Bombshell: Rosenstein Conspired to Wiretap Trump to Invoke 25th Amendment?

By Fox News. The Trump administration was rocked Friday afternoon by a bombshell report saying Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein last year suggested secretly recording President Trump to expose chaos in the White House and enlisting Cabinet members to invoke the 25th Amendment to remove him from office.

Rosenstein adamantly denied the accusations.

“The New York Times’s story is inaccurate and factually incorrect,” he said in a statement to Fox News. “I will not further comment on a story based on anonymous sources who are obviously biased against the department and are advancing their own personal agenda. But let me clear about this: Based on my personal dealings with the president, there is no basis to invoke the 25th Amendment.” . . .

But the Times report is sure to roil a White House already suspicious of some elements within the DOJ and FBI, as Trump complains regularly about the Russia probe he calls a “witch hunt.” Rosenstein oversees that probe.

“I have requested that the Judiciary Committee convene hearings with Mr. Rosenstein, and others who are alleged to have been in the room at the time, in order to ascertain the truth,” said a ststement fromk Rep. Matt Gaetzx, R-Fla., on Friday night. “Needless to say, if these inflammatory and disturbing claims are true, they constitute grounds for Mr. Rosenstein’s immediate removal.” (Read more from “Bombshell: Rosenstein Conspired to Wiretap Trump to Invoke 25th Amendment?” HERE)

Trump Allies Want Rod Rosenstein Fired After Reports He Discussed Removing the President

By USA Today. Allies of President Donald Trump are calling for the firing of Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein after reports surfaced that he discussed invoking the 25th Amendment and suggested wearing a wire during encounters with the president.

Rosenstein, who oversees the special counsel investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election, has been in danger of firing for months. House Republicans filed articles of impeachment against him in July. Reports continue to mount that Trump is considering his ouster.

The calls for Rosenstein’s firing appeared to increase at the same time special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation has picked up speed and took out several in the president’s circle with indictments, guilty pleas or cooperation agreements. Rosenstein was given charge of the Mueller’s investigation after Attorney General Jeff Sessions recused himself because he served as an adviser to the Trump campaign.

The New York Times report was met with an unusual welcome by Trump supporters. Some Republican members of Congress and hosts on Fox News pointed to the article as a rationale to further look into the claims or fire Rosenstein.

Watch: CNN Interview Goes Bad as Ex-FBI Asst. Director Savages Ford Accusations

A CNN interview on Wednesday with former FBI assistant director Chris Swecker didn’t work out quite the way the network was probably hoping after Swecker said the recent accusations against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh would not hold up in court.

CNN anchor Brooke Baldwin asked Swecker a series of questions regarding the FBI’s involvement with the accusations of sexual assault made by California university professor Christine Blasey Ford against Kavanaugh. . .

Swecker confirmed during the CNN interview that the FBI won’t handle the case.

“The FBI has no independent jurisdiction to open up a stand-alone investigation of rape allegations or assault allegations that may have taken place 36 years ago,” Swecker said. “That’s a local crime. Unless it involves a federal official or on federal land, or has some federal nexus, there’s just no jurisdiction to do it.”

“There just can’t be any forensic evidence. I would be shocked if they brought a garment forward that might have DNA or something like that,” Swecker said.

Swecker went on to say that the evidence would be “strictly interviews” of the alleged victim, the alleged perpetrator, anyone else who might have been at the party, her therapist or anyone else she may have confided in about the incident. 3rd Person in Room During ‘Kavanaugh Attack’ Comes Forward and Blows Story Apart

The left’s characterization of Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh is falling apart after another individual identified as being present during the alleged sexual assault by Kavanaugh has come forward and rejected the accuser’s story.

In a letter sent to Sen. Dianne Feinstein, California professor Christine Blasey Ford said there were four people besides herself at the party when she was allegedly assaulted by Kavanaugh.

One of those four people, Patrick J. Smyth, a high school classmate of Kavanaugh, provided the Senate Judiciary Committee with a letter rebutting Ford’s allegations against Kavanaugh, according to CNS News.

“I understand that I have been identified by Dr. Christine Blasey Ford as the person she remembers as ‘PJ’ who supposedly was present at the party she described in her statements to the Washington Post,” Smyth said in his statement published by CNN.

Smyth went on to claim “no knowledge” of the party Ford described.

“I am issuing this statement today to make it clear to all involved that I have no knowledge of the party in question; nor do I have any knowledge of the allegations of improper conduct she has leveled against Brett Kavanaugh.”

Smyth also commented on Kavanaugh’s character and his treatment of women.

“Personally speaking, I have known Brett Kavanaugh since high school and I know him to be a person of great integrity, a great friend, and I have never witnessed any improper conduct by Brett Kavanaugh towards women,” Smyth said.

Smyth’s statement makes him the third person to deny Ford’s claims out of the four individuals Ford said were present at the party.

Kavanaugh was the first person to deny Ford’s claims.

“This is a completely false allegation,” Kavanaugh said in a statement on Monday.

“I have never done anything like what the accuser describes — to her or to anyone,” Kavanaugh continued, “Because this never happened, I had no idea who was making this accusation until she identified herself yesterday.”

Kavanaugh also expressed a desire to talk with the Senate Judiciary Committee “in any way,” unlike Ford, who will only testify if she gets an FBI investigation, according to Fox News.

“I am willing to talk to the Senate Judiciary Committee in any way the Committee deems appropriate to refute this allegation, from 36 years ago, and defend my integrity,” Kavanaugh said.

Ford also identified Kavanaugh’s friend and former classmate, Mark Judge, who denied the allegations as well.

“In fact, I have no memory of this alleged incident,” Judge said in a statement to the Senate Judiciary Committee. “Brett Kavanaugh and I were friends in high school but I do not recall the party described in Dr. Ford’s letter. More to the point, I never saw Brett act in the manner Dr. Ford describes.”

Ford’s story seems to be in shambles with three out of four alleged witnesses have said the assault never happened. (For more from the author of “3rd Person in Room During ‘Kavanaugh Attack’ Comes Forward and Blows Story Apart” please click HERE)

MSNBC Host Tweets out Hard-Hitting Question for Kavanaugh, Gets Hilarious Answers

Lawrence O’Donnell, host of MNSBC’s “The Last Word,” posted a series of tweets Wednesday laying out what he asserts are the reasons Brett Kavanaugh’s denials are more dubious than Christine Blasey Ford’s accusations, ultimately leading to his hard-hitting question: “Why isn’t Brett Kavanaugh demanding an FBI investigation? WHY?” O’Donnell got some answers from both the Left and the Right, but probably not the ones he was hoping to get from the latter.

In a rather entertaining series of posts and responses caught by Twitchy, O’Donnell laid out his logic for why he believes Ford’s unsubstantiated allegation over Kavanaugh’s unequivocal denial: “People who make up stories don’t ask the FBI to investigate those stories,” he wrote. He followed up that assertion with the following tweet:

Among the flood of responses were those pointing out that Kavanaugh immediately agreed to testify under oath before Congress, which likewise has serious legal implications:

John Brennan Compares Trump Declassification Order With… Pushing the Nuke Button

John Brennan, the radical-left CIA chief under President Obama, continues his campaign to encourage mutiny against President Trump.

Appearing on MSNBC Thursday morning, Brennan told host Hallie Jackson that he was “very concerned” about President Trump’s order earlier this week to declassify a large amount of material related to the Russia investigation and FISA applications.

Brennan said he is concerned about “exposing intelligence sources and methods as well doing anything that might compromise an ongoing criminal investigation,” referring to the Mueller probe into Russian interference in the 2016 election, which has yet to find a single piece of evidence to substantiate Trump-Russia collusion.

Jackson then followed up:

“But the president is allowed to declassify materials. He does have that authority. So how do you square that?”

To which Brennan responded:

“Well, the president has the authority to do a lot of things. It doesn’t mean, if he does it, it’s the right thing to do. Such as going to war. Pushing a button that is going to launch missiles.”

The “button” Brennan is referring to is the president’s nuclear “football,” a briefcase that can be used by the president to authorize a nuclear strike.

Since President Trump entered the Oval Office, Brennan has dedicated his post-government career to undermining the duly elected president and encouraging rebellion within the federal government.

On Tuesday, Brennan appeared on MSNBC and told federal employees in the intelligence community that they have an “obligation” to reject against the president’s orders.

“This is something that I’m hoping that individuals of conscience are going to stop and prevent,” Brennan said of the declassification order, “because I’m concerned that this is just one indication that Mr. Trump is going to increasingly look for steps to take in order to further try to subvert the Mueller investigation.”

“I think that they should continue to push, push, push; if Mr. Trump and the White House does not relent, well, then I think they have some decisions to make, whether or not they’re going to just not follow that direction and be fired, or to resign, but if they really believe that this is going to have serious impact on our national security, law enforcement, and judicial process, they have an obligation, since they took an oath of office to the Constitution of the United States, not to Mr. Trump, to uphold their responsibilities and their agency and departments’ authorities,” he added.

Of course, Brennan does not mention that their “obligation” to the Constitution entails that these bureaucrats follow the orders of the commander in chief, who is the ultimate authority on matters of classification.

While leading the CIA, Brennan played an active role in the massive, unprecedented espionage operation against the Trump campaign and transition team. Given the evidence we already have of Brennan’s role in undermining Trump, it’s very possible that the declassification order could expose documents that further implicate Brennan and his cohorts in the FBI and elsewhere.

In August, the Trump administration revoked Brennan’s security clearance. White House press secretary Sarah Sanders explained that it was necessary to “protect classified information and who has access to it.” (For more from the author of “John Brennan Compares Trump Declassification Order With… Pushing the Nuke Button” please click HERE)

Mark Levin’s Blistering Rebuke of the Dems’ Kavanaugh Smears Is Fire

On his radio program Wednesday evening, CRTV host Mark Levin issued a blistering rebuke to the progressive Democrats responsible for smearing Judge Brett Kavanaugh these past few days.

“What you see here, ladies and gentlemen, is a battle between those who support the Constitution and those who don’t,” Levin said. “Those who support constitutionalism and those who support progressivism.”

“Progressives are not compassionate; progressives don’t have big hearts,” Levin continued. “They use people. In the name of people, they destroy people. In the name of the public, they destroy society. They are power-hungry. They are control freaks. They are authoritarians, and you’re seeing it all over TV and all over Congress.”

Watch: Former Kavanaugh Law Clerk Crushes Left’s Narratives by Recalling Her Time Working for Him

By Conservative Tribune. Having failed to effectively block or derail Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination to the Supreme Court through normal means and legal issues, Democrats and their liberal media allies have resorted to besmirching his reputation through unsubstantiated allegations of sexual misconduct and blatant smears against his character. . .

In response to the terrible allegation that liberals are using to paint Kavanaugh as some sort of sexual predator, dozens of women who’ve known or worked with the judge over the course of his lengthy career have come forward to dispute that characterization of the nominee.

One of those women is a former law clerk of Kavanaugh’s named Jennifer Mascott, who had nothing but positive things to say about her former boss in a testimonial shared on Facebook by The Daily Signal.

“I’m Jen Mascott. I clerked for Judge Brett Kavanaugh his first year on the bench from 2006 to 2007. So, I really had the honor to clerk for Judge Kavanaugh his first term,” Mascott said.

“He’s gone on to have more than 50 percent of his law clerks be women, and he keeps up with each of his law clerks and continues to mentor us professionally,” she continued. “And I could not be more enthusiastic about President Trump nominating him to a seat on the Supreme Court. Opposition to Kavanaugh grows, support at historic low: Reuters/Ipsos poll

By Reuters. A growing number of Americans said they opposed President Donald Trump’s Supreme Court nominee, Brett Kavanaugh, as the candidate’s confirmation hearings took place and as he fended off a sexual assault claim, a Reuters/Ipsos poll showed.

The Sept. 11-17 poll found that 36 percent of adults surveyed did not want Kavanaugh in the Supreme Court, up 6 points from a similar poll conducted a month earlier.

Only 31 percent of U.S. adults polled said they were in favor of Kavanaugh’s appointment.

If support for his nomination remains this weak, Trump’s pick would rank among the lowest-supported Supreme Court nominees to later be confirmed, according to historical data from Gallup. (Read more from “Opposition to Kavanaugh Grows, Support at Historic Low: Reuters/Ipsos Poll” HERE)

As Ex-Girlfriends Vouch for Kavanaugh, Hollywood Actress Jumps in

A line has clearly been drawn regarding the potentially damning sexual allegations launched against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.

On the same day two women who used to date Kavanaugh came out in stark defense of him on Fox News, Hollywood actress Julia Louis-Dreyfus has come out to support the accuser by signing a letter penned by various members of her alma mater.

Louis-Dreyfus, an alumna of Holton-Arms School in Bethesda, Maryland, the same college prep school Kavanaugh accuser Christine Blasey Ford went to, came out to publicly support Kavanaugh’s accuser.

“Dr. Blasey Ford’s experience is all too consistent with stories we heard and lived while attending Holton. Many of us are survivors ourselves,” the letter signed by various Holton-Arms alumnae reads.

“It demands a thorough and independent investigation before the Senate can reasonably vote on Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination to a lifetime seat on the nation’s highest court,” the letter states.

‘Deep State’ Operative Revealed: Federal Employee Admits His Terrifying Goal

In the wake of an anonymous Op-Ed published by The New York Times earlier this month, pundits have speculated extensively about the scope and size of a resistance effort inside the Trump administration.

As The Western Journal previously reported, The Times article was written by a senior official who explained that the opposition is “not the popular ‘resistance’ of the left” but an effort to restrain President Donald Trump from acting on potentially dangerous instincts.

“We want the administration to succeed and think that many of its policies have already made America safer and more prosperous,” the unnamed individual wrote.

In a recent report, however, Project Veritas claims to have uncovered evidence of a leftist effort to stymie the current administration’s

Project Veritas founder James O’Keefe, who has faced criticism in the past for deceptively editing his undercover sting videos, says his latest report exposes “deep state” actors within the executive branch.

“For more than a year, Project Veritas has been investigating the deep state,” he said. “We have caught on our undercover cameras conspirators admitting to violating their ethics reports, illegally using government resources and subverting government policies. What you’re about to see is the hidden face of the resistance inside the executive branch of our government.”

The video included clips from an undercover interview with Stuart Karaffa, identified as a Metro DC Democratic Socialists of America member who also holds a position within the U.S. Department of State.

Karaffa seems to suggest in one segment of the video that he works on leftist political projects while getting paid to perform nonpartisan tasks within the State Department.

“I’m careful about it,” he said. “I don’t leave a paper trail, like I leave emails and like any press s— that comes up, I leave that until after 5:30. But as soon as 5:31 hits, got my like draft messages read to send out.”

At another point, he appears to describe his perceived position within the federal government as a force of disruption.

“Resist everything,” Karaffa said. “Every level. F— s— up.”

After apparently acknowledging his behavior is improper, he said he is not afraid of retaliation.

“Maybe someday I’ll go to board of elections jail,” he said. “Probably not.”

Karaffa went on to say that it is “impossible to fire federal employees.”

Among the specific political acts he seemed to admit performing while on the clock was monitoring Virginia’s political activity.

“I mean I could make the case before a court of law that I’m going to the Virginia, sort of campaign finance website, that I’m just interested in what people are doing politically,” he said. “But if they also go and look at like [Democratic Socialists of America] minutes and like officer positions they’ll be like, ‘That’s weird, you were the co-chair of the electoral caucus and you spent three hours on a Virginia campaign finance website.’”

The Washington Times published a statement from a State Department spokesperson who confirmed that Karaffa “is a Management and Program Analyst with the Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations.” (For more from the author of “‘Deep State’ Operative Revealed: Federal Employee Admits His Ridiculous Goal” please click HERE)

Venezuelan Journalist Hits Jim Carrey With Scathing Reality Check for Praising Socialism

Hollywood superstar Jim Carrey made headlines last weekend when he declared that Democrats needs to “say yes to socialism” and stop apologizing for their increasingly progressive agenda. . .

Writing in an open letter published in Runrunes, Venezuelan columnist Laureano Márquez eloquently explains that socialism in the root cause of Venezuela’s current crisis — one that started as an idea, but manifested itself much differently than leaders promised.

“I admire you very much, but sometimes it seems that the inability of Hollywood stars to understand politics is directly proportional to their scenic talent. [Ronald] Reagan was always an actor of very little talent, thank God,” Márquez began. “I read that…you said: ‘We have to say yes to socialism, to the word ‘socialism’ and to everything.’ Perhaps for you, as for all humanity, the word ‘socialism’ sounds beautiful.” . . .

“[In] Venezuela, what we find is just that our regime is not – for God’s sake – the antithesis of selfishness,” he explained. “In Venezuela, dear Jim, from what I have just told you, there is no equitable distribution of wealth; wealth is concentrated, as rarely before in our history, in very few hands.”

Socialism’s grim reality is so bad, Márquez explained, that his society’s most vulnerable people groups are at “God’s mercy,” fleeing the country in search of food, medicine, and other basic necessities to survive.
