SWAT Brings out the Big Guns When Anti-ICE Protesters Try Blockading Federal Building

The hot new thing to do on the left these days in response to President Donald Trump’s no-nonsense, “zero tolerance” policies on illegal immigration is to protest and call for the abolition of the agency tasked with upholding such laws, namely the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency. . .

The latest gambit of this sort occurred this week in the Denver area as protesters set up camp on Sunday along the public sidewalk in front of the Centennial ICE facility in Aurora, Colorado, only to see their efforts busted up by police on Thursday, according to The Hill. . .

Unlike in Portland, where the local law enforcement agencies essentially “stood down” and allowed protesters to wreak havoc for weeks against the federal officials — leaving it almost entirely up to federal agents to clear out the area so the mess could be cleaned up — local law enforcement agencies in Colorado stepped up and provided an assist to their federal colleagues who were being harassed and targeted by the antics of the unlawfully assembled group.

The Denver Post reported that a SWAT team with the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office arrived on scene late Thursday afternoon and began the process of detaching the protesters from each other and taking them into custody.

Armed with riot gear, rifles and power tools, the sheriff’s office SWAT team used those power tools to carefully cut through the cylinders and chains to separate the protesters that had stretched themselves across the entrance/exit of the facility, preventing anyone from coming or going in a vehicle, according to KDVR. Trump to Nominate Vitiello for Top Job at ICE

By The Washington Post. The White House announced Monday that President Trump intends to nominate Ronald D. ­Vitiello to head the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency, potentially averting a confirmation showdown by choosing an experienced law enforcement official for the role.

Vitiello, a 30-year veteran of the U.S. Border Patrol, was named acting director of ICE last month. Trump’s previous pick for the job, Thomas Homan, stepped down after his nomination process stalled and Republican leaders did not bring his confirmation up for a vote in the Senate. Canadians Declare a Boycott on American Products to Punish Donald Trump. There’s One BIG Problem.

Canadian consumers are launching a “boycott” of American goods, The Wall Street Journal reports, in retaliation for Trump Administration tariffs and President Donald Trump’s penchant for poking fun at their beloved Prime Minister.

But there’s one big problem: many of the consumer products Canadians believe are made in Canada are actually made in the United States, or by American corporations.

The “boycott” officially began in July, in response to the Trump Administration’s new 20% tariff on Canadian steel (and a host of other, less significant tariffs on things like Canadian aluminum), and after President Donald Trump called Prime Minister Justin Trudeau “weak” at a meeting of the “group of 7.” Angry at being disrespected, Canadians pledged to purge their shopping carts of anything made below their southern border.

“Usually we don’t pay that much attention to it,” one Canadian consumer told the WJS. “You tend to buy the products that taste good or you buy the products that are low in price where taste isn’t an issue.” But, he added, this summer it got personal.

Most products assumed to be Canadian, though, are actually American. Old Dutch chips, for example, are mostly consumed in Canada, but are made in Minnesota. And, it turns out, Americans make a lot of products that people use every day. Canadians might be able to do without Heinz ketchup, but they probably won’t give up drinking Starbucks or Coca-Cola, using Apple and Microsoft technology, eating at McDonalds and Pizza! Pizza! (the local iteration of Little Caesars) or wearing American-made clothing. If they do, they’ll hurt local Canadian franchise owners before they harm American business interests. Dems Step on Their Own Gender PC Rake and Get Slammed Right in the Face

A conservative state lawmaker in Massachusetts demonstrated exceptionally well how conservatives need to fight in state legislatures last week, single-handedly defeating a bill that would allow people to list their genders as “X” on driver’s licenses or other forms of state ID.

Massachusetts Senate President Karen Spilka, D-Ashland, introduced S.2562, which would allow an individual to check “X” instead of male or female at the Registry of Motor Vehicles when the person is applying for a driver’s license, permit, or other form of identification. Praising the bill as a “joyous occasion” for kids’ lives, Spilka said if it would help people feel more comfortable in their gender confusion, “Why not do it?”

“There’s no reason for somebody to have to check off a box of male or female on their license,” she said, according to MassLive.

Social conservatives objected, and Rep. Jim Lyons, R-Andover, decided to throw the Democrats’ gender political correctness right back in their faces, claiming the proposed bill was discriminatory. Only listing three genders — male, female, and “X” — left out those who identify as “gender fluid,” or “gender questioning,” or “trigender,” “trans male,” “trans woman,” “androgynous,” “pangender,” or any one of Facebook’s 73 gender options, and Lyons was ready to do something about it.

The conservative lawmaker prepared 73 amendments to the bill to include each and every gender listed by Facebook. None of his proposed amendments could be ruled out of order, and under House rules, each required 10 minutes of debate with three minutes for a roll call vote. That’s over 15 hours of legislative time. If Democrats really wanted to include this piece of PC gender theory propaganda in law, they would have to go on record opposing each gender amendment vote and delay important votes on real issues.

The Massachusetts legislature’s website shows that Lyons was able to introduce 29 of his amendments before the Democrats surrendered and pulled the bill.

The Boston Herald’s Howie Carr reports that leaving the House building, a reporter asked Lyons why he tanked the gender “X” bill.

“Are you saying you want to leave some genders behind?” Lyons replied.

This, ladies and gentlemen, is how you turn a premise against the Left and whack them over the heads with it to defeat their dumb proposed laws.

By The Blaze. If there’s one thing President Donald Trump accomplished while running for the White House, it was fracturing the Republican Party into two camps: The Trump supporters and the so-called “Never-Trumpers.”

Never-Trumpers are mostly conservatives who could not, in good conscience, support Trump’s candidacy, despite his upwelling of populist support from America’s heartland that looked like it could defeat Hillary Clinton.

Many Never-Trumpers have relented a year and a half into Trump’s presidency, thanks to his action on tax reform and his Supreme Court nominees, Neil Gorsuch — who has since been confirmed to the court — and Brett Kavanaugh, whose confirmation process is heating up. . .

The unidentified man told Fox News reporter Griff Jenkins that he didn’t vote for Trump in 2016 because he didn’t think Trump would be “a good Republican.” But Trump has done a lot to change his mind since. . .

“The best thing he’s done in my opinion is the tax cuts and the Supreme Court pick, and if he keeps doing a good job, I will — so I didn’t vote for anybody in this very last election, but this time around I probably will vote for him,” he explained.

Trump Says It’s a ‘Complete Fabrication’ He’s Concerned His Son Is in Legal Trouble in Russia Probe

By ABC News. President Trump took to Twitter Sunday to insist he is not concerned about potential legal questions surrounding his son Donald Trump Jr.’s involvement in a 2016 Trump Tower meeting with Russians.

The president called it “a complete fabrication” that he is “concerned about the meeting my wonderful son, Donald, had in Trump Tower.”

Trump was apparently responding to reporting from The Washington Post and other outlets that the president has been increasingly brooding in private about the Mueller probe, particularly as it relates to his son’s possible entanglement in the investigation.

A video of President Trump stopping his motorcade and climbing out of his limousine to greet a couple dozen flabbergasted firefighters is setting the interwebs on fire.

In the video, when “The Beast” (as Trump’s car is known) suddenly stops, two Secret Service agents walk up to the window. It’s unclear if they’re trying to discourage the president from getting out or simply making a quick plan for his impromptu stop.

One firefighter had been filming the motorcade as it rolled in. As the agents talk with the president, the firefighter says, “No, he’s not…” and laughs nervously. . .

Lawmaker Under Heavy Fire After Stomach-Churning Nude Photo Scandal Breaks

In what was easily the most stomach-churning, dispiriting political story of the week, an Illinois state representative has resigned after his ex-girlfriend alleged he used naked photos of her to lure men into explicit, sexually charged online discussions.

According to Politico, first-term Illinois state Rep. Nick Sauer was drummed out after Kate Kelly, his former girlfriend, filed a complaint with the Illinois’ Office of the Legislative Inspector General.

Kelly’s complaint stated Sauer used the pictures on an Instagram account “to catfish other men using my privately shared naked photos. Nick would use this account to direct message men with my photos to engage in graphic conversations of a sexual nature. The men believed they were communicating with me and Nick shared private details of my life.”

The complaint also claims Kelly has filed a complaint with the Chicago Police Department over Sauer’s use of the photos and that law enforcement is conducting “an active investigation” into the allegations. Chicago Police have not yet responded to a Freedom of Information Act request in the matter.

Kelly told Politico that the two started a long-distance relationship on dating app Tinder and that she moved to Chicago in 2017 to be with him. Dad Catches Pervert Allegedly Taking Upskirt Photos at Target. It Doesn’t End Well.

By The Blaze. . .According to KCAL-TV, Ismael Duarte was at the Cypress, California, store with his 15-year-old daughter on Sunday evening.

Duarte, whom police are now hailing as a hero, reportedly spotted the suspect — later identified as 29-year-old Jorge Anthony Ibarra Jr. — when he attempted to get close to Duarte’s daughter. . .

Duarte said that he was able to prevent Ibarra from getting any closer to his daughter, but Duarte later reportedly spotted Ibarra trying it again — this time on another unsuspecting female.

“We were coming over to the register and he pops out following another girl,” Duarte said, and that’s when he decided to take matters into his own hands and apprehend the man.

According to KCAL, Duarte was able to tackle Ibarra and kick his phone away. Ibarra, apparently realizing his cover was blown, reportedly fled, but Duarte and his wife chased after the suspect and were able to take photographs of his vehicle and license plate. Dad Tackles Upskirt Photo Suspect at Cypress Target

By CBS Local. Authorities have announced the arrest of a suspect accused of taking upskirt photos of unsuspecting women.

On Sunday, just after 8 p,m., Cypress officers were notified that a male suspect had been taking upskirt photos of women at a Target store in Cypress (6835 Katella Avenue.)

The suspect fled the scene after a Good Samaritan apparently witnessed the man in the act and tackled him to the floor.

In this incident, police heard from at least two victims and multiple witnesses, they said.

Just Released: Here’s What the FBI Is Hiding About Christopher Steele

By The Daily Caller. The FBI released its internal records on Christopher Steele, the former British spy behind the controversial “Russia dossier.”

One problem: Nearly every page has been redacted.

The total records, made public Friday, span 71 pages and contains various documents showing payments to Steele, who is referred to as a “Confidential Human Source,” over an unlisted period of time.

FBI Paid Dossier Author Christopher Steele, Heavily Redacted Documents Show

By RT. The FBI has released 70 pages of documents related to contacts with British spy Christopher Steele, author of the notorious Trump-Russia dossier. Though almost entirely whited out, the documents still show FBI paid Steele.

The documents were released on Friday after the conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch sued to get access to them under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). The release consists of fifteen FD-1023 source reports, thirteen FD-209a contact reports, eleven FD-794b payment requests, a FD-1040a document severing the bureau’s relationship with Steele, and a FD-1057 form showing Steele was “verbally admonished” by the FBI for an unspecified transgression.

Perhaps the most puzzling document is the FD-1057, noting that Steele was “admonished” by a FBI handler for an unspecified infraction. That document is dated February 2, 2016. Yet Fusion GPS would not hire Steele to compile a dossier on then-candidate Donald Trump until June, according to media reports that have not been denied by the FBI or Fusion executives.

“The anti-Trump Russia ‘investigation’ had Christopher Steele at its center and his misconduct was no impediment to using information from his Russia intelligence collaborators to spy on the Trump team,” Judicial Watch president Tom Fitton said on Friday. “The corruption and abuse is astonishing.”

The documents, while almost a “literal whitewash,’ align with the claims by US President Donald Trump and his supporters that the FBI’s Russia investigation was politically motivated, journalist Max Blumenthal told RT. Levin Tells Trump What He Should Tell Mueller — Scorching Hot

Thursday evening on “Hannity,” LevinTV host Mark Levin told Sean Hannity exactly what President Donald Trump should tell special counsel Robert Mueller, if Mueller insists on meeting with the president.

Levin highlighted the hypocrisy of the Paul Manafort trial, which Hannity noted was nothing more than a “cheap” attempt to get the president in court.

“If [Manafort] did all these things … during the Obama administration, who was the FBI director? Mueller. Mueller was the FBI director, he did nothing about it, apparently.” Levin said.

“Let me tell you something, Mr. Mueller, you’re not the king of the universe,” Levin said.

Levin explained that Mueller’s investigation is not about wanting justice, it’s about wanting to take down Trump.

“I hope the president’s lawyers are listening to me, and the president, right now. Here’s what you should tell Mr. Mueller: have a meeting with him and tell him, you’re unconstitutional under the Appointments Clause, what you’re doing is unconstitutional as far as we are concerned, we are not going to bow to you, this is the office of the President of the United States, you are a rogue prosecutor, now get the hell out of my office and make sure the door doesn’t hit you in the ass. I’ll see you in court. That’s the beginning and the end of it, as far as I’m concerned,” Levin said. Drowning in Debt: These States Are Approaching a Point of No Return

By Townhall. Having grown up in New Jersey, you understand that Democrats are a tax and spend party and even liberals in the state understand it. The Garden State is a case study in mass exodus; it’s just too expensive to live there anymore. Are there signs that the Democrats get it? Maybe—the heavily Democratic legislature in Trenton had to tell Governor Phil Murphy that his tax increase agenda was more or less not going to happen. Taxes still went up, but it was not the insane proposal the governor’s office had pushed. Still, I doubt Demorats in these states will find rational solution to their fiscal woes. After decades of irresponsibility, these states are approaching a day of reckoning. It’s the usual blue state madness crew: New Jersey, New York, Illinois, and California. For some, pension payments are a struggle (via Fox Business):

These American States are Drowning in ‘Irretrievable’ Debt

By Fox Business. Connecticut may be the richest state in the country, on a per capita basis, but it’s racked up a sizable debt worth more than $53 billion – and it could be taxpayers who are forced to bail out the Constitution State, according to the former governor of Indiana.

“Someone’s going to the barbershop,” Mitch Daniels, a Republican, said during an interview with FOX Business’ Stuart Varney on Thursday. “The first will be the taxpayers, already beleaguered in some of these states.” . . .

In Illinois, for instance, vendors wait months to be paid by a government that’s $30 billion in debt, and one whose bonds are just one notch above junk bond status, according to Daniels. New York’s more than $356 billion in debt; New Jersey more than $104 billion; and California more than $428 billion.

“They’re just one of a number of states, including some of the biggest states, that are in deep water,” Daniels said. “I think it is irretrievable. Pensions is the core of it.
