Obama Era Emails: Burisma-Linked Firm Offered Ukrainian Prosecutor ‘Access’ to Clinton Camp

Former Ukrainian prosecutor Yuriy Lutsenko told former Obama State Department official George Kent he had been “pitched” by a Hunter Biden and Burisma-linked lobbying firm to give him “access” to “high levels” of the Clinton campaign in the weeks leading up to the 2016 presidential election, according to emails between former Obama State Department officials obtained by Fox News.

The lobbying firm, Blue Star Strategies, is reportedly under federal investigation for potential illegal lobbying. Politico first reported the investigation, which allegedly comes as the Justice Department is ramping up enforcement of foreign governments’ efforts to influence U.S. politics. Those efforts have been linked to work by Republicans, but the probe into Blue Star also puts firms and operatives connected to the Democratic Party under the microscope.

In an email released to Citizens United on Thursday as part of a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) filing, and obtained by Fox News, former deputy assistant secretary of state for Europe and Eastern Europe George Kent wrote to a number of Obama administration officials about a meeting he had with Ukrainian prosecutor Yuriy Lutsenko in September 2016 about Blue Star Strategies. . .

Kent, a key witness in the first impeachment proceedings against former President Trump in 2019, said the two discussed options of a trip Lutsenko had been planning to the U.S., and “confirmed he has been pitched by Blue Star, not sought them out.” . . .

“Blue Star CEO [Karen] Tramantano’s pitch was that she could gain him access to high levels of the Clinton campaign (GPK note: she was Podesta’s deputy as deputy COS the last year of Bill Clinton’s tenure), and that was appealing—to meet the possible next Presidential Chief of Staff,” Kent wrote. During a school board meeting on Tuesday to discuss some of the finalists for the Thomas Jefferson Middle School, immigration activists expressed their disapproval over one of the finalists: former President Barack Obama.

“I will not be part of renaming a school after someone who did not and does not represent the undocumented community,” said District 60 school board member Edgar Castellanos. Castellanos said he came to the United States undocumented as a child. . .

She said former President Obama failed to deliver on promises to help the immigrant population.

Spiritual Advisor To Barack Obama and George W. Bush Sentenced To 6 Years for Multi-Million Dollar China Bonds Fraud

The spiritual advisor for both Barack Obama and George W. Bush during their time as President has been sentenced to six years for his role in a multi-million dollar investment fraud scheme.

Kirbyjon H. Caldwell, 67, was sentenced by US District Judge S. Maurice Hicks on Wednesday in Shreveport, Louisiana where he and his co-defendant, Gregory Alan Smith, were indicted in 2018. . .

According to the New York Times, he spoke at the 2000 Republican National Convention, delivered the benediction at Bush’s 2005 inauguration, and officiated his daughter Jenna’s wedding in 2008.

Caldwell supported Obama’s 2008 presidential run and was part of a group of Christian pastors who would pray with him as well as being on his healthy fatherhood and family task force, the NYT added. Obama to Give Green Light to Dems to Take Biden Out?

If Joe Biden becomes inaugurated as the next president, it will likely be his former boss, Barack Obama, who will personally have Biden ousted from office, says talk-radio star Rush Limbaugh.

“I think we’re seeing enough information on the Bidens now to safely say that Biden will serve at the pleasure of Barack Obama,” Limbaugh said Tuesday on his national broadcast.

“If Obama gives the green light to Democrats to take Biden out, there will be ample evidence that Biden has lied about his knowledge his family was selling his name and office with his permission, and if that’s in fact the case, then there’s likely unreported money that will be found.

“The fake news media will temporarily become hard news media if the decision is made that Biden has to step down. Until that time, they will be covering for Biden, they’ll be making excuses for Biden, they’ll be ignoring all the negatives.”

Limbaugh continued: “I really think Obama’s running the show. Obama’s been running the Democrat show since 2016. He ran the operation against Trump. He ran the Russia sting. He ran the Russian coup. He ran everything, and he’s now running this. And as long as Biden accomplishes or does what Obama wants, then he’ll be fine. Obama “Jokes” About Birther Conspiracy (VIDEO)

Former President Obama is mocking the “birther” conspiracy theory about him touted for years by President Trump, joking that he was “able to get away with” not being born in the United States.

The 44th president, who was born in Hawaii, is set to appear Monday night on “The Daily Show” to promote his new book, “A Promised Land.”

In a preview clip from the interview with Trevor Noah, the Comedy Central host cracked that Obama’s comical roasts of public figures have led them to make White House bids.

“I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but you have an ability to inspire people to run for the highest office in the land with some of the jokes you tell about them,” Noah told a grinning Obama.

Some pundits have theorized that Obama’s biting remarks at the 2011 White House Correspondents’ Association dinner about Trump, who was a guest there, might have helped motivate the then-real estate developer to run for office.

Obama: Georgia Will Determine Future of Joe Biden’s Presidency and the World

Former President Barack Obama rallied Georgia Democrats Friday in support of Jon Ossoff and Rev. Raphael Warnock in the Senate runoff elections in January.

“You are now once again the center of our civic universe because the special election in Georgia is going to determine ultimately the course of the Biden presidency,” Obama said. . .

“One of the reasons that Georgia ended up voting, after recount after recount, for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris was because there [are] a number of folks who decided, you know, partisanship only goes so far,” he said.

“This is not just about Georgia. This is about America. This is about the world, and it’s in your power to in fact have an impact,” he said. . .

Liberals Freak Out After Obama Refers to ‘Defund the Police’ as ‘Snappy’ Slogan

Progressive lawmakers took to social media on Tuesday night to criticize former President Barack Obama for saying that “snappy” slogans such as “defund the police” turn people off.

“Defund the police” became a rallying cry during U.S. protests against police violence and systemic racism after the May death of George Floyd in Minneapolis police custody. In May, the advocacy group Black Lives Matter called for police defunding on a nationwide level.

“I guess you can use a snappy slogan like ‘defund the police’ but, you know, you lost a big audience the minute you say it,” Obama said, “which makes it a lot less likely that you’re actually going to get the changes you want done.” . . .

Some progressive lawmakers sharply rebuked Obama’s comments. Minnesota Representative Ilhan Omar tweeted on Tuesday that defunding the police was a “policy demand.”

Without Evidence, Former President Obama Accuses Hispanic Trump Voters of Bigotry (VIDEO)

Former President Barack Obama accused Hispanic voters of being bigots, claiming that they ignored the current administration’s “racist” immigration policies to vote for Donald Trump because “he supports their views on gay marriage.”

“People were surprised about a lot of Hispanic folks who voted for Trump,” Obama said on The Breakfast Club podcast Wednesday. “But there’s a lot of evangelical Hispanics who, you know, the fact that Trump says racist things about Mexicans, or puts detainees undocumented workers in cages, they think that’s less important than the fact that he supports their views on gay marriage or abortion.”

In states like Texas and Florida, Latino voters swung for Trump over Biden in the 2020 election. In Florida, nearly half of Latino voters cast ballots for President Trump, and in Texas’s Rio Grand Valley, Trump flipped Zapata County, one of the bluest counties along the river with 52.5 percent of the vote.

Despite Obama’s claims that gay marriage drove “evangelical” Hispanic voters to Trump, causing them to ignore Trump’s “racist” immigration policies, same-sex issues did not appear as one of the top ten important issues for Americans going into Election Day and was not a top ten priority for Hispanic voters specifically. . .

Instead, Hispanic voters showed concern for things like the economy, COVID-19, and violent crime, all of which Trump heavily focused on in his re-election campaign, promising more jobs, faster vaccine development, and calling for law and order.

Obama Didn’t Want To Campaign for Joe Biden

Former President Barack Obama was adamant that he wouldn’t have returned to the 2020 campaign trail if he didn’t have to.

“It is not my preference to be out there,” Obama told CBS in an interview that aired Sunday.

“We were in a circumstance in this election in which certain norms, certain institutional boundaries that are so extraordinarily important, had been breached,” he added. “It was important for me as somebody who has served in that office to simply let people know this is not normal.”

Obama created problems for President-elect Joe Biden this cycle by not endorsing his two-term vice president early during the primary. Obama Reveals if He’ll Take a Cabinet Position in the Biden Administration

Former President Barack Obama has ruled out taking on any formal position in President-elect Joe Biden’s administration — quipping that wife Michelle would leave him.

“I will help him in any ways that I can. But now, you know, I’m not planning to suddenly work on the White House staff or something,” Obama told anchor Gayle King in a sit-down interview that aired Sunday on “CBS This Morning”

King responded, saying, “No cabinet position for you, Mr. President?”
