Dr. Alveda King, the niece of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., has recently called abortion giant Planned Parenthood a “killing machine” in front of a California city counsel.
In May, King was invited by the Imperial Valley Coalition for Life to address the El Centro City Council about a new Planned Parenthood facility in the area which is seeking to perform abortions . . .
King is outspoken about the way that Planned Parenthood targets the Black community and she now feels they have their sights set on other minorities . . .
“Many people know that Planned Parenthood is after money offering abortions and harmful byproducts and in that process they target the most vulnerable, American women and families, Latinos and African Americans. Now, they are after the women of Mexicali and their babies because they are easy prey to their lies that they offer “safe, legal and rare abortions” . . .
“Here in El Centro, there’s a new sports pavilion and a proposed Planned Parenthood facility. The MLK sports pavilion offers help for the youth of the community while the Planned Parenthood facility offers death…It’s time to pray that Planned Parenthood doesn’t move in with it’s well planned killing machine, ” she said. We are constantly bombarded with liberals claiming that women are furious with Republicans for, as liberals claim, denying women birth control and their right to an abortion.
Progressives, especially those running for public office on the Democrats’ side, have told us repeatedly that women want abortions and free birth control. Period. To not accept that, means that you have declared “war on women.”
New information, however, proves women don’t always want what Democrats tell us women want, especially when it comes to abortion.
Nevertheless, Democrats will disregard this information and continue their attempts in the upcoming election to convince Americans that Republicans “hate” women, as the reoccurring theme of war on women is likely to rear its ugly head once again.
In 2012, Republicans came under fire after Virginia pushed for a measure which would require all women requesting an abortion to first undergo a transvaginal ultrasound, which women’s health advocates deemed “state-sponsored rape.” Other states, require noninvasive ultrasounds prior to obtaining an abortion.
NARAL Pro-Choice America, a group that is made up of pro-choice women and men who lobby Congress to persuade elected officials to support the right to choose, considers these measures, typically authored by Republicans, as a way to force women to have an unwanted, unnecessary medical procedure which hinders their choice to receive an abortion.
Many presidential candidates forego any discussion on the abortion issue because they deem it an unpopular subject.
President Ronald Reagan may be the last Republican president to campaign on the issue of abortion as he did in 1980, following the Roe vs. Wade decision in 1973.
It is predicted that Democratic presidential candidates in 2016 will not abandon the “war on women” scheme but will expand their message to also include economic issues faced by women and families.
Prepare yourselves to hear lies about how women have found it difficult to obtain abortions because of Republican interference and that Republicans have created the “financial struggles” that women endure by paying them less than men.
It won’t matter to Democratic candidates that they have done what they are accusing Republicans of doing, as Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton proved when she paid women less than males during the time she was in the U.S. Senate.
“Too many women still earn less than men on the job. Women of color often make even less,” Clinton recently said during a campaign speech in North Carolina. Hypocritical indeed but it appears lost on Clinton.
Combine the new economic message with a pro-women agenda blaming it all on the GOP and Democrats just might have a “winning ticket.” Or will they?
The tide may be shifting, especially when it comes to the issue of abortion. The Democrats may be losing their grip on being able to use this as a campaign weapon against Republican presidential candidates.
Sometimes, even the slightest shift in a trend can bring enormous hope. Progressives may be less likely to sway the American public this time that women only want abortions and do not seek alternatives.
According to a recent Associated Press survey, abortions are on the decline.
Even in states where new laws make it more difficult to receive an abortion on demand, abortions have continued to drop since 2010. Nationwide, the rate of abortions has decreased by about 12 percent since 2010.
States that have been outspoken when it comes to passing anti-abortion laws have also seen abortion numbers drop by more than 15 percent since 2010.
More liberal states such as New York, Washington and Oregon have also witnessed similar declines in abortions, even though they have unrestricted access to abortion.
Hawaii had the largest percentage decline in abortions where abortions fell from 3,064 in 2010 to 2,147 in 2014.
In addition, it should be noted that five of the six states with the biggest declines have not passed recent laws to restrict abortion clinics or providers.
Explanations vary as to what has caused the decline.
Abortion-rights advocates attribute the decrease to expanded access to effective contraceptives while pro-life advocates say that there has been a shift in societal attitudes, with more women choosing to carry a fetus to full-term.
“There’s an entire generation of women who saw a sonogram as their first baby picture,” said Americans United for Life president Charmaine Yoest. “There’s an increased awareness of the humanity of the baby before it is born,” she said as the explanation for the change in attitude among women.
The data shows that women aren’t in lockstep with the Democrats’ agenda and that may be good news for Republicans.
Now the question is what will Republicans do with this information as they head into the 2016 campaign as likely targets for the Democrats’ “war on women” crusade and the cause of women’s economic woes?
Will Republicans play into the Democratic falsehood that all women pursue abortions and once again fail to take a stance on abortion that is reflective of the viewpoint of the American people?
Will they challenge Clinton’s hypocrisy in paying her female employees less while pointing the finger at Republicans for unequal pay?
It currently seems that Republican presidential candidate Scott Walker is not concerned with Democratic tactics on the issue of abortion.
Walker indicated recently that he would sign a 20-week abortion bill without rape or incest exceptions. Many see this as a risky hardline to take that may assist Democrats in using Walker’s actions to prove that Republicans are continuing their “war on women.”
The news regarding a decline in abortions is good news for those who may have been losing hope and feeling that America had truly lost its way. Many feared that the number of abortions would only increase over time and they had given up believing that the trend could ever be reversed.
Many also believe that the Republican Party has lost its way and that there is no hope. They see many Republican as those who don’t push back against the Democratic lies and have long since stopped listening to the voice of the American public, for the most part.
Should we be optimistic that Republican presidential candidates will be able to prove naysayers wrong this election by standing up for their beliefs and by returning to a time when the voice of America was actually heard?
The Republican presidential candidates have a wonderful opportunity to use the facts about the decline in abortion to defeat the Democrats’ lie regarding “war on women” and they have facts to show Clinton paid women less than the men she employed while Secretary of State.
Whether the Republican presidential candidates are up for the task, however, remains to be seen.

The number of American babies who have been aborted in the years since the Supreme Court’s 1973 Roe v. Wade decision has already exceeded the entire population of the United States as recorded in the 1880 Census . . .
In 1880, according to the Census Bureau, there were 50,189,209 people in the United States. These included, the Census Bureau notes, Mark Twain, who had not yet written The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn; Thomas Edison, who would start his electrical company two years later; and Booker T. Washington, who would open the Tuskegee Institute the next year.
The Guttmacher Institute has estimated the number of abortions in the United States in each year from 1973 through 2011. They add up to 51,376,750—or 1,187,541 more than the entire population of the nation as of 1880. In each of the last 36 straight years for which Guttmacher has published an estimate of the number of abortions, the number has exceeded 1 million. Photo Credit: Life News Understandably, medical professionals don’t like it when they are wrong about a diagnosis, especially when it relates to a woman’s pregnancy. This is because in the past doctors and hospitals have been sued for giving incorrect information to women about their unborn babies.
For example, in 2013, a mother in England filed suit against a hospital where doctors told her she should have an abortion of her supposedly “brain dead” unborn baby. She followed their advice and took an abortion drug but her baby was still born perfectly healthy without any brain damage.
In a story published on a her website, a Jewish woman named Hadassah Sabo Milner explains how she almost lost her baby after doctors told her that her child was no longer viable. When Milner first discovered that she was pregnant, she was cautiously excited because she had already suffered two miscarriages . . .
Immediately, the Ob-Gyn wanted to perform a D&C because she believed the baby was gone and that Milner’s health could be in jeopardy. Thankfully, Milner refused because she wanted to give it more time and speak with her Rabbi about the situation. Her doctor was very reluctant to wait but granted her request and performed another ultrasound the next day . . .
Although the remainder of Milner’s pregnancy was very difficult, she delivered a healthy baby boy at 37-weeks who weighed 5lbs 12ozs. After her son was born, her doctor told her that from now on she would listen to women when they want to wait a few days before having a D&C. Thousands of pregnancy centers across the nation are the counterbalance to the abortion industry by providing women with tangible help and real alternatives to abortion. But pregnancy centers in California may soon find themselves forced to promote abortions under legislation pending in the California legislature.
The state Assembly has passed AB 77, the Pregnancy Counseling Discrimination Rule, would require all pregnancy centers to promote abortions to their clients. There is no conscience clause or opt out for centers that provide pregnant women assistance without abortions or abortion referrals. Failure to comply carries a $500 fine for first offense and $1,000 for each subsequent offense. The bill authorizes the Attorney General, city attorney, or county counsel to impose the civil fines.
Lori Arnold of the California Family Alliance, says pro-life Californians need to speak up against the bill now that it heads to the California Senate.
Despite passionate opposition from pro-life legislators and thousands of concerned citizens, the California Assembly today voted 46-25 to pass AB 775, the so-called “Reproductive FACT ACT.” This highly controversial and anti-free speech bill now advances to the Senate.
“This bill strikes at the heart of free association, free political and religious speech and practice, and the self-evident truth of biology,” said Assemblyman Jim Patterson (R-Fresno). “Privately-funded Pregnancy Resource Centers, and the compassionate women who volunteer at them, have a First Amendment right to Freedom of Speech. And it is our duty as officers of the state of California to protect that right, not to assault it.” (Read more from “California Assembly Passes Bill to Make Pregnancy Centers Promote Abortions” HERE)

A convicted con artist duped the state into paying for her late-term abortion, a procedure which otherwise would not have been funded with public money, according to court records.
Chalice Renee Zeitner made up a story about having cancer in order to qualify for an abortion while on Arizona’s Medicaid insurance, and forged a doctor’s note to support her claim, according to charging documents.
A doctor performed the abortion when Zeitner was 22-weeks pregnant.
Arizona’s Medicaid, known as AHCCCS, will only pay for an abortion in cases of rape or incest or “medical necessity,” which include cases where the pregnancy causes or worsens a serious health risk to the mother.
Zeitner, 29, received “what was thought to be a medically necessary late-term abortion,” court documents state. (Read more from “Charges: Arizona Woman Made up Cancer Story to Qualify for Tax-Funded Abortion” HERE)

By Steven Ertelt. LifeNews has confirmed that the House of Representatives this week will indeed vote on the Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act — the bill to ban abortions after 20 weeks, on the anniversary of the conviction of Kermit Gosnell. That anniversary and the vote will take place on Wednesday.
On this day two years ago, Gosnell was found guilty of killing Baby A, Baby C and Baby D by snipping their necks in brutal abortion-infanticides still legal in the United States. He was also convicted on hundreds of lesser charges ranging from infanticide to running a corrupt organization.
Leading pro-life groups are working hard to generate calls and emails to members of Congress to support the bill.
National Right to Life told LifeNews: “The bill is the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act (H.R. 36), which would extend general protection from abortion to unborn children beginning at 20 weeks fetal age — nationwide. This bill could save the lives of thousands of babies each year. This federal bill was developed from model legislation developed by National Right to Life, which has been enacted so far in 11 states.” (Read more from “House Will Vote on 20-Week Abortion Ban on Day Kermit Gosnell Convicted of Snipping Babies’ Necks” HERE)
Abortion Doctor Who Did 1,200 Abortions Tells Congress to Ban Them
By Steven Ertelt. This week, the House of Representatives is voting on a bill that would ban abortions after 20 weeks of pregnancy. The last time the House considered this bill, a former abortion practitioner urged members of Congress to pass it.
Dr. Anthony Levatino is a pro-life physician from New Mexico but, before having a change of heart on the issue of abortion he was an OBGYN who also performed abortions. Levatino did as many as 1,200 abortions — some of them after 20 weeks of pregnancy. Then, after his daughter died in a tragic automobile accident, he re-evaluated his position on abortion and stopped doing abortions.
Dr. Levatino told members of a Congressional committee that they should support the Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act and ban abortions after 20 weeks of pregnancy.

Popular Christian singer Amy Grant is defending her partnership with Melinda Gates of the pro-abortion Gates Foundation after LifeNews.com exposed the partnership and the foundation’s massive financial support for the abortion industry.
Amy Grant [claims she is] pro-life on the issue of abortion, but she recently announced she is teaming up with one the head of the most pro-abortion foundations that shuttled millions towards abortions and abortion businesses.
In an opinion column on Fox News’ web site, Grant announced she is partnering with Melinda Gates of the Gates Foundation to push birth control and contraception in impoverished nations. Grant said she hosted Gates recently at a Christian event in Nashville, Tennessee to discuss their partnership.
“I hosted Melinda Gates in Nashville as she came to meet with our vibrant faith community for the first time. I didn’t know Melinda, and she didn’t know me. But we did know each other’s work well. What an amazing experience to hear about her faith journey, how Christian music had influenced her commitment to the world’s poor, and to learn more about how I could join hands with her and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to help 120 million women around the world, to save their lives and the lives of their children,” Grant writes . . .
Other responses from Amy Grant’s Facebook page make it clear Grant is defending the contraception portion of her partnership with the Gates Foundation but ignoring it’s enormous investment in the abortion industry. Whenever Fox News resident psychiatrist, Dr. Keith Ablow visits the Outnumbered couch, you expect some outrage to ensue. And Tuesday’s #OneLuckyGuy did not disappoint during a discussion about the custody rights of Modern Family star Sofia Vergara’s ex-fiancé when it comes to their frozen embryos.
“Good for him,” Ablow said in response to Loeb’s fight to bring the embryos to term, despite the couple’s breakup. “Why would a woman’s right to decide what to do with a frozen embryo trump a man’s right every time?” he asked. “If he wants to bring these embryos to term, good for him. He wants to parent. If he wants to have them adopted, good for him. You know what, it’s not a coin toss. It’s whoever wants that potential being to survive, that’s who wins.”
Ablow then called out Vergara’s role on the “liberal” Modern Family, where “anything goes,” an implicit reference to the gay couple on the sitcom. “Interesting that when it comes to her choices in life, she wants all the control,” he said. “Not very ‘modern,’ Sofia.”

A new pro-abortion bill in Oregon has pro-life advocates up in arms and urging pro-life Oregonians to contact their members of the state legislature. And the state House today approved the measure.
Oregon House Democrats voted to further erode parents’ rights in Oregon by passing House Bill 2758, which would allow an enrollee on a health insurance plan to demand that the explanation of benefits not be sent to the primary holder of the insurance policy. This would allow a 15 year old child to obtain an abortion without her parents’ knowledge even though it is paid for by her parents’ insurance policy.
“Involvement in their child’s life is the most important tool parents have to protect their children from abuse,” said Gayle Atteberry, Executive Director of Oregon Right to Life. “But the abortion giant Planned Parenthood has managed to get every Democrat in the House to help them do secret abortions paid for by unknowing parents, endangering children in Oregon.”
Every Republican member of the State House of Representatives opposed HB 2758, citing some of the unintended consequences of the bill. Representative Cedric Hayden carried a minority report for the Republican Caucus. (Read more from “Oregon House Passes Bill to Charge Teen’s Abortion to Parents’ Insurance Without Them Knowing” HERE)
