Harvard Professor Slammed For Allegedly Relying On AI In Anti-Trump Op-Ed

A star economist at Harvard is taking heavy criticism over accusations that artificial intelligence did most of the work on his anti-Trump column.

Ricardo Hausmann wrote the opinion piece attacking President Donald Trump’s tariffs for the Financial Times, which ran it Thursday. He is the Rafik Hariri Professor of the Practice of International Political Economy at Harvard Kennedy School and director of Harvard’s Growth Lab. The outlet later attached an editorial note to the article conceding that AI had played a role.

“It has come to our attention that AI was used to condense a longer draft of this column prior to submission to the FT and our own editorial involvement,” the note reads, according to the Financial Times. The paper added that its code of conduct bars AI from the writing process.

Readers flagged the column on social media over its wooden prose before the disclaimer appeared. One X user called it the worst AI slop yet seen in a major outlet. Another posted a screenshot from the detection tool Pangram indicating the 841-word piece was 71% AI-generated.

Pangram and its chief executive, Max Spero, have become a frequent authority in disputes over AI authorship, though the tool’s reliability remains contested, according to Slate. The Guardian dismissed one Pangram accusation against a longtime staffer as preposterous. A separate case saw the detector score a novel at 78% AI, a finding that helped sink the author’s book deal even as she denied using the technology, according to Fortune. US Reveals Concern That China Now Has Top Chip Making Tools

The Trump administration is reportedly concerned that a cutting-edge European chipmaking tool may have ended up in Beijing’s hands.

Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick told semiconductor company ASML in a recent meeting that he worried one of their chip-printing machines was sold to China, sources familiar with the discussions told Bloomberg. ASML has never been allowed to ship the extreme ultraviolet lithography (EUV) machines to China due to export controls enacted during President Donald Trump’s first term.

ASML has denied reports that it shipped any EUV machinery to China, Reuters reported on Friday.

“ASML has never shipped an EUV machine to China nor have we shipped to China any component, module or equipment specially designed to be used in an EUV machine,” the company told Reuters in a statement.

An ASML spokesperson and the Commerce Department each did not immediately respond to the Daily Caller News Foundation’s request for comment. (Read more from “US Reveals Concern That China Now Has Top Chip Making Tools” HERE)

Top MAGA Influencer Revealed to be AI — Created by a Guy in India Who Made a Mint off Lonely Men Online

A comely MAGA influencer who racked up millions of fans on Instagram who posted patriotic content and often posed in a bikini while ice fishing, drinking Coors Light, and shooting guns has been unmasked — as an Indian man who put himself through med school on the proceeds.

“Sam,” a 22-year-old orthopedic surgeon in training, told WIRED that he got the idea to sell AI-generated images of a young woman in a bikini while scrounging for money in school — and trying to save up enough to emigrate to the US after graduation.

He turned to Google’s Gemini AI for advice and decided to create a “hot girl” crafted specifically for the “MAGA/conservative niche,” after the software told him that “the conservative audience (especially older men in the US) often has higher disposable income and is more loyal,” according to WIRED.

And that’s how Emily Hart was born.

According to her profile, she was a registered nurse with Jennifer Lawrence looks who offered red meat posts to lonely conservative men online.

One post showed her firing a rifle with the caption: “If you want a reason to unfollow: Christ is king, abortion is murder, and all illegals must be deported,” and “POV: You were assigned intelligent at birth, but you identify as liberal.” (Read more from “Top MAGA Influencer Revealed to be AI — Created by a Guy in India Who Made a Mint off Lonely Men Online” HERE)

Elon Musk’s AI Chatbot Grok Blames Donald Trump for Texas Flood Deaths

Elon Musk’s AI chatbot Grok is joining woke idiots like Rosie O’Donnell in blaming President Donald Trump for deaths resulting from the horrific flooding in central Texas during Independence Day weekend. After receiving pushback, the AI chatbot ultimately conceded to X users by changing its claim from “directly” to “likely,” and promising to “aim for more nuance.”

During the early hours of Friday, a flash flood ravaged Kerr County, Texas causing widespread damage and road washouts, as well as the deaths of nearly 70 people. The search for 11 missing girls and others continues.

Elon Musk’s AI chatbot, Grok, was quick to blame the tragedy on Donald Trump.

“Grok is woke and full of shit. What the fuck is happening to X?” popular X influencer Catturd wrote, sharing a screenshot of a post in which the AI chatbot claimed cuts to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and National Weather Service (NWS) resulted in deaths.

“Trump’s 2025 cuts slashed NOAA/NWS funding by [approximately] 30% and staff by 17%, impairing forecast accuracy,” Grok claims, adding, “Warnings underestimated rainfall, contributing to inadequate alerts for the flash floods that killed 24 and left [approximately] 24 Camp Mystic girls missing, presumed dead in ongoing searches.” (Read more from “Elon Musk’s AI Chatbot Grok Blames Donald Trump for Texas Flood Deaths” HERE)
