Court Acts on Biden Scheme to Force ER Doctors to Become Abortionists

A ruling from an appeals court has, for the time being, blocked a scheme by Joe Biden to alter the nation’s rules and regulations to force emergency room physicians to become abortionists.

According to a report form the ADF, the ruling is from the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in a case in which Texas challenged Biden’s plan to change the rules, under the Emergency Medical Treatment and Labor Act, to force those abortion procedures.

The ADF called the ruling “a pivotal victory for women, children, and healthcare professionals.”

The change-up of the rules was part of Biden’s campaign after the Supreme Court overturned the faulty Roe abortion precedent to install abortion mandates throughout the government wherever he could.

Government Report Reveals Nearly $2 Billion in Federal Funding for Pro-Abortion Groups

A recent report from the Government Accountability Office (GAO) sheds light on the substantial federal funding received by pro-abortion groups over a three-year period, totaling nearly $2 billion from 2019 to 2021. Planned Parenthood, a major recipient, received a staggering $1.78 billion during this period, despite executing 1.11 million abortions.

The revelations come amid growing public opposition to federal funding for abortion, with a January 2023 Marist poll indicating that three out of five Americans oppose using tax dollars to fund women’s abortions. Despite the Hyde Amendment’s restrictions on federal funds for most abortions, organizations like Planned Parenthood can still receive earmarked funds for other purposes.

In addition to the significant funding directed to Planned Parenthood, the report reveals allocations to other organizations, including $2.03 million to the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF) and $1.35 million to MSI Reproductive Choices. The report also notes $107.74 million going to four unnamed domestic regional organizations providing sexual and reproductive health-related services.

Pentagon Bill Now Includes Taxpayer Funding for Abortion, Sex Changes

The Heritage Foundation’s grassroots advocacy arm called Thursday for congressional lawmakers to reject the proposed National Defense Authorization Act, which includes funding for abortion and sex changes as well as to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in the military.

“Americans agree that maintaining a strong national defense involves having a mission-driven military that prioritizes restoring strength at home and ensuring peace abroad,” Ryan Walker, executive vice president of Heritage Action for America, said in a formal statement. “Instead, the Biden administration continues to weaken the integrity of our military by prioritizing abortion services, promoting CRT and DEI initiatives, and enabling sex reassignment surgeries within U.S. armed forces,” Walker said, using the acronyms for critical race theory and so-called diversity, equity, and inclusion programs.

The National Defense Authorization Act, which funds the Department of Defense for fiscal year 2024, “offers an opportunity to fight back, but this final version missed the mark,” he said.

Heritage Action labeled the revised NDAA as a key vote for lawmakers.

Sen. Tommy Tuberville, R-Ala., who had blocked hundreds of military promotions for 10 months to challenge a Pentagon policy promoting abortion, said Tuesday that he would free up most of the promotions for Senate votes. Report: State Abortion Bans Led to Tens of Thousands More Births

A recent analysis conducted by the Institute of Labor Economics has revealed a significant increase in the number of births following the enactment of state abortion bans since the overturning of Roe v. Wade in June of the previous year. The study found that approximately 32,000 more babies are born annually due to these restrictive measures, impacting birth rates in every state with an abortion ban.

The analysis, utilizing data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention spanning from 2005 to June of the current year, indicated that between a fifth and a fourth of women residing in the 14 states with abortion bans, who might have otherwise sought an abortion, did not proceed with the procedure. Consequently, an average of 2.3% more babies were born in states with abortion bans compared to those without.

Certain demographic groups experienced a more pronounced rise in births, including women in their 20s, black women, and Hispanic women. Researchers suggest that financial constraints, making it difficult for these groups to travel out of state for an abortion, contributed to the observed increase. The distance to abortion clinics also played a crucial role, with Texas witnessing a 5.1% spike in births after passing an abortion ban, accompanied by a significant increase in the average driving distance to the nearest clinic.

States such as Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana, which implemented abortion bans, experienced substantial increases in orders from Aid Access, an overseas abortion pill provider. However, the overall impact on birth rates in these states was less than anticipated.

Mother, Son Charged With Kidnapping Over Minor’s Out-of-State Abortion

An 18-year-old man and his mother have been arrested after police said he raped a 15-year-old girl and took her across state lines for an abortion.

According to the Idaho State Journal, Kadyn Leo Swainston, 18, and his mother, Rachael Swainston, of Pocatello, were each charged with several felony crimes following an investigation that began in June.

ISJ noted that Kadyn Swainston has been charged with rape, second-degree kidnapping and three counts of producing child sexually exploitative material. Rachael Swainston has been charged with second-degree kidnapping, trafficking in methamphetamine, two counts of possession of a controlled substance – one each for possessing fentanyl and psychedelic mushrooms — and one count of harboring a wanted felon.

Reportedly, the investigation started in June when the 15-year-old girl’s mother contacted authorities to report that her child had been raped. Additionally, the mother claimed that her child was taken to Bend, Oregon for an abortion without her permission. Veterans Administration Now Aborting Babies, Has Performed Dozens of Procedures

The Department of Veterans Affairs provided 88 abortions in the first year that it offered the procedure, according to a document sent to Congress this month that was obtained by Military.com.

The number was given to the House Veterans Affairs Committee after the Republican-led panel threatened to subpoena the VA if it did not provide detailed data on the abortions it has provided.

While the department gave the committee top-line figures of how many abortions it performed, it declined to provide any more detailed data, citing privacy concerns — prompting committee leaders to renew their subpoena threat.

The VA began offering abortions for the first time in September 2022 after states banned or severely restricted the procedure in the wake of the Supreme Court ruling in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization. The ruling overturned 50 years of nationwide abortion rights granted by Roe v. Wade. Ad Blasted for Twisting Jesus’ Words to Support Killing the Unborn (VIDEO)

An ad being used by a pro-abortion organization in Ohio to lobby voters to support late-term abortion procedures there is being slammed for twisting Jesus’ words to support killing the unborn.

The ad also drew the comments of Mark Harrington, the president of Created Equal.

“Twisting of scripture by ‘pastors’ to advance abortion should anger every Christian. We need to turn our anger into action to defeat Ohio’s Issue 1,” he said.

Biden DOJ’s Response to Pregnancy Center Attacks Shows ‘Double Standard,’ Pro-Life Advocates and Legal Experts Say

In the wake of the Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade, pregnancy centers, churches and abortion clinics have been hit with a wave of violence, but pro-life advocates and legal experts who spoke with the Daily Caller News Foundation raised concerns that the Department of Justice (DOJ) is applying a “double standard” when investigating these crimes.

Over 100 churches, pregnancy centers and their staff have been firebombed, vandalized, graffitied, assaulted and intimidated since the leak of the Supreme Court’s Dobbs opinion in May 2022, according to a May 2023 report from the Family Research Center. Yet the DOJ has failed to use the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act, which “prohibits threats of force, obstruction and property damage intended to interfere with reproductive health care services” and places of religious worship, to charge the individuals responsible, despite going after dozens of incidents targeting abortion clinics, according to advocates and legal experts that spoke with the DCNF.

“We have well over 300 churches, Catholic churches, that have been everything from firebombed, robbed and spray painted, alongside pregnancy care centers as well,” Tom McClusky, CatholicVote’s director of Government Affairs, told the DCNF. “And I believe the only time that the FACE Act has been used is for some people down in Florida and the Justice Department will not verify a [Freedom Of Information Act] request asking how many times has this been used.”

Rev. Jim Harden, president of the pro-life organization CompassCare, which was firebombed by pro-abortion activists in 2022, told the DCNF that he believed “without hesitation” the DOJ’s behavior “is a double standard.” He also noted the recent conviction of a woman, who spray-painted “LIARS” on one of the organization’s signs in New York’s Erie County. Leftist Judge Removes ‘Unborn Child’ From Ballot Questions for Abortion Amendment

A Missouri judge rewrote the ballot summaries for six proposed initiative petitions to institute abortion rights into the state constitution to remove language such as “unborn child,” “end the life,” and “the right to life” — a setback to the anti-abortion rights side.

In a ruling issued on Monday, Judge Jon Beetem wrote that 13 of the phrases used in the summaries written by Missouri Secretary of State Jay Ashcroft were “argumentative” and obscured the intention of the amendment to protect abortion rights and other rights related to reproduction.

A near-total abortion restriction in Missouri took effect immediately after the announcement of the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization Supreme Court decision in June 2022 that overturned federal abortion rights.

Anna Fitz-James, representing the political action committee Missourians for Constitutional Freedom, filed 11 versions of an abortion amendment proposal to enshrine abortion into the state constitution in March.

Beetem said Ashcroft, who is running in the gubernatorial election on a strong anti-abortion platform, ignored the other elements of reproductive healthcare in the ballot summaries, such as contraception and fertility care. Report: Leaked Veterans Affairs Training Video Promotes Abortion, Says Pregnancy Not Exclusive to Women (VIDEO)

A training video allegedly leaked from the Department of Veterans Affairs promotes abortion and even suggests that men can become pregnant, Fox News reported Wednesday.

The “Reproductive Health Training” video from April 2023 tells staffers how to talk to veterans who are considering aborting their babies.

“Before discussing counseling procedures, the video began with a ‘note’ on language that clarified, ‘Not all people who seek abortions identify as women.’ Another note read, ‘Person who is pregnant’ is inclusive and preferred to ‘pregnant woman,’” according to the report.

Another slide tells staffers to use certain language about abortion, like “embryo or fetus” instead of “baby or unborn child,” “veteran or person” instead of “mother,” and “embryonic or fetal cardiac activity” instead of “fetal heartbeat.”
