go-to song is, Trump said he is a big fan of Broadway music, but that he is also fond of Village People’s 1978 hit “Y.M.C.A.”

“You know what gets ‘em rocking? ‘Y.M.C.A.,’” Trump said. “‘Y.M.C.A.,’” the gay national anthem. Did you ever hear that? They call it the gay national anthem. But ‘Y.M.C.A.’ gets people up, and it gets ‘em moving.”

Why an Election Commissioner in Texas’ Largest County Just Resigned

. . .[A]n election commissioner in Harris County, Texas has resigned for not counting some 10,000 ballots. When this oversight was discovered, Ms. Isabel Longoria decided to call it quits. This comes after the secretary of state office found that 12,000 non-citizens were able to cast ballots in the recent elections (via Just The News):

The elections commissioner in Texas’ largest county has resigned after revelations that 10,000 ballots were not counted in the Houston area in last week’s primary election.

“The buck stops with me to address issues for voters, and I did not meet my own standard or the standard set by commissioners,” Harris County Elections Commissioner Isabel Longoria said Tuesday in announcing her resignation during a meeting of the county commission.

Longoria said her resignation would take effect July 1 to ensure “there is a presiding officer during the May and June elections and allows the election commission the time they need to find a replacement. I remain committed to the office and its mission and hope to aid in defeating harmful rhetoric to ensure successful elections in the future.”

The revelations about the uncounted votes comes just weeks after the Texas secretary of state finished an audit that found nearly 12,000 foreigners had made it into the state’s voter rolls. Non-citizens are forbidden from voting in Texas.

‘No Effect’: Country Suspends National Vaccine Mandate

Last month, Austria became the first country in the world to make it illegal to be without proof of COVID vaccination, but the European nation has suspended its law after protests and reports the measure had no effect.

The government said Wednesday the law was “not proportionate to the threat” of the omicron variant of the virus that caused COVID-19, which while more contagious presents with mild symptoms.

The Austrian daily Kronen Zeitung reported the announcement was made only days before the government was set to impose fines of up to 3,600 euros, about $4,000, for the unvaccinated. . .

How Much Oil Does US Import From Russia? Here’s What Biden’s Ban Actually Means; West Hits Russia With Oil Bans

By New York Post. The US has banned imports of Russian oil and natural gas in retaliation for the Kremlin’s invasion of Ukraine – a move that will further complicate the Biden administration’s effort to tamp down energy costs for American households.

President Biden announced the ban following days of bipartisan pressure to take action against Russia’s energy sector, which went largely untouched in previous rounds of sanctions. Europe remains heavily reliant on Russian oil, even as it attempts to isolate the Kremlin in response to the invasion.

Biden and other proponents say the ban is necessary to limit Russia’s sources of income – though the president acknowledged US motorists will be paying even more at the pump. . .

While far less reliant on Russian oil and gas than its European counterparts, the US did import some supply prior to the ban. The US imported about 672,000 barrels per day of crude oil and petroleum products from Russia in 2021, according to data from the Energy Information Agency. That total accounted for roughly 8% of all US imports.

US President Joe Biden said the move targeted “the main artery of Russia’s economy”.

Energy exports are a vital source of revenue for Russia but the move is also likely to impact Western consumers.

Major brands have meanwhile continued to pull out of Russia, with McDonald’s and Coca-Cola the latest to leave.

Biden Sells Alaska Back to Russia So We Can Start Drilling for Oil There Again

The deliberate and premeditated invasion of Ukraine by brutal dictator Vladimir Putin has forced the US to reassess the importance of energy independence. With this new resolve, the Biden Administration has taken its first step toward increasing oil production for Americans by selling Alaska back to Russia so we can start drilling for oil there again.

‘Half the Country’ Did Speak the COVID Truths the CDC Director Insists ‘Nobody Said’ — And They Were Smeared

Rochelle Walensky, the director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, should be eating crow these days but is instead deflecting from her agency’s litany of Covid failures. In keeping with her track record of getting things wrong, she got them woefully wrong again — this time, not with regard to Covid but with regard to the people who disagree with her expert guidance.

During a visit to the Washington University School of Medicine on Thursday, Walensky threw a one-two punch at her critics, but it didn’t quite land. It instead only broadcast more elitist hubris and reinforced why federal health bureaucrats haven’t retained a shred of credibility. . .

In response to a different question about risk-benefit assessments a few moments later, she said, chuckling snidely (or as she characterized it, “a little bit tongue in cheek”), “I know I’m going to be wrong for half the country, so now that I’ve accepted that.”

The obvious implication of her remark, of course, is that no matter what she says, “half the country” will disagree with her expert opinion. Throughout the pandemic, this half has included those who have resisted mask mandates for schoolchildren (which Walensky admitted have not been dictated by science but by teachers union demands), those who have hesitated to get the Covid shot, those who have gathered with friends and family, and those unvaccinated with natural immunity who declined to wear a mask, just to name a few.

Student protests over an “anti-trans” speaker took a turn toward the absurd Wednesday night at the University of North Texas.

Texas House candidate Jeff Younger, who is fighting against gender reassignment surgeries for children, was scheduled to speak by UNT’s branch of the Young Conservatives of Texas about how the Texas judiciary stripped him of his right to protect his then 7-year-old son, James, from “chemical castration” in 2019.

To recap, Jeff Younger lost custody of James over not wanting his ex-wife , Dr. Anne Georgulas, to transition the child’s gender using puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones. Younger is now campaigning against gender-change treatments for children.

Groundbreaking Immunotherapy Study Shows Cancerous Tumors Disappearing Within a Week (VIDEO)

Scientists are celebrating positive results from an immunotherapy study, which showed success in making malignant tumors in mice disappear within a week.

The startling findings were made by a group of scientists at Rice University, in Houston, Texas. The group collaborated with researchers from the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center and the University of Virginia.

The study, published in the journal Science Advances, was led by Omid Veiseh, an assistant professor of bioengineering at Rice University, and Amanda Nash.

Veiseh explained that the research team had developed tiny “drug factories” — the size of a pin head — which they then implanted into mice with minimally invasive surgery. These implants delivered continuous high doses of interleukin-2, which is a molecule that works with the immune system to help regulate the activities of white blood cells in fighting cancer.

The drug-producing beads were placed beside the tumors or within the peritoneum — a membrane that lines the abdominal wall and covers most of the abdominal organs — ensuring that the drugs were at their highest concentration around the tumor and limiting exposure elsewhere.
