Parkland Father Exposes How Killer Was Enabled by Obama’s School-Leniency Policies

Andrew Pollack, whose daughter, Meadow, was a victim of the Parkland massacre that left 17 dead, is on a mission to make sure other parents are aware of what failed in Broward County so that future school tragedies might be prevented.

The mourning father has written a book spelling out the countless red flags school officials and law enforcement were handed regarding the deranged murderer who took the lives of so many innocent victims, including Meadow — and says policies implemented by President Barack Obama prevented the reporting of an abundance of evidence that could have been used to stop his daughter’s killer. . .

The piece goes through a litany of events which — although apparently disturbing enough for Cruz’s teachers to report in their notes — were either never reported to or dismissed by proper authorities. One noteworthy example was that Cruz’s psychiatrist insisted her patient should not be admitted in to JROTC citing “the safety of others/himself,” but he was nonetheless enrolled in the program and “literally” given “an air gun, shaped like an AR-15, and [allowed to] practice shooting.”

On Wednesday, Pollack explained to Fox News’s Tucker Carlson, a specific example of how policies implemented by the Obama administration contributed to Cruz slipping through the cracks.

“Students were allowed four misdemeanors per school year without being introduced to the judicial system,” Pollack said. “And then, at the end of the year — if you can believe this, Tucker — so that was in the ninth grade, you had a kid next to your kid in the classroom, commits four misdemeanors, and then the next year in tenth grade, he resets at zero, again, and is allowed another four misdemeanors per school year.” (Read more from “Parkland Father Exposes How Killer Was Enabled by Obama’s School-Leniency Policies” HERE)

BOMBSHELL: Mattis Says Obama Refused to Respond to Iran’s ‘Act of War’ Because of Nuclear Deal

In a new book, former Defense Secretary James Mattis takes the Obama administration to task for its weak response to the growing threat of the Iranian regime. One bombshell included in the book is the Obama administration’s tepid response to what Mattis referred to as an “act of war” by Iran – the planned bombing of a café in Washington, D.C.

The Washington Examiner reported on Mattis’ book, where he describes how during his time as the leader of U.S. Central Command (where he served between 2010 and 2013) he repeatedly warned the Obama administration about Iran and Sunni Islamist terrorists, though he felt Iran posed the “more deadly of the two threats.”

Mattis claims in his book, Call Sign Chaos: Learning To Lead, that Obama fired him because of these warnings, and that the administration didn’t even tell him about the Iranian plot to bomb the café. Mattis was informed of the plot by a duty officer in Tampa, Florida, who told him then-Attorney General Eric Holder and then-FBI Director Robert Mueller (yes, that Robert Mueller) held a press conference announcing the arrest of two Iranians who had planned the attack on Café Milano. The Examiner describes the café as “a high-end restaurant in Washington that was a favorite of the rich and famous, including Saudi Arabia’s ambassador, Adel al-Jubeir.”

“Attorney General Eric Holder said the bombing plot was ‘directed and approved by elements of the Iranian government and, specifically, senior members of the Qods Force.’ The Qods were the Special Operations Force of the Revolutionary Guards, reporting to the top of the Iranian government,” Mattis writes in his book. . .

“In my military judgment, America had undertaken a poorly calculated, long-shot gamble. At the same time, the administration was lecturing our Arab friends that they had to accommodate Iran as if it were a moderate neighbor in the region and not an enemy committed to their destruction,” Mattis writes. “As long as its leaders consider Iran less a nation-state than a revolutionary cause, Iran will remain a terrorist threat potentially more dangerous than Al Qaeda or ISIS.” (Read more from “Bombshell: Mattis Says Obama Refused to Respond to Iran’s ‘Act of War’ Because of Nuclear Deal” HERE)

Obamas Accused of Unethical Actions: ‘Not Consistent with the Values They Preach’

Barack and Michelle Obama have been accused of “deplorable behavior” by a Los Angeles entertainment attorney for filing a “meritless petition” amid a trademark dispute over the name of their company, Higher Ground Productions.

The legal team representing the Obamas filed a petition to cancel the trademark of an e-book publishing company called Higher Ground Enterprises, much to the chagrin of the publishing company.

“This is really deplorable behavior. I hope that the Obamas realize that these actions are not consistent with the values they preach and that they instruct their attorneys to immediately dismiss the petition,” attorney Larry Zerner told Fox News in a statement that was first given to The Hollywood Reporter.

Zerner told Fox News that the “Obamas have known for almost a year” that their Higher Ground Productions trademark application was rejected by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office because it was too similar to his client’s Higher Ground Enterprises. . .

“[T]he consumers of ‘media production services’ covered by the Application are likely to be highly sophisticated,” the Obamas’ team said in a letter to the Trademark Office, according to THR. “Media production services are generally offered not to individual consumers but to commercial entities and professionals in their field.” (Read more from “Obamas Accused of Unethical Actions: ‘Not Consistent with the Values They Preach'” HERE)

Obama Warned Biden about Presidential Bid: ‘You Don’t Have to Do This, Joe’

Former President Barack Obama reportedly wasn’t particularly sold on the idea of Joe Biden, his vice president for eight years, mounting his own bid for the White House in 2020.

“You don’t have to do this, Joe, you really don’t,” Obama told Biden before the 76-year-old formally launched his campaign in April, according to the New York Times.

“Mr. Biden — who thinks he could have defeated Donald Trump four years ago — responded by telling Mr. Obama he could never forgive himself if he turned down a second shot at Mr. Trump,” the Times reports. . .

Biden famously failed to lock down Obama’s endorsement upon entering the race, though his former boss did issues a statement saying choosing the then-senator as his running mate in 2008 was “one of the best decisions he ever made” and still remain close friends.

Biden, the 2020 Democrat frontrunner among a crowded primary field, has seen his poll numbers after bruising clashes with Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) in the first presidential debate over his past remarks about bussing. Notably, former first lady Michelle Obama refused to defend Biden as the former vice president found himself in hot water for his position on busing and his recent praise of segregationists. A series of gaffes by the former vice president has also hurt his standing among voters, reportedly prompting his advisers to discuss possibly scaling back his public appearances to prevent more embarrassing moments. WATCH: CNN Host Forced to ADMIT Child Immigrant Detention Happened Under Obama

CNN anchor John King admitted what many liberal critics of President Donald Trump refuse to acknowledge about controversial migrant child detention in a segment Tuesday.

“I just want to remind people, that under president Trump, Democrats don’t like anything he says about immigration, he’s had problems with his own party on immigration,” King explained.

“But this particular issue is not new. I just want to go back, this is an interview, going back to 2014, with the then-Democratic president of the United States,” he added.

“There are some Democrats who come to the table and say Trump created this crisis, this is all about Trump,” King continued. “Alright, maybe it escalated under Trump, the numbers are certainly higher under Trump, but this has been a problem the United States government has had to figure out a solution to, for a very long time.” . . .

“Oh, our message absolutely is don’t send your children unaccompanied on trains,” he said, “or through a bunch of smugglers, that is our direct message to families in Central America, do not send your children to the borders. If they do make it, they’ll get sent back…”

Obama’s White House Deleted Evidence of Border Crisis Before Trump Took Office

By The Daily Caller. The Obama administration deleted hundreds of speeches and statements on the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) website just hours before President Donald Trump officially entered office, according to research released Tuesday.

A collection of 190 transcripts of speeches on ICE’s website was deleted on Jan. 18 and late in the evening on Jan. 19, 2017, according to research conducted by the Sunlight Foundation, a nonpartisan organization that advocates for government transparency. Statements made by high-ranking ICE officials regarding controversial immigration topics such as sanctuary cities, E-Verify, treatment of detainees, and other issues were included in the reported deletions.

“With a couple of clicks of a mouse, access to a federal government web resource containing 12 years of primary source materials on ICE’s history was lost,” the Sunlight Foundation wrote, noting that archived speeches dating back from 2004 were among those deleted.

Speeches from former acting ICE Director Thomas Homan, a public supporter of Trump’s immigration policies, were among those prominently included in the deletion list.

A February 2016 speech delivered to the Senate Judiciary Committee by Homan was among those removed. Then the executive associate director of Enforcement and Removal Operations, Homan spoke about the “Unaccompanied Minor Crisis,” telling lawmakers how the agency and the Obama White House were working to manage the surge of young illegal children reaching the southern border en masse. A California Desert Town Sees Surge in Migrants as Border Crisis Worsens

By The LA Times. . .The scene that unfolded recently in this desert city about 100 miles from the U.S.-Mexico border exemplifies how the immigration crisis has spilled over into communities farther north.

With a historic flow of Central American families fleeing poverty and violence, federal officials earlier this spring began releasing migrants on their own recognizance from inundated detention centers in growing numbers. About 175,000 have left custody since Dec. 21.

Nonprofit and faith-based organizations in Riverside and San Bernardino counties are among those that have stepped in to help the asylum seekers. But the mounting costs have raised doubts — among local officials and advocates alike — about how long they can keep doing so.

Many of the drop-offs have taken place in Blythe, a city of about 20,000 along the Colorado River across from Arizona. Since March, said Riverside County spokeswoman Brooke Federico, 2,600 migrants have arrived here. (Read more from “A California Desert Town Sees Surge in Migrants as Border Crisis Worsens” HERE)

Watch: Obama Decides to Uncontrollably Lie About Guns in U.S.

Former President Barack Obama told multiple lies on Thursday to a crowd in Brazil while discussing gun laws in the United States — something that he repeatedly did during his presidency.

In a clip flagged by Grabien’s Tom Elliott, Obama stated: “Some of you may be aware our gun laws in the United States don’t make much sense. Anybody can buy any weapon, any time. Without much, if any, regulation, they can buy it over the Internet, they can buy machine guns.” . . .

Stephen Gutowski, a Second Amendment reporter for The Washington Free Beacon, highlighted some of Obama’s in a series of tweets on Friday.

“Former President Obama just straight up lied about America’s gun laws while at an event in Brazil–a country with strict gun laws and an unfathomably-high gun murder rate,” Gutowski tweeted. “Former President Obama told the Brazilian crowd ‘anybody can buy any weapon any time without much, if any, regulation’ of our gun laws which is just plain false on its face. A complete lie.”

Obama Administration’s Actions Against Press Worse Than Previously Known

By Daily Wire. On Thursday, the Columbia Journalism Review reported on the results of a Freedom of Information Act request for documents related to the Obama Justice Department’s attempts to crack down on leaks to reporters which reveal that the Obama administration’s actions against the press “were broader than previously known.”

The report — which begins by warning against the threat the Trump administration poses to the freedom of the press — presents an alarming picture of the previous administration’s efforts to surveil the press and track down sources of leaks (h/t Ed Morrissey). . .

“In 2013, the Justice Department launched a brazen attack on press freedom, issuing sweeping subpoenas for the phone records of the Associated Press and several of its reporters and editors as part of a leak investigation,” the authors report. While those subpoenas have long been understood as “a massive intrusion into newsgathering operations,” they note, the recently unearthed 2014 report reveals that the subpoenas targeting AP “told only part of the story.”

The Office of Professional Responsibility’s report on the Obama Justice Department’s subpoenas of AP phone records reveals that “the DOJ’s actions against the AP were broader than previously known, and that the DOJ considered subpoenaing the phone records of other news organizations, including The Washington Post, The New York Times, and ABC News,” the authors explain. The report also reveals “how narrowly the DOJ interprets the Media Guidelines, the agency’s internal rules for obtaining reporters’ data.” (Read more from “Obama Administration’s Actions Against Press Worse Than Previously Known” HERE)

Report Reveals New Details About DOJ’s Seizing of AP Phone Records

By Columbia Journalism Review. A new report obtained by the Knight First Amendment Institute at Columbia University and the Freedom of the Press Foundation (where the authors work) under the Freedom of Information Act shows that the DOJ’s actions against the AP were broader than previously known, and that the DOJ considered subpoenaing the phone records of other news organizations, including The Washington Post, The New York Times, and ABC News. Moreover, they reveal how narrowly the DOJ interprets the Media Guidelines, the agency’s internal rules for obtaining reporters’ data.

In May 2012, the AP published several articles about a successful CIA operation that thwarted a Yemen-based bomb plot. These articles contained classified information and their publication prompted a leak investigation. In February 2013, then Deputy Attorney General James Cole approved a request by DOJ attorneys to subpoena the telephone records of the AP as part of this investigation. . .

The report, which was submitted to then–Attorney General Eric Holder in 2013, reveals that the leak probe was broader than previously understood. It reveals, for example, that, while the Justice Department obtained telephone toll records for 21 telephone numbers, the agency in fact issued “30 subpoenas to obtain telephone toll records for 30 unique telephone numbers.” The report reveals that those 30 subpoenas were intended to target seven reporters and editors, and covered a period of six weeks spanning April 1, 2012 to May 10, 2012.

The report also shows that, at least at one stage of their investigation, Justice Department attorneys considered subpoenaing the records of The Washington Post, The New York Times, and ABC News. What’s more, the report strongly suggests that the attorneys went so far as to obtain “telephone numbers and other contact information” for reporters and editors at those organizations who had worked on articles about the Yemen bomb plot. The report records, however, that the attorneys ultimately decided against issuing additional subpoenas. (Read more from “Report Reveals New Details About DOJ’s Seizing of AP Phone Records” HERE)

Trump Admin Announces Rollback of Obamacare Reg That Defined Sex as Gender Identity

The Trump administration announced plans to roll back an Obamacare non-discrimination regulation that redefined discrimination “on the basis of sex” to include both gender identity and the termination of pregnancy, i.e. abortion.

In a Friday morning press call, Office of Civil Rights Director Roger Severino at the Department of Health and Human Services told reporters that the agency would move forward on reform of a rule enforcing section 1557 of Obamacare. The current regulation in question was issued during the waning months of the Obama administration in 2016, but blocked by federal judges before it could take effect.

“Plaintiffs will be forced to either violate their religious beliefs or maintain their current policies, which seem to be in direct conflict with the rule and risk the severe consequences of enforcement,” federal Judge Reed O’Connor wrote at the time.

To date, Severino explained Friday, the department during the previous and current administrations has been enjoined from enacting the Obama-era rule and now plans to replace it, bringing the department’s official enforcement mechanisms back in line with the original intent of the legislation passed by Congress.

“When Congress prohibited sex discrimination, it did so according to the plain meaning of the term, and we are making our regulations conform,” Severino explained in a statement.

“The American people want vigorous protection of civil rights and faithfulness to the text of the laws passed by their representatives,” the statement continues. “The proposed rule would accomplish both goals.”

The administration also claims that the announced rule change would come with the added benefit of saving the American taxpayer over $3 billion per year in regulatory compliance costs alone. An HHS fact sheet explains that the costs come from a part of the 2016 regulation that requires that “every significant publication in healthcare larger than a postcard sent to a member of the public” has to include a notice of non-discrimination and another notice translated into at least 15 different foreign languages.

The added postage and paper cost for those notices adds up, Severino says, but the notices have proven ineffective at their intended purpose of ensuring that people who speak other languages are more informed about health care policy.

“As a child of Hispanic immigrants, I know how vitally important it is that people receive quality healthcare services regardless of the language they speak, and this proposal grants providers the needed flexibility for achieving that goal,” Severino’s statement says, adding, “The American people are tired of unnecessary regulations getting in the way of access to affordable healthcare.”

Elsewhere in the administration, the Department of Housing and Urban Development also announced a rule change that would eliminate an Obama-era regulation transgender mandate requiring HUD homeless shelters to accommodate people based on gender identity rather than sex.

Democratic efforts to redefine sex discrimination to include gender identity and abortion protections didn’t end with the Obama administration; they’ve simply moved their fight from the executive branch to the legislative.

The Democrat-controlled House recently passed the “Equality Act,” which seeks to rewrite the definition of sex discrimination in federal civil rights law; it would also create a “a universal right to abortion, up until birth,” according to one Republican congresswoman. Barack Obama, Envious of Michelle’s Memoir Success, Throws Her Under the Bus

The success of Michelle Obama’s memoir Becoming apparently has Barack Obama feeling a lot of pressure for his own forthcoming memoir. Of course, his memoir has yet to be finished, and its release has been pushed back to 2020 or even 2021. “The writing has been going more slowly than he’d expected,” reports The Atlantic. “And according to several people who have spoken with him, the 44th president is feeling competitive with his wife, whose own book, Becoming, was the biggest release of 2018 and is on track to be the best-selling memoir in history.” . . .

His unfinished and yet-to-be-titled book will be his third memoir and will cover his political career from his 2004 Democratic National Convention speech through his presidency. The former first couple received a combined $65 million for their post-White House memoirs. His insecurity and competitiveness, while laughable, isn’t even the best part of the report:

Speaking on the condition of anonymity, like others in this story, these sources note he’ll occasionally point out in conversation that he’s writing this book himself , while Michelle used a ghostwriter.

It’s really sad that Barack Obama feels so insecure and competitive about his forthcoming book that he feels the need to point out that Michelle didn’t actually write her bestselling memoir. Did anyone really think she wrote it herself anyway? Why would Barack feel the need to throw her under the bus like that?
