Shocking Photos Show Border Emergency as U.S. Deals With Surge of Illegal Aliens

By Daily Wire. Shocking photos emerged last week, taken by a journalist with HBO’s Vice TV, showing illegal immigrants being housed under an overpass near El Paso, Texas, after the local border patrol facilities ran out of room to house the thousands of migrants crossing the United States border.

This weekend, Customs and Border Protection officials moved the migrants, but acknowledged that it’s having trouble handling the influx of migrants across the Texas, Arizona, and New Mexico borders, and facilities are busting at the seams.

The photos, which made the rounds on social media last week, show recently arrived illegal immigrants in the process of being vetted by both border patrol and Immigrations and Customs Enforcement living together inside fencing under an El Paso overpass.

When Vice re-contacted CBP over the weekend, the makeshift encampment had been dismantled and the illegal immigrants were being held pending assessment on their claims of asylum.

Border patrol officials have not denied that conditions along the border are deteriorating, and that the situation is beyond their ability to manage. “Similar scenes are unfolding at border stations across the 1,900-mile frontier, where Kevin McAleenan, the commissioner of Customs and Border Protection, said last week that facilities had reached a ‘breaking point,'” according to MSN. White House Doubles Down on Closing Border

By The Week. Acting White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney on Sunday announced on ABC News’ This Week it would take “something dramatic” to get President Trump to change his mind about shutting down the U.S.-Mexico border.

White House counselor Kellyanne Conway agreed, saying on Fox News Sunday this “certainly isn’t a bluff.” On Friday, Trump complained about the stream of migrants crossing the southern border, and threatened to shut it down. (Read more from “White House Doubles Down on Closing Border” HERE)

The Anti-Religious Crusade Continues: Chick-Fil-A Banned From ANOTHER Airport

Yesterday it was announced that Chick-fil-A would be coming to the Buffalo Niagara International Airport, located in Cheektowaga, N.Y. Chick-fil-A has only recently started opening locations in Western New York, where I live, and the prospect of them coming to BNIA, an airport I have flown out of many times, was a brilliant move. Many restaurants in the food court have been obviously underwhelming travelers. Chick-fil-A, with their popularity and growth, would be a perfect addition to the airport. . .

Likely due in part to his intervention, less than a day after the announcement, the decision to bring Chick-fil-A to the airport was reversed by the NFTA.

Assemblyman Ryan released the following statement following the NFTA’s reversal:

“Earlier today I spoke with the vendor of the Buffalo Airport food court project, and they informed me they will not be opening a Chick-fil-A as a part of their airport project. A publicly financed facility like the Buffalo Niagara International Airport is not the appropriate venue for a Chick-fil-A restaurant. I applaud the decision that has been made to remove Chick-fil-A from the plans for this project.

We hope in the future the NFTA will make every effort to contract with businesses that adhere to anti-discriminatory policies, and we’re confident another vendor who better represents the values of the Western New York community will replace Chick-fil-A as a part of this project in the very near future.”

Former Democrat State Senator Accuses Biden of Sexual Harassment

Lucy Flores accused former Vice President Joe Biden of sexual misconduct in a piece she wrote about a 2014 encounter she had with him that left her “mortified,” saying she had “never experienced anything so blatantly inappropriate and unnerving before.”

Flores, a former member of Bernie Sanders’ political group Our Revolution, says that the incident happened as she was about to go on for a rally just days before the upcoming elections were held.

“Just before the speeches, we were ushered to the side of the stage where we were lined up by order of introduction,” Flores wrote. “As I was taking deep breaths and preparing myself to make my case to the crowd, I felt two hands on my shoulders. I froze. ‘Why is the vice-president of the United States touching me?'”

“I felt him get closer to me from behind. He leaned further in and inhaled my hair. I was mortified,” Flores continued. “He proceeded to plant a big slow kiss on the back of my head. My brain couldn’t process what was happening. I was embarrassed. I was shocked. I was confused. … I wanted nothing more than to get Biden away from me.” . . .

“Imagine you’re at work and a male colleague who you have no personal relationship with approaches you from behind, smells your hair, and kisses you on the head,” Flores continued. “Now imagine it’s the CEO of the company. If Biden and I worked together in a traditional office, I would have complained to the HR department, but on the campaign trail, there’s no clear path for what to do when a powerful man crosses the line.”

I felt him get closer to me from behind. He leaned further in and inhaled my hair. I was mortified. I thought to myself, “I didn’t wash my hair today and the vice-president of the United States is smelling it. And also, what in the actual f***? Why is the vice-president of the United States smelling my hair?” He proceeded to plant a big slow kiss on the back of my head. My brain couldn’t process what was happening. I was embarrassed. I was shocked. I was confused. There is a Spanish saying, “tragame tierra,” it means, “earth, swallow me whole.” I couldn’t move and I couldn’t say anything. I wanted nothing more than to get Biden away from me. My name was called and I was never happier to get on stage in front of an audience. . .

Our strange interaction happened during a pivotal moment in my political career. I’d spent months raising money, talking to voters, and securing endorsements. Biden came to Nevada to speak to my leadership and my potential to be second-in-command — an important role he knew firsthand. But he stopped treating me like a peer the moment he touched me. Even if his behavior wasn’t violent or sexual, it was demeaning and disrespectful. I wasn’t attending the rally as his mentee or even his friend; I was there as the most qualified person for the job. Fox Guest: Michelle Obama Got Smollett Charges Dropped, Here’s Why

A Wednesday Fox Business segment labeled Jussie Smollett’s exoneration a “travesty of justice” and sought to confirm conspiracy theories Michelle Obama called in “favors” to get his charges dropped by Cook County prosecutors.

Fox Business host Stuart Varney opened his Tuesday segment declaring “the influence and power of liberal elites” was on full display in Chicago this week as Illinois prosecutors waived 16 charges against the Empire star. Self-proclaimed libertarian and Sean Hannity correspondent Lawrence Jones III touted unfounded and baseless claims former First Lady Michelle Obama “made some phone calls” to have the charges dropped in order to distract Americans from the disclosure of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation into President Donald Trump.

Although Republican Senate House Majority Leader Mitch McConnell was behind the blocking of the full Mueller report, the Fox crew nonetheless accused Democrat politicians — and their wives — of corrupting Cook County prosecutors.

“We know that Michelle Obama’s chief of staff made some phone calls,” Jones said on Fox Business Wednesday. “I would also note that the reason why they released this now is because after the Trump investigation was concluded they knew during the news cycle this was the perfect time to release this.” The frequent Fox News guest cited Chicago Sun-Times, which reported Tina Tchen, a Chicago attorney who formerly worked for Obama, had previously asked Cook County lead prosecutor Kim Foxx to coerce the Chicago Police Department into turning the investigation over to federal authorities.

Oh Yeah, That Has to Be It: CNN Host Has a Pathetic Reason for Why Liberal Media Ratings Are Trash Post-Mueller Report

By Townhall. So, how is the liberal media doing after it was revealed that President Trump didn’t commit Russian collusion? Not too well. In fact, they’ve been bleeding viewers ever since the big nothing burger was revealed. Again, a lot of us knew this was the case, but the Left peddled this myth for two years. Now, they all have to eat crow. When will they be done? It remains to be seen. . .

So, yes, blood pressures will equalize, though I do wish this were more of a devastating and long-term rating blow to the liberal media establishment, which are enemies of the people. CNN’s Brian Stelter blamed the rating dip on a “slow news week.” Are you kidding me, bro? (via Daily Caller):

Stelter wrote in his newsletter “Reliable Sources” Wednesday night that viewers aren’t tuning in to CNN and MSNBC because “there hasn’t been much news” since special counsel Robert Mueller delivered his report on Russian collusion to Attorney General Bill Barr. Fox News has not been affected by the alleged slow news week, Stelter reasoned, because Barr’s letter on the Mueller findings is “being celebrated like a sequel to election night.”

Joe Concha, media reporter for The Hill, explained on Fox News that there have been plenty of big stories for the media to cover since Mueller finished his investigation and suggested the ratings drop is due to a lack of trust among viewers.

“Yesterday, CNN didn’t even average more than 540,000 viewers as a 40-year-old network with a big brand name and a crazy news cycle,” Concha argued.

Maddow, other MSNBC hosts see ratings drop, Fox up

By AP. Rachel Maddow isn’t backing away from her coverage of President Donald Trump and any connection to Russia’s involvement in trying to influence the 2016 presidential campaign. The question is how much her fans want to listen.

Maddow’s audience has dipped on her two days back on the air since Attorney General William Barr reported that special counsel Robert Mueller had found no collusion between Trump and Russia’s efforts. Her audience of 2.5 million on Monday was 19 percent below her average this year, and it went down further to 2.3 million on Tuesday, the Nielsen company said.

Meanwhile, her head-to-head competitor on Fox News Channel, Sean Hannity, saw his audience soar on Monday to 4 million viewers, a 32 percent increase from his average. It slipped to 3.57 million on Tuesday. One of Trump’s most prominent media fans, Hannity was to interview the president on Wednesday’s show. Huge Snake Strangles Hawk in ‘Life-Or-Death Battle’, Stunning Photos Show

Seventh-graders on a field trip in Northlake, Texas witnessed Mother Nature at her finest on Monday.

A western rat snake was seen wrapped around a large red-tail hawk, which was likely hoping to make the serpent its next meal. The middle schoolers came across the wild scene at the Northwest Independent School District’s Outdoor Learning Center, a nearly 200-acre site with ponds, wildflowers and wildlife. . .

Either the reptile or the bird let go of the other, though it’s not clear which one relinquished its hold first, per a Texas Parks and Wildlife-DFW Urban Wildlife Facebook post which describes the scene. The social media message had more than 4,000 reactions and 2,000 shares as of Thursday morning. . .

“The snake strikes out, secures a grip with its teeth and immediately wraps its body around the animal. Once the coils are around the animal, the snake flexes its muscles as the prey exhales. This prevents the prey from inhaling another breath and it eventually dies of suffocation,” the research center explains on its website, noting rat snakes are “bold and ready to defend themselves from perceived threats.”

Red-tailed hawks, on the other hand, are known to feed on snakes, rats, rabbits and other small mammals, birds and reptiles. The creatures typically spot their prey from a perch above, swoop down and then capture it with their talons, according to the National Audubon Society. Court Orders Christian to Pay $55,000 to Trans Politician for Calling Him ‘Biological Male’

By Life Site News. A B.C. human rights tribunal has ruled that a Christian activist discriminated against a man who claims to be “female” by distributing flyers that referred to the man, who was running for political office at the time, as a “biological male.”

The court ruled for transgender activist “Morgane” Oger, born Ronan Oger, and against Christian activist Bill Whatcott by declaring it’s discriminatory not to accept transgender people as the gender they claim to be. . .

The tribunal also ordered Whatcott to pay Oger $35,000 in compensation for injury to his “dignity, feelings and self-respect,” and an additional $20,000 to Oger for Whatcott’s alleged improper conduct during and before the hearings, it reported. . .

Oger, who is vice president of the B.C. NDP, launched a discrimination complaint against Whatcott after the Christian activist distributed flyers in Vancouver-False Creek riding in 2017 when Oger was running as MLA for the B.C. NDP. . .

Oger, who narrowly lost to a former Vancouver mayor, alleged the flyer was discriminatory and exposed him to “hatred and contempt” under Section 7 of British Columbia’s Human Rights Code. B.C. Human Rights Tribunal Rules in Favour of Transgender Politician

By Global News. . .On Wednesday, the B.C. Human Rights Tribunal ruled that Whatcott violated Oger’s human rights and engaged in hate speech.

Oger called the ruling historic.

“This win is a win for everybody who is in a community who faces state propaganda in Canada,” Oger said.

“For the first time ever, gender identity or gender expression has been protected in a B.C. court against hate propaganda.”

A Surprising Poll Says How Many Americans Believe Trump Has Been Totally Exonerated of Collusion

By The Blaze. A surprising poll from CNN shows just how many Americans believe President Donald Trump is totally exonerated of accusations of colluding with the Russian government to influence the 2016 election.

The poll conducted by SSRS shows that a majority of Americans believe the president has not been completely exonerated, while slightly less than a majority say he has been exonerated.

In the poll, 56 percent say the president and his campaign have not been exonerated, while 43 percent say he and his campaign have been exonerated.

Democrats have been demanding more information since Attorney General William Barr issued a summary of the report from special counsel Robert Mueller on Russian election interference and alleged collusion by the Trump campaign. . .

The poll says that Americans are divided on the issue based on partisan identity, with 77 percent of Republicans saying the report exonerated Trump’s campaign, while 80 percent of Democrats say the campaign was not exonerated. CNN Poll: Majority Says Trump Not Exonerated of Collusion After Barr’s Summary

By CNN. Republicans and Democrats are on opposite sides of this question: 77% of Republicans say the President has been exonerated, 80% of Democrats say he has not. Independents break against exoneration — 58% say the President and his campaign were not exonerated.

Those who say they have heard or read “a great deal” about the report (about 23% of the public), however, are more apt to say the President has been cleared: 56% in that group say Trump and his campaign have been exonerated of any collusion, while 44% say it wasn’t exoneration but that collusion could not be proven.

The 43% overall in the new poll saying the President has been exonerated is about the same as the 42% who said in a CNN poll earlier this year that Trump’s campaign did not collude with the Russian government to help get Trump elected. That suggests the summary letter released Sunday did little to move public opinion on this matter. Ocasio-Cortez’s ‘Green New Deal’ FAILS

By Daily Wire. Socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s (D-NY) “Green New Deal” overwhelmingly failed in the Senate on Tuesday when it was put to a vote, as not a single senator voted in support of it.

“Not a single senator backed her bill during the vote, a 57-0 filibuster,” The Washington Times reported. “Forty-three Democrats voted ‘present,’ refusing to take a stand.”

“Republicans said it was a devastating blow to the democratic socialist movement’s marquee proposal, which called for an upheaval in American energy, overhaul of the construction sector, and the largest expansion in history of the social safety net,” the Times added. . .

Green New Deal backed by Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez fizzles out in the Senate as Dems accuse GOP of putting on a ‘stunt’ vote

By CNBC. A Green New Deal proposal backed by numerous Democrats failed to advance in the Senate on Tuesday as Democrats protested what they called a political show vote orchestrated by majority Republicans.

The nonbinding resolution, which calls on the United States to make an ambitious effort to slash its use of fossil fuels to fight climate change, fell short in a procedural vote. The Senate did not proceed to debating the measure, as 57 senators voted against it and 43 Democrats and independents who caucus with them — nearly all of the Democratic caucus — voted “present.” Four senators who vote with Democrats — Joe Manchin of West Virginia, Kyrsten Sinema of Arizona, Doug Jones of Alabama and independent Angus King of Maine — voted against the resolution.

By voting “present,” Democrats hoped not to go on the record on a bill that had no realistic chance of passing, even if they support the concept of a Green New Deal. The six Democratic senators running for president next year — who co-sponsored the original resolution introduced by Sen. Ed Markey, D-Mass. — did not take a position on the measure Tuesday. NARRATIVE FAIL: One of Largest Glaciers on Earth That Shrank Is Growing Again

In a blow delivered to global warming purveyors, a new study discovered that a massive Greenland glacier that had been shrinking rapidly is expanding again.

NBC News reports that a new study published in Nature Geoscience examined the Jakobshavn glacier, in central west Greenland, the ice sheet’s fastest glacier and largest by volume discharge, and found that as opposed to the situation in 2012, when the glacier was shrinking 1.8 miles every year while thinning roughly 130 feet, over the last two years the process has been reversed.

The abstract for the study notes that the glacier “has been the single largest source of mass loss from the Greenland Ice Sheet over the last 20 years. During that time, it has been retreating, accelerating and thinning.” It links the growth and thickening of the glacier over the last two years to “to concurrent cooling of ocean waters in Disko Bay that spill over into Ilulissat Icefjord,” adding, “Ocean temperatures in the bay’s upper 250 m have cooled to levels not seen since the mid 1980s.”

The scientists note that their information was gleaned from two NASA data sets: the radar altimetry of the Oceans Melting Greenland mission and the laser altimetry of Operation Icebridge. The study states, “Between 2016 and 2017, we observe ice thickening of 20 to 30 m in the vicinity of the front … Repeat Glacier and Ice Surface Topography Interferometer (GLISTIN) measurements in 2018 show that the thickening continued at a similar rate near the front, but has now extended as far as 80km upstream and has spread laterally.”

The study acknowledges, “Over the past several years, ocean temperatures have cooled on the continental shelf in the vicinity of Jakobshavn Isbrae.
