Top Battleground State Official Predicts It Could Take ‘Days’ To Count Votes

Pennsylvania Secretary of State Kathy Boockvar told NBC’s “Meet the Press” Sunday that 10 times as many people have already voted by mail during the 2020 election compared to 2016. In some counties, those ballots will not begin to be counted until Wednesday morning.

“So yes, it will take longer,” Boockvar said. She noted that final vote tallies are never in hand on Election Day because military ballots are not submitted until up to a week later, but she recognized that the regular absentee and in-person ballots will take longer than usual.

“I expect the overwhelming majority of ballots in Pennsylvania, that’s mail-in absentee ballots, as well as in-person ballots, will be counted within a matter of days,” she said, adding that counties plan to have people counting “24/7 until it’s done.”

While the vote counts may be known in a few days time, that does not necessarily mean the same for the election result. Boockvar confirmed that ballots received in the three days after Election Day will be counted but then segregated and set aside, as litigation continues over the Pennsylvania State Supreme Court’s decision to allow ballots to be received during those three days if they are postmarked by Election Day. That ruling also allowed ballots to be counted if they do not have a clear Election Day postmark as long as there is no evidence that they were sent later. WATCH: Democratic Party Leader Vows to ‘Lie,’ ‘Cheat’ and ‘Steal’ to Win; Left-Wing Radicals Post Online Guide to ‘Disrupting’ the Country If Election Is Close

By WND. A Democratic Party leader in Colorado says the 2020 election amounts to a “revolution,” meaning lying, cheating and stealing are morally acceptable actions if they help bring about the defeat of President Trump in November.

Kristopher Jacks, a member of the executive committee of the Colorado Democratic Party, expressed his beliefs in an undercover video released by Project Veritas.

“I am going to do everything morally acceptable to win. I will lie. I will cheat. I will steal. Because that’s morally acceptable in this political environment. Absolutely. We are pirates on a pirate ship,” he said.

“I want to make this point very loudly and very clearly,” he continued. “I said it nicely before, but I’ll say it more curtly now: 2020 is a political revolution.” . . .

“I think the right wing has a monopoly right now on strong, violent rhetoric, and I think they underestimate how many people on the left are organized, trained, armed, and ready to go should they decide to do their s***,” he said. “And I think all it will take is our numbers and a reminder that yeah, there’s a reason you guys feared the communists more than you feared the Nazis.”

Left-Wing Radicals Post Online Guide to ‘Disrupting’ the Country If Election Is Close

By Breitbart. An organization of radical left-wing activists has posted an online guide to “disruption” that outlines a plan to shut down the country and force President Donald Trump from power in the event that the 2020 election is too close to call.

The guide, “Stopping the Coup,” available as a Google doc, is being circulated by a group called ShutDownDC. It casts its plan for disruption as a response to an imagined “coup” by the president in the case of a close election.

In an email promoting the guide, ShutDownDC declares: “Preventing Donald Trump from stealing the election and remaining in office is likely to take mass, sustained disruptive movements all over the country.” The guide is a manual to that “disruption.”

Parts of the guide are committed to ensuring a “fair election.” Parts of it, however, read like a manual for staging a coup rather than a guide to preventing one:

In the context of a coup or highly contested election we need to be clear that our actions must directly affect the structures and pillars of power. Our largest asset in this regard utilizes the ideas of non-compliance through massive, broad based direct action. Where we can, we need to be in the streets, on the highways, or at the sites of power and power holders. In our jobs and lives we must refuse to allow those taking control the legitimacy of the power they seek through strikes, slowdowns, and boycotts, and public refusal to accept an illegitimate ruling party.

National Intelligence: Unmatched ‘National Security Threat’ Posed by China Includes Election Interference

China poses a greater national security challenge to the United States than any other country, including when it comes to possible election interference, according to Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe.

With the Nov. 3 presidential election fast approaching, a senior U.S. counterintelligence official warned earlier this month that Russia is actively trying to denigrate Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden. That same statement also said China “prefers” President Trump not win reelection and that Beijing views him as being more “unpredictable.” That counterintelligence official said China is “expanding its influence efforts ahead of November 2020” but seemed to describe China’s efforts as being mostly rhetorical in nature.

But in a statement given to the Washington Examiner, Ratcliffe, a former Texas Republican congressman who has overseen the nation’s 17 intelligence agencies since May, amplified the sense of urgency felt by the Trump administration to counter the broad reach of the Chinese Communist Party’s efforts to disrupt an unfavorable status quo.

“China poses a greater national security threat to the U.S. than any other nation — economically, militarily and technologically,” Ratcliffe said. “That includes threats of election influence and interference.”

He said China is “concerned” that Trump being reelected would “lead to a continuation of policies that they perceive to be ‘anti-China.'” Ratcliffe did not mention how Biden, a former vice president, is viewed in Beijing as an alternative U.S. leader. Postmaster General Eviscerates Democrat Conspiracy Theories

U.S. Postmaster General Louis DeJoy reassured Congress on Friday that the Postal Service is not hindering any of its mail processes leading up to the November election.

“As we head into the election season, I want to assure this committee, and the American public, that the Postal Service is fully capable of delivering the nation’s election mail securely and on time,” DeJoy said.

Despite the fact that the left’s accusations about USPS and the election have been proven false or unfounded, many, including Joe Biden, Barack Obama, Taylor Swift, and members of Congress still latched onto the conspiracy theories as truth. The widespread hysteria of this issue led Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi to call an emergency congressional hearing to question DeJoy, who fell prey to Democrats’ accusations that USPS and Trump are colluding to purposely remove mailboxes, slow mail delivery, and decommission mail-sorting machines.

When questioned by members of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committees about the integrity of USPS during the November election, DeJoy guaranteed that the allegations against him and Trump were unfounded. . .

The Postmaster General also denied claims that he ever colluded with President Trump to change USPS policies to meddle in the November election.

“I have never spoken to the president about the postal service,” DeJoy said. (Read more from “Postmaster General Eviscerates Democrat Conspiracy Theories” HERE)

Bernie Supporter Joe Rogan Now Says He’ll Vote Trump this November, Moving to Texas

By Benjamin Fearnow. Podcast host and comedian Joe Rogan said he would rather vote for President Donald Trump than Democratic candidate Joe Biden, arguing that Trump has held up well to the pressure of the office versus Biden.

The Joe Rogan Experience host spoke at his studio Friday with Eric Weinstein, managing director of the Thiel Capital investment firm, where the two compared Trump’s behavior and “fake alpha” persona to that of a professional wrestler. The conversation veered into 2020 politics after Weinstein complained people “express themselves moronically” when they are given no choices in life. The podcast host, who last week described the former Vice President as “very old” and “stumbling,” claimed the Democratic Party “made us all morons” by promoting Biden’s campaign and potential nomination. Rogan has previously stated he would “probably vote for” Bernie Sanders.

He appeared to compliment Trump’s vitality for seemingly “not aging at all” during his time in office.

Oh Yeah, There’s an Election: Presidential Campaign Overshadowed as World Explodes

By Washington Examiner. For those outside the Washington, D.C., Beltway and not consumed with political news, it’s easy to forget that there’s a presidential election this year. While society-changing, earth-shattering events such as the coronavirus pandemic, mass unemployment, and violent protests have taken center stage, the 2020 election itself is a bit of a snooze.

President Trump and presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden certainly respond to the catastrophic events as they try to sustain their campaigns. But the election itself is not driving the news, a dramatic change from previous years.

An April Pew Research Center survey found that 52% of people in the United States were paying close or fairly close attention to news about presidential candidates, significantly down from the same point in the 2016 cycle when 69% said they were paying close or very close attention to the presidential candidates. Meanwhile, 87% in the April survey said that they are paying close or very close attention to the coronavirus pandemic.

A former D.C. political digital operative now based on the Pacific Northwest put it bluntly: “Truly, who can really be thinking about the election when the pandemic is happening and it feels like society is ripping apart at the seams?”. . .

Even seasoned political operatives and activists confess that the Trump-Biden contest slipped their minds. (Read more from “Oh Yeah, There’s an Election: Presidential Campaign Overshadowed as World Explodes” HERE)

Trump Declines to Say Whether He’ll Accept 2020 Election Results in Fox News Interview

By Newsweek. President Donald Trump declined to say whether or not he will accept the results of the presidential election in November during an interview broadcast by Fox News Sunday.

“I have to see. Look … I have to see,” Trump told Fox News anchor Chris Wallace when he asked if the president would accept election results if he lost. “No, I’m not going to just say yes. I’m not going to say no, and I didn’t last time either.”

During the interview, the president dismissed polls that show him trailing presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden by significant margins – with many showing him down by double digits nationally.

“First of all, I’m not losing, because those are fake polls. They were fake in 2016 and now they’re even more fake. The polls were much worse in 2016,” the president said. (Read more from “Trump Declines to Say Whether He’ll Accept 2020 Election Results in Fox News Interview” HERE)

Justin Amash Nixes 2020 Presidential Run as Third-Party Candidate

Michigan Rep. Justin Amash has announced that he will not run for president as a third-party candidate, CNN reported Saturday.

“After much reflection, I’ve concluded that circumstances don’t lend themselves to my success as a candidate for president this year, and therefore I will not be a candidate,” he tweeted Saturday.

The Republican-turned-independent said in early April he was looking “closely” at a bid as Libertarian Party candidate, after he stopped actively campaigning for his House seat in February while he considered jumping into the presidential race.

The move brings to an end to his extended flirtation with a third-party candidacy that could have introduced a new element of uncertainty into the race between President Donal Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden, according to the New York Times.

He came into the national spotlight last May when he announced his support for impeaching President Trump over the findings in former special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election. He was the first and only House Republican to support impeachment, eventually voting for both articles of impeachment against the President as an independent late last year. WATCH: California Governor Orders Vote-By-Mail for November Election

California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) on Friday signed an executive order permitting all registered voters in the Golden State to vote by mail in the upcoming presidential election, citing concerns stemming from the Chinese coronavirus pandemic.

“I signed an executive order that will allow every registered voter in California to receive a mail-in ballot,” Newsom said. “That mail-in ballot is important but it’s not an exclusive substitute to physical locations.”

“People that are otherwise not familiar with mail-in ballots, are uncomfortable with them, may have disabilities, may have other issues that may preclude that as an appropriate option, we still want to have the appropriate number of physical sites for people to vote as well,” the governor added. . .

In a statement to CNN, Trump campaign communications director Tim Murtaugh slammed the move by Newsom, calling it a “thinly-veiled political tactic” to “undermine” election security.
