Arizona Supreme Court Green-Lights Ranked-Choice Voting Ballot Initiative Riddled With Duplicate Signatures

On Friday, the Arizona Supreme Court ruled that votes cast for a pro-ranked-choice voting constitutional amendment in the 2024 election will count — even though nearly 38,000 signatures supporting the amendment proposal were duplicates.

In its decision, the Grand Canyon State’s high court rejected a challenge seeking to have votes cast for Proposition 140 voided after a lower court special master disclosed that 37,657 pairs of signatures gathered in support of the measure were duplicates. As previously argued by the Arizona Free Enterprise Club (AZFEC), the finding “place[s] Proposition 140 thousands of signatures under the constitutionally required signature threshold to qualify for the [November] ballot.”

Prop 140 would amend the Arizona Constitution by implementing an open primary system in which candidates of all parties run in the same primary. It also paves the way for the state to potentially adopt ranked-choice voting (RCV) for general elections.

Under an RCV system, voters are asked to rank candidates of all parties in order of preference. If no candidate receives more than 50 percent of first-choice votes in the first round of voting, the last-place finisher is eliminated, and his votes are reallocated to the voter’s second-choice candidate. This process continues until one candidate receives a majority of votes.

As The Federalist previously reported, the Arizona Supreme Court allowed a signature challenge to Prop 140 filed by several residents to move forward on Aug. 23. The high court stated that if it were determined that enough invalid signatures existed to disqualify the initiative from appearing on the November ballot, the trial court “should issue an injunction precluding any votes for the measure from being counted,” as the state had already started printing ballots. The court issued a subsequent ruling on Sept. 16 vacating that statement and permitting the initiative’s supporters to make their arguments in the trial court that Arizona courts lack jurisdiction to remedy such a solution. Kamala Harris Claims To ‘Love America,’ But Her Record Shows She Hates It

At a campaign rally in Wisconsin last week with former Rep. Liz Cheney, Vice President Kamala Harris opened by saying, “we love America.” She repeated the phrase several times, emphasizing that what brought her and Cheney together is a love for country that transcends partisan politics.

Set aside whether the endorsement of Cheney matters at all to voters in either party. Her neocon Never-Trump brand of Republican politics is repugnant to most GOP voters, and Democrats have long denounced her father, former Vice President Dick Cheney, as a war criminal.

No one cares about the Cheney family’s endorsement of Harris. The more important question is: does Harris really love America?

Her record suggests she does not, and that in fact she hates America.

Consider what Harris said about America when the New York Times launched its 1619 Project back in 2019. She called it “a masterpiece” and endorsed its central thesis, saying, “We must speak this truth: the very foundation of our country was built on the backs of enslaved people.” (Read more from “Kamala Harris Claims To ‘Love America,’ But Her Record Shows She Hates It” HERE)

‘Radioactive’: Radical Historian Says America ‘Walking Into a Doomsday Scenario’ if This Presidential Candidate Wins

Historian Douglas Brinkley claimed Monday that the election of former President Donald Trump would usher in a “doomsday scenario,” just over a week after an assassination attempt on Trump was thwarted by the Secret Service.

The Secret Service thwarted the apparent assassination attempt on Trump September 15 by firing shots at Ryan Welsey Routh, who was allegedly lurking near Trump International Golf Club, two months after Trump was shot and slightly wounded in the right ear while giving a speech at a July 13 campaign rally in Pennsylvania. Brinkley and “Morning Joe” co-hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski maintained that criticism of Trump did not lead to the assassination attempt. “What would you say to those that say you can’t even suggest that Donald Trump doing all that he did is a threat to democracy or else you’re engaging in political hate speech?” Scarborough asked.

“What would you say to those that say you can’t even suggest that Donald Trump doing all that he did is a threat to democracy or else you’re engaging in political hate speech?” Scarborough asked.

“Well, it’s nonsense. You know, I’m a — I’m a practicing Catholic. When I see somebody like Donald Trump, it’s shot in the ear or what almost happened in Mar-a-Lago, you know, your prayers go off for him because you honor all humans. But if you’re talking about the danger, the inherent danger of Donald Trump, he’s radioactive,” Brinkley claimed. “He wants to come in and gut government because it’s rhetoric that sounds good. And you start trying to get rid of civil service, collapse the federal government, you are going to find a country in disarray.” . . .

“We’re walking into a doomsday scenario if Trump gets in. People better wake up, take the smelling salt and, you know, and pay attention right now,” Brinkley continued. “These next — these next days are going to be fast.” (Read more from “‘Radioactive’: Radical Historian Says America ‘Walking Into a Doomsday Scenario’ if This Presidential Candidate Wins” HERE)

New York Times: It’s Ok to ‘Help’ Your Mentally Incapacitated Relatives Complete Their Ballots

The New York Times encouraged a reader last week to “help” a 97-year-old woman with advanced memory loss — who is “becoming nearly impossible to communicate with” — to complete her ballot.

“When the situation is hazy, my inclination would be to err on the side of helping someone to vote, because voting is such a central form of civic participation,” wrote the Times’ “Ethicist” Columnist Kwame Anthony Appiah. . .

A reader wrote the Times, saying the grandmother has “advanced” Alzheimer’s and hearing loss. The reader wanted to know if it would be “unethical” to help the elderly woman vote in November, likely having the grandma do “the mechanics of voting” while family members “advise her.”

The reader claimed to have helped the grandmother fill out her absentee ballot in 2020.

“She held the pen while we did our best to explain each office and issue. If there was any confusion, we would tell her how we voted, and she would do the same,” the reader wrote. “Is it unethical to help her vote again this November?” (Read more from “New York Times: It’s Ok to ‘Help’ Your Mentally Incapacitated Relatives Complete Their Ballots” HERE)

Watch: Whom Does Alexa Recommend You Vote For? You May Be Shocked at the Response

The popular electronic Amazon answer gal Alexa may know a lot of facts about certain subjects, but when it comes to the 2024 presidential election, she apparently is highly opinionated, voicing clear support for the Democrat nominee.

Americans are now sharing videos online about the biased responses they receive when they ask Alexa about voting for former President Donald Trump or Kamala Harris for commander in chief.

For instance, when Alexa is asked, “Why should I vote for Donald Trump?” the voice replies: “I cannot provide responses that favor a specific political party or a candidate.” . . .

But when asked, “Why should I vote for Kamala Harris?” one reply indicates: “There are many reasons to vote for Kamala Harris. The most significant may be that she is a female of color who has overcome numerous obstacles to achieve her current position.

“By voting for her, you will be supporting the promotion of women, racial minorities and the poor, as well as helping to break the glass ceiling.”

Despite Wall-To-Wall Media Propaganda to Protect Kamala’s Incompetence, Voters Are Onto Her

Since a soft coup ousted President Joe Biden as the Democrat nominee in late July, the media have developed a pathological obsession with shielding Vice President Kamala Harris from any criticism or inconvenient fact.

To protect their anointed favorite, the media have engaged in a masterclass of revisionism, unleashing every trick in the book to manipulate their audience into buying the new, carefully crafted image of Harris. They’ve tried to claim that a woman whose office was described by her own staff as “soul-destroying” will bring back “joy” to American politics and that one of the most reviled vice presidents in modern history is actually the nation’s darling.

In 2021, the media reported that Harris played a critical role in Biden’s disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan. Politico stated that Harris “was the last person in the room” before Biden made the decision to pull out. The Washington Post characterized Harris as “as a vice president deeply involved in key moments.” The Los Angeles Times noted that Harris was “front and center as President Biden has overseen America’s retreat from Afghanistan.”

Yet the media screeched in unison when former President Donald Trump correctly identified Biden and Harris as the primary culprits behind the debacle that resulted in the deaths of 13 American servicemembers. Now the media is trying desperately to separate (Vice President!) Harris from Biden’s administration entirely, with outlets firing out patently ridiculous headlines like Politico’s doozy: “Vance tries to tether Harris to Biden during Michigan rally.”

One of the more egregious examples came from The Washington Post on Tuesday. The outlet attempted to “prove” that Biden’s disastrous tenure will in no way negatively affect Harris’ electoral prospects with a nifty little graph. “The GOP is trying hard to tie Harris more closely to Biden on the economy, immigration and the border,” Washington Post Senior Political Reporter Aaron Blake claimed. “One big problem: Americans don’t think she played a particularly central role.” (Read more from “Despite Wall-To-Wall Media Propaganda to Protect Kamala’s Incompetence, Voters Are Onto Her” HERE)

Brittany Mahomes Appears to Triple Down on Trump Support After Backlash

Brittany Mahomes, the wife of Kansas City Chiefs star quarterback Patrick Mahomes, seems to have tripled down on her apparent Trump support in the face of haters. . .

After intense backlash, Mahomes appeared to remove the like on social media. Still, according to Fox News, the former soccer player “appeared to like several comments on her most recent Instagram post that indicated support for Trump.”

One of the comments she liked said “TRUMP-VANCE 2024.”

The other comment referenced her recent social media activity that has suggested support for Trump and drawn backlash from those who do not support the former president. That comment said, “Glad to see you aren’t backing down. We are all entitled to our own opinions and shouldn’t be bullied into submission.”

Kelly Stafford, the wife of Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, appeared to like the second comment.

New Poll Reveals Trump Leading Harris in 2024 Presidential Race

A new Rasmussen Reports national poll has revealed a close contest for the 2024 presidential election, with former President Donald Trump edging out Vice President Kamala Harris. The poll shows Trump leading Harris by three percentage points, with Trump receiving 49% of the vote compared to Harris’s 46%.

The Rasmussen survey, conducted with a sample of 1,893 likely voters between August 15 and August 21, also indicates that Trump maintains his lead when third-party candidates are included. In this scenario, Trump receives 47% of the vote, while Harris trails at 45%. Independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. holds 4%, and other third-party candidates account for 1% or less. Kennedy is expected to suspend his campaign and endorse Trump, which could further strengthen Trump’s position.

Rasmussen’s findings stand in contrast to other national polls. The conservative-leaning firm has a track record of close predictions, notably in the 2016 election. Meanwhile, the latest RealClearPolitics aggregate shows Harris with a slight lead over Trump in a broader five-way race, and a narrower edge in a two-way matchup.

Despite Harris’s current lead in broader polls, Trump remains strong in battleground states, projected to win 287 Electoral College votes to Harris’s 251. Trump is anticipated to dominate in key swing states, excluding Wisconsin.

Harris Campaign, Google Could Face Lawsuit After Fake News Headline Scheme

WDAY Radio, a local news outlet in Fargo, North Dakota, is considering legal action after the Kamala Harris campaign deceptively edited WDAY headlines to make it look like they supported her in an ad campaign, its president told the Daily Caller.

The Harris campaign has been editing news headlines and descriptions within Google search ads to make it appear as if major news organizations explicitly support her, a bombshell Axios report revealed Tuesday.

WDAY was the only family-owned outlet listed in the report. Other outlets who had their content manipulated by Harris’ team included Reuters, the Associated Press, NPR, CNN, The Guardian, The Independent and more.

WDAY’s President blasted Google and the Harris campaign for the deception in an exclusive interview with the Daily Caller.

“We feel insulted and violated by what was done here,” Steve Hallstrom, the President and Managing Partner of Flag Family Media, which owns WDAY Radio, told the Daily Caller. (Read more from “Harris Campaign, Google Could Face Lawsuit After Fake News Headline Scheme” HERE)

Celebs Spread Deceptively Edited Video, Falsely Claim Trump Will Outlaw Elections

Hollywood celebrities are spreading a hoax claiming that former President Donald Trump will outlaw elections if he returns to the White House.

Their specious claim comes from a recent speech during which the GOP presidential nominee encouraged Christians to turn out en masse this November — with important context cut from a 27-second video clip.

“Four years, it will be fixed, it will be fine. You won’t have to vote anymore. In four years, you won’t have to vote again,” Trump said Friday to the crowd at Turning Point Action’s Believers’ Summit in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Celebrities twisted Trump’s remarks to claim that he will outright ban elections — when he was saying they needed to contribute to “a landslide that’s too big to rig” so a second Trump administration can reform election laws with voter ID requirements, thus reducing the need for massive turnout to counteract alleged voter fraud. The statement, in context, reads:

I will secure our elections. Our goal will be, as I said, one day voting with paper ballots, proof of citizenship, and a thing called voter ID. (Applause) You know, when you negotiate and I do that with the Democrats and I negotiate with them all the time on this. I say, look, we’re going to fix our laws with voting, we have to start with voter ID. Everybody has to — “No way!” — the discussion never even goes any further.

I say, we have to have voter ID. It’s called voter identification. “No, we’re not going to do it.” Now, there’s only one reason they do that. because they want to cheat. There’s only one reason.

. . .

And again, Christians — get out and vote! Just this time. (Applause) You won’t have to do it anymore. Four more years, you know what? It’ll be fixed, it’ll be fine. You won’t have to vote anymore. My beautiful Christians. I love you, Christians. I’m a Christian. I love you. Get out. You’ve got to get out and vote. In four years, you don’t have to vote again. We’ll have it fixed so good. You’re not going to have to vote.
