By Breitbart. Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg said his company is rebranding itself as Meta in an effort to encompass its virtual-reality vision for the future — what Zuckerberg calls the “metaverse.”

Skeptics point out that it also appears to be an attempt to change the subject from the Facebook Papers, a leaked document trove so dubbed by a consortium of news organizations that include The Associated Press. Many of these documents, first described by former Facebook employee-turned-whistleblower Frances Haugen, have revealed how Facebook ignored or downplayed internal warnings of the negative and often harmful consequences its algorithms wreaked across the world.

Facebook the app, along with Instagram, WhatsApp and Messenger, are here to stay; none will be changing their names. The company’s corporate structure also won’t change. But on Dec. 1, its shares will start trading under a new ticker symbol, “MVRS.”

“Facebook is the world’s social media platform and they are being accused of creating something that is harmful to people and society,” said marketing consultant Laura Ries. Facebook Changes Its Corporate Name to ‘Meta’ Amid Torrent of Scandals

By New York Post. . .The change comes as Facebook seeks to shake a torrent of scandals after whistleblower Frances Haugen leaked company research showing Instagram’s negative effect on teens’ mental health, Facebook’s struggles to stop human trafficking on its platform and the widespread sharing of false news about elections on its sites.

A defiant Zuckerberg — who has not publicly responded to calls to testify in Congress amid the scandals — indirectly addressed the issue during the event and accused critics of being stuck in the past.

“With all the scrutiny and public debate, some of you might be wondering why we’re doing this right now,” said Zuckerberg. “Some people will say that this isn’t a time to focus on the future, and I want to acknowledge that there are important issues to work on in the present. There always will be.

“For many people, I’m not sure there will be a good time to focus on the future,” Zuckerberg added in an apparently sarcastic jab.

Nevertheless, the new name quickly provoked jeers on social media, with many critics noting that the move looked like a desperate attempt to change the subject.

County Has Highest COVID Case Rate In Country, Despite Nearly 100% Vaccination Rate

With 99.7% of adults in the Irish county of Waterford having received the COVID shots, they have the highest per-capita case rate of COVID anywhere in the country. Are they now going to suggest it’s the fault of the 0.3%?!

The Irish Times reported last week that with one Waterford city district at a 14-day incidence rate of 1,486 cases per 100,000 of the population, Waterford has the highest incidence rate of anywhere in Ireland. The COVID case rate is three times the national average, which in itself has been increasing steadily in recent weeks, despite 91% of Irish adults being vaccinated. However, Waterford takes the cake.

“Waterford has the highest rate of vaccination in the country with 99.7 per cent of adults over the age of 18 (as registered in the last census) fully vaccinated,” reports the Irish Times. “The county has gone from having one of the lowest rates of Covid-19 infection in Ireland to one of the highest.”

How can a vaccine that is this leaky, and apparently even counterproductive, continue to be pushed on a population even if it had zero side effects? How many more examples of this do we need to see?

And no, it’s not just mild cases. Ireland has the highest number of people in the hospital with COVID since March, and the trajectory is getting worse. This is with the highest vaccination rate in the EU – over 90% of those over 16 – and it’s particularly bad in the most vaccinated county of Ireland. The state’s chief medical officer, Dr. Tony Holohan, said he was “increasingly worried about the rising incidence of the disease nationwide” and that the primary focus “must be to protect the most vulnerable from Covid-19.” He then proceeded to blame the unvaccinated! Gee, if just 9% of those over 16 in the country are unvaccinated and just 0.3% in the worst area, what percentage of the vulnerable do you think are not vaccinated?! Study: This $4 Generic Antidepressant Significantly Reduces COVID-19 Hospitalizations

An inexpensive, generic antidepressant has been shown to significantly reduce the risk of severe COVID-19 in clinical trials.

Fluvoxamine — a readily available pill used to treat depression and obsessive-compulsive disorder — dramatically reduces serious illness and death from COVID-19 when prescribed early, according to a study published in the journal Lancet Global Health.

There were 1,497 COVID-positive patients in Brazil involved in the study; 741 patients were given fluvoxamine and 756 were given a placebo. The study — which was performed from Jan. 20 until Aug. 5 — found that patients who received fluvoxamine saw their hospitalizations or long-term medical observation rates decrease by nearly one-third.

Government Experiment: FDA Member Admits He’s Not Sure if Vax Is Safe for Kids but Approves It Anyway; Nearly 100 Studies Show Natural Immunity Superior to COVID Vaccine

At a meeting of the Food and Drug Administration’s Vaccines and Related Biological Products Advisory Committee, a voting member admitted he wasn’t sure about the COVID shot’s long-term risk to children despite the committee voting to recommend the Pfizer vaccine for kids ages 5-11.

The committee considered a voting question that read, “Based on the totality of scientific evidence available, do the benefits of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine when administered as a 2-dose series … outweigh its risks for use in children 5-11 years of age?”

While considering the question, one member openly admitted they couldn’t be certain the vaccine is safe while advocating for children to be injected with it, saying, “We’re never going to learn about how safe the vaccine is until we start giving it.”

With one member abstaining, the advisory committee voted 17-0 on Tuesday to recommend the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 shot for emergency use authorization for children aged 5-11. The FDA is set to make a final ruling in the coming days. Should the FDA approve the vaccine for that age group, children in California will be forced to get the shot in order to attend school. Nearly 100 Studies Show Natural Immunity Superior to COVID Vaccine

By WND. As the federal and local governments double down on vaccine mandates, a new study by the Yale School of Public Health offers the latest evidence that the immunity acquired by COVID-19 infection is superior to the immunity from vaccination.

Another 91 studies with the same conclusion has been compiled by Dr. Paul Elias Alexander and several other prominent colleagues.

“We should not force COVID vaccines on anyone when the evidence shows that naturally acquired immunity is equal to or more robust and superior to existing vaccines. Instead, we should respect the right of the bodily integrity of individuals to decide for themselves,” Alexander writes for the Brownstone Institute.

He is a former assistant professor at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, in evidence-based medicine and research methods; a former adviser to WHO-PAHO in Washington, D.C., and a former senior adviser for COVID pandemic policy at Health and Human Services.

Here’s How Many Americans Think 2020 Election Results Should Be Overturned

A new poll reveals that more than one in three respondents believes the results of the 2020 presidential election definitely or probably should be overturned. . .

It revealed that when the question was, “Do you think the results of the 2020 presidential election should be overturned?” 22% said definitely, and another 13% said probably.

On the other side, 43% said the results should “definitely not” be overturned and 12% said probably not.

The results documented how the extensive legacy media and social media campaign ever since Joe Biden’s narrow wins in several swing states that ultimately gave him the Electoral College majority has failed.

Those outlets have characterized President Trump’s charges that the election was “stolen” through illegal or improper strategies is the “Big Lie.” Social media companies have suppressed not only those comments but evidence on those issues. A new Halloween-themed commercial for Twix candy bars that features a cross-dressing child had social media fuming on Wednesday.

In the ad, a young boy in a princess dress opens his front door to find a mysterious new nanny — a goth-looking witch — on his doorstep. When some neighborhood girls question why the boy is wearing a costume when it “isn’t Halloween yet,” he looks sad.

Immediately after, the pair visit a park where a bigger boy asks the cross-dressing child why he’s dressed “like a girl.” When the boy answers, “dressing like this makes me feel good,” the ostensible bully responds that he and his nanny “look weird.”

At that point, in a sequence that suggests violence against minors is a reasonable response to having a different point of view over transgender ideology, the nanny uses her magic power to call up a wind storm to blow the bigger boy away. The implication is that he may be gone forever.

President Biden on Tuesday seemed fixated on former President Donald Trump in a Virginia stump speech for Terry McAuliffe, the Democratic candidate for governor.

Biden mentioned Trump by name 24 times during a brisk 17-minute speech in a park near the Pentagon in northern Virginia, attempting to use his predecessor’s legacy to bash Republican Glenn Youngkin, who is tied with McAuliffe in polls in a state Biden won by 10 points just a year ago. . .

I ran against Donald Trump. Terry is running against an acolyte of Donald Trump,” Biden said, slamming the ex-president and accusing him of inciting the Jan. 6 Capitol riot, as well as for disparaging former secretary of state Colin Powell and Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) after they died.

Biden even appeared to taunt Trump, who frequently boasted of low unemployment rates before the COVID-19 pandemic, saying, “Donald Trump is the only president since Herbert Hoover in the ’30s to see more jobs lost than gained.”

“He won’t allow Donald Trump to campaign for him in this state,” Biden claimed. “He’s willing to pledge his loyalty to Trump in private, why not in public? What’s he trying to hide? New Study: COVID Vaccines Associated With Rare Neurological Complications

The BioNTech/Pfizer and Oxford/AstraZeneca coronavirus vaccines are associated with four rare neurological complications, according to the most comprehensive study of the side effects from the two jabs.

Using data from 32m vaccinated adults in England, researchers estimated that an extra 38 people per 10m who received their first Oxford/AstraZeneca shot suffered from Guillain-Barré syndrome, which causes pain and weakness in the limbs and is usually temporary, than would do in the general population.

They found an increased risk of haemorrhagic stroke, a brain bleed, in the 28 days after vaccination with the BioNTech/Pfizer shot, at an estimated 60 extra cases per 10m people. The increased risk was significantly higher in female patients.

A smaller data set from Scotland backed up the association between the AstraZeneca vaccine and Guillain-Barré syndrome, but did not find the same link between the Pfizer shot and haemorrhagic stroke. . .

The data covered people vaccinated from December-May and included 20m vaccinated with AstraZeneca and 12m who received a Pfizer jab, and were compared with 2m people who tested positive for Covid-19. The phrase “Let’s Go Brandon” became an internet phenomenon after an NBC reporter told viewers during a NASCAR Xfinity series broadcast that fans in the stands were shouting “Let’s Go Brandon!” while she interviewed driver Brandon Brown. The fans were actually shouting, “F*** Joe Biden!”

‘Severe Concerns’: Scientists Sound Alarm to FDA Concerning COVID Vaccine; Calls for Unvaccinated to Be Isolated Increase (VIDEO)

As the U.S. Food and Drug Administration discusses administering COVID-19 vaccines to young children, an independent group of Israeli physicians, lawyers, scientists and researchers is advising the FDA of their “severe concerns” regarding the reliability and legality of official Israeli vaccine data.

The Israeli group, the Israeli Professional Ethics Front, said it recognizes the Jewish state has been seen as “the world laboratory” regarding the safety and efficacy of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine. . .

“We believe that the significant failures underlying the Israeli database, which have been brought to our attention by numerous testimonies, impair its reliability and legality to such an extent that it should not be used for making any critical decisions regarding the COVID-19 vaccines,” the letter said.

Ahead of a meeting of expert advisers to the FDA scheduled for Tuesday, the agency released a briefing document from Pfizer and its partner BioNTech in which the companies state their data supporting authorization of their COVID-19 vaccine for children ages 5 to 11.

Noam Chomsky: Unvaccinated Should Be ‘Isolated’ From Society

By Breitbart. Famed MIT linguist professor and far-left activist Noam Chomsky believes that while people who refuse vaccines should be forced to inject one, they should still be “isolated” to protect the community.

During an interview with Kurt Gödel, Chomsky said that the topic of vaccine mandates is a “mixed story” that should strike a compromise between individual freedom and community safety, wherein the community forms a “social convention” that pushes the isolation of unvaccinated people:

People who refuse to accept vaccines, I think the right response for them is not to force them to, but rather to insist that they be isolated. If people decide, ‘I am willing to be a danger to the community by refusing to vaccinate,’ they should say then, ‘Well, I also have the decency to isolate myself. I don’t want a vaccine, but I don’t have the right to run around harming people.’ That should be a convention. Enforcing is a different question. It should be understood. And we should try to get it to be understood. If it really reaches the point where they are severely endangering people, then of course you have to do something about it.

For example, Chomsky said that if someone were to refuse the smallpox vaccine and then frequent public places where smallpox could spread, that would be a situation where the community would have to step in and stop that person. Chomsky said that we have not reached that crisis point with the coronavirus pandemic “yet.”

“So I think we should first attempt to establish conventions that will be understandable by people with some moral capacity to try to convince them that it’s your rights to refuse to get a vaccine, but then it is your responsibility to isolate yourself so you don’t harm others,” he concluded.
