Trump-Supporting Billionaire’s Homosexual Partner’s Death Investigated as Suicide

Jeff Thomas, a model and social media influencer who was recently in a long-term relationship with billionaire Peter Thiel, said he spent much of his time with the tech mogul working to persuade him away from his increasingly aggressive pursuit of a culture war — a war that Thomas warned was blowing back on their community. . .

Thomas said that he felt like he had made strides with Thiel, though his effort was cut short earlier this month, on March 8, when he died tragically. His death is being investigated as a possible suicide, according to a Miami Police Department report and sources who have been contacted by the police for information. Miami police have been in contact with Thiel, and will interview him as part of the probe, two sources with knowledge of the investigation said.

Thiel did not respond to texts or phone calls requesting comment. Most of the people The Intercept spoke to during this reporting have requested anonymity, citing Thiel’s relentless and successful effort to obliterate Gawker in retribution for outing him in the 2000s. . .

Thiel, one of the biggest funders of Republican candidates in 2022, bankrolled a massive super PAC that backed Ohio Senate candidate and Thiel protégé J.D. Vance, called “Protect Ohio Values PAC.” He also put millions into Saving Arizona PAC, to support Blake Masters. Both candidates ran heavily on culture war issues, portraying themselves as fighting for an America with traditional conservative values against the libertine coastal elites. Using the institutional weight of their former esteemed roles, they signed a dishonest letter to mislead voters 15 days before the election, claiming that material from Hunter Biden’s laptop published by The New York Post “has all the classic earmarks of a Russian information operation.” . . .

It was all a lie. Their letter was the culprit “interfering with democracy” in broad daylight.

Not one of the 51 had seen any material from the laptop or bothered asking for it, but their letter, instigated by, signed and delivered to Politico by Democratic operative and former John Brennan aide Nick Shapiro, killed the story stone dead. It got candidate Joe Biden off the hook for the corrupt influence peddling scheme his family had been running through the eight years of his vice presidency. . .

As well as sharing their Trump derangement, the Dirty 51 sit on the same boards and think tanks, speak at the same events or liberal TV shows, write for the same publications, pal around with the same journalists, retweet each other’s “Slava Ukraini” or Mar-a-Lago memes, share hawkish views about regime change in Russia and are remarkably sanguine about the prospect of nuclear war. Joe Biden ‘May Have Been Involved in’ Hunter’s ‘Criminal Conduct’, Whistleblowers Say: Grassley

By New York Post. President Biden “may have been involved” in “potential criminal conduct” committed by first son Hunter Biden and first brother James Biden, Sen. Chuck Grassley charged in a letter to top law enforcement officials last week, citing FBI documents with “specific details.”

The Oct. 13 missive from Grassley (R-Iowa) to Attorney General Merrick Garland, FBI Director Christopher Wray and Delaware US Attorney David Weiss was obtained by the Washington Examiner Monday and accused the bureau of a “pattern and practice of political decisions,” citing FBI whistleblower allegations.

“The FBI has within its possession a series of documents relating to information on Mykola Zlochevsky, the owner of Burisma, and his business and financial associations with Hunter Biden. The documents in the FBI’s possession include specific details with respect to conversations by non-government individuals relevant to potential criminal conduct by Hunter Biden,” Grassley writes in the letter. “These documents also indicate that Joe Biden was aware of Hunter Biden’s business arrangements and may have been involved in some of them.”

Grassley did not elaborate on the contents of the documents.

79% Say ‘Truthful’ Coverage of Hunter Biden’s Laptop Would Have Changed 2020 Election

Nearly four of five Americans who’ve been following the Hunter Biden laptop scandal believe that “truthful” coverage would have changed the outcome of the 2020 presidential election, according to a new poll.

A similar percentage also said they’re convinced that information on the computer is real, with just 11% saying they thought it was “created by Russia,” according to the survey conducted by the New Jersey-based Technometrica Institute of Policy and Politics.

And an even higher number — 81% — said US Attorney General Merrick Garland should appoint a special counsel to investigate matters related to the first son’s infamous laptop, the existence of which was exclusively revealed by The Post in October 2020.

The poll results, published Wednesday, are based on responses from 437 adults who said they were following the laptop story “very” or “somewhat” closely when they were surveyed online earlier this month, according to the TIPP.

On the subject of the 2020 election, 79% overall said it was “very” or “somewhat” likely that “a truthful interpretation of the laptop” would have resulted in the reelection of former President Donald Trump instead of the election of President Biden. Young Voters Are Abandoning Biden — Here’s Why

Young voters were President Joe Biden’s most reliable supporters in 2020 but many have now soured on the president for three key reasons as he approaches the midpoint of his first term, numerous polls indicate.

Around 60% of 18- to 29-year-old voters backed Biden in 2020, making this younger group of Americans the age demographic he carried the most comfortably, but now Biden’s approval rating among younger voters is worse than his overall rate — 37% versus 38% — according to FiveThirtyEight. This decline in support is likely due to a perceived mishandling of the economy, a failure to fulfill campaign promises and general political disillusionment, recent polling data shows.

Young voters almost unanimously do not want Biden to run again in 2024, with 94% of voters age 18-29 hoping that someone else is at the top of the Democratic ticket, according to one New York Times poll.

The economy is top of mind for younger voters as here, too, they have soured on Biden even more dramatically than the general electorate. Last week’s YouGov/The Economist survey showed that just 34% of Americans aged 18 to 29 approved of the way Biden was handling jobs and the economy, less than the 37% of voters overall. Over a Third of GOP Voters to Back Candidate Who Embraces Trump’s Stolen-Election Claims, Says Poll

More than a third of Republicans say they are more likely to vote for a candidate who says the 2020 election was stolen from former President Donald Trump, a new poll shows.

A Quinnipiac University poll released Wednesday found that 35% of Republicans say they are more likely to support a candidate who embraces the stolen election claims, compared to 17% who said they would be less likely.

The remaining 44% of Republicans in the nationwide survey of adults said it makes “no difference.”

Conversely, 81% of Democrats said they would be less likely to vote for a candidate who embraces the stolen election claim, while 2% said they would be more likely to back one. Forty-four percent of independents said they would be less likely to support a stolen-election candidate, while 11% said they would be more likely to back one.

Mr. Trump’s stolen election claims and efforts to challenge the results of the 2020 election have taken center stage on Capitol Hill, where the Democratic-led Jan. 6 committee is holding hearings examining the events that led to last year’s riot at the U.S. Capitol. Smartmatic Lawsuit Against Trump Lawyer Sidney Powell Dismissed

A judge in New York has dismissed Sidney Powell, who brought multiple legal cases challenging the processes and procedures used by Democrats to defeat President Donald Trump in the 2020 election, from a lawsuit brought by one of the several voting machine companies that were offended by concerns about possible inaccuracies in the voting tabulations.

MSN reports that New York State Supreme Court Judge David B. Cohen this week dismissed Powell from the Smartmatic lawsuit, even as company officials said they’d brought similar claims against Powell in another jurisdiction.

“We’ve already filed a lawsuit in D.C. and asked to stay the proceedings until the New York court ruled,” a company official said.

The ruling left standing Smartmatic’s complaint against Rudy Giuliani, Fox News and several Fox News personalities.

Why an Election Commissioner in Texas’ Largest County Just Resigned

. . .[A]n election commissioner in Harris County, Texas has resigned for not counting some 10,000 ballots. When this oversight was discovered, Ms. Isabel Longoria decided to call it quits. This comes after the secretary of state office found that 12,000 non-citizens were able to cast ballots in the recent elections (via Just The News):

The elections commissioner in Texas’ largest county has resigned after revelations that 10,000 ballots were not counted in the Houston area in last week’s primary election.

“The buck stops with me to address issues for voters, and I did not meet my own standard or the standard set by commissioners,” Harris County Elections Commissioner Isabel Longoria said Tuesday in announcing her resignation during a meeting of the county commission.

Longoria said her resignation would take effect July 1 to ensure “there is a presiding officer during the May and June elections and allows the election commission the time they need to find a replacement. I remain committed to the office and its mission and hope to aid in defeating harmful rhetoric to ensure successful elections in the future.”

The revelations about the uncounted votes comes just weeks after the Texas secretary of state finished an audit that found nearly 12,000 foreigners had made it into the state’s voter rolls. Non-citizens are forbidden from voting in Texas.

Average Gas Price One Year Ago Was $2.25 per Gallon

The national average gas price per gallon in the United States on the eve of the January 6, 2021 riot at the Capitol was under $2.25 per gallon, while it hit a record-breaking price of over $4.10 per gallon as of March 7, 2022, according to reports.

The date, January 6, has been in headlines lately, thanks to the recent criminal conviction Tuesday of the first defendant in the Capitol riot to go to trial. . .

A ride to the “insurrection” would have been almost two dollars per gallon cheaper on the date of the Capitol riot.

Joe Breaks Promise: ‘In a Biden White House, There Will Be No Bullying of the Media’

President Joe Biden broke his 2020 campaign promise Monday not to bully the news media when he called Fox News’ Peter Doocy a “stupid son of a bitch” on a hot mic in response to a question about inflation at the White House.

As Breitbart News reported:

The hot mic occurred during a White House press conference Monday afternoon when Peter Doocy asked the president if rising inflation will severely hurt the Democrats in the coming mid-terms.

“Do you think inflation is a political liability in the mid-terms?” Doocy asked the president.

“It’s a great asset,” the president sarcastically responded. “More inflation. What a stupid son of a bitch.”

Patel: Joe Biden Completes His Historic Failure

By Daily Caller. Joe Biden campaigned as a moderate elder statesman who could help heal a divided country. The press played up the narrative that Biden put in place a team of professionals and technocrats who would provide real governing expertise as a salve from the chaos of the Trump years. The truth, of course, has been just the opposite.

Many Americans are coming to believe that, contrary to the expectations going in, the Biden administration is a rudderless, leaderless, overly ideological mess. Biden did not help himself at his rare press conference Wednesday.

When challenged on America’s declining faith in the competence of his government, Biden denied reality. He said the Afghanistan withdrawal was never going to be easy. This directly contradicts his assurances before the withdrawal when he said we could do it “responsibly, deliberately and safely.” Biden’s earlier statements are not a secret, and everyone knows that 13 American soldiers died after Biden outsourced security around the withdrawal to the Taliban. Deflecting this reality is dishonest, and it’s not helpful to Biden politically.

On COVID-19, Biden said he’s done remarkably well. This is hard to square with the standard Biden set in the election, when he said Trump was unfit for office after being responsible for 220,000 COVID-19 deaths. By this metric, Biden is now responsible for 400,000 COVID-19 deaths — the opposite of his promise to come in and “shut down” the virus.

In a rare admission, Biden acknowledged that there have been delays in his administration getting testing kits out. He didn’t mention that those delays were directly caused by his own staff. Back in October, testing experts recommended that the Biden administration send COVID-19 tests to American households before the holidays. Biden’s staff rejected the idea. As a result, people in towns across America waited in incredibly long lines for tests over the holidays. Biden, nonetheless, expressed continued confidence in this team.
