Rev. Bill Owens: Administration ‘Is Promoting Murder’ by Promoting Abortion (+video)

Photo Credit: CNSNews.com/Penny StarrRev. Bill Owens, president of the Coalition of African American Pastors, said Tuesday that the Obama administration’s promotion of abortion “is promoting murder.”

“Something has to be done, and for this man, this administration to promote abortion is promoting murder,” Owens said at the National Press Club on Tuesday when CNSNews.com asked about a report showing that more unborn black babies were aborted than born in New York City.

As CNSNews.com previously reported, in 2012, the number of black babies killed by abortion totaled 31,328, while those born totaled 24,758, according to the New York City Department of Health and Hygiene.

Planned Parenthood Told Them Their Abortion Was Risk-Free, Now They Can’t Have Children (+video)

There’s a group of women Planned Parenthood doesn’t want to talk about. In fact, they won’t even admit they exist. They’ll gladly usher vulnerable women into their abortion chambers. But when those very same women experience physical or psychological effects of their abortion, they’re considered an anomaly.

They don’t fit the façade the abortion industry has carefully built for public consumption. According to the Planned Parenthood website, there are no long-term risks associated with abortion. They reject any link between abortion and breast cancer. They deny that women may experience intense psychological consequences. And they claim there’s no relationship between abortion and infertility, miscarriage or future premature birth. Call it misleading, neglectful or deceptive, Planned Parenthood’s marketing is intentionally designed to point women in one direction—in favor of abortion.

The ramifications for women’s health and future fertility are huge. Planned Parenthood cites that in the US, an estimated 4 out of 10 women facing an unplanned pregnancy will choose abortion. That means millions of women are post-abortive. What’s important to note is the impact may not be felt immediately. Many women experience an initial sense of relief. In their minds, their “problem” has been taken care of. Later, when issues do surface, she may not make the connection that there’s a link to her abortion experience. These women then suffer from what seems to be unexplained physical or mental conditions.

A study from Norway shows that abortion can be tied to long-term psychological distress. For five years, researchers followed women who had miscarriages and women who had abortions. What they discovered was that women who suffered a miscarriage, experienced more anxiety and depression early on. But abortion was associated with increased anxiety two years and five years after the event.

Pro-abortion activists want you to believe that abortion is “safe.” Not true. And when things go wrong, it can be physically devastating. Planned Parenthood in Birmingham, Alabama was sued when a botched abortion left a young woman infertile. Roberta Clark came to have a “safe and legal” first-trimester abortion. An ultrasound was performed and the worker concluded that she was eight weeks, four days pregnant with an intrauterine pregnancy. A pelvic exam was given confirming the same diagnosis.

By Barbara Hollingsworth.

Planned Parenthood of Northern New England (PPNNE)–which received more than $2.75 million in government funding in 2012–has produced and posted online a video specifically aimed at teenagers that promotes bondage and sadomasochism (BDSM) and proposes “rules” to follow when engaging in these activities.

“People sometimes think that those who practice BDSM are emotionally scarred or were once abused—not true, it’s a total myth,” the host of the video, Laci Green, informs its intended audience of teens.

“BDSM relies upon and creates trust,” she says.

In a message published at the beginning of PPNNE’s 2012 annual report, PPNNE President Meagan Gallagher described the genesis of the project that produced the video on bondage and sadomasochism.

Australian TV Personality Commits Suicide after Depression Triggered by Abortion

Photo Credit: Jill Stanek This is such a tragedy. And abortion proponents share the blame. They, of course, push for easy access to abortion, deemphasizing its after-affects to the point they absolutely refuse to acknowledge post-abortion depression, which further incapacitates those actually living through it.

Charlotte Dawson, RIP, was born in New Zealand but achieved fame in Australia as a model and a judge on Australia’s Next Top Model.

From The Telegraph, today:

In the end it seemed like the final, inevitable episode of a tragic soap opera: Charlotte Dawson —the model, TV star and social crusader who spent many of her adult years battling depression —ended her life at the age of 47.

It is understood Dawson was found hanged in her luxury Woolloomooloo Finger Wharf apartment by a security guard on Saturday morning, the day after the birthday of her ex-husband and the man she still described as the love of her life – disgraced Olympic swimmer Scott Miller….

Abortion and The Heart Cases: I Am Not The Rapist’s Child (+video)

Photo Credit: LifeNewsWow! I hate that phrase. “Rapist’s child”, “rapist’s baby”, “rape baby”, or “product of rape”—all equally despicable, yet intentional, pejoratives used by abortion activists to debase those conceived in such horrid violence. As if these revilers had any control over the circumstances of their own conception, they stand as judge and executioner of human beings with the exact same cellular makeup.

Do we refer to children as the “drug dealer’s child” or the “adulterer’s child?” President Obama’s alcoholic father was married multiple times. In fact, his NOT-THE-RAPISTS-CHILD-FBfather was married to two different women concurrently. Do we call Obama the “bigamist’s child” or the “alcoholic’s child”? That would be horrible. Granted, people hold various views of our Commander-in-Chief, but who would call him the Abandoned-in-Chief because of his deadbeat dad (no matter the wishful dreams he had of his father)?

When do we ever define an innocent child by the crimes of either parent? This is only necessary to those whose ideology demands the dehumanization of that life to justify killing via abortion. It assuages those who demand that certain human life have zero civil rights.

This year is the 50th anniversary of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, celebrated as one of America’s most pivotal moments. Most don’t realize that it is nearly a mirror copy of the Republican-only passed Civil Rights Act of 1875, championed by famed abolitionist (and my hero) Frederick Douglass. The act was later ruled, in 1883, unconstitutional by the Supreme Court. (They have often been Supremely wrong!) February is Douglass’ birth-month as well as President Abraham Lincoln’s. Both men changed the trajectory of our nation’s civil rights. Lincoln’s conscience was reshaped by Douglass, a man whose name is synonymous with abolition (despite Steven Spielberg’s grotesque omission of him in his award-winning eponymous film). Lincoln’s heart was moved by the eloquence and conviction of a man who wasn’t even considered human. The leader of the Party created to abolish slavery was compelled to rethink his views of humanity and equality by a former slave who abortion activists, today, would call a “rapist’s child.”

Wendy Davis Gets Real: No 20-Week Abortion Ban I Could Support

Photo Credit: AFP/Getty ImagesWendy Davis must be dizzy from all the spinning she’s done this week on the question of abortion.

Tuesday morning the Dallas Morning News reported that Davis had said she could support a 20-week ban on abortion, just not the specific one included in the bill she filibustered last June. Davis said “I would have and could have voted to allow that to go through, if I felt like we had tightly defined the ability for a woman and a doctor to be making this decision together and not have the Legislature get too deep in the weeds of how we would describe when that was appropriate.”

The reaction from some on the left was disappointment but the NY Times decided to take the lemons and make lemonade. In a story published Thursday they praised Davis’ nuanced position on the issue and assured readers “Ms. Davis and her aides had made similar comments previously.” In other words, Davis openness to a 20-week ban isn’t really news.

But even as the Times was adjusting to the new normal, Davis was pulling the rug out from under them. She told the San Antonio Express-News Thursday that her comments to the Dallas Morning News had been mischaracterized. “What I tried to convey there was that it’s impossible for the Legislature to define artfully enough exceptions that will accommodate everyday situations that women are facing in that arena, and that it has to be left to a woman and her doctor” Davis explained.

Abortion Worker: It Would “Torment My Soul” to See Babies’ “Tiny Crushed Bodies”

Photo Credit: LifeNews In 2006, Destiny Image Publishers published a book by author Cheryl Chew called Make Me Your Choice. This powerful pro-life book tells moving stories of post-abortion women who suffered from guilt and grief and managed to find peace and healing. Chew also published the testimony of a woman named Judy. Judy worked for an OB/GYN who performed abortions (1).

Judy first described the way she was told to prepare women for their abortions:

During this time [I worked for the OB/GYN] my duties involved preparing the patients for the procedure. I was instructed to counsel with them if they had any questions. If they were having an abortion, I was to reassure them about their decision by telling them that it was all right and that “they were just getting rid of a blob of tissue.

Very few surgical abortions are done before the sixth week (2). By this time, the brain has divided into its hemispheres and is giving off measurable brain waves (3), and the embryo’s heart is beating. You can see an amazing video of a four-and-a-half-week-old embryo’s heart beating here. At this time, the heart beats 113 times a minute – faster than the average heartbeat of an adult.

Even at the earliest stages, these women were not “just getting rid of a blob of tissue.”

Planned Parenthood Suing Over Alaska Abortion Reg

Planned Parenthood of the Great Northwest sued the state health commissioner Wednesday over regulations that would further define what constitutes a “medically necessary” abortion for purposes of receiving Medicaid funding.

The lawsuit, filed in Anchorage Superior Court, seeks to have the regulations struck down as unconstitutional and to block the state from enforcing them. The lawsuit alleges the regulations violate the rights to equal protection, privacy and health and are also a violation of the administrative procedure act. The lawsuit says the department violated the act by not holding a public hearing on the proposal.

A spokeswoman for Planned Parenthood of the Great Northwest, Kristen Glundberg-Prossor, said the regulations circumvent a 2001 Alaska Supreme Court decision, which held that the state must fund medically necessary abortions if it funds medically necessary services for others with financial needs. The lawsuit lists as defendants Bill Streur, the commissioner of the Alaska Department of Health and Social Services who proposed the regulations, and the department.

A health department spokeswoman said Streur had not seen the lawsuit and would not comment until he has reviewed it with the Department of Law.

Endorsement of Wendy Davis Triggers National Boycott of Girl Scout Cookies

A part of every Thin Mint and Do-Si-Do, every Samoa and Savannah Smile goes to support abortion advocacy. So say John Pisciotta, who runs a tiny pro-life organization in Waco, Texas, and a dozen national pro-life organizations he has convinced to join him in a national boycott of Girl Scout cookies that will be announced in Texas tomorrow.

A few weeks ago, the Girl Scouts designated Wendy Davis as an “incredible woman” who deserved to be on the list of 2013 “Women of the Year.” Only a month earlier, the organization promoted Kathleen Sebelius as a woman of “courage” on its Facebook page.

Davis is not known for much more than exaggerating her life story and for her filibuster of a pro-life bill in the Texas legislature. Her critics point out that the bill she filibustered was one that limited abortions after viability.

Kathleen Sebelius has been the bête noir of the pro-life movement for her role in Obamacare and mandating abortion coverage even for religious entities, what some Catholic bishops have called the largest expansion of abortion in the country since Roe v. Wade.

All this was too much for Pisciotta, who will ask families across America not to participate in the Girl Scouts’ fundraising through cookie sales.

Ted Cruz Wants to Make Sure You Didn’t Miss Brit Hume’s Epic Anti-Abortion Rant

Fox News political analyst Brit Hume made a passionate moral argument against abortion on “Special Report” on Wednesday that just may go viral after Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) uploaded it on his YouTube channel.

Referencing the 41st anniversary of Roe v. Wade, Hume said the Supreme Court decided that a “generalized right to privacy that they basically invented meant that a woman has a constitutional right to snuff out an unborn life — a human being with a beating heart.”

“That’s what a fetus as young as six weeks is,” he added.

Hume expressed shock that, by some estimates, as many as 55 million abortions have occurred since the landmark ruling.

Since 1973, he continued, “science has given us an ever clearer picture of just how much of a baby a fetus is.”
