Bergdahl Sentence – Obama Is Still Giving the Orders

It was a show trial, but not in the usual meaning of the term. Bowe Bergdahl was never meant to be punished. The trial was all for show.

It was not, however, mismanagement or incompetence, but arguably deliberate.

On the night of June 30, 2009, then Army Private First Class Bowe Bergdahl went missing. On July 2, 2009, the Pentagon said that Bergdahl had walked off his base in eastern Afghanistan with three Afghan counterparts and was believed to have been taken prisoner. Bergdahl’s commanding officers said that a vigorous, but unsuccessful 45-day search for Bergdahl put soldiers in danger. During his nearly five years as a captive of the Taliban, the Army twice promoted, Bergdahl, first to the rank of specialist in June 2010, then to the rank of sergeant in June 2011. On May 31, 2014, Bergdahl was released from captivity in exchange for five senior Taliban commanders held at Guantanamo Bay in a controversial deal negotiated by the Obama Administration.

In June 2014, Major General Kenneth Dahl was assigned to lead the Army’s investigation into the 2009 disappearance and capture of Bergdahl. In August 2014, Dahl interviewed Bergdahl. In December 2014, after a comprehensive legal review, the Dahl investigation was forwarded to a General Courts Martial Convening Authority, Gen. Mark Milley, commanding general of Forces Command.

On March 25, 2015, the Army announced, based on Gen. Milley’s recommendation, that it was charging Bergdahl with misbehavior before the enemy and desertion, carrying a maximum penalty of life imprisonment.

In April 2015, an Article 32 hearing of the Bergdahl evidence was scheduled for July 8. 2015. An Article 32 hearing is similar to the civilian evidentiary or probable cause hearing to determine, after a criminal complaint has been filed, whether there is enough evidence to require a trial. In June 2015, at the request of the defense, the Article 32 hearing was postponed until September 17, 2015.

According to one report of the September 17th Article 32 hearing, Army prosecutors presented a very weak case in support of the charges against Bergdahl. They chose not to call any of Bergdahl’s enlisted comrades who had a very different impression of his behavior than the one Bergdahl gave to investigators. Prosecutors also did not call any witnesses to support the argument that the Army lost men trying to recover Bergdahl.

Remarkably, the Army allegedly buried recordings of signals surveillance in Afghanistan from July 1-2, 2009, days after his disappearance, where Taliban are talking on Bergdahl’s own phone saying he wanted to join them and other recordings where the Taliban, on their phones, are talking about Bergdahl trying to join them.

In an even more bizarre twist of events, the investigating officer, Maj. Gen. Dahl, appeared as a defense witness, where he provided exculpatory “psychological” evidence, describing Bergdahl as a confused, poorly adjusted idealist who doesn’t deserve further punishment.

The presiding officer of the Article 32 hearing, Lt. Col. Mark Visger reportedly recommended a special court-martial for Bergdahl, rather than a general court-martial, the former being essentially a military version of a misdemeanor court. According to Bergdahl’s lawyer, Eugene Fidell, Lt. Col. Visger called for unusually light penalties, recommending against both a dishonorable discharge and confinement.

The following year, the New York Times reported that the Army’s 22-member investigative team, led by Maj. Gen Dahl, which spent two months interviewing scores of witnesses and compiled the report that formed the initial basis for prosecuting Bergdahl, never proposed that he should be tried on the most serious charges.

To an outside observer, it appeared both the prosecution and defense agreed, early on, that Bergdahl was indeed a confused, poorly adjusted idealist who didn’t deserve further punishment.

It was merely coincidental that President Obama appointed General Milley to be Chief of Staff of the Army and, within two months of the Article 32 hearing, Maj. Gen. Kenneth Dahl was promoted to Lieutenant General.

Future deserters will no doubt take note of how easily Bergdahl’s punishment went from life imprisonment to nothing.

The Bergdahl sentence was clearly an unconscionable travesty of justice and a slap in the face to all those who have honorably worn the uniform.

Yet, even before a trial began, the outcome seemed preordained, an eventual de facto Obama pardon, implemented by an Obama Pentagon. (For more from the author of “Bergdahl Sentence – Obama Is Still Giving the Orders” please click HERE)

Left-Winger Who Attacked Rand Paul Offers a Sketchy Motive

The socialist man who assaulted Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul on Friday — leaving Paul with five broken ribs — released a statement through his lawyer insisting the assault had “nothing to do” with politics.

Rene Boucher, a 59-year-old retired anesthesiologist, who lives next door to Paul, faces charges of fourth-degree assault for tackling the senator as he mowed his lawn. Paul suffered lung contusions as a result of the broken ribs, his office said. Boucher was ordered to remain 1,000 feet away from Paul and his family, except while in his house, as a condition for bail, according to a copy of the citation reviewed by The Daily Caller.

Paul’s neighbors said the assault was the result of a landscaping dispute, the New York Times reported. “They just couldn’t get along. I think it had very little to do with Democrat or Republican politics,” neighbor Jim Skaggs told the NYT. “I think it was a neighbor-to-neighbor thing. They just both had strong opinions, and a little different ones about what property rights mean.”

“The unfortunate occurrence of November 3rd has absolutely nothing to do with either’s politics or political agendas,” Matthew Baker, Boucher’s attorney, said in a statement released to Fox News. “It was a very regrettable dispute between two neighbors over a matter that most people would regard as trivial.”

Baker said that he hopes Paul and Boucher “get back to being neighbors as soon as possible.” (Read more from “Left-Winger Who Attacked Rand Paul Offers a Sketchy Motive” HERE)

Archaeologists Discover Mysterious Void Deep Within Great Pyramid of Giza

Archaeologists have uncovered a mysterious enclosure hidden deep inside the Great Pyramid of Giza, the oldest of the seven wonders of the ancient world.

The massive cavity stretches for at least 30 metres and lies above the grand gallery, an impressive ascending corridor that connects the Queen’s chamber to the King’s in the heart of the historic monument. It is the first major structure found in the pyramid since the 19th century.

It is unclear whether the void is a chamber or a corridor, or whether it played any more than a structural role in the pyramid’s construction – such as relieving weight on the grand gallery below. But measurements show that it has similar dimensions to the grand gallery, which is nearly 50 metres long, eight metres high and more than a metre wide.

Scientists discovered the void using sensors that detect particles known as muons, which rain down on Earth when cosmic rays slam into atoms in the upper atmosphere. The muons travel at close to the speed of light and behave much like x-rays when they meet objects. Armed with suitable equipment, researchers can used them to reveal the rough internal structure of pyramids and other ancient monuments.

“We know that this big void has the same characteristics as the grand gallery,” said Mehdi Tayoubi at the HIP Institute in Paris, a non-profit organisation that draws on new technology to study and preserve cultural heritage. “It’s really impressive.” (Read more from “Archaeologists Discover Mysterious Void Deep Within Great Pyramid of Giza” HERE)

Massive Vegas Twist: Report Puts Cops Outside Shooter’s Door Before Attack Started

One month after the Las Vegas shooting, there are a number of remaining questions about what led up to the massacre and how it unfolded, but there are also a several questions about why the timeline continues to change drastically—and the latest change puts law enforcement outside the shooter’s door minutes before the massacre began.

Some of the most glaring changes in the timeline have revolved around the account of Mandalay Bay Hotel security guard Jesus Campos, who was reportedly injured by suspected shooter Stephen Paddock. Campos went from being just another causality in the shooting to Paddock’s first victim, who was shot only once in the leg, despite the fact that the shooter fired 200 rounds down the hallway in his direction.

During an interview on Fox News with Tucker Carlson, an attorney for the victims revealed that not only did police officers respond to Campos after he was shot, they were right outside of Paddock’s door before he began shooting out of his hotel room window.

“As of yesterday it was that two—we knew about Campos—but there were two other police officers from MGM that were on the floor prior to the shooting,” Craig Eiland said.

The conversation came up while Carlson and Eiland were discussing the mysterious circumstances surrounding both Campos’ story and how tightly he has been controlled by MGM Grand.

“Maybe they’re concerned of what he’s going to say. Maybe they’re concerned he’s not going to stick with the MGM story,” Eiland said. “But eventually he will be examined under oath by attorneys in these cases and so it’s going to be important to know the timeline from what he says and from what the other two—now we know that there were two other police officers on the floor with him prior to the shooting—those are all questions that have to be answered and they eventually will be.”

Carlson responded to the revelation by asking, “Just to be clear—not Las Vegas Police Department, but MGM employees acting as security?”

“No. There was a report yesterday that there were two off-duty officers on the floor that responded to Campos prior to the shooting beginning,” Eiland confirmed for the third time.

Eiland also noted that MGM Grand claims to have a “corporate watch center” that trains its employees to report any suspicious activity. So if a guest arrived at Mandalay Bay Hotel with 27 rifles and 5,000 rounds of ammunition stored in 10 bags, why didn’t the employees who helped him, or the cleaning service who visited his room regularly, report suspicious activity? And if they did, why wasn’t it addressed?

I do think that after 30 days, we ought to be having more information than we have right now. For example, we know bits and pieces. We know that he arrived with 10 bags. We know that two bellmen helped him carry those bags up. Then we find out that those 10 bags had guns in them and 5,000 rounds of ammunition. We know that MGM claims to have a ‘If you see something, say something’ policy—and you’re telling us that nobody saw those guns over a 5-day period? No maid, no housekeeping, no food service ever saw any of the guns? Nobody saw him using power drills in the hallway? Nobody saw him setting up security cameras? These are all things that need to be answered.

As The Free Thought Project has reported, while the FBI’s timeline of the shooting continues to change, some of the most compelling questions have remained unanswered since Day 1, such as, why has no security footage of the shooter been released, despite the fact that he allegedly stayed in one of the most popular hotels in Las Vegas for several days before the shooting?

Planned Parenthood Gave Politicians More Funds in Single Year Than NRA Did in Entire Decade

The Federalist co-founder Sean Davis made a Washington Post article playing up the NRA’s donations to members of Congress look pretty silly with one simple tweet in early October.

The Post’s story detailed where roughly $3.6 million in NRA political donations have gone in the past few decades. However, Davis pointed out that Planned Parenthood’s political donations from last year alone absolutely dwarf that number.

“Reporter uses basic division on above tweet and you won’t believe what happens next,” Twitchy posted on Tuesday, calling out the article for being a bit overwrought.

“Since 1998, the NRA has donated $3,555,194 to current members of Congress,” The Post contributor Kyle Griffin tweeted, with a link to the story. “Find out here who has received donations.”

Davis replied: “A whopping $190,000/year spread out across 400+ races, huh? Planned Parenthood spent $38 million just last year.”

INDICT the Criminal Politicians! They Have ‘Blood on Their Hands’ in NYC Terror Attack

Mayor Bill de Blasio faced reporters after Tuesday’s jihadist attack on pedestrians along a bike path in lower Manhattan and declared it “a particularly cowardly act of terror.”

But revelations that the jihadist, a 29-year-old Uzbekistan national, came to America at the invitation of the U.S. government in 2010 under a program called the Diversity Visa Lottery, is spawning a chorus of questions . . .

Former FBI counter-terrorism specialist John Guandolo says the nation’s more than 3,100 mosques serve as “incubators” for jihad, and there is no such thing as a “lone wolf.” At least 80 percent of these mosques are staffed by foreign-born imams, many of them more radical and committed to the spread of Islamic law than those who stay in the Middle East.

“I am not sure why leaders are confused and ‘shocked’ by another jihad attack on U.S. soil,” he told WND. “These Islamic sites are the incubators for jihadists, just like the Islamic Society of Boston supported the Boston marathon bombers; the Islamic Center of Nashville and the local Muslim Student Association supported the Little Rock, Arkansas, jihadi; the Dar al-Hijra Islamic Center in Falls Church, Virginia, and the Islamic Center of Southern California supported 9/11 hijackers and Fort Hood jihadist Maj. Nidal Hassan; the Islamic Society of Chattanooga supported the jihadist who killed five of our men in uniform; and on and on it goes.” . . .

“Leaders like national security adviser HR. McMaster, New York Mayor De Blasio and others like them should be indicted for criminal negligence,” he added. “They have a professional duty to know these easily identifiable threats and do not. Now, once again, Americans are dead because of their unprofessionalism – the legal definition of criminal negligence. We put doctors and lawyers in jail for this, and it is high time our local and federal leaders who are willfully or ignorantly failing in their duties to secure American communities go to jail for it, too.” (Read more from “Politicians Have ‘Blood on Their Hands’ in NYC Terror Attack” HERE)

53-Year-Old Nuclear Missile Accident Revealed

Bob Hicks was spending a cold December night in his barracks 53 years ago at Ellsworth Air Force Base near Rapid City when the phone rang.

It was the chief of his missile maintenance team, who dispatched Hicks to an incident at an underground silo.

“The warhead,” the team chief said, “is no longer on top of the missile.”

Hicks eventually learned that a screwdriver used by another airman caused a short circuit that resulted in an explosion. The blast popped off the missile’s cone — the part containing the thermonuclear warhead — and sent it on a 75-foot fall to the bottom of the 80-foot-deep silo.

The courageous actions Hicks took that night and over the next several days were not publicized. The accident was not disclosed to the public until years later, when a government report on accidents with nuclear weapons included seven sentences about it. The report listed the accident as the nation’s first involving a Minuteman missile. (Read more from “53-Year-Old Nuclear Missile Accident Revealed” HERE)

Corey Feldman Names His Sexual Predator

The 80’s star said the man who attacked him when he was 14 years old is named John Grissom, an actor who had bit parts in some of Feldman’s films including “License to Drive” (1988) and “Dream a Little Dream” (1989).

Prior to the singer’s revelation on the talk show, Feldman wrote about the alleged pedophile in his 2014 autobiography, “Coreyography: A Memoir,” identifying Grissom by a false name, Ron Crimson, as advised by his lawyers at the time.

However, Grissom, who has been suspected by some on social media for several weeks, addressed speculation that he was Feldman’s predator.

On Grissom’s comment section on YouTube he denied Feldman’s accusations and wrote to one site user, “I said its not me I’m sick and tired of saying that when no one listens. So goddamnit I’m not repeating it anymore.”

Feldman warned Hollywood pedophiles issuing a message, “Now is your time. Be a man for the first time and come forward yourself. Turn yourself in. Let it be known…If you do not we’re coming for you.” (Read more from “Corey Feldman Names His Sexual Predator” HERE)

Forbes Editor’s Deranged Terror Tweet Shows Depravity of the Left

How sick do you have to be to downplay a terror attack in the name of climate science?

Eight people are dead after a terrorist plowed a truck into pedestrians on a lower Manhattan bike path. The suspect, identified by law enforcement officials as 29-year-old Sayfullo Saipov, reportedly screamed “Allahu akbar” as he exited the vehicle waving guns after crashing into a school bus. He was shot by a uniformed police officer and is now in custody. New York Police Commissioner James O’Neill said a paintball gun and pellet gun were recovered at the scene.

Saipov is reportedly an Uzbek national who came to the U.S. in 2010. A Muslim immigrant committing an act of terror on U.S. soil creates a narrative the Left absolutely does not want to talk about, and so already many in the media are twisting the facts. Whether it’s CNN reporting that Saipov “was yelling ‘God is great’ in Arabic” or Gov. Andrew Cuomo, D-N.Y., urging New Yorkers to carry on as if there is no radical Islamic terrorism problem, too many are obscuring the reality.

Some are more hamfisted than others, like Forbes deputy editor Halah Touryalai who thinks EPA administrator Scott Pruitt is scarier than radical Islamic terrorism.

The tweet links to an article from Mother Jones that attacks Pruitt for quoting the Bible as he explained his decision to bar scientists who receive federal grants from serving on independent science advisory committees.

“In the book of Joshua there is a story about Joshua leading the people of Israel into the promised land after Moses passed away,” Pruitt said Tuesday. “And Joshua says to the people of Israel choose this day whom you’re going to serve. And I would say to you this is sort of like the ‘Joshua Principle’ that as it relates to grants to this agency, you are going to have to choose either service on the committee to provide counsel to us in an independent fashion or you can choose grants, but you cannot do both.”

So, according to this Forbes’ deputy editor, Scott Pruitt’s decision is scarier than a murderous jihad attack, which today, claimed the lives of eight people in New York.

That is deranged. (For more from the author of “Forbes Editor’s Deranged Terror Tweet Shows Depravity of the Left” please click HERE)
