Rand Paul Question to FBI Director Reveals Something Stunning About Monitoring of Trump’s Phone Calls

During a Senate Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee hearing on Thursday, Senator Rand Paul asked FBI Director Christopher Wray if the Bureau or other intelligence agencies have listened to President Trump’s phone calls.

According to Wray, at least in an open hearing, the question couldn’t be answered.

Obama Had a Secret Plan in Case Trump Didn’t Accept 2016 Election Results

By Daily Wire. Former President Barack Obama had a secret plan in place for what his administration would do if then-candidate Donald Trump lost the 2016 election to Hillary Clinton and refused to accept the results.

Trump warned on the campaign trail that the election could be “rigged,” a notion that Obama scoffed at, saying, there’s “no serious person out there who would suggest somehow that you could even rig America’s elections.” . . .

“The Obama White House plan, according to interviews with Rhodes and Jen Psaki, Obama’s communications director, called for congressional Republicans, former presidents, and former Cabinet-level officials including Colin Powell and Condoleezza Rice, to try and forestall a political crisis by validating the election result,” the Intelligencer reported. “In the event that Trump tried to dispute a Clinton victory, they would affirm the result as well as the conclusions reached by the U.S. intelligence community that Russian interference in the election sought to favor Trump, and not Clinton.” (Read more from “Obama Had A Secret Plan in Case Trump Didn’t Accept 2016 Election Results” HERE)

Obama’s Trump Plan Revealed

By The Intelligencer. The existence of the postelection plan has not been previously reported. A July 2017 op-ed by Obama’s chief of staff, Denis McDonough, refers to Obama directing his staff to “prepare possible responses” to claims of Russian interference in the election.

Psaki said the plan was one of a larger set of “red-teaming” conversations to address how the White House should respond to postelection scenarios that did not have any historical precedent. “There was recognition that we had a Democratic president who was quite popular but also divisive for a portion of the population,” she said. “For them, just having him say the election was legitimate was not going to be enough. We didn’t spend a lot of time theorizing about the worst thing that could happen — this isn’t a science-fiction movie. It was more about the country being incredibly divided and Trump’s supporters being angry. Would there be protesting? I don’t want to say violence, because we didn’t talk about that as I recall.”

Trump’s blurring of the lines between the illegal, the unfair, and the merely unfavorable has continued with his rhetoric around the ongoing probe into his campaign, which he has called a “hoax,” “one of the great scandals in the history of our country,” and “truly a cancer in our country.” He has described Robert Mueller’s investigation as “illegal” and a “Witch Hunt … in search of a crime … not allowed under the LAW!” (Read more from “Obama’s Trump Plan Revealed” HERE)

Lisa, Kavanaugh and Abortion

Forty-one years in Alaska and two runs for the U.S. Senate myself against Ted Stevens and Mark Begich have provided me abundant opportunity to see what is at play with our politics. Even as we speak, many Alaskan legislators and most citizens are unaware of the betrayal by our congressional delegation in the statehood act’s mandate for a 90/10 split in federal oil royalties, selling our birthright for a mess of 50/50 pottage. They have not read about Ted Stevens’ role in deforming our birth prior to statehood as an Interior Department lawyer, then his “heroic” rescue of our state through titanic infusions of federal monies. Not surprisingly, this continued the same dependency and control by the federal government from whose liberation was the entire reason behind statehood. Ernest Gruening certainly knew that in his famous 1955 speech.

Lisa Murkowski, part of this betrayal, was already a suspected RINO while in the state legislature, a reliable and scandalous vote for abortion “rights” that was never addressed by Alaska’s Catholic bishops, whom have always toed the line of the left wing of the Church. The Murkowski Family Fix that was perpetrated by Governor Frank Murkowski, appointing his daughter to his own seat, provided a bad taste in Alaskans’ mouth that even the Republican legislature tried to address shortly thereafter.

When Lisa was on the hook to keep that seat against Tony Knowles in a race that every pollster knew would be close, the media packed itself outside the headquarters of Alaska Right to Life for more than three hours. That supposedly uninfluential group of right wing extremists had to weigh the bad options. “No endorsement” was what emerged, with a statement that while Knowles would certainly never vote for any future Republican supreme court nominee, Lisa might. Alaska RTL’s prescience was spot-on, as Lisa voted for Neil Gorsuch, whose seat would not change the balance of abortion votes on the court, but certainly knew on what side her bread was buttered when it came to Kavanaugh. The sexual accusations were a mere red-herring for the real issue at play.

For Alaskans wondering about the true reason for Lisa’s “No Vote” for Judge Kavanaugh, it was abortion first and foremost. While I myself might not have voted for Kavanaugh (see below), and his commitment to returning states rights and overturning Roe v. Wade is utterly suspect, Lisa was not taking any chances, which apparently Maine RINO Susan Collins was willing to do.

Part and parcel of this mess have been Alaska’s Catholic bishops, past and present. They have never uttered one word of either admonishment or explanation regarding Lisa, her fellow Catholic Mark Begich, or any other local “Catholic” legislator who panders to the Crown Jewel of the radical left: abortion-on-demand all nine months of pregnancy. Head-patting assurances that they have been working behind the scenes ring as hollow as their commitment to rooting out the homosexual mafia that is increasingly seen as controlling the Catholic hierarchy worldwide.

But just how committed to Constitutional principles is Kavanaugh? It certainly is not from his non-defense of the 4th Amendment, which the Patriot Act flies in the face of, nor in his dutiful work for the Clintons in the Vince Foster “suicide” case. The proper questions to have directed at Kavanaugh should have gone there, as well as the following: “Where in the constitution does the federal government derive its power to interfere with the states in regards to legislating social issues? What is your opinion on the legitimacy of the 14th Amendment’s passage in 1868? What is your opinion regarding the expansive use of the 14th as it interferes with freedom of religion?”

Lisa owes her seat to a controversial appointment from Daddy, a non-endorsement from the prolife movement in the face of someone even more radical than herself, and a suspected Machiavellian write-in election whose legitimacy has never been properly investigated, an investigation that might have turned the integrity of Alaska’s election system on its head. Alaskans would do well to pressure her to resign if Dunleavy is elected this fall.

Senator Reveals Who He Believes Leaked Ford Letter

By The Daily Caller. Republican Sen. Tom Cotton of Arkansas accused Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer Tuesday of being involved in the operation to leak Christine Blasey Ford’s letter to the public.

“I believe the Schumer political operation was behind this from the very beginning,” Cotton told conservative commentator Hugh Hewitt during his radio show.

Ford wrote Democratic lawmakers a letter in July accusing Justice Brett Kavanaugh of sexual misconduct more than 35 years ago. During the Senate Judiciary Committee hearing in September, Ford said she did not authorize the letters release, despite it being made public.

“We learned last week that a woman named Monica McLean was Ms. Ford’s roommate and she was one of the so-called ‘beach friends’ that encouraged Ms. Ford to go to [Sen.] Dianne Feinstein and the partisan Democrats on the judiciary committee,” Cotton continued. “It just so happens that Monica McLean worked for Preet Bharara, the former U.S. attorney in Manhattan, now a virulent anti-Trump critic on television and former counsel to Chuck Schumer.” (Read more from “Senator Reveals Who He Believes Leaked Ford Letter” HERE)

Sen. Tom Cotton Pushes Conspiracy Theory Involving Blasey Ford, Preet Bharara and Chuck Schumer

By The Hill Reporter. . .Last night, Trump apologized to Brett Kavanuagh on behalf of the nation for the “Democrat’s hoax.” Today, Arkansas Senator Tom Cotton took it a step further by creating a conspiracy theory involving Dr. Blasey Ford, Chuck Schumer and Dianne Feinstein.

Cotton made his claims this morning on Hugh Hewitt’s radio show. He claimed, “I believe the Schumer political operation was behind this from the very beginning.”

The senator explained that there was a connection between Ford’s friend Monica McLean and Preet Bharara.

Bharara was a celebrated US Attorney who was famous for taking on financial corruption in New York City. He was fired by the president shortly after Donald Trump took office.

Cotton claimed that McLean once worked for Bharara and then worked for Schumer so there was a line connecting the three of them. (Read more from “Sen. Tom Cotton Pushes Conspiracy Theory Involving Blasey Ford, Preet Bharara and Chuck Schumer” HERE)

Alaska’s Other RINO Senator Vows to Fight Any Censure of Lisa Murkowski

Editor’s note, courtesy of Matt Johnson: Senator Dan Sullivan’s response to Alaska Republicans censuring or disciplining RINO Senator Lisa Murkowski for going rogue again: “I’ll fight it fully.”

I know a lot of my Republican friends in Alaska don’t want to hear it, but it’s true. Dan Sullivan is only marginally conservative. His score with Conservative Review is a paltry 53%. That’s not what he promised Alaskans when he ran for this office. He promised to be a conservative fighter. He’s done nothing of the sort. He’s a conservative like Mitch McConnell is a conservative. He votes in virtual lock-step with the Establishment. The only time Dan Sullivan has really been willing to stick his neck out has been in defense of Murkowski, or in opposition to Donald Trump.

This is yet another, “I told you so” moment for Joe Miller. He told primary voters in 2014 that a vote for Dan Sullivan was a vote to prop up Lisa Murkowski. Not only did he endorse her for re-election in 2016 with an infinitely better Republican on the ballot (Mayor Dan Sullivan), he fully endorsed her against Joe Miller in the general election (It should be noted that by his own admission he didn’t support Joe Miller v. Murkowski when he was the Republican nominee, so it can’t be that he was just doing his partisan duty).

This isn’t just about Alaska. This is about the whole country. Murkowski single-handedly saved Obamacare, costing millions of Americans more money, less coverage, less access to healthcare. And while she didn’t succeed this time, she may well cost us a conservative Supreme Court Justice next time, as she has already signaled that she would likely vote against anyone she thinks would overturn Roe v. Wade. The long and short of it: Senator Dan Sullivan misled Alaskans to get power. Now that he has it, he doesn’t care what you think.

Republicans Defend RINO Senator

From Politico: [Lisa Murkowski’s] Senate GOP colleagues are defending her, pushing back against Trump’s vow to make her pay a political price for opposing Kavanaugh. [But] Republicans are growing uneasy with her standing in today’s GOP. She voted against the Obamacare repeal and the Kavanaugh confirmation, putting her on the wrong side of the president on two critical votes over the past two years.

Murkowski isn’t up for reelection until 2022, having won reelection alongside Trump in 2016. But Republicans say the prickly Alaska senator doesn’t take kindly to Trump’s assertion that Murkowski will “never recover” from her “no” vote and that it might alienate the Alaska moderate on critical votes in a narrowly divided Senate. . .

Trump’s relationship with Murkowski is already frayed. In a phone call last summer, Trump pushed her to support the GOP’s attempts to repeal Obamacare, though she ultimately voted no and people working on the bill said Trump’s lobbying was not helpful. . . But now Murkowski is the only Republican to have opposed two of Trump’s signature initiatives. . .

[Now] the Alaska GOP is weighing whether to issue a statement condemning Murkowski’s vote, withdraw its support for her or even find challengers to her reelection campaign, [but,] according to The Associated Press, Sen. Dan Sullivan (R-Alaska) said of any retribution: “I’ll fight it fully.” (Read more from “Alaska’s Other RINO Senator Vows to Fight Any Censure of Lisa Murkowski” HERE)

Watch: Crowd Reaction to Trump’s Mention of Feinstein Surprises Everyone

President Donald Trump was speaking about Democratic Sen. Dianne Feinstein and allegations she leaked Dr. Christine Blasey Ford’s letter during a rally when the crowd began to cheer “lock her up” on Tuesday.

Trump was mocking Feinstein for the way she responded to allegations that she or somebody in her office was responsible for leaking Dr. Ford’s letter to the public by making wild hand gestures and rhetorically asking, “Did we leak?”

“Did we leak?” Trump asked once again, only to answer his own question by shaking his hands and saying, “No! No! No, we didn’t.”

The crowd erupted in laughter before beginning to chant “lock her up,” eliciting a smirk from the president. “I think they’re talking about Feinstein. Can you believe it?” Trump responded in dismay. (Read more from “Crowd Reaction to Trump’s Mention of Feinstein Surprises Everyone” HERE)

Alaska GOP May Reprimand — or Totally Disavow — Murkowski for Her Kavanaugh Vote

Editor’s note: The Alaska GOP’s “reprimand” effort over Murkowski’s Kavanaugh vote is 100% optics. The current chairman, as well as the folk who control the state party behind the scenes, are Murkowski-lovers as they were in 2010 and 2016. However, they are terrified of wholly losing popular support, making it far more difficult to perpetuate the type of fraud they helped orchestrate in 2010 – and likely 2016. In other words, they want cover so they can still identify in the public’s eye as “Republican” even though they remain the same old corrupt bastards (their words, not ours).

Fall-Out Continues Over Murkowski’s Kavanaugh Vote

By The Blaze. The fallout is still unfolding for Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) after she went against the rest of her party by not voting to confirm Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court over the weekend.

According to the Associated Press, the Alaska Republican Party is deciding whether to issue a reprimand for Murkowski’s vote — or whether to disavow her completely.

As the only Republican senator who did not vote in favor of Kavanaugh’s confirmation, Murkowski has placed a target on her back, already drawing potential 2022 challengers and now facing the potential of being asked not to run as a Republican candidate again.

“It’s significant enough that I’m going to convene the whole state central committee, which is about 80 grassroots volunteers around the state, and we’ll start drafting what our response should be,” Alaska GOP chairman Tuckerman Babcock said after the vote, according to KTUU-TV.

Murkowski likely knew this backlash was coming when she made her decision, and even a formal separation from the Republican Party wouldn’t necessarily spell the end of her Senate career, if the past is any indication. In 2010, Murkowski won reelection to the Senate as a write-in candidate even after losing the Republican primary. Alaska GOP to Weigh Potential Action Against Murkowski

By AP. Alaska Republican party leaders plan to consider whether to reprimand U.S. Sen. Lisa Murkowski for opposing Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation.

The party has asked Murkowski to provide any information she might want its state central committee to consider.

Party Chairman Tuckerman Babcock says the committee could decide to issue a statement. Or he says it could withdraw support of Murkowski, encourage party officials to look for a replacement and ask that she not seek re-election as a Republican. New Poll Shows What Americans Thought of Democrats Smearing Kavanaugh, and It’s Stunning

By The Blaze. A stunning new poll asking Americans what they thought about how Brett Kavanaugh was treated in the confirmation process has a stunning result for Democrats. . .

Among the crucial election demographic of independents, Democrats are underwater by a 28 percentage point margin.

While 30 percent of independents approved of how Democrats handled the nomination, a whopping 58 percent said they disapproved.

The CNN/SSRS poll was released Monday just head of Kavanaugh being sworn in to the Supreme Court.

Independents are key indicators of elections because while those identified with either party generally vote according to their identification, independents are seen as swing votes that can decided an election. Independents Disapprove of Democrats’ Handling of the Brett Kavanaugh Nomination by a 28-Point Margin

By The Washington Examiner. After a blistering confirmation battle, Justice Brett Kavanaugh will take his seat for oral arguments on the U.S. Supreme Court with a skeptical public, a majority of which opposed his nomination. However, Democrats may not be able to exploit this fact in the upcoming elections as much as they hope, because the independent voters overwhelmingly disapprove of their own handling of the nomination by a 28-point margin, a new CNN/SSRS poll finds.

Overall, just 41 percent of those polled said they wanted to see Kavanaugh confirmed, compared to 51 percent who said they opposed his confirmation. In previous CNN polls dating back to Robert Bork in 1987, no nominee has been more deeply underwater.

What’s interesting, however, is even though Democrats on the surface would seem to have public opinion on their side, just 36 percent approved of how they handled the nomination, compared to 56 percent who disapproved. (Republicans were at 55 percent disapproval and 35 percent approval). A further breakdown finds that 58 percent of independents disapproved of the way the Democrats handled the nomination — compared to 30 percent who approved. (Independents also disapproved of Republicans handling of the matter, but by a narrower 53 percent to 32 percent margin). The Odd Story About Christine Blasey Ford’s Second Front Door That Triggered the Kavanaugh Allegation

By Townhall. The sexual misconduct allegations against Kavanaugh all were lacking evidence and corroborating witnesses. It was a horrid window into how the Left views due process and the presumption of innocence. In short, it’s lacking in their world. It’s all guided by identity politics and the cuckoo notion that women are incapable of lying. The first allegation lobbed by Christine Blasey Ford, where she says a drunken 17-year-old Kavanaugh tried to rape her at a high school party, was handwritten in a letter to Sen. Dianne Feinstein’s (D-CA) office, where it sat for weeks. Feinstein didn’t disclose it to anyone, not even her Senate colleagues until the last minute, which set off this clown show. In all probability, the Democrats leaked the letter and weaponized this woman’s allegation. There’s not a shred of evidence to confirm this—and Ford can’t remember key details. She doesn’t know who organized the party, whose house it was in, how she got there, or who drove her home after the alleged attack. Years later, when doing a home renovation, an argument over a door brought out the story in couple’s therapy in 2012. Yet, Paul Sperry of Real Clear Investigations noted something odd about this part of Ford’s testimony before Congress, namely that the timeline doesn’t match up. (Read more from “The Odd Story About Christine Blasey Ford’s Second Front Door That Triggered the Kavanaugh Allegation” HERE)

Renovation Records Undercut Ford’s Exit-Door Account

By Real Clear Investigations. Real estate and other records undercut a key part of Christine Blasey Ford’s account of why she finally came forward with charges of attempted rape against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh after some 30 years.

Ford testified last week that she had never revealed the details of the alleged attack until 2012, when she was in couples therapy with her husband. She said the memories percolated up as they revisited a disagreement they’d had over her insistence on installing a “second front door” when they had remodeled their Palo Alto, Calif., home.

The need to explain a decision her husband “didn’t understand,” Ford testified, pushed her to say she wanted the door to alleviate symptoms of “claustrophobia” and “panic attacks” she still suffered from an attempted rape allegedly perpetrated by Kavanaugh in high school during the early 1980s.

“Is that the reason for the second door — front door — is claustrophobia?” asked Sen. Dianne Feinstein, the top Democrat on the Judiciary Committee. “Correct,” Ford replied. . .

But documents reveal the door was installed years before as part of an addition, and has been used by renters and even a marriage counseling business. (Read more from “Renovation Records Undercut Ford’s Exit-Door Account” HERE)

GOP Senator Reveals the Gruesome Text Message His Wife Received After He Voted to Confirm Kavanaugh

By The Blaze. Republican Sen. Cory Gardner (R-Colo.) knew the left was angry about Brett Kavanaugh’s Supreme Court confirmation. But unfortunately, he learned first-hand on Saturday just how angry Democrats are.

Gardner revealed to Fox News Sunday that after he voted to confirm Kavanaugh, his wife received a graphic text message with a video depicting a beheading. Additionally, he said his family was doxxed and some of their personal information was made public. . .

Gardner’s press secretary, Casey Contres, confirmed the reporting to the Daily Caller News Foundation. Contres added that Gardner’s office may provide additional details on the threat at a later time.

It wasn’t immediately clear if there were any suspects, or if law enforcement knew the source of the disturbing message.

As Fox News noted, Gardner voiced his support for Kavanaugh in July after President Donald Trump nominated him. Gardner reiterated his support for Kavanaugh after the FBI concluded its “supplemental” investigation into Kavanaugh’s background last week. Sen. Cory Gardner Reveals Wife Received Graphic Text of Beheading After Kavanaugh Vote

By Fox News. In the wake of his vote to confirm Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh on Saturday, Republican Sen. Cory Gardner, R-Colo., revealed to Fox News on Sunday that his wife had received a graphic text message with a video depicting a beheading, and that someone has publicly posted the names and addresses of his family members.

Gardner announced his support for Kavanaugh in July, and reaffirmed it after reviewing the supplemental FBI report into uncorroborated sexual misconduct allegations against him.

Late last month, Gardner received a letter from an anonymous individual apparently in Denver, alleging that Kavanaugh had “shoved” someone up against a wall “very aggressively and sexually” during an outing in 1998 in front of four witnesses. The allegation was later deemed not to be credible.

“Every victim of abuse, assault, and violence has been through an unspeakable tragedy and we need to do a better job listening to them, ensuring support is available, and fighting to end abuse of any kind,” Gardner said in a statement prior to receiving the graphic text messages. “I hope that the partisan divide we all feel today does not hinder the people that have bravely come forward.”

Kavanaugh, his wife Ashley, and his accuser Christine Blasey Ford have also all received numerous death threats in recent days. (Read more from “Sen. Cory Gardner Reveals Wife Received Graphic Text of Beheading After Kavanaugh Vote” HERE)
