Fired Navy Secretary Confirms He’s Part of the Deep State

Most insubordinate employees would quietly disappear after publicly humiliating themselves and being fired. Not former Secretary of the Navy Richard Spencer. After President Trump canned Spencer for repeatedly working against the president’s wishes, Spencer penned an op-ed for The Washington Post titled, “Richard Spencer: I was fired as Navy secretary. Here’s what I’ve learned because of it.” In the op-ed, Spencer appears to have learned nothing from his termination and confirms everything Trump said about him and the deep state.

“It is highly irregular for a secretary to become deeply involved in most personnel matters,” Spencer acknowledges. The former Navy secretary then goes on to say how he inserted himself into the case of Chief Petty Officer Eddie Gallagher in order to undermine the president’s wishes.

“Before the trial began, in March, I received two calls from the president asking me to lift Gallagher’s confinement in a Navy brig,” Spencer writes. “I pushed back twice, because the presiding judge, acting on information about the accused’s conduct, had decided that confinement was important.”

Isn’t the chain of command something they teach in the Navy? Spencer ignored the president of the United States twice because he thought some judge’s decision was more “important”? Trump must have been so used to the deep state and that’s the only reason he didn’t fire the insubordinate Navy secretary right then and there.

“Eventually, the president ordered me to have him transferred to the equivalent of an enlisted barracks,” writes a defeated Spencer.

How to Talk to Your Left-Wing Family Member About Thanksgiving at Thanksgiving

Advice columns abound instructing leftists on how to endure the misery of conversing with conservative relatives at Thanksgiving. The genre has become a holiday tradition. The L.A. Times outlined “what to do if your crazy right-wing uncle comes to Thanksgiving.” The New York Times explained “How to have a conservation with your crazy [conservative] uncle over the holidays.” Mother Jones warned, “You won’t change your cranky conservative uncle in one dinner conversation.” Someone seems cranky, but I don’t think it’s your conservative uncle.

The articles always run in one direction, preparing leftists for their annual interaction with a conservative. One rarely, if ever, sees a think piece bracing conservatives to deal with their crazy leftist nieces. What would be the need? Politics might be religion for the Left, but conservatives understand there is more to life than politics. Besides, we live in a leftist culture. We encounter leftism every time we turn on a screen. We understand their arguments better than they understand ours, and we don’t need to spoil our dinner with banal bickering over politicians.

For the Left, Thanksgiving is about politics; for the Right, politics is about thanksgiving. The different approaches to holiday conversation come from opposing views of politics. The leftist vision of politics as a matter of rights begets an attitude of grievance and entitlement. If ”the political is the personal,” as the radicals of the 1960s insisted, then all personal interactions must take on an activist agenda. As GQ told its left-wing audience, “It’s your civic duty to ruin Thanksgiving by bringing up Trump this Turkey Day,” urging them to “consider making life HELL for a few of your relatives.”

The conservative vision regards politics more as a matter of gratitude than entitlement—duty over rights. We have inherited so much: a wonderful country, a culture of freedom and abundance, even our life itself, earned through no effort of our own but bequeathed as a gift from our forefathers. The leftist unease at Thanksgiving represents an unease with thanksgiving more generally. Revisionist attacks on our Pilgrim forefathers at Plymouth express a fundamental ingratitude for the country they gave us.

In certain leftist circles, it has become fashionable to refer to Thanksgiving as the ”National Day of Mourning” to commemorate rather than celebrate alleged Puritan crimes against defenseless Native Americans. This anti-historical narrative commits a grave injustice to both the English and the Indians: it robs the Pilgrims of their virtue and the Indians of their dignity. Worst of all, the revisionism fuels the grievance politics that ails our nation four centuries after the landing of the Mayflower. ‘Not Going to Survive This’: Top Navy SEAL Under Threat After Trump’s Eddie Gallagher Intervention

Following the firing of Navy Secretary Richard Spencer on Sunday, speculation now centers on how another Navy official will fare in the wake of the Eddie Gallagher case.

Rear Adm. Collin Green, who leads Navy Special Warfare Command, pursued actions against Gallagher after the SEAL was found not guilty of various war crimes. Against a tweeted countermand from President Trump, Green last week ordered a review against Gallagher for posing with other SEALs — who were not punished — alongside a dead enemy fighter.

Military lawyers told the Washington Examiner that Green would not have made such a controversial move without some kind of “top cover” from Navy leadership. Now, with top cover from Spencer gone, some observers are looking at what’s next for Green.

Brad Bailey, a former Navy SEAL and Gallagher supporter, told the Washington Examiner that Green’s review has caused serious backlash within the community. “Green is not going to survive this,” he said. “People are just tired of it. They’re tired of him dragging us through the mud.”

Bryan McGrath, a former Navy destroyer captain, believes Green will fall on his sword. “I suspect [Rear Adm.] Green may request to retire,” he said. “To call this unusual does injustice to the word. It is bizarre.” (Read more from “‘Not Going to Survive This’: Top Navy SEAL Under Threat After Trump’s Eddie Gallagher Intervention” HERE)

Navy SEAL Gallagher’s Case Demonstrates Corruption, Deep State Control of Command

By Sean Gallagher. In this partisan environment, people were quick to judge President Donald J. Trump’s reinstatement of anchors to my brother. . . Eddie’s case and court-martial trial revealed a massive cancer within the military justice system, doing irreparable damage to troop morale that may last decades. . .

Where was their outrage when the Naval Criminal Investigative Service agents dragged my brother’s kids in the street at gunpoint in their underwear? (A fact NCIS denied to this very publication until under oath admitted that, yes, they did drag my nephews nearly naked into the streets of San Diego when Ed wasn’t home).

Where were these critics when investigators admitted Eddie’s entire pretrial imprisonment was based on a lie, forcing him to spend eight months in a sex offender brig for nothing?

Thanksgiving is nearing, so please imagine having to spend it like Ed did last year, greeting your kids in jail where they had to wear robes so they didn’t arouse other inmates.

Where were these guardians of moral decency when prosecutors spied on our attorneys? When they hid exculpatory evidence? Illegally leaked slanted information to the media to taint a jury pool? Lied to members of Congress and then tried to cover it all up when they got caught? (Read more about Deep State control of the Navy and the injustice that caused HERE)

President Trump: I Stood Up to Deep State Control of Armed Forces With Pardons

By Brett Samuels. President Trump on Tuesday told supporters he pushed back against “the deep state” by pardoning and granting clemency to military members convicted of war crimes.

“I stuck up for three great warriors against the deep state,” Trump said at a rally in Sunrise, Fla. “And you know what I’m talking about” . . .

“I had so many people say, ‘Sir, I don’t think you should do that,'” Trump said Tuesday. “People have to be able to fight. These are great warriors. They can’t think … if they made a mistake they were putting them in jail for 25 years.”

“I will always stick up for our great fighters,” he continued. “People can sit there in air-conditioned offices and complain, but you know what, doesn’t matter to me whatsoever.” (Read more about President Trump standing up against Deep State control HERE)

Ilhan Omar Denies Being ‘Qatari Asset’; How a Fake Imam, the Krassenstein Brothers and a Canadian Played Roles in a Dubious Story About Ilhan Omar and Qatar

By Jerusalem Post. Congresswoman Ilhan Omar (D-Minnesota-5th) was recruited by a foreign government, received funding from a foreign government, and passed sensitive information through intermediaries to Iran, a Florida court has been told, as The Jerusalem Post confirmed.

Speaking to the Post, the office of the Congresswoman denied the allegations.

The claims came during testimony by Kuwati-born Canadian businessman Alan Bender, who was giving evidence in the trial of Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad al-Thani. The Qatari emir’s brother stands accused of ordering his American bodyguard to murder two people, and of holding an American citizen hostage. His deposition, obtained by Al Arabiya English, was authenticated by the attorney for the plaintiffs, according to the publication.

Speaking from Toronto by video link, Bender told the Florida District Court that he met with Qatar’s Secretary to the Emir for Security Affairs Mohammad bin Ahmed bin Abdullah al-Masnad and two other senior Qatari officials.

According to his sworn deposition, the three officials told him: “If it wasn’t for our cash, Ilhan Omar would be just another black Somali refugee in America collecting welfare and serving tables on weekends.” (Read more from “Ilhan Omar Denies Being ‘Qatari Asset,’ Despite Witness Report” HERE)

How a Fake Imam, the Krassenstein Brothers and a Canadian Played Roles in a Dubious Story About Ilhan Omar and Qatar

By Daily Caller. Foreign elements are pushing a dubious story, targeted at American conservatives, that Ilhan Omar is a secret agent of the nation of Qatar. . .

Mohamad Tawhidi, an Australian Muslim with a large social media following under the handle “Imam of Peace,” has been pushing the idea that Omar is connected to Qatar for months.

Tawhidi also spuriously accused a journalist at the DCNF of being on the payroll of Qatar for not quickly and uncritically printing storylines pushed by him, despite the DCNF repeatedly covering misdeeds by Qatar. He falsely claimed that any hesitation was because of an editor “who I can confirm works for Qatar…. It took me 48 hours to find out.” . . .

As the evidence-free story of Omar as a secret foreign agent spread on social media, the cast of characters got even odder as the Krassenstein brothers got involved.

The left-wing brothers previously allegedly ran Ponzi schemes and online financial scams, and in 2017 law enforcement seized nearly half a million dollars from them, contending it was derived from wire fraud, the Daily Beast reported. Impeachment Witness Deposition Reveals Why They Were Told to Hold Ukraine Aid

Newly released transcripts from the deposition of Mark Sandy, an official at the White House Office of Management and Budget (OMB), reveal that OMB was allegedly instructed to withhold aid to Ukraine because President Donald Trump was concerned “about other countries not contributing more to Ukraine.”

Rep. Lee Zeldin (R-NY) responded to the release of the transcripts from the deposition, which happened on Chairman Adam Schiff’s House Intelligence Committee, by writing on Twitter, “The transcript for OMB’s Mark Sandy was just released. The ONLY reason he was ever given why there was a hold on $ to Ukraine was “the President’s concern about other countries not contributing more to Ukraine.” NOT bribery. NOT quid pro quo or any other WACKY Schiff conspiracy!”

Sandy made the revelation when he was asked what reason Michael Duffey, a politically appointed official at the OMB, was given by the White House on why the aid to Ukraine was to be delayed.

Sandy went on to state that the requests that he received in early September about how much other nations were contributing to Ukraine came from Duffey.

The questions came as part of Democrats’ partisan impeachment inquiry hearings over Trump’s July 25 phone call with Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky in which Democrats allege that the president engage in a quid pro quo. Feral Hogs Kill Woman Outside Home in Texas

A Texas woman who worked as a caregiver and was found dead outside of the home of the elderly couple she looked after, was attacked and killed by wild hogs, authorities have revealed.

Christine Rollins, 59, was discovered with ‘animal related injuries’ outside the home in the 4000 block of State Hwy 61 in the rural area of Anahuac, Texas on Sunday morning.

On Monday Chambers County Sheriff Brian Hawthorn announced that the autopsy results showed the cause of death was ‘exsanguination due to feral hog assault’.

‘There were a lot of things related to the death that didn’t add up. Some of it were animal bites,’ Hawthorne said at a press conference Monday.

‘My detectives and the criminal investigation team felt like [feral hogs] was what it was but we couldn’t come close to announcing until we had the cause of death from the medical examiner’s office,’ Hawthorne added. (Read more from “Feral Hogs Kill Woman Outside Home in Texas” HERE)

What Impeachment Exposed About Trump and 2020; Republicans Plan to Compel Whistleblower to Testify in Trump Senate Trial

By Townhall. . .Democrats cast President Trump as someone who is so self-driven that he’s attempting to subvert justice just to “win an election.” That his thirst for victory pulsates through his heart so obsessively that he would break laws to have foreign governments interfere in our process just so that he could beat a Democrat.

Yet here’s the unspoken truth: He doesn’t need to. . .

He is spending way less than any of the Democratic candidates at present, with hundreds of millions in cash on hand, ready to go to work when the time is right. But the truth is he’s had hundreds of millions in the bank since his victory in 2016. . .

In 2016 candidate Trump had no track record, but he had ideas, and he made promises. In 2020 he’s kept 87 of those promises, and he still has ideas not yet implemented.

In 2020 he will likely spend less money on media than his opponent. He will focus resources into going to meet voters at his enormous rallies. People will feel heard, they will look at his track record now, and will easily send him back to finish the fight. (Read more from “What Impeachment Exposed About Trump and 2020” HERE)

Republicans Plan to Compel Alleged Whistleblower Eric Ciaramella to Testify in Trump Senate Trial

By Washington Examiner. Republicans want to find a way to compel CIA officer and former National Security Council Ukraine director Eric Ciaramella to testify in the impeachment proceedings against President Trump.

Ciaramella, 33, currently working for the National Intelligence Council under the director of national intelligence, has been named as the Ukraine whistleblower. The whistleblower’s lawyers have refused to confirm or deny this, and Ciaramella himself has not responded to questions from the Washington Examiner.

The chief Republican counsel in the impeachment proceedings raised Ciaramella’s name during closed-door hearings. In open hearings, whenever GOP questioning had got close to Ciaramella or any other members of the Intelligence Community, Rep. Adam Schiff, the House Intelligence Committee chairman, shut them down.

Now, Republican members are arguing that Ciaramella’s past position as Ukraine director and his current work on Ukraine issues makes him a relevant witness, whether or not he is the whistleblower.

Senate Judiciary Chairman Lindsey Graham told the Washington Examiner he could not imagine a Senate trial happening without the whistleblower testifying. (Read more from “Republicans Plan to Compel Alleged Whistleblower Eric Ciaramella to Testify in Trump Senate Trial” HERE)

Identity Revealed of FBI Anti-Trump Official Accused of Altering Document

Kevin Clinesmith is the lawyer accused of altering a document related to the FBI’s 2016 surveillance of the Trump campaign, according to The New York Times. Clinesmith stands accused of altering an email used by officials to continue a wiretap of former Trump campaign advisor Carter Page.

(Via The New York Times)

The email Mr. Clinesmith handled was a factor during the wiretap renewal process, according to the [people briefed on the soon-to-be-released draft of the Justice Department’s inspector general report on the origins of the Russia investigation]. Mr. Clinesmith took an email from an official at another federal agency that contained several factual assertions, then added material to the bottom that looked like another assertion from the email’s author, when it was instead his own understanding.

Mr. Clinesmith included this altered email in a package that he compiled for another F.B.I. official to read in preparation for signing an affidavit that would be submitted to the court attesting to the facts and analysis in the wiretap application.

The details of the email are apparently classified and may not be made public even when the report is unveiled.

Barr Concludes What Happened to Clinton Buddy Jeffrey Epstein

Jeffrey Epstein was found dead in his cell not long after he was mysteriously taken off suicide watch, despite a recent attempt to take his own life this past summer. The guards watching him were rent-a-cop level, they falsified prison logs, and had fallen asleep on the job. Shrieks were heard near his cell the day he died. All of this is sketch city and for once, the conspiracy theory crowd was not dismissed. Epstein had ties to some of the most powerful and wealthiest people on the planet, including the Clintons. His private island was reportedly wired for sound; can you say blackmail tapes? And the search warrant executed for his New York residence yielded troves of incriminating evidence to back up the not-so-new allegations that he was a child predator. He was indicted for trafficking underage girls and other sex crimes. He escaped justice in early 2000s thanks to a sweetheart deal he cut with then-U.S. Attorney Alexander Acosta, a piece of history that was resurrected by the Miami Herald which reported on Epstein’s plea deal which showcased what money and connections can afford you when you get into trouble. This legal arrangement cost Acosta his job as Trump’s labor secretary.

There were conflicting medical analyses as well. One saying that Epstein had killed himself, another that cast doubton that conclusion due to the wounds around his neck. The latter autopsy was conducted by Epstein’s brother who noted the neck injuries were more consistent with homicide than suicide. I mean all of this was just too good to be true. The man potentially had dirt on oodles of people; Epstein also had ties to the British Royal Family. Yet, Attorney General Barr now says that the events that occurred prior to Epstein’s death were a disaster, but that the child predator committed suicide (via NYT):

Attorney General William P. Barr said in an interview published on Friday that the death of Jeffrey Epstein, the financier accused of sex trafficking, in a secure federal prison resulted from “a perfect storm of screw-ups,” rather than any nefarious act.

Mr. Barr’s statement refuted suggestions from members of Mr. Epstein’s family that he may have been murdered. His remarks came the same week that two prison guards were criminally charged, accused in an indictment of failing to check on Mr. Epstein every half-hour as they were required to and then lying about it on prison logs.
