James Comey Makes a Surprising Statement About Impeachment

By The Blaze. James Comey, the former FBI director that was fired by President Donald Trump, made a surprising statement about impeachment that might stun some Democrats. . .

“I hope that Mr. Trump is not impeached and removed from office before the end of his term,” he said in an op-ed in the New York Times.

“Because if Mr. Trump were removed from office by Congress,” he explained, “a significant portion of this country would see this as a coup, and it would drive those people farther from the common center of American life, more deeply fracturing our country.”

Comey did not suddenly become a Trump supporter, however. He opined that he would prefer the president he tossed out of office in the next election. That way his defeat will be “much harder to distort, or to nurse as a grievance” than if he were impeached.

“We need a resounding election result in 2020,” Comey explained, “where Americans of all stripes, divided as they may be about important policy issues — immigration, guns, abortion, climate change, regulation, taxes — take a moment from their busy lives to show that they are united by something even more important: the belief that the president of the United States cannot be a chronic liar who repeatedly attacks the rule of law.” (Read more from “James Comey Makes a Surprising Statement About Impeachment” HERE)

Comey: I don’t want Mueller to prove Trump is a criminal

By Washington Examiner. Former FBI Director James Comey said he doesn’t care whether Robert Mueller finds President Trump took part in any wrongdoing as suspense builds for the long-awaited report from the special counsel.

Comey, who was fired in 2016 by Trump and has spoken critically of the president since, wrote in a New York Times op-ed, that he’s not rooting for Mueller to show that Trump is a criminal; nor is he hoping Mueller clears the president of wrongdoing.

He does hope for “maximum transparency,” he said.

“I have no idea whether the special counsel will conclude that Mr. Trump knowingly conspired with the Russians in connection with the 2016 election or that he obstructed justice with the required corrupt intent. I also don’t care. I care only that the work be done, well and completely. If it is, justice will have prevailed and core American values will have been protected at a time when so much of our national leadership has abandoned its commitment to truth and the rule of law,” Comey wrote. New Presidential Polls Show Drastically Declining Support for This Dem

According to political polling expert Harry Enten, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) has been plummeting in the latest round of 2020 Democratic presidential polls. Enten wrote at CNN yesterday:

Our new CNN poll puts Sanders favorable rating at 46% compared to an unfavorable rating of 45% among registered voters. This is only the latest poll to have Sanders at basically even in his net favorability rating (favorable-unfavorable). A Quinnipiac University poll from late December gave the Vermont senator a net favorability of just +2 points. An average of all recent polls put Sanders’ net favorability at about -1 points.

Enten then speculates as to why this precipitous decline in Sanders’ favorability number may have transpired:

So, what’s changed? I’d argue that Sanders was benefiting from not being in a competitive campaign. (Former Vice President Joe Biden, who has garnered the most support in general election polls among the Democrats, may be benefiting from a similar effect.) When you’re not being thought of a viable threat to win a party’s nomination, opponents tend to lay off. The last time Sanders was thought of as at least a minor threat to win the Democratic nomination was in March 2016. His net favorability rating back then among all voters was +3 points in a CNN poll.

Sanders, famously, was the 2016 Democratic presidential field runner-up, behind nominee Hillary Clinton. As Paul Sperry wrote at The New York Post in January 2016, Sanders’ career history is rife with open support for Communist regimes and sundry Marxist causes. 2020 Democrats Have A Terrifying Goal

MIDGA, or Make the Iran Deal Great Again, appears to be 2020 Democratic presidential candidates’ unified foreign policy platform.

Several major 2020 Democratic presidential candidates want to resuscitate the Iran nuclear deal, the controversial Obama-era agreement that President Trump withdrew from in May 2018.

Sens. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., and Kamala Harris, D-Calif., told the pro-Tehran Al Monitor that they would support re-entering the nuclear agreement with the Iranian regime.

The report adds:

“The other 10 candidates did not respond to Al-Monitor’s request for comment, including Sens. Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota and Kirsten Gillibrand of New York, Hawaii Rep. Tulsi Gabbard and former Texas Rep. Beto O’Rourke. All four voted for the deal in 2015, while O’Rourke was one of only 20 House members to vote against new Iran sanctions opposed by Obama in 2015.

And former Vice President Joe Biden, who is expected to announce whether he is running next month, remains a champion of the pact negotiated under his watch.”

President Trump withdrew from the Iran deal last year, citing its disastrous ramifications for American interests and global stability.

“The fact is this was a horrible, one-sided deal that should have never, ever been made. It didn’t bring calm, it didn’t bring peace, and it never will,” he said in remarks announcing his commitment to stopping Iran from acquiring nukes.

The agreement, decried by President Trump as the “worst deal in history,” gave the terrorist regime that rules Iran $150 billion, provided a road map to deliverable nuclear weapons, and allowed the Tehran regime’s unchecked advances throughout the Middle East. It also allowed Iran to quadruple annual aid to the Hezbollah terrorist group while continuing to fund and aid its worldwide terrorist and criminal proxies.

As I explained last year for Conservative Review, the Iran deal was not solely about nuclear weapons. The Iran deal was fundamentally an agreement designed to reorient the balance of power in the Middle East away from traditional U.S. allies and to restructure the region by providing a huge boost to the Tehran regime.

In the era of Orange Man Bad, whatever Trump does, 2020 Democrats must take the opposite approach, and this of course applies to U.S. foreign policy too. 2020 Democrats are pledging to re-engage in a weapons-grade disaster of an agreement with the world’s foremost state sponsor of international terrorism, U.S. national security interests be damned. Muslim Terrorists in New Mexico Tied to Dems

By WND. A federal grand jury in New Mexico has indicted five Muslims who allegedly trained children to carry out school massacres on terrorism-related offenses, conspiracy to commit murder and kidnapping.

The five were arrested Aug. 3, 2018, after authorities in a raid found 11 hungry children living in squalid conditions in a remote, makeshift training compound.

The leader, Siraj Ibn Wahhaj, is the son of Imam Siraj Wahhaj, a former board member of the Council on American-Islamic Relations who is on record urging a violent overthrow of the “filthy” U.S. government. The elder Wahhaj gave an opening prayer at an event at the Democratic National Convention in 2012, pointed out Matthew Vadum in an column for FrontPage Magazine. The imam also has been called a spiritual adviser to jihad promoter and Bernie Sanders supporter Linda Sarsour. Vadum wrote that the “openly anti-Semitic Sarsour sits on the board of the Women’s March organization and openly admits membership in America’s largest Marxist group, the Democratic Socialists of America.” . . .

The defendants previously were indicted on weapons and conspiracy charges. The new indictment, issued Thursday, alleges “the defendants conspired to provide material support in preparation for violent attacks against federal law enforcement officers and members of the military,” said Assistant Attorney General John C. Demers. . .

The defendants, along with Siraj Ibn Wahhaj, are Jany Leveille, Hujrah Wahhaj, Subhanah Wahhaj and Lucas Morton. Leveille, Wahhaj’s “Islamic wife,” is an illegal immigrant from Haiti who also is under investigation by federal immigration authorities for overstaying her non-immigrant visitor visa. Defendants in New Mexico Compound Case Hit With New Charges

Five people taken into custody in August at a New Mexico compound where 11 children were found ragged and starving have been charged with a conspiracy to carry out attacks on U.S. targets, federal prosecutors said on Thursday.The superseding indictment adds to firearms offenses already filed against the defendants in U.S. District Court following a raid at the makeshift training camp where a 3-year-old boy was found buried. . .

“These allegations remind us of the dangers of terrorism that continue to confront our nation, and the allegation concerning the death of a young child only underscores the importance of prompt and effective intervention by law enforcement,” Anderson said.

Federal public defender Kari Converse, a lead attorney for the defendants in the case, said she was out of state on Thursday and could not comment on the superseding indictment until she had studied it more thoroughly. Mystery of the Minnesota Woman Who Was Totally Frozen and Survived

By The Epoch Times. In 1980, a Minnesota woman named Jean Hilliard was literally frozen stiff for several hours in subzero temperatures. No, it isn’t a hoax.

Hilliard collapsed on a 22-below-zero night as she was trying to seek shelter after a car accident. . .

Dr. George Sather in the report said that “I thought she was dead, but then we picked up an extremely faint whimper. We knew there was a person existing then.”

Jean’s chances of surviving were quite slim, and her body temperature didn’t even register on a thermometer, meaning her body temperature was less than 80 degrees F. . .

Teenager Recovers After Being Frozen Stiff

By Associated Press. Miss Hilliard was frozen after a midnight automobile accident in rural northwestern Minnesota. When she arrived at the Fosston, Minn., hospital, her skin was too hard to pierce with a hypodermic needle. Her temperature was too low to register on a thermometer. Her face was ashen and her eyes were solid and did not respond to light. . .

Doctors were unable to give her intravenous feedings because ”she was frozen too solid to penetrate the skin,” said Dr. Sather’s brother, Dr. Edgar Sather.

Her pulse, hardly registering through her frozen skin, was about 12 beats a minute. And her temperature was too low for a thermometer, with a low reading of 88 degrees, 10 degrees below normal. Forensic Science Has Finally Identified ‘Jack the Ripper’

Jack the Ripper, one of the most legendary serial killers in recorded history, has been identified — 131 years after he stalked the streets of London.

From August until November 1888, a faceless serial killer hunted in the poorest parts of London. “Jack the Ripper,” also known as the “Whitechapel Murderer” and “Leather Apron,” is believed to have slain at least five women: Mary Ann Nichols, Annie Chapman, Elizabeth Stride, Catherine Eddowes, and Mary Jane Kelly.

Their throats were cut, their abdomens mutilated. Sometimes their organs were removed. Newspapers sensationalized the brutal killings for sales, and the story remained profitable to the tune of dozens of books, movies, and songs. Jack the Ripper became an icon of the deadly and depraved, yet no one was ever charged with his crimes. The mystery remained.

Now, more than a century after his reign of terror, forensic scientists have pinpointed his identity from a list of over 100 hypothetical possibilities. Primary police suspect, a then 23-year-old Polish barber by the name of Aaron Kosminski, is Jack. And while he died in an asylum by 1919, he left behind a vital clue to his bloody past. . .

Never Go Full Socialist: This U.S. City Is Testing Something That Even Some European Countries Have Rejected

What is it with New Jersey and falling in love with bad ideas? Seriously, from high taxes to suffocating regulations that have made it a dead zone for business, New Jersey Democrats find new creative ways to tell the rest of the country that it’s being run by complete and total morons. No wonder why people are leaving this state in droves. In Newark, they’re going full socialist, testing a universal basic income program (via Fox News):

New Jersey’s largest city plans to test whether universal basic income is feasible, making it the latest government to flirt with a program that would guarantee income for residents whether or not they have a job.

Newark Mayor Ras Baraka announced his decision last week to create a task force and pilot program to study whether the program is possible.

“We believe in Universal Basic Income, especially in a time where studies have shown that families that have a crisis of just $400 a month may experience a setback that may be difficult, even impossible to recover from,” Baraka reportedly said, adding that one-third of the city still lives in poverty.

But the people were happier, and they didn’t have jobs. So, happier, but it didn’t give them any urgency to find work. Yeah, that’s just another welfare program that’s going to waste taxpayer dollars. We all know this. I know I’m preaching to the choir, but at least you can be happier while jobless in Newark, New Jersey. Disturbing Details Emerge on Bizarre Behavior From Beto O’Rourke

A new profile piece from The Washington Post on Democratic presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke documented multiple instances of highly disturbing behavior from the failed Senate candidate, including eating dirt and taking poop from his kid’s diaper and putting it into a bowl and telling his wife that it was an avocado.

The piece specifically focused on Beto’s marriage to his wife Amy, who indicated that she was not exactly thrilled to be in a marriage that was so heavily involved in politics.

Buried deep in the article was a paragraph that documented his “‘Psycho’-style scares in the shower,” and another bizarre incident from their marriage. The Post reports:

One time, according to a friend, Beto collected an especially verdant turd from one of their kids’ diapers and put it in a bowl, telling Amy it was avocado. (Neither would confirm this, though Beto did allow it sounded like something he’d do.)

California Con Man Set up Bogus Websites for Bernie Sanders, Beto O’Rourke to Defraud Donors

By NBC News. A notorious California con man has been charged with defrauding donors out of more than $250,000 sent to sham political groups and websites for Beto O’Rourke, Bernie Sanders and other prominent Democrats, prosecutors said Tuesday.

John Pierre Dupont, 80, is accused of setting up at least three bogus political action committees, or PACs, and several websites that purported to be raising money for roughly 10 individual Senate candidates, a candidate for governor and for progressive causes, according to a criminal complaint.

Instead of passing along the cash to the candidates or campaigns, Dupont used it to pay his rent, a parking ticket, and to cover the costs of a $25,300 Mercedes-Benz sedan, according to prosecutors with the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Southern District of New York.

“As alleged, John Pierre Dupont operated multiple fake political action committees and falsely claimed to be raising money to support more than a dozen campaigns,” said U.S. Attorney Geoffrey Berman. SHOCKER: Newly Unsealed Court Documents Reveal Who Shared the Russia Dossier With the FBI and Media

By Townhall. Previously sealed court documents reveal how Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) and one of his associates, former State Department official David Kramer and McCain Institute fellow, shared the Democratic National Committee-funded Russia dossier with the FBI and various media outlets. McCain previously denied being BuzzFeed’s source after the outlet published the dossier.

According to Fox News, “former senior counterintelligence FBI agent Bill Priestap confirmed that the FBI received a copy of the first 33 pages of the dossier in December 2016 from McCain.”

In a 2017 court filing, Kramer confirmed that British spy Christopher Steele provided the dossier to him. Kramar then turned around and provided the dossier to reporters at McClatchy, NPR, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, BuzzFeed and CNN’s Carl Bernstein, The Daily Caller reported.

The report was also shared with State Department official Victoria Nuland, Obama National Security Council official Celeste Wallander and Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-IL).

Court Files Reveal Role of McCain, Associate in Spreading Anti-Trump Dossier

By Fox News. Newly unsealed court filings show how the late Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., and an associate shared with the FBI and a host of media outlets the unverified dossier that alleged the Russians had compromising information on now-President Trump.

McCain had denied being the source for BuzzFeed after it published the dossier, which was funded by the Democratic National Committee (DNC) and Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign, but had acknowledged giving it to the FBI.

In a newly unsealed declaration from September, former senior counterintelligence FBI agent Bill Priestap confirmed that the FBI received a copy of the first 33 pages of the dossier in December 2016 from McCain.

In another filing, David Kramer — a former State Department official and McCain associate — said in a Dec. 13, 2017, deposition that the dossier was given to him by author and former British spy Christopher Steele, which he then provided to multiple journalists at outlets including CNN, BuzzFeed and The Washington Post. Trump Slams McCain for Second Straight Day

President Trump on Sunday criticized late Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) for a second consecutive day amid reports that one of McCain’s associates had shared a dossier of allegations about Trump’s ties to Russia with the media.

“So it was indeed (just proven in court papers) ‘last in his class’ (Annapolis) John McCain that sent the Fake Dossier to the FBI and Media hoping to have it printed BEFORE the Election,” Trump tweeted. “He & the Dems, working together, failed (as usual). Even the Fake News refused this garbage!”

. . .Sunday marked the second straight day Trump went after McCain, who died in August after a lengthy battle with brain cancer. . .

“He had far worse ‘stains’ than this, including thumbs down on repeal and replace after years of campaigning to repeal and replace!” the president tweeted, referring to the Arizona lawmaker’s vote against the GOP Senate majority during the Republican attempt to repeal ObamaCare in 2017. Watch: Muslim Doctor STUNS CNN With Trump, GOP Revelation

On Saturday, a Muslim doctor who has been highly critical of radical Islam appeared on CNN and must have given that network heart palpitations as she insisted that in many parts of the Muslim world, not only is President Trump beloved, but so is former President George W. Bush, and that the Trump administration is not Islamophobic.

Dr. Qanta Ahmed, who hails from Great Britain, stated, “One thing the viewers should know, this president and this administration is often castigated as Islamophobic, but I move in the Muslim word, in Egypt, in Oman, in Jordan, in Iraqi Kurdistan, where this president is beloved. This president and the Republican Party going back to George Bush is very dearly held. Today is the anniversary of Halabja, the massacre of 180,000 Kurds at the hands of Saddam Hussein. That only change would [be] because of a Republican president. So it is very important not to lose so much perspective that we start believing our entire government is Islamophobic. That is not the case.” . . .

The conversation between Ahmed and CNN host Fredericka Whitfield featured Ahmed trying to delineate a distinction between anti-Muslim sentiment and Islamophobia. She said:

Islamophobia actually means the refusal to scrutinize or examine Islam or Islamism, Islamist institutions. Muslims and Christians in Pakistan when they challenged Islamism, when they defended Asia Bibi, the Christian woman that was on death row were killed, assassinated for their purported Islamophobia.

So we must distinguish lethal, diabolical, anti-Muslim xenophobia as is happening in Christchurch from a Islamophobia. Why should we do that? Because, if we do not, we empower Islamists who wish to propagate the myth, the same myth that the white supremacists gunman wants us to believe that we are under siege in the secular world, that we are victims in the West. And it’s not just those that have animus toward Muslims. We already see in Turkey — the president of Turkey, Erdogan, Muslim Brotherhood Islamist Godfather, exploiting this attack, taking advantage of this attack, telling his supporters on an election campaign yesterday to watch the live feed of the gunman.
