Eating This Common Food Just Once a Day Increases Your Dementia Risk by 44%

Eating processed meat could raise one’s chances of developing dementia, researchers from the UK say, with just a single rasher of bacon a day associated with a 44% increased risk of contracting the brain-wasting disease.

Researchers at the University of Leeds examined data from almost half a million people to assess how eating meat impacts on health. Their findings, released Monday in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, show that eating a 25g serving of bacon – one rasher – every day could increase a person’s dementia risk by up to a half.

If processed meat is bad, then the researchers also say that eating 50g of unprocessed red meat – such as beef, veal, or pork – can help in fighting dementia, decreasing the risk of getting the disease by a fifth (19%). . .

“Our research adds to the growing body of evidence linking processed meat consumption to increased risk of a range of non-transmissible diseases,” said lead researcher Huifeng Zhang from the University of Leeds. How Kristi Noem’s Transgender Sports Veto Tapped Into the Spirit of Traitor Mike Pence

When South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem backpedaled on her support for a state bill banning transgender participation in women’s sports leagues, social conservatives denounced the rising Republican star as a traitor.

Noem on Friday partially vetoed the popular bill, warning state legislators that she feared retribution from the NCAA, which in the past has fought states on transgender issues. Noem previously had supported the bill enthusiastically, leading many of its proponents to excoriate her sudden hesitation as a bow to the state’s left-leaning Chamber of Commerce. . .

The transgender fiasco is Noem’s first since her leadership during the coronavirus pandemic catapulted her into the national spotlight. And it recalls the stumblings of another Republican star confronted with a crisis over social issues: Mike Pence. “It’s a familiar playbook,” said Ryan Anderson, president of the Ethics and Public Policy Center, noting that both Noem and Pence backed off their principles when faced with hard choices related to sexual orientation and identity. . .

While governor of Indiana in 2015, Pence became embroiled in a fight that had both gay marriage proponents and social conservatives at his throat. The issue was the state’s Religious Freedom Restoration Act, which Pence signed with broad approval from Republicans. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have finally admitted to The Daily Beast that they were not married three days before their official ceremony, as they had claimed in their interview with Oprah Winfrey.

A spokesperson for the couple conceded Monday that “the couple exchanged personal vows a few days before their official/legal wedding on May 19.”

That backyard exchange of personal vows does not constitute marriage.

The belated admission on the record, which follows several anonymous briefings to journalists, marks the end of a tortuous saga that began when Meghan told Oprah she and Harry tied the knot “in our backyard” three days before the $50 million public wedding on May 19, 2018. “Extremism is Our Biggest Threat”: Biden May Ban Trump Supporters From Domestic Flights, Planning to Track All Travel of Conservative “Extremists”

In an explosive report from Politico, Biden’s Department of Homeland Security has signaled its intent to dramatically expand its “No Fly List” to include advocates of “the kind of ideologically motivated terrorism that inspired the Capitol insurrection.”

In other words, conservative Trump supporters.

Frighteningly, DHS’s internal “discussions are part of the Biden administration’s strategy of treating domestic terror as a national security threat, and not just a law enforcement problem.” Biden’s administration is calling it “the most lethal, persistent terrorism-related threat to our homeland today.”

And the feds apparently intend to use U.S. military assets to go after these horrible domestic threats. Politico reports Biden’s desire to “use tools developed for the Global War on Terror to combat domestic extremism.”

Obviously, President Trump’s real supporters are not terrorists and don’t support terrorism. But apparently, anyone who showed up in D.C. on January 6th to protest the fraud-laced vote count is now considered by the DHS to be a domestic terrorist. And the agency’s witch hunt isn’t stopping there. Many armchair protesters on Facebook and Twitter are experiencing the same treatment from the feds, apparently because they share the same ideological motivation of the DC protestors.

Regrettably, these unleashed federal agencies won’t be satisfied with just getting you on their “No Fly List”; they supposedly also want authorization to track all your movements. Again, according to Politico, the “Department of Homeland Security is considering monitoring the travel of domestic extremists.” This would include “analyzing the travel patterns” of such “extremists.”

Finally, if you want to travel internationally, don’t dare bring your computer or any important cell phone: “[w]hen suspected extremists travel internationally, officials may be more likely to question them before they pass through customs and … search their phones and laptops.”

Sadly, the Oligarchs seem to have taken full control of the Republic. If you intend to oppose their tyranny and support the Constitution, caution is in order.

Hero Cop Killed by Boulder Mass Shooter Identified as Father of Seven Eric Talley

By New York Post. The hero cop who was one of 10 people gunned down by a mass shooter at a Boulder, Colorado, supermarket Monday afternoon was identified by law enforcement officials as officer Eric Talley, a veteran cop and father of seven children.

Talley, who had served in the Boulder Police Department since 2010, was one of the first officers to respond to the shooting at a King Soopers store in the city, Police Chief Maris Herold said at a Monday night press briefing. . .

Talley’s father, Homer Talley, told Denver7 that his son was a father to seven children, the youngest 7 years old. . .

The Democrats’ Equality Act “explicitly targets” the Bible with provisions that erase any allowance for differences between men and women, warns Yaakov Menken, the managing director of the Coalition for Jewish Values. . .

The Equality Act would ban Jews from gathering to celebrate such religious education “or any other occasion, in accordance with their beliefs.”

“The reason is simple: not only prayer services, but family lifecycle events of all kinds – from circumcisions to bar mitzvahs to weddings to funerals – are commonly divided by biological sex in traditional Orthodox Judaism. This is true whether or not ceremonies are held in synagogues,” Menken explained. . .

“Stripping this protection from religious practice cannot be described as incidental. The Equality Act claims the notion that marriage is between a man and a woman is merely a ‘sex stereotype,’ and that opposition to same-sex marriage is inherently discriminatory. Any ‘discrimination’ on the basis of ‘gender identity’ is likewise prohibited, even in the private sector,” said Menken.

“Thus, the Equality Act explicitly targets the Bible, calling it a bigoted document filled with discriminatory stereotypes. These include the idea that male and female sexes are biological, not psychological (Genesis 1:27), created with procreation in mind (1:28), and that marriage is the unique, holy contract between man and woman forming the environment in which that procreation is intended to take place (2:24). And one cannot forget that which the Bible proscribes as an ‘abomination’ in Leviticus 18:22. Discrimination: Health Insurance Company Asks Managers Not To Hire White Men

Cigna — one of the country’s largest heath insurance providers — has reportedly encouraged hiring managers to avoid hiring white males at the company.

According to a Friday report from the Washington Examiner, employees at the company have been “asked not to consider white men in hiring decisions.”

Citing leaked training documents and chat logs, the outlet noted that Cigna employees are also expected to undergo “racist and discriminatory” sensitivity training on topics such as “white privilege,” “gender privilege,” and “religious privilege.”

“Chat logs between an employee and a hiring manager viewed by the Washington Examiner detail an incident where a minority candidate with strong credentials performed exceptionally well in an interview,” the outlet noted. “When that employee suggested to the hiring manager that the company wave the candidate through to the next step in the process, the hiring manager dismissed the candidate under the assumption he was white.” . . .

Whistleblower Releases Photos of Biden’s Migrant Kids in Cages; Democratic Mayor BLASTS Biden for Ignoring Border Crisis

By Breitbart. James O’Keefe of Project Veritas released photographs Monday from inside a border facility in Texas where migrant children are being held — and taunted the White House as he did so, for denying the media access to such facilities for weeks. . .

In 2014, Breitbart News broke the story of children being held in Border Patrol facilities, which was the first report on the crisis of unaccompanied minors arriving at the southern border.

On Monday morning, Axios released the first photographs from the present wave, noting that the photographs came from Rep. Henry Cuellar (D-TX). That apparently prompted O’Keefe to release his own photographs and video footage, which he did on social media and at the Project Veritas website.

As he did so, O’Keefe called out White House Press Secretary Jennifer Psaki, who has repeatedly deflected questions from the media about when journalists would be allowed to visit the border facilities to see the conditions for themselves.

Last Thursday, Psaki continued to claim that “the White House and we all in the administration support finding a way to grant access to the media,” but declined to do so, even as she continued to defend Biden’s commitment to transparency.

Democratic Mayor Blasts Biden for Ignoring Border Crisis

By WND. The Democratic mayor of a southern border town says Democratic President Joe Biden is in denial over the magnitude of the immigration problem, amounting to a “slap in the face” to the people he serves.

“You have a breach on national security levels that have never before been seen in modern history and you’re not even batting an eye about it, you’re not even calling it a ‘crisis,’ you’re calling it a quote unquote challenge,” Mayor Bruno Lozano of Del Rio, Texas, told the New York Post on Sunday.

On Monday, Biden’s chief spokeswoman, Jen Psaki, refused once again to call the surge of thousands of unaccompanied minors a “crisis,” insisting it’s a “circumstance.”

Sen. Ted Cruz Rips Biden for Hypocrisy on Media Blackout of Border

By The Blaze. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) is pressuring President Joe Biden to be more transparent with the media about the migrant crisis at the U.S. . .

In a letter to the president, Sen. Cruz said it was “outrageous and hypocritical” of Biden to bar reporters from access to the situation at the border.

“As part of our oversight duties as Senators, I and 14 of my colleagues will travel to the border this week to talk to the brave men and women on the ground who are working every today [sic] to stop this crisis and secure our border,” Cruz wrote.

“But it is not enough for members of the Senate to see what is happening — the American people must see. That is why I requested that members of the media be allowed to join us. But your administration clearly and emphatically refused to offer press access. This is outrageous and hypocritical.”

Press totally ignores Biden’s obvious physical/health limitations

By contrast, we just watched the current president literally collapse and there’s not a peep of concern from the press.

Joe Biden on Friday was climbing up to board Air Force One when, even with his hand on the rail for support, he tripped over one of the steps. He pushed himself up only to see the same thing happen a second time. Finally, gravity got the best of his 78-year-old ankles and he fell to his knees.
